Icloud Status Waiting?

I don't know about any of you guys, but a majority of my songs have this. Any wat to fix it?

I too experienced this issue. Many songs said "Waiting" and never changed. To fix, I just Quit iTunes and relaunched. They all magically changed to matched/uploaded. Although, this may or may not work in your situation. I may have done something to cause "Waiting" to be displayed that you did not do.

  • Error occurred uploading song, then goes to iCloud status "waiting"

I have about 250 songs (out of over 5000) that fail to upload to iCloud via matching.
They show an error symbol in the song list and if you click on it it says something like "could not be uploaded because an error occured."
It then eventually shows iCloud status of "waiting."
There doesn't appear to be any pattern to the songs with this problem.
Songs are mostly AAC audio files with a few MP3.
Some songs are just one or two from an album that has successfully uploaded or been matched.
I've tried deleting the songs from the cloud, converting them to mp3 and readding, but it doesn't work.
I've tried turning off itunes match and back on again. No difference.
This basically means I've spent a lot of money so I can't play 250 songs on my iOS devices.
    All rather anoying.
Latest iTunes on latest OSX on mid 2011 MBP, also using assorted iOS5 devices.

    Hi,
If i am not in understanding you are uploading the data intothe ods first and then to the infocube which both the extractions are delta right?
And your load is failing int he ODS stage am i right?
If i am right. And if this is a delta load to the ODS, you have to wait until the loading job in the background finishes. When the technical status of the request is yellow  we should never force red to remove it. If you want to remove the req then first you have to kill the process associated with it.
As you mentioned, in the reconstruction tab you can see some requets in status yellow. Kindly kill the processes associated with it and force it to red and then make a repeat delta to ODS.
Then you can activate and further load it to the data target.
    Hope this helps

    Hi,
Why are you trying to add a book as music? It will not match as this only applies to music files. It will be uploaded if the bit rate is 96 Kbps or greater.
You should change media type to audiobook and you will be able to sync by wifi or USB.

  • I need to know why songs in my library show and ICLOUD status of "waiting" and I can never play them.

I need to know why songs in my library show and ICLOUD status of "waiting" and I can never play them.

The same thing happened to me.
    1. You will need to know the location of your iTunes library for later, the default is under music under your username.  If its not there find it and remember where it is for later.
    2. Then you have to exit iTunes and create a new empty library. To do this hold the option key when you open iTunes.  Choose create Library on the pop up dialogue. Create the library anywhere on your system, you can delete the entire library once you have completed your iCloud changes.
    3. When the library opens in iTunes it will be empty. Click on iTunes Match and click the start button.  after it finishes all of the songs on your iCloud match account will be listed under music.
    4. you can select up to 1000 at a time and delete them.
    5. when you have deleted everything close iTunes and open again holding the option key and navigate to your original library, usually in the music folder under your username.  You should be all set and can click iTunes match again and your account will be populated with the ones in your current library.
    6. You can navigate to the temp library you created in finder and delete it as it is no longer needed.
Good luck, I hope this helps.

  • My external hard drive went bad and i need to reset the iCloud status within iTunes. I can't figure out how to do this. Any ideas?

So I had most of my music on an external hard drive (Seagate even!) and it went bad, but I occationally can get some stuff off of it. When I tried to do the iTunes Match, it looked for songs on my computer and found alot not there. Now they are all set to the iCloud Status of "waiting". I need to reset this so I can pull them down on an individual basis.
Ideas? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

    Update to iTunes 10.3.1
After you have finished, you can re download your iTunes purchases without having to re purchase.

  • ICloud status not displayed correctly after changing tags

    Hi everybody,
I have just below 25 000 songs in the iTunes library that I use for iTunes Match (my complete library is actually much larger but I created a separate library to stay below the 25 000 songs limit).
After changing some tags in iTunes (I had some artists listed twice, once in the format "<last name>, <first name>" and once "<first name> <last name>" and wanted to harmonize this) the iCloud status of most of my songs is no longer displayed correctly. If I create a smart playlist containing all "matched" songs it finds only about 1000 songs, a playlist for "uploaded" songs contains only about 250 songs, the vast majority of my songs simply have NO iCloud status whatsoever (not even "waiting").
Trying to fix this, I selected all of my songs, option clicked and chose "Add it iCloud". After waiting some time, nothing changed. The funny thing is: iTunes match reports that 24 669 songs (the correct number) are available in iCloud.
So basically everything works and I am also able to download all of my songs on my iPhone. Still, it's a little bit annoying that the iCloud status is not displayed correctly and smart playlists filtering for iCloud status don't work. Does anybody know a way to fix this?
    Thanks for any help,
    Andreas

