ICloud says I need 4.8GB but settings says I have 7.6GB available
Over the past couple of weeks I've been getting pop-up notifications from iCloud that I need to upgrade my account because I don't have enough space. I went to Settings > iCloud > Storage > Manage Storage and get two contradictory messages:
- At the top of the screen, it says: "LAST BACKUP FAILED. An additional 4.8 GB of storage is required."
- At the bottom of the screen, it says: "7.6 GB available of 20 GB on iCloud."
Doesn't this seem contradictory?
Hello djdusty,
Thanks for participating in the Apple Support Communities.
It looks like you have updated your payment method for the iTunes Store, so you can add a child to your Family Sharing account, but this change hasn't been recognized.
If you continue to receive the "Credit Card Required" message, first try editing your payment information again, using the steps found here:
Change or remove your payment information from your iTunes Store account (Apple ID) - Apple Support
Double check the information on file and re-enter the credit card verification (CVV) code if necessary, as mentioned in this step:
If you change your payment method, make sure your account information matches the credit card information on file with your financial institution.
If your new payment method is still not recognized, the article suggests reaching out to iTunes Store Support for more help:
If you need help changing your payment information, credit card details, or billing information, contact iTunes Store support.
All the best,
Jeremy

Icloud says I have multiple versions of outlook but can only find 1
icloud says I have multiple versions of outlook but I can only find 2013.
Did you have a previous version of Outlook on your machine?

Am trying to connect my icloud to my outlook account. Icloud says I have two versions of Outlook running. I installed Outlook 2013 but Outlook 2010 is a trial version and I can't seem to be able to delete it without deleting all of Windows Office 2010
You will have to remove one of the two versions, which one is your choice.

I keep getting the message You need a newer version of Pages to open this document. but I don't have an update available in app world. I did the update but it doesn't seem to be registering on my macbook pro. Now I can't open any of my documents as I keep getting this message. Now what???
You have 2 versions of Pages on your Mac.
Pages 5 is in your Applications folder.
Pages '09/'08 is in your Applications/iWork folder.
You are alternately opening the wrong versions.
Pages '09/'08 can not open Pages 5 files and you will get the warning that you need a newer version.
Pages 5 can open Pages '09 files but may damage/alter them. It can not open Pages '08 files at all.
Once opened and saved in Pages 5 the Pages '09 files can not be opened in Pages '09.
Anything that is saved to iCloud is also converted to Pages 5 files.
All Pages files no matter what version and incompatibility have the same extension .pages.
Pages 5 files are now only compatible with themselves on a very restricted set of hardware, software and Operating Systems and will not transfer correctly on any other server software than iCloud.
Note: Apple has removed over 100 features from Pages 5 and added many bugs:

Archive/trash Pages 5, after exporting all Pages 5 files to Pages '09 or Word .docx, and rate/review it in the App Store, then get back to work.

Why does iCloud say I have no storage?
iCloud says I have no storage
It says that my next backup size is 7.3 GB, but I have no idea why, because the only thing selected is the Find iPhone app, which takes up 0.2 KB...How do I get rid of whatever it THINKS it's backing up?

my ipod needs an update but i don't have internet service on my computer i was wondering is it posible to send the update to the email to update the ipod system through Wi-Fi?
If your iPod touch is already running iOS 5 then you should be able to upgrade to iOS 5.0.1 on the device with a Wi-Fi connection.

I have an ipod touch 2g 8gb but now its hd is only 6gb
I have an ipod touch 2g 8gb but now its hd is only 6gb
Why it happened? This is correct. It is nothing new or unusual. It is the way memory is reported.
Also the operating system uses up some of the memory as well.

I want to get Madden NFL 12 at the app store. The app size is 303 MB. When i try to buy it it says thier is not enough space to download it, but when i go to settings it says thier is 579 MB available Space left.
To download an install an app requires free space that is between two and three times the download file size. You ned to free up more storage space.

Hi I have upgraded my gobs on my iPad to 25 gb and it says I have 20.2 gb available but it won't allow me to download a movie why is that? And can anyone help please?
Welcome to Apple Support Communities
You have upgraded iCloud storage, but what you need is free space on the iPad storage to download the movie, so open Settings > General > Use, and remove things from your iPad until you have enough storage to download the movie.
Respecting to iCloud, you can get a refund if you contact with Apple > http://www.apple.com/support/icloud/contact It is a common mistake by users -
How can I be out of application memory? What can I do to fix this? TIA
Ok, I think we have been talking past each other or not really understanding what each other is talking about.
When you say you have 8 GB installed and 5.93 GB free, you must be referring to the memory, and I was interpreting this as hard drive storage space.
My copy of TT (Premier) says it needs 1 GB memory and 360 MB storage space...so yours should be similar depending the edition you are using.
The hard drive storage space should not be an issue unless you have your hard drive completely full so we will ignore that.
Now TT wants to see 1 GB of memory available, but for some reason is not recognizing the 5.93 GB you report as available. So, go to Finder > Applications > Utilities (may be Other on some systems) > Activity Monitor and double click to open. Click the button top center of the window for memory and see what the numbers are in the lower portion of the window. The Wired, Active and Inactive should add up to the Used amount. Which then leaves the Free number (mine says 5.85 GB at the moment) using only Safari and Activity Monitor and the Mac OS X stuff.
Keep Activity Monitor open and reinsert the TT DVD and try to install, since that is what you said was not working. As a sanity check: do you have Mac OS X 10.6.8 as your equipment says you have? TT has to see at least that Mac OS X version. -
ITunes says I have a download available but wont download
I tried to rent a movie from my iPhone last night and it couldnt download it do to not enough space. So I went to my PC and on iTunes it shows that it took my money for the rental and says there is a download available. I click the button to download it and nothing happens. If I cant watch it I dont want to be charged for it.
Nothing to worry about.
Just deauthorize it a few times, then reauthorize.

I plugged my iphone 4s into my mac to sync it and it wouldnt allow me to do so and says I have no more gb available, but again I have nothing on my phone and have barely anything synced. More than 80% is filled with documents and data???
If Other (the yellow bar) is too big something is corrupted. The only solution (that I know of) is to restore from your most recent backup using iTunes (see http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1766).

I have plenty of storage space on iCloud, but whenever I try to download songs from iTunes a popup says my storage space is full. Any help please?
The storage space you have on your phone and the storage space you have available in your iCloud account are not the same thing. You need to remove some items from your phone, if you are to free up space to download items from iTunes.

I have been trying to download films on my I Pad but receive a message saying insuficient storage space, update. I updated a d paíd for extra space but still receive same message and cannot download the films. Any suggestionx
The message is referring to not having enough space on your iPad, not to not having enough space in your iCloud account. Purchasing additional storage in your iCloud account does not give you more available space on your iPad.
You can check how much space you have available on your iPad by going to Settings>General>Usage. If you don't have enough, you'll have to delete or sync some data off your iPad to free up additional space. -
Hi. My icloud storage says I am using 2.5GB for email. I would happily delete all the emails, but very few show up to be deleted. How do I delete all emails on the account (that appear to be hiding in the background somewhere). Thanks
Hi, thank you, but this is where I go to delete all emails (done) but my icloud storage data still claims I am using 2.5GB under the email category. Is there a 'reset' option to clear icloud usage? Thanks
