ICloud sign in won't disappear on iphone
Hello,
on my iphone5s, the iCloud sign in screen won't stop popping up, not allowing me to do anything else. I do not have email address associated with the pop up, nor do I remember that password. I can't even get into my settings to investgate because of the pop up screen.

In this situation, do you recognize the email address showing up as an old email address or is the email address you are being prompted for completely unrecognizable to you? If you do recognize the email address, I suggest using the attached article to reset the passcode for that account. If you had a rescue email address on that account, the email to reset the password will come to that rescue address. You can also try to reset by answering the security questions on the account.
If you forgot your Apple ID password
If you are still having issues resetting the password, it may be necessary to follow the link at the bottom of the attached article and contact Apple Support.

ICloud backup reminder won't disappear.
I haven't backed up my iPhone through iCloud in 7 weeks and it's been constantly reminding me, but today the reminder came on like 5 times and it won't disappear. When I press the 'okay' button it recognizes that I pressed it, but the blue reminder pop-up thing with the text remains there. I've tried to turn it off, but it's always in the front. I really don't know what to do and I need help.
Hard reset fixes that problem and once you login again go to settings - icloud- storage and backup and turn backup off.
Hard reset- pressing two buttons until you see apple on your screen at the same time.
Buttons - power on the top and home on the screen. -
Sign into iCloud pop-up message on iPad2 won't disappear off screen, have reset password multiple times but it is saying incorrect. Please HELP unable to use iPad as message appears every few seconds, iPad was working fine until now.
After the restore did the phone work properly for a while? Say, a day or so?
If so it is possible you have an app that doesn't let go of memory properly. I reboot my iPhone ( hold sleep/wake and hole till you see the apple logo) every few days. This resets the memory. The iPhone OS has doesn't seem to mange memory very well yet. So a reboot will help with that. I have had my phone almost slow to a stop before I started rebooting. Always reboot after installing a new app. Also do you close all pages in Safari when you are done? This is a good practice. Safari will run in the background and use processor time and drain your battery quicker. Create a new blank page then close all others when you are done browsing for a while. I have also found that certain web site that have animated images like weather maps will turn the phone into molasses. As soon as i close that page it gets faster.
If all of the above have no effect then as Tamara said it is time for a trip to the Genius bar.

Set up in iPhone. Go to System Preferences, click on iCloud, get the message "move to iCloud", sign in, click on open iCloud", sign in again, and get only FindmyPhone? Thus, when I go to Iphoto to set up photo sharing, it says I have to have icloud account-go to sys preferences--then i go through the loop again? Suggestions?

You're not going to be able to: you can't merge accounts or transfer iTunes purchases from one Apple ID to another: but there is no problem about using two IDs.
Use your ex-MobileMe email address (which is also an Apple ID) for iCloud for syncing email, contacts, calendars, bookmarks, and PhotoStream.
Use your other Apple ID as before for iTunes, iTunes in the Cloud and iTunes Match.
There's no conflict about doing this, and you won't even notice as Keychain will log you in with the correct ID in each case. It's also better security not to have your iTunes login also your email address, given the number of complaints about hacked iTunes accounts. -
My iCloud email account won't sign in!
My iCloud email account won't sign in. Every time i try to long on it say "Unable to verify account name or password". I just reset the password to what i thought was my iCloud account, but ended up just being my apple ID. It signs in on my iphone with the password i try to type in to my Mac but it says it's wrong, help??
Welcome to the Apple Community.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
Providing you are simply updating your existing details and not changing to another account, when you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again. -
IPhone 4 with iCloud sign in problem.
I have an iPhone 4 which has had issues connecting to wifi networks. It works some of the time. I guess it has been dropped a bit.
Recently it's not connecting at all, which is not normally a problem. I only use it for music, notes and phone functions.
What's happening is that it is coming up with a screen asking me to sign into iCloud. I type in the password just to get rid of the screen but, as its not connecting to a wifi network, its not going through. So I have this annoying sign in screen popping up every 5 seconds or so, literally.
I have done a soft reset. No joy.
I have tried to reset it with iTunes but iTunes tells me I have to turn off Find My Phone, which I can't as it either wont connect to the network (the network is working fine, the phone just cant see it) or the iCloud sign in keeps popping up and not allowing me to put in my password in the reset/Find My iPhone window.
In short, I have an iCloud sing in window that has turned my phone into an annoying brick.
I have done a backup yesterday, I just need (I think) some way of force resetting the entire phone without going through a sign in proceedure.
Any suggestions?Nope. I have a phone only service.
I am currently trying a force reset. I found out, using "The Google", that I can do that by releasing the top button while doing a force restart and keeping the home button down. I have been able to reset the phone and am doing a restore now. Mind you, it won't help if that **** iCloud window pops up again.... -
My mobileme aliases have disappeared in the transition to iCloud but it won't let me put them again because they appear as being used. Any help would be appreciated.

