Icloud registration in Ipad mini

I recently purchased an Ipad mini and have solved all the issues with signing in, Itunes match, but I am not able to sign into Icloud on the mini I always receive the message veryfication timed out, my Apple ID and paswword work for vrything else, I have also tried rebooting the mini, signing out of Itunes and signing in again, but noithing helps with signing into Icloud. Any suggestions please would be very welcome.

You need to be using the same icloud account on both devices if you want your data synced between them.

It's very possible that you did just as you suspect. One of the later Note file over wrote the one stored on your iPad when you synced.
When one does a sync of their iPad a backup of the iPad is created first. If that backup was still available you might be able to find the Note file there. But more than likely, if you are letting the iPad and iPhones sync on their own over Wi-Fi you have over written that back up as well.

I have a macbook pro, iphone 5 and a ipad mini. I would like to know how do I disable the icloud settings on only my ipad mini? Basically, I do not want icloud Active on the ipad mini.. I only want it active only on my macbook pro and on my iphone 5.

Meaning, that in the future when I do go to make it active on the ipad mini..... Just go to the icloud tab and just sign into it on the ipad mini and it will make it active again...

Frozen icloud log-in ipad mini

I have a frozen iPad mini as in the question below, except I am getting a sign-into-icloud pop-up. I have tried both shutting down with the slider and the reset solution given below (as well as entering my password and hitting cancel), but the sign-in message continues to pop up

I went to use my ipad and noticed that there was the log on box for face time. I clicked cancel and nothing happened. The screen went dark and I clicked on the button and it relit but the long on box was still there. I tried to turn off but it would get to the part where you slide to power off but wouldn't slide when I tried ....and the facetime log on was still there. How can I get this to work again?

Try a reset. Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the red slider.

Do you really need to update now, you can't wait until April ? If you try to update via a computer that isn't the one that you normally sync to and which therefore doesn't have all your content on, then you risk losing all your current content from the iPad

Restored my iCloud backup for ipad mini and ios automatically updated...

...is there anything that can't be done? One good thing about having to replace my ipad months ago was not having to update to ios 7. I really hurts my eyes, it messes with my app data, and the design of ios 6 is just way better.

This is a nightmare. Icloud should not automatically update. Now a bunch of my apps aren't working. This is horrible.

Solved it. Here's how I did it:
Installed the latest EFI update (2.6) for my laptop.
Restarted into Windows, uninstalled current Intel drivers (those included in BootCamp).
Booted into Safe Mode & downloaded the latest Intel drivers for HD4000 directly from Intel.
Restarted and voila! Processor clock speed idles at 800MHz and scales up to 2.7GHz under load, but thermal issues no longer arise. 48ºC on idle!

Thanks for your response. Yes, I do see the icon in Settings>iCloud but I was certain I had an icon on one of the pages.
I was told there was a way of accessing iCloud from the iPad Mini to manage such things as catagories in Contacts and I was hoping to make some improvements.
I find the contacts application on iPad is particularly poor and wanted to create catagories. Just as well I have Outlook on my PC.

To enable iCloud functionality go to Settings > iCloud.

My ICloud account is registered with an old email address and password. I do not remember the password to my ICloud account, and ID address that my ICloud account is registered under is an old email adress which is deleted right now (the old mail account is deleted). I don’t have a rescue email adress and I don’t know the answers to the security questions, so I have no way of changing the ICloud password. Welcome to the Apple community.
If you are unable to remember your password, security questions, don’t have access to your rescue address or are unable to reset your password for whatever reason, your only option is to contact Apple ID Support, upon speaking to an operator you should explain that your problem is related to your Apple ID, this way you will not be charged for assistance, even if you don’t have an AppleCare plan.
The operator will take you through some steps you may have already tried, however they need to be sure they have exhausted all usual approaches before trying to reset your account, so you should try to be helpful and show patience with the procedure.
The operator will need to verify they are speaking to the account holder and may ask you some questions that only the account holder could know, and you will need to answer them if the process is to proceed.
Once the operator has verified your identity they will send a message through to your device which contains an alpha numeric code, which you will need to read back to them.
Once this has been completed they will send an email to your iCloud email address after a period of 24 hours, so you should check that mail is enabled in your devices iCloud settings.
Upon receipt of the email, use the reset link provided to reset your password, after which you should be able to make the adjustments to iCloud that you wish to do.
