Icloud settings shuts down

When I enter my apple-ID and password in the icloud settings the settings just shut down and i return to the home screen.. Anyone else who encountered this or have any ide what to do? I´ve restarted the iphone with no result.

Hey Davpin!
Sounds like your Settings app is crashing. Are you having trouble with other apps crashing? If so, you may need to restore your phone. If it is just Settings, and it happens occasionally, but not frequently, you can try restarting just Settings.
Double tap the Home Button to get into Multitasking mode
Press and hold an app icon until they wiggle.
Tap on the circled minus sign at the top left corner of the app icon. The app will close. It will NOT delete the app.
Tap on the Home Button.
Try opening Settings again.
If you continually are having problems with an app or two crashing, you could have firmware problems. The remedy for that is a restore. Back up your phone first as a restore erases all data and reinstalls fresh firmware. When your phone comes back up do NOT restore from a backup; set it up as a new phone. Plug into iTunes to get your data back.

  • How do I permanently shut off icloud from my macbook pro. Safari will not let me shut down

I have a macbook pro 2008 with operating system Maverick.  Today I was asked to join i cloud.  I do not want to join i cloud.  I just want to keep my computer as it is with the new operating system.  It seems I now joined I cloud and cannot shut down Safari unless i sign up for all of the uses of icloud.  Please advise me how to get out of all of this and just go back to my previous set up.  What can I do to get rid of ICloud and shut down my computer (Safari)?

You can shut off iCloud in System Preferences.
If Safari seems hung, click the Apple icon, then Force Quit. If it says Not Responding next to Safari force quit it.

  • System preferences shuts down - iCloud and e-mail settings

When I try to look at my iCloud and e-mail/contacts/calendar settings system preferences "goes mad" and finally shuts down and report is sent to Apple. "Goes mad" = starts using ALL of my memory (8GB), fans full blast. If I just open system p... and work as I usually do on the computer 75% of the 8Gb is not in use = green.
icloud, e-mail, contacts and calendar works fine, its just the settings I can't get to.
    Help anyone! Thanks

As far as I know, the things you can do with a RAW file are pretty much limited to processing it with photo editing software. You could use iPhoto and save it as a jpg file.

  • Trying to start iCloud on iPad and app shuts down

I just finished installing ios5 on iPad and I launched the ICloud section in Settings.  After entering Apple ID and password, the app shuts down.  Any ideas on the solution to this problem.
    Thanks

Restart the iPad and then try again.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
If that doesn't work, quit Settings and all other apps, restart and try again.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. • HT204053 I started using iCloud on all my Apple products before MobileMe shut down, setting up a new ID and password to do that.  When MobileMe moved to iCloud, it became my primary account for iCloud and is interfering with everything I had done before.

I started using iCloud on all my Apple products, using a new password and ID, before MobileMe shut down.  Apparently I shouldn't have done that, because when MobileMe moved to iCloud, it automatically became my primary account and took over everything I had previously set up on my iCloud account.  I would like to eliminate the MobileMe account, but I can't find a way to do it.  Anyone have any experience with this?  It's making me very frustrated with iCloud.

The primary account is the one signed into in System Preferences>iCloud (or on an iPhone Settings>iCloud). If it isn't the account you want to use, simply sign out and the sign back in with the required account. On signing out your data will be removed from your Mac but not from the iCloud server.
If you want to you can sign in with the other account in System Preferences>Mail, Contacts & Calendars - you can sync that account's email, contacts and calendars and they will appear alongside the equivalent data in the primary account.
The main differences are that the secondary account's email will not be 'pushed' but will be checked periodically, and the secondary account cannot use PhotoStream.

  • I have been shut down from my previous email address as I left my company's email system, I am now on gmail and have changed my Apple Id and password successfully unfortunately I dont understand what I need to do to change my ICloud, IFace etc...ID?

I have bene shut down from my previous Apple email ID as i left my company email' server. I have move to gmail and have successfully reset my Apple ID accordingly. My iCloud, IFace etc...unfortunately pop up with the previous email address and I dont remember the password, so I cant get in and change it to gmail! Anyone out there knows what to do, i would be very grateful, thanks. M

First thing to try is just to sign out on all your devices. If you can do that you can just sign in with the new ID. However if you've set up 'Find My iPhone' you won't be able to.
In that event go to http://iforgot.apple.com and sign in with your iCloud login. A new password will be sent to your associated email address. If this doesn't work you will have to contact Support. Go to https://getsupport.apple.com . Click' See all products and services', then 'More Products and Services, then 'Apple ID', then 'Other Apple ID Topics' then 'Lost or forgotten Apple ID password'. If you have any problems with that try this form: https://www.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html

  • I have just downloaded the latest update for Pages on my iPad and now it can no longer open up documents in iCloud and then just shuts down. What The.

i have just downloaded the latest update for Pages on my iPad and now it can no longer open up documents in iCloud and then just shuts down. What The.