I recently changed from my old Iphone 5 to a new one. The Apple ID that comes up when signing into iCloud is my old Apple ID, yet the correct one is shown on iTunes and apps. I can't change the Apple ID to the correct one, and am unable to restore my latest back up from icloud. I have tried everything, but I can' t change the Apple ID on the phone. It stays greed out. My Apple ID is correct on my ipad and when I log into my iCloud account via the internet. How do can I fix this?
Skip the iCloud sign in for now.
Once you reach the home page, go to settings and sign out of FaceTime and Messages. This should also sign you out of iCloud.
Go to iCloud in settings and sign in with the correct Apple ID.
If that does not work
Skip the iCloud sign in
Go to Apple ID.apple.com and sign in
Change your Apple ID to the old one
Delete iCloud account on your device with the old Apple ID and the same password.
Go back to the website, change your Apple ID back to the current one. You will receive an email to verify the account. Verify first.

When I tap the mail icon on my iPhone 4s, the menu of email servers pops up. I already have a me acct that I check all the time, no problem. So I choose iCloud, sign in and it tells me that I already have an acct….so why can't I get to my emails then? I've turned the phone off and on twice....that has fixed it in the past but not this time....

icloud calendar is no longer syncing TO outlook although it previously did. If I make a calendar entry in outlook and hit the iCloud refresh, it DOES sync to my iphone, ipad. However if I make a calendar entry on my iphone or ipad it won't sync TO Outlook. Sync has been working up successfully both ways until this last week. Any ideas?

I have signed to up to iCloud and am pretty sure that all of my settings are turned on appropriately. However I get syncing from iCloud to my iMac and to my iPhone, but I am unable to get my iPhone to sync with the iCloud and most obviously calendar events, so that if adding an event on my iPone it never appears on my other hardware? Can anyone help me sort this out?
Re: check that the appointments in my phone are going into iCloud calendars....exactly how do I do this? I fear this is a really stupid question!
My iCloud account is set up with my Apple ID as one email account (for example [email protected]) which is the email account I use to sign up for internet sites like Amazon, Apple,etc, so that I can differentiate vendors/mass emails. But my default calendar on my iPhone is in a different email name (ie [email protected]) which I use for most communications to friends, relatives, etc. and it is this account that holds most of my appointments. To further complicate things I have other email accounts that I use for business/professional and community work. If I want all my calendars to show on my iPhone AND sync to my iCloud, do I set this at the phone level or the iCloud level? or both?
Let me clarify....It looks like if I go into appointments that I previously set up through my personal account (ie above [email protected]) and edit the entry on my iPhone, selecting the iCloud "home" calendar within the entry, it will then sync to my iCloud account, no problem....do I have to do this to EVERY entry I have? or is there a way to name my personal account as one to sync to iCloud? -
I receive a " the maximum number of free account have been activated on this iPhone " when I want to sign in iCloud with my Apple ID on my iphone..please someone help me..
Any one device can create only three iCloud accounts: this is tied to the hardware, not the user account, and there is no way round this.
You will have to create an iCloud account on another iOS device or Mac, then you can sign into it on your iPhone. -
Annoying iCloud sign-in popup, blocking entire iPhone

Since I last rebooted my iPhone, an iCloud sign-in popup has been appearing, overlaying everything else on the iPhone. Now, I have reset my AppleID password and cannot login using it on my iPhone. This is not strange as the pop-up is so aggressive I cannot even unlock my sim-card nor configure a WLAN.
Essentially, my iPhone 5 is currently as useful as a stone.
So, does anyone have an idea on how to solve this?
Also, I am fine with completely disabling iCloud on this device, but I haven't been able to do so yet.Ok, so what I did was to press cancel when requested to logon and get access to internet by timing the small timeslot inbetween the pop-ups and finally activating my WLAN. Once connected to the internet I could login and that of course got rid of the annoying pop-up.
Another possibility to just get rid of the pop-up is to try the wrong password three times and press "reset password/forgot password" which redirects you to a website. Once the website has loaded, the popups stops. This thus does not require one to actually login, but requires you to have an internet connection.
Anyway, nice way of getting people to login to Apple services... -
Icloud sign-in hanging up on iphone...
In the process of trying to share my calendar with my wife's iPhone, I try to sign into her iCloud using her credentials and it just sits there. Anybody know why this would hang up at this point? I know it says no service on the pic, but I am connected via wifi. Thanks for the help!

So after reading other's threads on this issue, I learned that by turning icloud's calendar sync option off and then on again, it re-sets your calendar and pesky old things go away like magic. Thanks to others on this forum for sharing their expertise! I'm all set now.

Finder not showing individual files
When I am looking at finder, there are no files in any folder. Applications is empty, Downloads is empty, folders I have created are empty. Yet if I I do a search on a file or application it shows it being there. I am running 10.9.4 on an 2009 iMac.