The reason why the C3850 switch stack is showing as standalone in LMS CiscoView is because
    it's returning sysObjectID as standalone.
It should return as 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.1745 --cat38xxstack
While, if you poll it for sysObjectID, the Catalyst 3850 stack switches will be returning OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.1641.
This is an IOS bug "CSCul00003 - Incorrect Sys OID for Cat3850 Stack device".
Unless this bug is fixed, LMS will not be able to show it as stack device.
You can try to check if you can manually change the device identity to cat38xxstack from Inventory > add/edit device > edit identity.
Else we need to wait for the fix of this bug.

  • ICloud Status in iTunes

What does "waiting" mean in teh iCloud status on iTunes?

I just bought a 15-inch MacBook Pro Retina and I recall during iTunes setup that I enabled something to do with iCloud.  It didn't have to do with logging into my account.  It was an actual setting but I flew past the click box too quickly to realize what it was I enabled.  I think I was logged into the iTunes store at the time but I can't find any settings in the iTunes store that will allow me to change whatever it was that I did.  I have a gut feeling this check box might be what's causing the 'waiting' message to appear in iTunes.  Most of the songs I recognize as 'waiting', came from my CD collection and weren't purchased through iTunes.
So what's the system doing with my music list?

  • ICloud Status is blank?

I have a few tracks that are blank in iCloud Status, neither Matched nor Uploaded. They are good playing in iTunes. I tried to delete and add them in iTunes and updated iTunes Match without success. Thanks for help.

I am having this same problem for the last couple of days.  I added a couple of hundred tracts a few days ago.
I have two that play fine and are >128 kbps.  I've tried deleting them and re-adding them to iTunes, Update iTunes Match, delete al the old caches, and reboot, and waiting a couple of days, but their status is still blank.
Also I have a half dozen tracts that where added at the same time that  keeping returning error.  Same situation as the blank ones.    When I try to add them manually I get "This item was not added to iCloud because an error occurred."
Any help would be apprecaied.  Thanks!

  • ICloud Status blank?

If I have iTunes Match why would my 'iCloud Status' column have no value in it for some tracks?  Half my library doesn't have a value in this column, but I've tested two songs deleting them to see if they are on my iCloud.  They delete and I'm able to re-download them.  But I'm concerned this isn't the case for all the tracks, it would take to long to test everyone, and I would like to understand what is going on.  My understanding is that every track should have a value in this column.

    Hi,
I have not come across this problem before. This field should show matched, uploaded, purchased, inelligible, duplicate or waiting and should not be blank.
I suggest that you hold shift key whilst turning off match. Next turn on match, you will be asked to add this computer, do so. See if this corrects the problem. Ps you may need to readd iCloud status column.

  • ITunes Match leaves ripped songs in multiple iCloud status states

Itunes Match seems to have made a complete mess of my Library.  I had to restart match several times, and in the end it looked like it was about to complete but when I came back to it,  I found that is had started the whole matching process again.  Now I see most of my songs ripped from CD duplicated in multiple iCloud states.  Most of my ripped songs appear duplicated as Uploaded and also as greyed out Waiting status.  Some appear duplicated as Uploaded and Matched.  Some of my music is duplicated as both in Matched state, one with the iCloud download option and other without.  As far as I can tell, nearly all my own ripped tracks appear as duplicates with different iClouds status in one form or another.  Purchased tracks from iTunes are fine with no duplicates.  What a mess!
I seems that during these multiple attempts to match iCloud was getting different results each time and I ended up with a hodgepodge of duplicates.  I have tried quitting iTunes and coming back in.  I have updated match, it went quickly and made no changes.  I have turned off match and then put it back on (prompted to add the computer) - no change.   How do I clean out this mess?
Note: I worked with a separate iTunes Library to to the match.  My main library contains songs in both AAC and Apple Lossless formats.  I first tried matching that library and realized that it was going to give me duplicates.  So I created a new empty Library and deleted my iCloud tracks to reset it.  Then I opened a custom library with just my AAC format files to do the match.  This seemed to work although as I noted it got stock a couple times and then seemed to repeat the match process in the end. Note these multiple libraries point to the same media files.  Fortunately it doesn't look like I have lost any original tracks, but the display is very messy with all the duplicates.
Are these iCloud states stored locally where I could delete a file and then reopen the library I wish to match and update the matches to refresh the iCloud status and hopefully clear out all the duplicate listings?  I am hoping I don't need to start over since this took two days to do.  But if I do, what must be done to start from a clean state.  In addition to clearing out iCloud via deleting from an empty library, are there other local files that need to be purged?

