ICloud question related to my iPhone
How do I delete my iCloud account on my iPhone since I have to sign in and I don't know my password? They can't sent me my password since the email account for my old Apple ID is no longer valid. In the end I'm really just trying to get my iCloud account set up to have the same Apple ID and password as I have for iTunes. Thanks for any help.

Sorry this is a long question and I suspect there are answers already some where I cannot find them. Also you any one has related question please advise. these questions also should apply to mac and ipads to.
My phone was stolen and I am trying to get the low down on aspect of the iPhone Operation to know how to best manage and limit the phone usage and protect my data. .

In Australia $150,000 phones where stolen last year and according to the Police a large percentage were iPhones. So these questions will help many people. However I got the impression that some of the questions are sensitive and Apple are relutant to answer. At least that is the impression form the Genus's at the Apple Store.

Thus find my phone has not returned a result. The police advised the phones get switch off taken to a place where there is no coverage. Such as building basement and which on and reset and/or hacked.
They advise that the phones get sent oversea and sold there as the IMEI block is only effect with in australia and the blocked IMEI codes are not shared internationally.

The police advise that professional thiefs will hit and are steal several phone and device and then move on the the next area every hour. The are well organised and appear to target SmartPhones and other devices.
1. If you lock the iPhone with Find My iPhone while it is of line. Will the Apple sever record when and where the phone connect to the Internet next so you can see when you next use Find My iPhone; or do you have to keep checking and hope it is connect when I am check. (Server will Keep Checking/I have to keep checking)
2. If I place a Message, Lock or Wipe request while the phone is off line will the message or command be recieved and actioned as soon as the phone go online. (Server will take care of it/I must keep requesting)
3. Which phone model and operating system versions have security loop holes that allow the Professional Thiefs to by pass the lock screen pass code is set?
3.1 If the above what is accessable once by passed (Change Pass Code, Contact, SMS, Phone, Phone Anwers, Notes, Most Apps, All Apps)
4. Is it possable to Jail Break some phone model and operating system versions if the lock screeen and passcode is set? In which case which phone models and OS versions?
4.1 If an iPhone is Jail Broken will the data remain intact. Thus once Jail Broken all the information can be accessed. (Yes Jail Breaking Only Hacks The Operating System/No The Process of Jail Breaking Wipes All The Data.
5. Which phone model and operating system versions have security loop holes that allow the Professional Thiefs to Wipe the phone so it can be reused?
5.1 If a phone is wiped can a user attach the phone to an other Apple Store/iTunes Account. If the phone on the orginal Account has the phone is set to Locked in the Find My iPhone. (No as the Phone internal Serial Number is Assigned to the original Account/Yes as the Phone internal serial numbe is not use as a security features)
5.2 If the answer to the above is Yes the phoine can be assigned to another account why? As if a phone is solen and can be used in the Apple Store or with Apple Services it become a small deterant to theif as my buys of stolen will not want a Jail Broken phone.
6 Is there are regulary updated list that Model and OS version and the exploit available with OS release dates.
This way it will allow people do know:
The version of the OS has been around for x days and is still safe so I feel comfortable or IT department decide updating now is OK.
An exploit has become available for a partuilar phone model and operating system version so should either update or roll back to a safe version.
6.1 Is it possable to roll back to a previous version of the phone to a Operating System

The iPhone has three unize numbers:
SIM Card ID which the thief can bypass by changing the SIM Card so this is not of interest.
IMEI Communication Chip ID which cannot be changed in the phone. This getting the mobile network company to block that number and share this blocked number with other mobile companies. How far the network companies share the blocked IMEI numbers is of interest.
GUID Phone Chip ID which cannot be changed in the phone. I have a number of questions in this area as this can be used to cripple the iPhone if implemented by apple correctly. This GUID appears to go by a number of names.
I have been down to the Apple Store and the Genus(?) was very vague answers and the so called Genus known less than me and I am NO Apple Mac or iPhone expert. The only thing they could suggest was blocking the IMEI number with the mobile network company and wiping it with find my phone. They denied the existence of a GUID. Even though in the Apple store you can download app’s the report the GUID.
I should add that I have had good support from the apple store in the past. The Apple staff did claim to be experts in Apple and have special mobile device security training.
So I would like if someone from Apple who actually knows this stuff can give an official answer.

1. Is there any known effort mobile network company to get to share blocked IMEI number internationally or at least in Developed Countries?

