ICloud stopped syncing

Hi,
iCloud stopped working for me. Atleast for Pages it doesn't sync. If I edit a document on my iPhone or iPad it would sync to iCloud but not sync to eachother. This is very annoying since I used to type up some stuff on my iPhone during transit and then continue to edit on my Mac, but now I can't seem to do that.
My devices do sync to iCloud.com, just not to eachother.

No wait, can that. None of my devices seem to sync to iCloud anymore or to eachother.

iCloud stopped syncing updated apps (updated on my iMac) to my iOS devices (iPad1, iPhone 4S, iPod Touch 4th generation), just the apps, everything else works fine. It  worked perfectly before. I changed nothing, it just stopped working. What to do ?
    Thanks, Karin

Thanks Julian, I know, but I wasn't clear.  I'll re-formulate this : after I've downloaded either new apps or ones I already have, in iTunes and onto my Mac, I expect them to appear on my iOS devices a little later. My settings for iCloud are correct : Settings > Store is enabled. And it worked perfectly before.

  • ICloud stopped syncing with iPhone 4s & iPad.

iCloud suddenly stopped syncing Apps & Calendar from one to the other, both ways. Contacts is working fine. Updates are current. I haven't made any deliberate changes and I have plenty of storage available. Suggestions?

Check Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Calendar (in the Calendars section) on both devices and make sure you have selected an iCloud calendar as your default.  (iCloud only syncs events added to an iCloud calendar.)  If you haven't, make this change, then add a test event on both devices and see if they sync to the other device now.

  • Why has iCloud stopped syncing documents across devices?

Just recently, my iPhone has stopped syncing documents with my iPad. They are both on wifi yet they still wont sync with each other. I have gone through all the settings on both devices, and I can't seem to find anything wrong. I have even tried syncing both of them with itunes, but yet the documents still wont appear on both devices. Any recommendations besides restoring both of them?

Had the same problem. iCloud failed on my iPhone and on my iPad2.
Turned out, in my case, to be a corrupt contacts-database. I have 176 contacts on the iCloud-website, but only 50 of them turned up on my iPhone, In addition to all of the problems mentioned in this thread.
This is how I solved it:
    - Synced iCloud contacts with my Outlook 2010 (PC): http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/pc.html
    - Copied the new Outlook iCloud contacts-folder to an empty or new Outlook contacts-folder.
    - Deleted all contacts on my iCloud web-site.
    - Waited for Outlook iCloud-folder to sync to empty state.
    - Copied contacts (from the second step) back to the Outlook iCloud-folder.
    - Waited for sync to copy contacts to the iCloud web-site.
    - Did a factory reset on my iPhone to be able to reinsert my iCloud-account. Everything works fine!
Easier on my iPad: just removed/added the iCloud-account to get it to work again

  • My iPhone and iCloud stopped syncing

My contacts and calendars (iCal and Google) were syncing fine until a few weeks ago, when they suddenly stopped.  Anything I add to the phone doesn't go on the MacBook, and vice versa.  I've checked my settings on my phone, and all appears fine.  I have not yet upgraded to iOS6, due to the map issue, and would prefer not to until that's fixed. Any ideas?

    Hello..
    None of them were syncing..
I deleted the calendar on the ipad first..and removed all the entries and turned it back on and it seemed to work...
I did the same to iphone and it now also seems to work..
Although it does show some appts on my iphone that still won't sync to the cloud..
My ipad is turned off right now for the calendar...
When I replace the missing appt on the icloud it shows doubled up on my iphone...
Notice below(sorry about the sideways pic)..that the entry Georgia in orange had disappeared from icloud but remained on my phone..
Even though the iphone seems to be working the entry Georgia will not sync back but is on the ipad and iphone...
    I checked all the calendars

  • ICloud not syncing anymore on Mac

    Hello everybody,
I use iCloud for saving all my documents and files with nearly all compatible applications. Theses last weeks, I saw that iCloud stopped syncing my GarageBand projects. The new projects show "Waiting..." and the old ones are greyed out and can't be opened. I tried to manage my iCloud Storage under System Preferences but I can't see files that are on my iCloud account. This issue is bothering me because it means that I'll loose all my files if something goes wrong as they are not saved on the cloud. Notes is syncing very well between my iPod and my Mac. I tried to disconnect my iCloud account and reconnected it but nothing helps.
    I need your advice...Thank you !

Can it be, that the GarageBand .app is still open on your iPod? Then the sync will be waiting.
What happened directly before this problem started? Did you update or upgrade any software?
Which versions of GarageBand and operating systems are you using on your Mac and on your iPod?
On your Mac you'll find the GarageBand iCloud projects in your user library. Open the folder
    ~/Library/Mobile Documents/
    and check the subfolders
    ~/Library/Mobile Documents/some-cryptic-code~com~apple~garageband10
    and
    ~/Library/Mobile Documents/some-cryptic-code~com~apple~mobilegarageband
These folders contain the projects that are synced to iCloud, and they are also included in your TimeMachine backups. If you backup to TimeMachine, or use clones to backup your system, you should be able to restore these projects from the backup.
You user library may still be hidden, as is the default in Mavericks: To open your hidden user library:
Select the "Home" folder icon (the little house)  in the Finder's sidebar and press the key combination ⌘J to open the "view options".
    Enable "Show Library Folder".
Then open the Home folder and open the Library folder inside and navigate to ~/Library/Mobile Documents

  • HT4915 How do you stop syncing address and calendar to iCloud? I only want to sync  from my computer to iPhone.

