ICloud photostream is not working anymore

Since I updated the latest iCloud 3.1 Control Panel, my photostream on my laptop PC (Windows 7-64 bit) stopped working. It worked just fine before the update.
Please advise.

I am having the exact same issue. Everythig is working on the iCloud, but not longer on BB Z10. However it had been working for at least a month.

Photostream Upload Not Working Anymore

Hi, A couple weeks ago I updated our iPad and iPhone to iOS 5 and downloaded the iCloud Control Panel to my PC (Windows 7). Put some photos in the Upload folder (where it was automatically installed in My Pictures) and it worked just fine. Today, I added 20 or so new photos from a trip to the Upload folder but nothing happened. It did not sync the photos to my iPad or iPhone. I left it for a few hours, and still nothing. I tried signing in and out of the iCloud Control Panel, but that didn't do anything. Very strange that it was working, and now it's stopped. Grrr! So, the photos just sit in the upload folder waiting.... help?!

Don't forget about recreating the photo stream folder and the uploads folder with exact names. Let the iCloud (panel) create the My Photo Stream folder. When you take your first photo on your phone, and it downloads to your computer it will create it.
I have been waiting for this issue to get cleared up before attempting to set it up for hubbys phone and computer. Did it today and everything worked perfectly. I didn't have to do any of the steps that I had to go through. Very strange.

Are you getting this messages in iPhoto? If so try the following (again?):
Log out of iCloud in the System/iCloud preference pane and disable Photo Stream in iPhoto's Photo Share preference pane. Then log back in and re-enable, respectively. That should jump start Photo Stream.

I am in the UK and eventually found the problem was due to my BT Home Hub Router. Not sure where you live, but of you are in the UK, this might work for you.

There's an issue related to the BT homehub that is providing a hostname that is "syntactically incorrect" for several smtp server.
Here's how you can fix it.
Using your internet browser, go to the address "192.168.1.254
- Follow instructions to reset your password if asked.
- Then go to "Settings", then "Advanced Settings" and "home network"
You will see there all the devices that are connected or that has been connected before. It's gonna be easyer if yout computer is the only one connected.
Your computer should have a name like "unknown-xx:xx:xx:xx:xx ...
Click on this name, chose another name without any special characters, like "macbook" for exemple.
And then click on "apply"
- restart your computer.
That should fix the issue.

Photostream not working anymore - no clue as to why

Hello all,
So, I cleaned out my macbook a few nights ago to make it fresh for summer. Everything went well except, for some reason, photostream isn't working anymore. iPhoto says I have to 'turn it on in my iCloud-settings'. Problem is, Photostream IS turned on there, but still all my photos are gone.
The complete stream seems to have disappeared. This also goes for my iPhone and Apple TV. I seem to be stuck in an infinite loop and I don't know how to get out of it.
Judging by my iCloud storage-control, my photos are still up there somwhere.
Anyone know how to fix this? I'd like them back...

What did you clean and how did you clean?
If you used a kind of spring-cleaning app, it may have been too eager and cleaned necessary caches where the Photo Stream is living on your Mac.
If the photos that have been downloaded from the Photo Stream are still on your Mac, you should be able to find them in cryptically named subfolders in the iLifeAssetManagement folder in your user library
/Users/your short user name/Library/Application Support/iLifeAssetManagement/assets/
Are there still photos there? Then make a backup copy of the photos, before they will vanish.

After updating my iPod touch 3rd generation to IOS5 some default apps are not working (anymore)

Hi,
I updated my iPod touch 3g from IOS 4.x to IOS 5 last week and since then my iPod makes troublle!
First of all, during the update I did not see any Problems. After the update, I mean the step where the data will be restored to the iPod, I synchronized some APPS at the same time, maybe that was a big mistake. My iPod makes hard resets many times in a loop until it frozes.
So the only thing I could do here is pressing the home button and the power switch at the same time until it gets rebooted. The sync started again and it looked like everything runs fine.
As I tried to use iMessage first time I realised the first Problem: I am unable to loginto iMessage with my Apple ID. My Apple ID runs fine, I can by Apps and so on. I also enabled iCloud to see that my Apple ID is ok. But logging into iMessage I put in my Apple credentials and Password, click on next, wait 3 seconds and the screen flips back. So this feature is not working.
Next issue I see is that randomly my iPod hard resets itself. Even if I don't do anything with my iPod I can see that it resets itself, booting with the apple icon. This happens minimum three times a day... (Exception Type: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGSEGV), Kern_INVALID_ADDRESSat 0x00000000)
Today I tried YouTube, an internal Application which I cannot reinstall. It's not working anymore, starting YouTube says: Unable to connect to YouTube!
I have no clue whats going on here because email and web is working fine.
In my eyes I would like to reset the whole device to a state before running IOS5 and I would try the update again. But my Question is how to reinstall IOS5?
If IOS5 will not run smoothly on my iPod, I would prefer to backref to iOS4x.
Is there anyone who could help me out here?

Found the rootcause. The battery was damaged and unable to have enough power to keep the device alive. After changing the device problem is solved.

