ICloud Sent Folder

I "sent" 3 large emails yesterday, but do not see them in my "sent" folder ~ short of calling the individuals, is there some way I can confirm it they were received/sent? They are resumes ~ please help!

If they were my resumes, I would be calling to check on them. I would worry about the mail problems later.

  • Messages sent on device do not show up on Mac in ICloud Sent folder - Why?

When I send a message on my IPad, it shows up on the Cloud, but does not appear in my Sent folder in Mail on my Mac ICloud mail account

Joelrsny had the much easier fix:
For Sent folder not showing on the iPhone.
ALL of these ways work to add a Gmail account to the iPhone. Its not how you add it, its the settings in Gmail causing these folders not to appear.
Do not add the account to the iPhone first. Go to Gmail.com in a browser, log in to your email account and hit settings at the top right.... Select the Labels Tab at the top. On the right, you will see check boxes. Check all the folders you want to appear in imap accounts. Once you check them, go and add the account by just picking add Gmail account on your iphone settings for mail. ALL the folders you checked will appear...
    Done!

  • Duplicate emails in iCloud sent folder

I'm having an issue that when I send email from my icloud.com account, I'm ending up with duplicates in the "sent" folder.  There have been some other threads on this, but I'm not seeing any answers.   Does anyone else have this problem?   Apple, if you see this, please advise.
I'm running a PC and generally use Firefox.

OK, so others are having this problem.  Hopefully if there are Apple techs scanning these forums something will be done about it.   Here are a couple of other threads which I've posted on:
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/22382205#22382205
    https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5146256?start=0&tstart=0
It does not seem to happen on my iPhone, and it does not happen every single time on my PC, but it happens most times.   The person the email is being sent to does not receive two emails, they only receive one.   It seems to be just the senders folder that is affected.
I also visited the Apple Store.  The young man who helped me was very nice and competent, but he too was thrown for a loop and had never encountered this issue before.

  • Gmail mail in iCloud sent folder

Hi, I just set up my mail on my new mac but for some reason all my Gmail sent mail is also in my iCloud sent mail folder, its also like this when I acess my mail through the iCloud website, how do I fix this ?
    - thanks

At a guess you have configured the Mail app so that GMail uses the iCloud outgoing server, check your smtp settings in Mail.

  • ICloud "sent" folder problem on iPhone 5

I have set up an icloud mail on iphone5, same account as in mac.
My mac doesnt have any problem to show all the "sent" mail, not even in the icloud.com, all the mails on "sent" folder are all shown.
BUT on my iPhone, it doesnt show all, some of them are missed on the list, but when I make a search, the email is there.
I have restored, erased the whole phone, set up a new phone, but it doesnt work.

What is the message, if any, you're reiciving during the backup? How much content are you trying to backup? Just because you have 4GB of icloud storage doesn't mean that your not exceding that with your attempted backup.

  • Email sent from an icloud alias not saved in sent folder

I have a couple aliases set up for my primary icloud email account.
When I send a message from my "primary" email address (using the pull-down list to select the "From:" address) a copy of the message appears in the Sent folder. However, if I select one of the aliases as the "From:" address, the message is delivered to the recipient but does NOT show up in the Sent folder. Anyone know why?

The "recall" feature is not a feature of Outlook. It is a feature of Microsoft's proprietary Exchange system, and it only works if you and the recipient are both using Exchange Server email accounts.
    http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook-help/how-message-recall-works-HA001091 760.aspx
iCloud does not use Microsoft Exchange - it uses the industry standard IMAP protocol for email.

  • Icloud sent messages on device not saved in sent folder

My icloud email is set up as an IMAP account on my Android phone and Windows computer (using EmClient).  Sent messages are not being saved to the sent folder.  I tried a message online in icloud and on my ipdad mini and there was no problem there with saving my sent message in the sent folder.  How can I fix this?