How do you stop syncing address and calendar to iCloud? I only want to sync  from my computer to iPhone.  This is because I cannont upgrade to Lion and I do not want to get duplicate contacts when I sync from the computer 10.6.8 to my iPhone iOS5.  You should not upgrade to Lion upless you have 4GB of ram. Lion does not support rosita so all your old programs will not funtion and you have to repurchase all old software the is working fine.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Settings > iCloud, turn off contact and calendar syncing.

Another user just has a similar issue tonight and I advised him to go to the below Apple support link to see if the password was recognized there, which eventually resolved his username/passowrd issue. Give it a try and see if it works.

  • Getting iCloud to Stop Syncing Apps I Remove Using iTunes

Let me start by stating that I have my iPad 3 set up to sync with iCloud.
I have been connecting my iPad to my Mac and having iTunes sync it, including applications. When I remove apps from the iPad using iTunes, they re-appear after the iPad syncs with iCloud. I don't want to stop iCloud syncing due to my calendars and e-mail syncing, but I don't want it to put apps back on the iPad after I have removed them using iTunes. Can anyone suggest a way to stop syncing the apps with iCloud, or should I stop syncing them with iTunes (which would save me a lot of space on my computer)? If I do stop iTunes, how do I get it to stop downloading the apps that I put on the iPad?

The iCloud synch encompasses data only. It will, in and of itself, add apps to the iOS deveice. Likewise with the back up - it is a one way transmission.
I'm not entirely clear what the full course of events is, but you might check to see if Automatic downloas is turned on for app (and turn it off): Open the Settings app > iTunes & App Stores > Automatic downloads.

  • My iphone calendar stopped syncing with outlook 7 thru the cloud. I clicked on tools, trust center, add ins. icloud add in had been disabled. I tried to re enable it but was told that this could only be done by administrator. I am the admin. Help????

My iphone calendar stopped syncing with outlook 7 thru the cloud. I clicked on outlook tools, trust center, add ins. I noted that icloud add in had been disabled. I tried to re enable it but got a message that this change could only be done by administrator. I am the administrator. Help???? Any ideas?

I do not believe this. I have been going nuts trying everything as in prior posts, and this has been a problem for users at least since 2010. I had this problem a long time ago and didn't pay too much attention to it because it was my iPad, and I depended on my BB a a base calander to feed Outlook. I became very concerned within the past week when I switched my BB to iPhone 5s, and was carrying both because I still needed to carry the BB for new calander enteries to sync up to Outlook 2007.
I had followed http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1925 and delete the apple s/w and re-installed. But according to the previous post, it appears that the issue was in the data - which was not deleted during all these deinstalls nor overridden with the new installs.
I am a XP user, so my files are in documents and settings/(username) both application data and \local settings\application data, but I also have safari and quicktime installed as well and didn't want to just blow entire high level folders if I didn't have to.
So I followed http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1925 then purged several apple folders in my windows profile and this definitely blew apple computer\preferences away. What I did was a little clumbsy, and desperate, but it worked. I am finally back in business.
However, I would like to see someone fine tune this and determine if it was just the preferences folder that needed to be deleted so that iTunes needed to rebuild it, or if there were other filoes that were apparently corrupted away, just to get this to the minimum number of steps to fix the issue.
BUT THANKS - This has been the most HELPFUL thread to get me syncing agai!!!!

  • HT204053 My calender stopped sync with iphone when I upgraded ti iCloud?

I upgraded my MacBook Pro to OS lion, 10:7:3 and it stopped syncing calender with my iphone.

First check that all your settings are correct, that calendar syncing is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
Make sure the calendars you are using are in your 'iCloud' account and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud account (you can do this by clicking/tapping the calendar button in the top left corner of the application ), non iCloud calendars will not sync.
If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your calendars are in the iCloud account, you might try unchecking calendar syncing in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling calendar syncing settings.

  • My macbook pro is running 10.10.1 and has stopped syncing reminders and calendar events to iCloud.

My macbook pro is running 10.10.1 and has stopped syncing reminders and calendar events to iCloud. Changes made to iCloud directly DO update to my machine, so the communication issue is one way only. When I make a change to the calendar or reminders on my machine, it will often bog down and run slowly. I have done several trouble shooting steps without result. these include:
    Restarting my computer.
Running Disk Utility diagnostics for both permissions and disk verification.
Checking that my internet and network is working.
Checking that I am properly logged in to iCloud with my ID on my machine and that I have set everything to sync.
Checking my iCloud settings to stop syncing Reminders and Calendars and then setting them back to sync again.
    Any suggestions?

    1. Calendars in the On My Mac or On My iPhone/iPad/iPod category, and calendars that sync with other network services such as Google, will not sync with iCloud.
    2. Back up all data, then take all the applicable steps in these support articles:
    iCloud: Troubleshooting iCloud Calendar
iCloud: Advanced Calendar and iCal troubleshooting
Nearly all sync issues should be resolved that way. Please make sure you've taken all the steps and tested adequately before continuing.
    3. If there are any calendars on your Mac that you don't synchronize with iCloud, export them by selecting them in the calendar list and then selecting
              File ▹ Export ▹ Export…
from the menu bar. Quit Calendar.
    4. Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it:
    ~/Library/Calendars
Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select
              Services ▹ Reveal
from the contextual menu.* A Finder window should open with a folder selected. Move that folder to the Desktop.
    5. Launch Calendar. Your calendars will initially be gone, but they should resynchronize with iCloud. If they don't, uncheck the boxes marked Calendars and Reminders in the iCloud preference pane, then re-check them.
    6. Import the calendars you exported in Step 3, if any, by double-clicking the files.
    7. If the issue is resolved, close the Finder window you opened in Step 4. Delete the exported files and the Calendars folder on the Desktop.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination  command-C. In the Finder, select
              Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.
