  • How do I enable 'iCloud Status' view in iTunes 11.1?

Previously Match users were able to activate 'iCloud Status' view in the music library columns. This feature would indicate if a song were uploaded / matched / etc. After updating to the iTunes 11.1, this feature seems to be missing or moved to a separate menu. Anyone have any insight?

    Hi,
In addition to Michael's comments, try closing iTunes and re opening.
On one occasion after I readded match, iCloud status was missing from view options. Relaunch solved problem.

  • We need to revert to pre-iCloud status....

We live in an area where no iPhone carrier can provide a signal, so we use Android and sync our iMacs with 3rd party software. (Missing Sync). Recently, my wife upgraded her machine from ME to Cloud - now she cannot sync anything.  Eventually we'll get iPhones when they become available here, but for now we NEED to restore her machine to pre-iCloud status.  Not certain if Time Machine will do this or if there is some method to 'uninstall' the Cloud? Any help would be deeply appreciated...

    Good morning, Glenn,
Well, we've disconnected the iCloud. But I'm having difficulty with using TM to restore the calenders.  My wife knows she 'upgraded' to iCloud on 4/23, so restoring the iCad to 4/21 should be a breeze.  And maybe I'm trying to do something incorrectly...  I going to TM and selecting the date of 4/21.  Then I negotiate my way from the shown 'desktop' to iCal icon, highlight it, and choose 'restore'.  But that doesn't seem to work for some reason.... I'm not certain why. I've made certain the application is closed before trying this procedure. The 'dates' move as they should, but then I get a message saying, "iCal can't be modified or deleted because it's required by Mac OSX". Since I'm not trying to do either - at least I don't belive I am - that message makes no sense to me.
I've read that the 'real' data resides with iCloud and that the iMac is only a mirror of iCloud.  If that's true, suppose I need to reconnect iCloud, make another backup, disconnect again from iCloud and then try to restore the backup? But it's difficult for me to believe that iCloud has modified iCal retroactively...  This seems to be getting ever more complicated....  but I sure do apprecaite your help....

My sympathy, but, this is what you agreed to when you chose to use a free system: (From terms of service agreement, iCloud)
APPLE DOES NOT GUARANTEE, REPRESENT, OR WARRANT THAT YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, AND YOU AGREE THAT FROM TIME TO TIME APPLE MAY REMOVE THE SERVICE FOR INDEFINITE PERIODS OF TIME, OR CANCEL THE SERVICE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE TERMS OF THIS AGREEMENT.
And this is no different from any other free service I'm afraid. Pay for your mail, then you have the right to expect service.

  • My external hard drive went bad and i need to reset the iCloud status within iTunes. I can't figure out how to do this. Any ideas?

So I had most of my music on an external hard drive (Seagate even!) and it went bad, but I occationally can get some stuff off of it. When I tried to do the iTunes Match, it looked for songs on my computer and found alot not there. Now they are all set to the iCloud Status of "waiting". I need to reset this so I can pull them down on an individual basis.
Ideas? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

  • My calendar on iCloud is missing most older events

My calendar on iCloud is missing all but recurring events that happened a year or more ago. I have therefore lost these events on my MacBook and Touch, too. I have an old backup of my calendar data, but it seems that if I use this to restore iCal on my MacBook, I'll lose all newer events.  Can I merge the two backup files? When I tried to use an old backup to populate my calendar on the MacBook, I got an error message that it would wipe out the data now on my calendar.  I want to merge the old data with newer events.  Is there a workaround that will let me do this?  I imagine this happened when I moved to iCloud, but it seems unlikely that I would not have looked for older events on my calendar (and found them missing) since then.
In addition to one iCal backup, I have Time Machine, which doesn't seem to allow you to look at older calendars, and a versioned backup to an external drive using Data Backup.  I thought that one of these would let me look at old calendar data, but it's almost pointless if I can't merge the data or at least have a separate calendar for older data.

i had this problem too, but after looking at this post I went into settings, iCloud and toggled the Calendars to on (green). I then went back into the calendar and the plus sign was available.