I have recently upgraded from my iphone 5 to a new phone. My iphone 5 's touch screen does not work anymore. I need to backup my phone, but I can't do it on itunes without my password. Everything besides screen is ok. Is there a way around it? :(

Everything besides the screen is completely fine-the screen will not recognize my finger anymore. I am not trying to fix the phone, but I need to have my contacts. The pictures have already synced, but I need my password to do a full backup. Unfortunately, I can't type in my password. Is there any way around it? If I take my phone to the apple store, will they be able to help me? I am not willing to replace the screen just to do this, however, so that is out of the question.

Someone else may have a workaround, but, as far as I know, if you cannot interact with the screen on the iPhone, there is no way to unlock it so you can get to your contacts.
Were you saving them to iCloud by chance? If so, you can restore them to your new phone.

CHANGING APPLE ID/EDIT ACCOUNT INFORMATION/CHANGE ITUNES COUNTRY
Tap Settings / iTunes & App Stores, then tap the Apple ID signed in. Sign out of the current Apple ID account and then sign in with another account or create a new Apple ID http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2731?viewlocale=en_US
Go to settings/facetime and tap the ID there and log out and log in with new ID.
Go to settings/messages and turn off imessages wait 30 seconds and turn it back on, go to “receive messages at” tap on the ID there, sign out and sign in with new ID.
Go to settings/icloud and delete the account and when prompted select “keep information on your device” then turn it back on with the new ID.
To edit account information tap Settings / iTunes & App Stores / Apple ID: / View Apple ID
To change your iTunes Store country, sign in to the account for the iTunes Store region you would like to use, tap Settings/iTunes & App Store/Apple ID/View Apple ID/Country/Region

Push Mail on iPhone not working anymore

Since I have switched from .me to iCloud push mail on my iPhone 4 has been not working anymore.
I already tried to solve the issue by deleting an re-adding my icloud account, however the problem is still there.
Also periodical check, in my case every 15 minutes, is not working. I always need to manually open mail and check if there are any new mails.
Anybody knows how to solve this issue?

For future reference, I removed my account (again), performed a "hard reset" (again), and configured the account (again). And now it works.
So, if your mail fails on your mobile, remove the account, perform a hard reset, and configure the account again. If this did not help, repeat until it works again.
What helped me was making screen captures of the account settings before removing the account.

Photostream does not work on iphone 5

I have an iphone 5 and IOS6 (beautiful phone!!)
My photostream does not work properly, I use the Icloud program (latest version) on my windows 7 pc
But whem i put a photo into the upload map, the photo does not appear in my photostream on my iphone.
I have reset the photostream on icloud.com, On my Iphone I have set the photostream of and deleted the photo's
But a new photo will not appear in my phoyostream when I do on my pc?
Can you tell me what's wrong

Hi Philip, I had a similiar problem when I upgraded from 4S to iPhone 5, basically when i had the iPhone 4S i deleted the pictures off the camera roll but kept them in the photostream.
When i upgraded to iPhone 5, the pictures in camera roll transfered over and only the last 30 days of photostream not all images. I phoned apple, I was told that you can save the picture to camera roll by selecting multiple images (click edit on photostream on you'r phone) in photostream then selecting "share" then select "save to camera roll" then you can take the pictures from there. But this did not work for me.
So what i did instead was download box.com app and got an account. I used this app to upload multiple images from my photostream to the cloud. You get 5gb free with box so more than enough for images. I then download this images on my laptop from the cloud directly.

Muse not working anymore

since the last update Adobe Muse is not working anymore for me. The sites open normally but then the Master Pages don't load properly and it freezes all the time.

1. What is the size of your .muse file?
2 Try to duplicate the .muse file, open it, and try to reduce child pages, and see if you get some improvement.
3. Do you have asset on Network drive, if yes, add these asset to local drive and then use them, see if that helps.
4. Are you using Mac/Windows?
Please let me know these details, and I will try to investigate.

Satellite U400 - the webcam does not work anymore

Hello guys here is my sudden probloema!
About a year ago I purchased a laptop
TOSHIBA - Satellite U400
with s.o. WinVista 32bit and with integrated webcam chicony etc. ....
For a year, everything worked correctly, but for some days now, the webcam does not work anymore.
As soon as I try to open it, a message of management software cam that says "Webcam driver open fail, please restart or computer room"
I tried to do it all: aggioronato and downloaded the drivers from toshiba, uninstalled the program and re installed the webcam ....! updated bios notebook ....! useless!
the strange thing .. well that going into device manager ... the webcam is not there ....! but if the launch seems to open just then check quell caz ... Warning!!

Are you familiar and comfortable with LINUX LIVE bootable discs to load an alternative operating system with unobtrusive but extensive Toshiba device support so you can determine if your webcam hardware is ruined or if the problem is software and possibly solved reinstalling Windows ?
At this point, you're pondering less time consuming but more expensive choices such as buying another web cam, or another computer and you might be temporarily borrowing someone else's web cam / using a non preferred spare web cam that isn't optimal for your needs.
Continuously downloading software, registry cleaners, and repeatedly reinstalling drivers will eventually ruin your Windows installation and consume more time than you've wasted so far and still doesn't guarantee to fix your malfunction.

TouchPad lock key does not work anymore on Dell XPS L401X

On my Dell XPS L401X laptop, there is a key to lock/unlock the touchpad. It used to work fine on Windows and on new fresh install ArchLinux, but now it does not work anymore. If I remember correctly, I did not change, configure any shortcut so far.
Any hint to fix this problem?
