ICloud server to responding
I keep getting the mthis message when trying to go back to my mac. Has anyone else had this and how did it get resolved?
Thanks
I posted in a couple other threads about this issue. Hope this helps.
I was having the same problem but found a solution that worked for me.
1. From the iCloud System Preferences pane, uncheck the Back to My Mac checkbox to turn it off.
2. Open the Keychain Access app (in Applications/Utilities).
3. Click the "System" keychain (You'll see keychains near the upper left of the app window).
4. Make sure "All Items" is selected in the "Category" box below.
5. In the results showing to the right, look for any key whose "Kind" is "Back to My Mac key."
6. Delete the key(s), authenticating with your password to do so.
7. Back in the iCloud System Preferences pane, re-check the Back to My Mac box.
At this point, Back to My Mac started and the "server not responding" message did not appear.
I'd tried unchecking and re-checking several times before to no avail. I hope it works for everyone.
Maybe the keys we had were tied to MobileMe and became invalid when MobileMe shut down?

Hi, after having worked fine for long time, after a vacation this July "access to my mac" doesn't work any longer on my MacPro: saying that "iCloud-server is not responding".
At the same time, iMessage (but NOT the other iCloud-linked services) stopped working, demanding a new login at the start, but without succeeding in re-login and re-registering.
But this problem appears only with my MacPro (2008), not on my MBP (2013), my iPad 2 and my iPhone 5 when used in the same Wifi Network (home). So, I don't think that the problem is with the router settings (upnp allowed). All iCloud services work fine on the other three devices.
Anyone having the same problem lately?
Anyone having a solution for this?
Thanks in advance and best greetings.I have found the solution for all of you interested: after I had have installed a new logic board, my Apple Reseller has forgotten to re-serialize my Mac Pro about 2 years ago. Only now, this had consequences - see my question above. The solution was "easy"...: I asked my Apple Reseller to re-serialize (= re-introduce the old/first serial number written on back of device) - and there we go: iCloud-server responding normally and so do. Back to my Mac ("Zugang zu meinem Mac"), iMessages and FaceTime which were down lately, probably due to some silent change Apple has introduced lately...

Icloud server stopped responding
I am using Outlook 2007 and windows 7. The icloud sync is working between my iphone and ipad, but not with outlook on my pc. It has worked for months and then just quit. When I try to go into icloud and "recheck" the calendar and task items I get an error message that says the "icloud server has stopped responding:
I'm getting the same problem. iCloud wasn't working (which happens every couple weeks) so I uninstalled and then reinstalled it which always worked until now. Now during setup I ge the iCloud server has stopped working message. I have tried everything...rebooting, re-installing, etc. Nothing works

HT204053 Message: iCloud Server not Responding... How do I correct?
All of a suddent my MacBook Air cannot connect to the iCloud Server. I've reset my AppleID account, established a new password. I can sign in to my account. I can use iTunes and other features from my AppleID, but I no longer see the iCloud Server.
An Apple ID can be used two different ways, as the ID for iTunes Store purchases and or iCloud. They can each use different IDs or the same one.
You say you can't sign into your account, which account? iTunes Store or iCloud? You say you can use iTunes and other features (what are they?), is this with the new password? Are you still using the old password for the iCloud account? Is it a different account than iTunes? -

Trying to set up contacts on Windows7 PC. Get error message that "setup cannot start because iCloud server has stopped responding. How can I fix this?
Looks like itunes was still trying to communicate with my iphone and got confused when it couldnt find it. Found this in another post and it worked great.
Solution:
Make sure you are not connected to the internet and then open itunes. Sync your phone and then enable the internet again. Then stay connected to the internet and close your itunes and reopen it. Bam problem solved.

I was having problem with my Back to my Mac as message was saying DNS Server not responding . I tried to turn my WIFI off, then my router to no avail. Decided to call Apple Support line in the UK . I got a call back immediatly and great support. The advisor took over my screen and we check that my laptop was synchronising with I phots and it was. The adviser also told that when the message DNS server is not responding next to Back to my Mac is has to do with Apple Server not mine , router etc... Hope this save others some time! Rather than spending time truining on and off changing IP address etc...
Thanks for your thorough post. I too need to use BTMM on almost a daily basis for my job, and it has fallen short countlness times. I too have taken great pains to check all of the typical trouble shooting steps within iCloud and in the Apple keychain on each Mac etc, but after the latest rounds of system updates from Apple a few weeks ago to Mountain Lion, BTMM on one of my Macs is completely broken and unusable. I would concur that if you need remote access for "real" mission critical use, just bite the bullet and pay for a service like LogMeIn. You won't regret it and you will get real software support.

When emailing from iPhoto I keep on getting 'server not responded' message.
Would anyone be able to help with the issue I have with iPhoto. Every time I try to email photos directly from iPhoto I get this message 'server not responded'. I have the lates Mountain Lion OSX installed on MBA. Also, in addition to iCloud account I tried to add two more email accounts to iPhoto hoping that this might solve the problem, but it didn't. Would anyone have any ideas what I might be doing wrong?
Thank you.Marius,
set the mailer in the iPhoto Preferences to "Mail.app", not to "iPhoto"
iPhoto > Preferences > General
Email Photos using: Mail
This way you will be able to mail your photos directly from iPhoto, but you cannot use the iPhoto cards; use the Mail Photo stationary instead, once the mail panel opens.
For some reason mailing using iPhoto as Mailer works for me only, if I am mailing from my iCloud accoun,t and if Mail is set to use the iCloud account by default.

Problem with premiere and encore export, Adobe QT32 Server (Not Responding)
I could help.
When exporting to Encore or Premiere, the program block.
In the Activity Monitor shows me these two errors:
Adobe QT32 Server (Not Responding)
PPro Headless (Not Responding)
Technical Specifications:
MAC OS X 10.9.5
Adobe Suite CS6
graphics card: AJA KONA LHi
Can you help me please
Thank YouHave you checked out this post from Adobe? I know it says for After Effects but it definitely applies to Premiere too. We have some AJA cards whose components in /library/QuickTime were causing similar Adobe QT32 server hangups; removing them solved our issue but also broke compatibility with older apps like FCP 7.

Safari fails to open pages - "server not responding"
Hello all. I just got my new MacBook a few days ago. This is my first Mac and I love it! Safari was working perfectly until yesterday. When I try to open any webpage, it says that Safari "failed to open page because the server stopped responding". Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!Hello BlueOrca,
Have you tried Safari in an other user account if not do so please.
System pref. ->Accounts -> Login Options [+] to create one. Log out of yours & into that one. This help to pinpoint if this issue is systemic or user specific

Which Router do you USE, Does it have a Firewall ?
Can you find it here ? Do you know how to configure, do check the settings.

Do you have DNS # Values entered in the DNS # Field Box ?
If not enter them. Find your server here and the DNS # to enter

Configure IPv4: Do you use Using DHCP Lease ?
IPv6 address do you see one there? If not try setting
Configure IPv6: Is that set on Automatically, if not try that
• Proxy tab:
Do you have Proxies checked ? if you do try Deselecting it.
If AOL is a browser does it have settings that over ride Safaris ability to connect nI know nada about AOL, perhaps you could check its settings.
Let us know how you fare, okay?

Modifier Keys will not work in Apple applications
I am very puzzled by this problem. The shift, command, option , and caplock keys have no effect in any Apple program. They work fine in other applications like photoshop, illustrator, neo office, firefox and thunderbird. I reinstalled the tiger 10.4.
