Icloud popup

Icloud popup continuously. Different AppleId u/n than iCloud u/n email no longer in use. Cannot delete icloud account due req password which doesn't work. Phone useless. Very very mad.

The fix is to log into your current account. Go to appleid.apple.com and change the primary email and apple id back to the old email address (doesn't matter if you have it any longer). Once the change is made, then enter your password for that account on the device. Once you get in, go ahead and go back to appleid.apple.com and change it back. That fixed mine.

  • 'Sign in to iCloud' popup recurs on iPhone 5

The popup 'Sign in to iCloud' recurs about every 10 seconds. I hit Cancel, the message disappears but returns. I've turned off iCloud Drive but that has done nothing. Help, anyone? Thanks.

    Hello neiljgold,
It may help to sign completely out of iCloud, then sign back in.
On your iOS device: Go to Settings > iCloud, then at the bottom of the screen, tap Sign Out (Delete Account in iOS 7 and earlier).
Note: If you sign out of iCloud (or delete your iCloud account), iCloud no longer backs up your iOS data. You can still back up your device in iTunes. For more information, open iTunes, then choose iTunes > Help.

  • How to Disable iCloud popups in iTunes

For the last few weeks when I'm using iTunes (11.3) on Mac OS 10.6.8.  I keep getting annoying popups saying that for security reasons my iCloud session has expired.
I'm fairly IT savvy and don't know what use iCloud is to me, is so am pretty certain that I neither need nor want it.  Therefore I'm not about to install some random piece of software.
Is there some way of getting rid of it?  I've searched my iTunes settings and can't find an option for disabling iCloud.
Thanks for any help you can provide - it's annoying the heck out of me.

    Hi heather,
YAY! Glad that resolved your issue. iTunes uses Safari to connect to the internet - just behind the scenes, so it is not obvious.
Thanks for posting back with your good news!

  • Cannot stop icloud popup

I never have used iCloud but I updated my iphone 4S  to ios 8 and now I get a popup and I get an Apple id of an email address that is not current and I don't have the password. The iphone just keeps trying to verify. I've tried  setting up a new password but I get a message that I have failed too many times. I can't turn off Findmyphone without a valid password, so that I can restore the phone. Help please.

This is the message I get now:
Your request could not be completed.
This email address is no longer associated with Apple ID.
To clarify, this is an id that I do have the password for. Or I should say, did have. They still want me to verify a nonexistent email address.
I will try the Apple account security link. Thanks.

  • Is this a legitimate iCloud popup or a virus?

This pops up several times each week (no regularity in regards to what applications I have open at the time) and I always hit the cancel button...I don't really use iCloud, and since this popup doesn't show as an active application in my Dock, I have to wonder whether it is a virus trying to harvest my password for illicit use, or is it a legi.
    thanks,
    Garrett
    OS 10.9.3

Type any random text into it and see what happens. If it’s a harvester, it’ll accept the incorrect password, and you won’t have compromised your account. If it’s legitimate, it’ll tell you that you entered the wrong password.

  • Pages Mavericks iCloud popup window

How do you stop the pop up window opening when loading Pages  in Mavericks telling you you cannot open pages on iCloud because you have upgraded to iCloud drive-. It is becoming very annoying!!

You stop it when you upgrade to Yosemite, and the new Pages v5.5. Turning off everything in System Preferences > App Store doesn't prevent this intrusion. The fact that Pages can be configured to use Local storage, and you still get an update to Yosemite and iCloud Drive dialog, or update notification for Pages v5.5 (which requires Yosemite) shows how little attention that Apple is paying to end users.
I just sent Apple feedback on this issue, but since Mavericks is no longer Apple's focus, they will not pay attention.

  • How do I disable iCloud on iPhone5 running IOS 7?