This is a long shot, but Apple is going to start requiring you to set up app-specific passwords in order to allow third-party apps to access data from your iCloud account.  This is outlined in this document: Using app-specific passwords.  This isn't supposed to be implemented until October, but maybe changes are already taking place behind the scenes in the way third-party apps sync with iCloud that is causing them to "misbehave".
Ask EmClient support if they are hearing from there customers that they can no longer sync with iCloud, and if is, if it is because of this new policy.   If so, you may need to just put up with it until Oct. 1st. when you can generate a password for these apps.

  • TS4003 Now have iCloud mail. But the 'Sent' folder messages (only) did not transfer from MobileMe Mail

Now have iCloud mail. But the 'Sent' folder messages (only) did not transfer from MobileMe Mail.

Your first theory may be correct.
If you haven't already, change your password on your .mac account. That will stop any further action by the other fellow. Even if you can't tease out the detail of what happened exactly, you can at least fix the problem with the password change.
Also if you left on good terms, contact the new owner of the workMac and ask if s/he used your .mac account.

  • Exchange – Emails in sent folder have no sender information in header

    Hey Everybody,
when I send emails with my exchange account in mail.app the copy of the email that is stored in the sent folder is missing the sender information in its header. The "from" column is empty, however, it should say my name there.
Pretty annoying because I use smart folders to organize my mails that depend on the sender information in the header. The only workaround I found so far is using imap in mail.app instead of exchange – but that's not a really satisfying solution.
I only have this problem when using mail.app with exchange. When I use the outlook.com web interface to send emails they are shown correctly in the sent folder in mail.app. Same goes for sending mails via exchange from my iPhone. My MobileMe account also works perfectly in mail.app. For the receiver there is no problem either - my name is correclty displayed as the sender.
Is anybody else having that problem or knows or solution?

Open Apple Contacts and verify your contact as "My Card". Microsoft calls this card "This is me". It's not stored on Exchange but in the local Outlook Address Book. I don't use Exchange  so not sure if Apple will let you select your contact on Exchange contacts. You might need to select the local or iCloud contact.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH11582
Once you set "My Card", check to see if the issue is fixed.
    If you still have issues.....
Let's eliminate issues in your User's folder by testing in a new User.
    CREATE A NEW USER
Go to System Preferences --> Create a New User in Accounts. Switch to the New User by logging out/in or use Fast User Switching.
Add your Exchange account to Mail.
Do you still see the issue?
If yes, then the problem is with your base files.
If no, then the problem is in your User's folder.
Option to repair Mail in your User's folder:
Go to your User's Library folder. (if you don't know how to find, see this link.)
    Scroll to Mail folder.
Select the V2 > MailData folder.
Delete any files in MailData with envelope in the name. (should be 3)
You can test Mail after deleting envelope files. When you open Mail it will re-index your files.
    If you still have problems....
Go to Containers in the User's Library folder.
    Delete the com.apple.mail folder.
Go to Preferences in the User's Library folder.
If you find any com.apple.mail.plist files, delete these.
Log out under the Apple in the Menu bar
    Log in
    Open Mail.

  • Why my sent emails do not appear in Sent Folder?

why my sent emails do not appear in Sent Folder?

Are you using the Mail Ap which is apart of the Mac OS?
Are you using an Email linked to the Mail AP, I.E. Gmail, Yahoo?
I have noticed this issue with my Yahoo Account. Certain sent items will only be viewable on the device I sent the Email on. When I log in to my email from my Web Browser all sent mail is there. This is as far I know... I think there is something with Icloud in my suspicion will resolve this.

  • Why Gmail sent from my iPhone not appearing in iMac's Sent folder?

