ICloud sign in keeps popping up, can't use my phone?

I live in the USA but am currently in Canada on vacation. All of a sudden I keep getting a pop up on my iPhone 5 to sign into iCloud. When I type in my password it pops up a second later. It pops up so much I can't use my phone! I was getting the same thing for FaceTime but I managed to turn off my FaceTime. Please help, I've even tried to teletext my iCloudi but I can't!

Try resetting your phone (hold the power and home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo, then release). After it restarts, if you get the pop-up again, enter your password and see if it is accepted this time.

I was very annoyed before, but have resolved this issue without resorting to violence. In the interests of posterity, I'll post what I did here.
Basically, I got ready to wipe the device. I moved all the photos and videos off the device (iPod Touch 5) and downloaded the latest iTunes to a PC here. Then I connected the device to the iTunes PC (which had previously been used with the device.)
At this point, it was still asking me to log on on the iPod, and no Wi-Fi connection.
I then initiated a backup from iTunes to make sure we had all the installed apps and music etc. As the backup started, I clicked "cancel" on the login prompt, and lo and behold, the backup process stalled the iCloud thing for long enough for a Wi-Fi connection to be established. A few seconds later, the iCloud prompt came up again, and I was able to successfully log on.
After that, I deleted the iCloud account, and now everything is working fine.
Looks like I needed to get the device thinking about somethign else for long enough for the Wi-Fi to hook up.
Won't work for everyone, but worth a try, as it meant no resetting, no trips to the "genius" bar, and no stuffing around with restores.
Thanks for the ideas everyone, and happy to contribute my 2c back to the crowd.
Hope this is the last time I have anything to do with my daughter's iPod (or any other Apple support!)

Previous apple ID sign in keeps popping up on iPad

A few months ago, I changed my email address and changed my apple ID to the new address. Everything has running fine with no problems. I was trying to update a couple of apps the other night, and it requested my password ( which should have been my first clue, since I was already signed in). After entering the correct password for my current ID, I was locked out ( wondering now if it was requesting password using the old email address on the ID). I reset the password and was able to update. However now, the apple ID sign in with my old email address keeps popping up when I use safari, settings & other various times even though I am signed in using the correct ID in accounts, face times, messages etc. I hit cancel and can keep using my iPad.
What would cause the old ID to show up 3 months later & how do I stop this from happening? I could see if I had just changed it but it was month ago. I also made sure at that times to update my account, face times,iCloud,etc to the new ID. It is driving me nuts & am getting worried that either something is wrong with my Ipad or someone tried to access my account using the old ID.

I modified my old Apple ID to use my new email address as your supposed it. I also did this back in December and have been updating without my old email address ID popping up. It pops ups when I open Safari, sign in etc. FaceTime, messenger, my account were all changed. I could see if this was a problem when I first did it but 4 months later leaves me wondering what is going on.

If so, go to id.apple.com, manage apple id, sign in with current id, edit email back to the one showing in icloud settings. You can now sign out of icloud with your current password. Then back to id.apple.com, change your email back to the current one, verify it and sign back in to icloud.

When registering the phone, you should be able to choose later or basically not now at the upper right hand side. Most of what I think it will at least have you do is sign into your Apple ID but thats it.

Contacts are designed to be synced to a supported application on the computer or a cloud service.
Pictures taken with the device are designed to regularly be copied off the device to a computer as would be done with any digital camera.
If you have failed to use the device as designed it may be too late to recovery anything.
Is the device regularly backed up to a computer via iTunes? If so, the most recent backup (when restored to a replacement iOS device) should contain all contacts and pictures as of when the backup was created.

Right. But as I understand it, the aGPS is a function that speeds location using cell signals, but isn't necessary for the GPS signal. I can buy a plugin device that is a real GPS that I can use with my iPad mini. However, I would need an app for maps. I was wondering if anyone had used one of these.

I can't use my phone because it won't stop updating

Something popped out telling me I had to download the new version for my Iphone, you know usual stuff. Fine, started loading (you know when the apple sign shows up and there the loading bar underneath) At a point the bar was full, so the phone shutted down and restarted. But when it started the apple sign was still there with the loading bar who stopped almost half way. The thing is that even if i restart it, it won't go away. And nothing is downloading, apparently, because the bar isnt fufilling. Help me please I can't use my phone !

Update: my PC USB hub was connected to a USB 3 port, I connected the 30 pin cable directly to my PC, And the restore worked just fine. Restored phone from iCloud backup and seems to be working fine.

My iPhone 5 wouldn't start after I turned it off a few minutes after writing this. It went into recovery mode and I had no choice but to connect to iTunes on PC and restore.
I restored to factory setting first, just to validate my phone was okay. For a second consecutive iOS update, the iPhone 5 did not update smoothly while connected to PC and iTunes - I had to retry two times before the progress bar for the update showed. (The exact same problem with the restart occured when I updated to 7.0.4.)
The good news is that I was ultimately able to restore the iPhone 5 to factory settings while running iOS 7.0.6. I did have a backup from about a month ago lying around and was able to successfully restore with that as well, so the damage done is almost negligible since I had my contacts, notes, mail, etc. backed up to iCloud.
Once I completed both restores, the sync with iTunes worked fine.

dianneb, great question and thanks for the help Weth. The good news is if you're on More Everything the mobile hotspot would be apart of your plan just as Weth mentioned. What you just want to keep in mind is that the usage from the tablet while connected to the hotspot would take from your current plan allowance. Hope this helps!