  • ICloud status not displayed correctly after changing tags

    Hi everybody,
I have just below 25 000 songs in the iTunes library that I use for iTunes Match (my complete library is actually much larger but I created a separate library to stay below the 25 000 songs limit).
After changing some tags in iTunes (I had some artists listed twice, once in the format "<last name>, <first name>" and once "<first name> <last name>" and wanted to harmonize this) the iCloud status of most of my songs is no longer displayed correctly. If I create a smart playlist containing all "matched" songs it finds only about 1000 songs, a playlist for "uploaded" songs contains only about 250 songs, the vast majority of my songs simply have NO iCloud status whatsoever (not even "waiting").
Trying to fix this, I selected all of my songs, option clicked and chose "Add it iCloud". After waiting some time, nothing changed. The funny thing is: iTunes match reports that 24 669 songs (the correct number) are available in iCloud.
So basically everything works and I am also able to download all of my songs on my iPhone. Still, it's a little bit annoying that the iCloud status is not displayed correctly and smart playlists filtering for iCloud status don't work. Does anybody know a way to fix this?
    Thanks for any help,
    Andreas

The reason why the C3850 switch stack is showing as standalone in LMS CiscoView is because
    it's returning sysObjectID as standalone.
It should return as 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.1745 --cat38xxstack
While, if you poll it for sysObjectID, the Catalyst 3850 stack switches will be returning OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.1641.
This is an IOS bug "CSCul00003 - Incorrect Sys OID for Cat3850 Stack device".
Unless this bug is fixed, LMS will not be able to show it as stack device.
You can try to check if you can manually change the device identity to cat38xxstack from Inventory > add/edit device > edit identity.
Else we need to wait for the fix of this bug.
    -Thanks

The iCloud Status option does not display under my View Options (See pic). Any suggestions? Much appreciated.Thank you!!

    Hi,
Why are you trying to add a book as music? It will not match as this only applies to music files. It will be uploaded if the bit rate is 96 Kbps or greater.
You should change media type to audiobook and you will be able to sync by wifi or USB.

  • ICloud Status column gone in iTunes 11.2.1?

Has the iCloud Status column been removed from the lastest update of iTunes? When I go to view options it is no longer there. How are we supposed to know what has been uploaded or matched in iTunes Match now?

How odd a restart of iTunes brings it back. That fixed it.

  • Windows right click iTunes Match iCloud option missing

    Hi there
Running a PC on Windows 7
In itunes I've noticed that when I right click on a song that hasn't uploaded the iCloud options have gone
Anyone else got this issue and a fix for it?
Should I just reinstall iTunes? or is this a known bug with a fix on the way?
    Many thanks

That's because the track is now available in the cloud. You need to enable the iCloud Status column to see then status of the song. Pull down View > View Options, select "icloud status" and click OK. After the initial scan, match and upload process has completed you will see one of two statuses on a track: "matched" or "uploaded." Neither of these will have the "add to icloud" option in the contextual menu. Andy songs that are "waiting" still need to be processed by iTunes Match.
Keep in mind that not all songs actually "upload" to the cloud; most of them will "match" to songs in the iTunes Store. Hence the name of the service: iTunes Match.

I need to know why songs in my library show and ICLOUD status of "waiting" and I can never play them.

The same thing happened to me.
    1. You will need to know the location of your iTunes library for later, the default is under music under your username.  If its not there find it and remember where it is for later.
    2. Then you have to exit iTunes and create a new empty library. To do this hold the option key when you open iTunes.  Choose create Library on the pop up dialogue. Create the library anywhere on your system, you can delete the entire library once you have completed your iCloud changes.
    3. When the library opens in iTunes it will be empty. Click on iTunes Match and click the start button.  after it finishes all of the songs on your iCloud match account will be listed under music.
    4. you can select up to 1000 at a time and delete them.
    5. when you have deleted everything close iTunes and open again holding the option key and navigate to your original library, usually in the music folder under your username.  You should be all set and can click iTunes match again and your account will be populated with the ones in your current library.
    6. You can navigate to the temp library you created in finder and delete it as it is no longer needed.
Good luck, I hope this helps.