Before the reset quit Pages like this:
Double click the Home button to show the screen with running and recently used apps. Each app icon will have a sample page above it. Flick up on the page (not the app icon) and the page will fly away and the app icon will disappear. This quits that app.

First, try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore.  Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset.  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."

  • Reader X shuts down when trying to open more than one pdf, or when clicking certain categories in settings

Until a few weeks ago I have never had a problem opening more than one pdf at a time. Now Reader just shuts down when I try to do so. The same thing happens when I click on the yellow highlighted categories in settings. All the other categories open fine.
Appreciate the help of anyone who can help me solve this.

I guess you didn't know, but yes you can close more than one app at a time. You can close up to 3 apps at a time in the new IOS7 on the iPhone. Try opening at least 3 apps and then double click the main button to see what apps are opened. Then swipe to the left to see the three of them on your screen. Your not gonna see the ones on the side entirely but you can still put all three fingers on them, then simply swipe them up and it closes them up.
The thing is, when you have let say 10 apps open, and you start using this trick, some of them will stay open meaning you swiped them up to close them down but the bottom icon stays there. When you come back to your main IOS desktop and then go back to close the programs that you have opened, you can see that those apps are still opened. There is only like 2 or three out of all the 10 you had opened that stayed open, but none the less it's a bug in the system I presume.
You also asked about the icon at the bottom. When you are seeing what apps are opened, there is always a small icon at the bottom and on top you have a representation of what you were working on, and that is the part you swipe up. But often time the bottom icon will stay opened after swiping 2 or 3 of the apps to close them.

  • Is there a time limit for iCloud tabs from shut down devices?

    Hi,
I have had some tabs left open on my (shut down) office iMac that I wanted to check during holidays by using iCloud tabs. It all went fine the first week, but some days later all tabs from that iMac had disappeared. Back in office once I opened Safari the tabs showed up again as iCloud tabs on my mobile devices.
Is there a sort of time limit for tabs to stay in iCloud after having shut down the Mac from which they originate? Can I turn of this feature if I don’t want it?
    Regards,
    Tom

Anyone? OK, I imagine most people don’t shut down their Mac for more then one week or so or they don’t want to check out work related links opened at office during holidays... Or does this just happen to me?

  • Profile settings not saved when OS shuts down! :(

Hi guys! I'm a proud Mac convert but I'm having a little bit trouble with saving my profile settings. My Macbook was purchased in TX, my sister played with the settings for a while before it was shipped to me here in the Philippines. She just put it to sleep mode,so I shut it down, but when I tried to restart it, all the settings were set to the default - the desktop wallpaper, the dock size and magnification, my aliases, and even the library files I add to my ITunes I have to do all over again!
The files that I saved were not lost though, it seems to me that a new profile loads whenever I shut down the computer. I have verified that hunch when I saw multiple profile names under USERS (ComputerName1,ComputerName2, ComputerName3, ComputerName4, so forth and so on).
Is there something that I did wrong?
Macbook 2.0 GHz   Mac OS X (10.4.7)   Black Model

What you are calling "Profiles" are actually called "Users." And from reading your description more than one User has been setup on your MacBook. So it seems the issue is that you are logging into a user account other than the one you originally started using.
When you restart the MacBook does it automatically login to a user account or do you have have to type a password to login? If it is automatically logging in, then you need to determine which user account your sister was using when she sent it to you. Once you do that you can set the MacBook to automatically login to that account and ignore the others.
To set up automatic login go to System Prefs > Accounts and click Login Options. Click the "automatically log in as:" check box and choose the account from the pull down menu.
But before you do that you need to find out from your sister what usernames and passwords she applied to each user account. When you have that information you can login to each account and when you see your custom desktop you will know which account you were originally using and set that one for automatic login.

If you restored to factory settings/new iPod via iTunes (Not via Settings>General>Reset>Erase all Content and Setting) and still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem.