How do I stop iCloud from running on my iPhone5 after upgrading to IOS7?
Roughly 24 hours after upgrading to IOS7, my iPhone incessantly started popping up an iCloud login window.
Canceling out of iCloud window, resuled in a new iCloud login window popping up.
The iCloud popup window would not give me enough time to do anything on my iPhone.  Including turning off Airplane mode, so entering my iCloud password would actually do some good.  Took three tries after getting iPhone connected, as if iPhone was sending garbage for password.
Never had this problem before, never got a request from iCloud for login; until I made mistake of upgrading to IOS7.
I don't use iCloud for anything, and don't want too.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.

  • My main account on my iPad is based off an email address that no longer exists and can not be recreated.  On top of that I forgot the password and answers to the security questions.  So I can not reset the password.  any suggestions?

I Now get constant pop ups to logon to iCloud but it wants a password that I forgot.  I also forgot the security question answers.  It can not email me a password reset because the email no longer exists and Verizon won't let me recreate it.  I know this will sound crazy but when I created the original Apple account with the old email address I put in a bogus birthdate because I do not like giving out personal info.
i Just want to do something to stop the iCloud popups.

Try contacting Support in your country, after confirming your id and that it's your account they should be able to reset its password.
Contacting Apple about account security : http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT5699
If your country isn't on that page then try this form and explain and see what they reply with : https://ssl.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html
When they've done that update the primary email address on the account to be an account that you have access to e.g. by tapping on it in Settings > iTunes & App Store and logging into it, via the Store > View Account menu option on your computer's iTunes, or via the 'manage your apple id' button on http://appleid.apple.com

  • I am trying to setup iCloud account and when I login I see a popup. The Maximum number of free accounts have been activated on this iPhone. Pls, help me fix it. What other accounts? Thanks

I am trying to setup iCloud account and when I login I see a popup. The Maximum number of free accounts have been activated on this iPhone. Pls, help me fix it. What other accounts? Thanks

Then you'll have to use another iOS device or Mac running OS X Lion or higher to create a new account for you to use on your phone.  If you don't have one, perhaps a friend would allow you to create and account on their device (note: this will use one of their three maximum accounts).  To do this, they would need to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account (which will delete the account from their device but not from iCloud), then allow you to sign back in with your ID to create the new account.  Then tap Delete Account to delete the new account from their device, and finally, sign back in with their iCloud ID to restore their iCloud account to their device.  Then you can sign in with your ID on your phone in Settings>iCloud and use the new account.

  • HT204053 I recently changed ny Apple ID but it did not transfer over to my iCloud account. How do I change my iCloud ID? The login popup for iCloud will not go away so I cannot get into my iPad since it pops up as soon as I turn the device on.

I recently changed my Apple ID but it did not transfer over to my iCloud account. How do I change my iCloud ID? The password for the new Apple ID does not work since the iCloud default user name is imbedded in the login box. The login popup for iCloud will not go away so I cannot get into my iPad since it pops up as soon as I turn the device on and re-occurs every few seconds.

You have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iPhone, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use.  If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPad on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iPad when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

  • In iCloud Numbers how do I set up a popup menu in an entire column

I have a database using iCloud Numbers. The table is for my tax deductions for 2014. In one column I have Doctors/Dentists/etc. Instead of typing that title each time I create a new entry in that column, how can I set a popup menu like I can in Excel and choose Doctors/Dentists/etc?

    Hi Aunest,
You have couple of options here.
You can make a copy of the site-wide template for every catalogue and build the menu manually.
The other option is to use:
    {module_cataloguelistdump,-1,rowLength,targetFrame,sortBy}
Displays the List of all Catalogues as names that are links to those catalogues
    Parameters:
Use -1 to display parent catalogs, use -2 to display all catalogs including sub-catalogs or a catalogue ID to display the subcatalogues of a particular catalogue
rowLength - will limit the number of items per row when items are displayed as a list. Default is 1 item per row.
targetFrame - e.g. _blank. Specify the frame you want the item to open in
sortBy - will sort the web apps in specified order
    Alphabetical - sorts items alphabetically
Weight - sorts items by weight
    Example
{module_cataloguelistdump,-1,1,_blank,Alphabetical} - this module will display the catalogue list in the new window, alphabetically and all in one column