Don't feel bad -- I'm running iTM on Windows XP and it's clearly not listed as supported either.       Are some of those dups greyed out?  I've had that issue if I tried to match and then killed the process before it completed.  If so, you might need to clear all them out before you re-run.   In other words, if you create a new library and see a bunch of iCloud stuff when you enable iTM, you might want to go through and clean up iCloud before you attempt any more local matching on your end.
The only real problem I see with 10.5.8 (or XP for that matter) is that if you contact Apple directly, they might suggest upgrading as the first step since it's not listed as supported.   Unfortunately it is what it is and Apple, like any other large tech company has to set EOL dates for certain OS's.

  • Why are there no iCloud status icons next to some of my tracks in iTunes on my Mac ?

I was looking at this page: http://support.apple.com/kb/ts4124
There are different icons depending upon the status of a track in my library.
But what if there is NO ICON, near some of  the songs in my library? Does it mean it everything is ok and that it is in iCloud? Or is it a bug? As I have a large library, I cannot verify that each and every track is in iCloud.

    Hi,
If tracks have been matched, purchased or uploaded and there is no cloud symbol, everything will be ok and tracks will be on your computer.
Add iCloud status to song view -go to menu> view> view options and tick box. Matched, uploaded, purchased, inelligible, duplicate or waiting will show.

  • HT204406 I purchased an album from itunes, and put it in a playlist. icloud status lists all the songs as purchased, and when I click on "Update itunes Match", this playlist will not update. There is a cloud to the right of the playlist name.

I purchased an album from the itunes store, and put it in a playlist. icloud status listed all the songs as purchased, instead of the usual "Waiting". When I clicked on "Update itunes Match", everything updated except this playlist. There is a cloud to the right of the playlist name. This has never happened before.
    Any ideas?

I deleted the songs from my desktop (iMac), then I used itunes match to reload the songs back on my desktop from my laptop. When they reappeared on my desktop, then I right-clicked on the songs and clicked on the option to add to icloud. This however did not work, and they just duplicated into icloud, but they were "greyed out" and unuseable. I hope I'm explaining myself clearly? In other words, the songs seem to be trying to go into the cloud, but they are greyed out in my library and cannot download. It is as if they are ghosts? My songs do play fine when I transfer them via itunes match, and everything appears normal. They just won't transfer via the cloud. As I said before, every other song in my library always work fine via the could, but only the songs off this one album that I bought from itunes in 07' will not work???

  • How do I enable 'iCloud Status' view in iTunes 11.1?

Previously Match users were able to activate 'iCloud Status' view in the music library columns. This feature would indicate if a song were uploaded / matched / etc. After updating to the iTunes 11.1, this feature seems to be missing or moved to a separate menu. Anyone have any insight?

    Hi,
In addition to Michael's comments, try closing iTunes and re opening.
On one occasion after I readded match, iCloud status was missing from view options. Relaunch solved problem.

My sympathy, but, this is what you agreed to when you chose to use a free system: (From terms of service agreement, iCloud)
APPLE DOES NOT GUARANTEE, REPRESENT, OR WARRANT THAT YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, AND YOU AGREE THAT FROM TIME TO TIME APPLE MAY REMOVE THE SERVICE FOR INDEFINITE PERIODS OF TIME, OR CANCEL THE SERVICE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE TERMS OF THIS AGREEMENT.
And this is no different from any other free service I'm afraid. Pay for your mail, then you have the right to expect service.