    Hi guys,
Some time after installing iCloud - possibly the same day, I sent a message from my iPhone 3G to multiple recipients.
    a) No one got it, b) my message appears as Sent in iPhone and in Gmail (on their site), and on my iMac's Gmail/Sent folder, but not in the iMac's Mail/Sent folder - which is the one I always check.
I have 2 questions: 1. how come a message appearing as Sent on Gmail's own site isn't received (there were 4 recipients) and, 2. why does it appear as Sent in some but not all Sent folders?
Would iCloud have anything to do with it?
I just sent a test message to myself from my iPhone. I got the message both on the iPhone AND iMac, but again the message does not appear in the iMac's/Mail Sent folder. Bizarre?
PS   All my software is up to date, regardless of what my profile says.
    Thanks a lot,
    Raphael

Please ignore the above .  I have discovered what I did wrong - but don't know how to delete the question!
    Sorry

  • Sent folder not working consistently

Last night, I sent an e-mail containing attachments from my iCloud account using Apple Mail on my Mac. The message got sent and it got saved to my Mac's sent folder.  I also sent a few other e-mails, and they also got sent and saved in my sent folder.
Today, when I went to check my sent folder on my iPhone and on iCloud.com, all my sent messages were there except for the one I was looking for, which had the attachments.
I have had this happen several times before - where random sent messages do not get saved to the Sent folder on iCloud.com or to my other devices.  Can someone help me resolve this issue? It is really frustrating when I can't find critical e-mails that I have sent because they don't appear in my sent folder.
    Thanks,
    N

    Hi Guys
There is a way to fix this fully.
I wrecked my brains for a while and even switched to Outlook as I managed to get that to work.
Then I hit on the way yo make the Apple Mail application work as well.
The above comments are right you will find different folders in Mail that are used for saving your sent e-mails, and these will be different between what you see on your IMAP web mail when you log in via a browser / iPad / using Mail. (I am connecting to Yahoo mail)
Easy solution. In the Mail application on your MacBook, select the folder called "Sent" in your IMAP / Yahoo mailbox area (I no longer have it there in example below), then got to:
Mailbox > Use This Mailbox For > Sent
....and hey presto that will set it to be the same mailbox as in your web IMAP account / iPad / iPhone
Hopefully this will save you wasting a whole day on this......which is what I did
    All the best
    Rory

  • Email sent but not found in the Sent folder

I just sent an email with Mail on my new Mavericks OS, I heard the "sent" sound, yet the email is not visible in the "Sent" folder and no error is displayed.
Where is it? Has it really been sent? 15 minutes have passed now, but it is still not visible and I'm still online and connected to internet.
I believe something similar might have happened to me already in the past.
    Thanks.

The email was sent from my mac.com account and it is not visible also when I access the Sent folder on iCloud.

  • Mail Sending One, but leaves 2 in the Sent folder

Mail is leaving duplicates in my "Sent" folder when I send anything, even though it only sends one email. I've tried to correct the problem by following the procedure posted below, but it didn't solve the problem.
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=6668989&#6668989

The email was sent from my mac.com account and it is not visible also when I access the Sent folder on iCloud.

  • Why won't emails I send go into my Sent folder?

I would appreciate some help figuring out the following issue:
I am registered in iCloud. On an older Mac, I am accessing iCloud via Safari. After logging into iCloud, I see the icons for my Mail, Contacts, Calendar, FMiP and iWork. Mail, Contacts and Calendar seem to be syncing okay between my older Mac (accessing iCloud via browser) and my iPhone - except the following:
When I send an email (or reply to an inbox email) from my older Mac (iCloud via browser) the email IS sent. However, the email I sent does NOT automatically appear in my Sent folder - either in iCloud via browser or on my iPhone Mail application. This is the problem - namely, sent emails sent using iCloud via browser do not show in the Sent folder.
As additional information, when I send a new email or reply to an old email USING MY IPHONE MAIL APPLICATION, the message DOES appear in the Sent folder on both my older Mac (accessing iCloud via Browser) and my iPhone.  This works fine, but the reverse procedure does not.
Why won't messages sent from my iCloud via Browser appear in the Sent folder?  Is there a bug in the Apple software?
    Thank you,
    Dale

Do you have "Save sent messages in:" checked in Preference > General on icloud.com, and are you looking in the mailbox set in that option?