GUID Questions:
2. Are the GUID and IMEI separate numbers ore the same number?
(If they are the same the following GUID questions should be apply to the IMEI)
3. Can the GUID in the phone be changed?
4. When a point is assigned to a Apple/iTunes account is the GUID attached to the account as well?
This would mean:
A phone even after wiping could not be attached to a new Apple Cloud account. As Apple Cloud would know which account the phone really belonged to), (To move the device off the account the to a new account a user would need to log on to Apple Cloud and Remove the device form the account).
A phone even after wiping, the phone would still be attached to the account in the Apple Cloud. The (thief or receiver) new account used the phone could not be reload with music, software etc. Unless the new user known the Apple Cloud user name and password of the original owner. Which if the phone was wiped remotely would not be a problem.
Even wiped phones could be tracked, if Find My Phone was on by default and could not be switch off, until the phone was logged into the Apple Cloud. Which could not be done as described above. If a phone is new it’s GUID would not be registered under an account with Apple Cloud thus. Apple Cloud could be set to not track phones, where the GUID is not registered to an account and switch Find My Phone function on the phone in this case.
A block option could be added to Apple Cloud to stop phones from using the Apple Cloud. This when the phone goes missing it can be blocked.
Caveats
At present it appears that the phones GUID are not used in associating a phone to an account. The only reason for this I assume is so stolen phones can get assigned to a new Apple Cloud account and Apple can then sell more software, music etc. to the thief or receiver of the stolen phone.
The only issue is when a phone is sold second hand it would require the original owner to remove the phone from their Account, before the new owner could assign the phone to their Apple account
Phone Security:
There are occasional reports of security loop holes. This is important when it comes to stolen phones and data security.
As it the phones SIM is remove then it cannot connect to the Internet and any local WiFi can be secured to stop the stolen phone from connecting. Thus Find My Phone cannot locate or wipe the phone. So in this situation how safe is the data on the phone.
5. Which phone models and operating system versions have security loop holes that allow the Professional Thief’s to bypass the lock screen pass code is set?
It is safe to release this information, as updates are available to fix this issue. It just owners need know, if they are not able to update their phones regular if they are venerable.
4.1 If venerability exists, what is accessible once by passed (Change Pass Code, Contact, SMS, Phone, Phone Answers, Notes, Most Apps, All Apps)
Jail Braking:
This is important when it comes to stolen phones and data security.

Thanks for the question. From your description, it sounds like various Account Settings have been greyed out in your Settings application (iCloud, Facebook, Twitter). The cause for these being greyed out is a restriction setup on your iPhone. You'll probably see that Restrictions are turned "On" in Settings > General.
You'll want to disable the restriction "Allow Changes: Accounts". For more information on restrictions, see this article:

I dont have any contact detail of that person whom i had bought this phone..If you are trying to activate an iPad or iPhone and it is asking for a previous owners Apple ID and password, you have encountered the Activation Lock. This is a security feature that prevents thieves from setting up and using a stolen or lost iPad or iPhone. You have no alternative. You must contact the previous owner to get permission to use the device. If you cannot contact the previous owner return the device to where you bought it and get a refund. You will never be able to activate the device and no one can help you do it.

Not through iCloud you did not - that has never been possible. When using iCloud (either the find my iPhone app or online in a web browser) you can ONLY track the devices using the same iCloud account as the one you logged in with. And the new security features in iOS 7 related to iCloud are specifically linked to that iCloud accounts AppleID and password, so allowing sharing would ruin the security model.

my icloud account on my new iphone does not match the user ID for itunes as it is an old apple ID. There is no password for this ID so I cant change it and it wont let me change the apple ID. Any help?
To change to iCloud ID on your phone you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID then sign in with the new ID. If you don't know the password for the old ID, and if the old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

My old Apple ID is on my iPhone, but this has been transferred to a new Apple ID. The iCloud on my phone is requesting the password for the old Apple ID, but this no longer exists. Pardon my ignorance. I have scoured the forums and no one seem to touch on the exact subject I am talking about.
I can't seem to update iCloud's calendar via my iPhone's calendar with all connectivity turned on (sync,push,pull,slap whatsoever).
Also, iCal on Mac follows iCloud (sluggishly and not due to connection problem, so i'd nice to have a status bar telling me whether or not it's active and doing some updating) so when I sync iPhone to Mac it becomes a even more confusing situation...

-When iphone is synced with ical on mac and changes are made on Mac, changes are not immediately reflected on iphone unless clicked "sync"

Iphone seemed to have a "push" or "sync in this many minutes" option for iCal, but that seemed like it's only receiving changes, and not send out changes made via phone. Very confusing, very annoying!Download iTunes using the tab at the top of this page. Then run the update with iTunes closed.

I have two iphones with different phone numbers that I use. I have one of them set up on icloud now, but do not know how to set up my second device on icloud. Both of my iphones use my same Apple ID for purchases, etc. Is there a simple way to add a device to my icloud account? Thank you in advance for any help someone may be able to give me.
To move one of the phones to a different iCloud account (if that's what you want to do), go to Settings>iCloud and turn all synced data to Off. When prompted, choose to keep the data on your iPhone. After everything is off, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. This will delete the account from the phone but not from iCloud so the other phone will not be effected. Then set up a new iCloud account with a different Apple ID and turn iCloud syncing in Settings>iCloud back to On. When prompted, choose Merge. This will upload the data to the new iCloud account.
You will then have to go to icloud.com and sign into each iCloud account separately and delete any unwanted data that you don't want on the phone syncing with each account. -

Now, to use the find my iphone feature, i need to change her iCloud account user name to be the same as mine. How do I change that?
You dont need to change the iCloud account to use that feature, when you use find my iPhone all you would need to do is sign into her iCloud account to locate her iPhone.
If you want to change the account used on the iPhone for iCloud then go to settings>icloud and select the option at th bottom that says "delete account" then select "keep on my iphone". After that you then sign in with your iCloud account.
