ICloud storage space (unknown files filled in my iCloud)

Hello there,
Currently I am using iPhone 4S with iOS 7.1.2 running. However for the past few months, my iCloud storage become full until today for no reason. I am wondering is there any other way to clear all my iCloud data or any other way to remove unknown files filled inside my iCloud?
Here I attached some pictures from iCloud for PC and inside my iOS...
Thanks in advance

Unfortunately only two things are inside the Manage Storage section which is my whatsapp uses 257.4MB and Mail 5.1MB...

  • Trouble with Elements organizer and online storage space

    Hello,
I have a problem with my online storage space showing files, when I have deleted everything.  The techs at Adobe want me to reset client services within organizer, but this only causes the program to hand up loading for hours.... So, is there a way to solve this?  Do I need to remove and reinstall?  Can this be done just for the organizer program?

  • ICloud storage space used up by old data from 1st gen iPad I traded in nearly 2 yrs ago for an iPad Mini. Can't backup any info for mini or new 6 plus. How can I access this old data to clear it out?

My iCoud storage space is being used up by old data from a 1st  generation iPad I traded in nearly 2 yrs ago for an iPad Mini. The people at the sprint store where I made my trade were supposed to transfer everything over from my old iPad to the new Mini once they backed up the old device to iCloud. Well, long story short, none of the data ever got transferred to the new iPad, but it all got backed to iCloud, eating up all my storage space. Here I am almost 2 years later, and I've never been able to back-up my iPad mini. What's worse, My iPhone 4 wasn't backed up that whole time, and now I can't back-up my data from my new iPhone 6 Plus to iCloud either. Trying to find creative ways to store and save my information and data between all my devices is getting to be ridiculous. I don't want to upgrade my storage space though...just want to clear out a great deal of what is already being stored. How can I access this old data to clear it out?

The only way to access data from an iCloud backup is to restore it to your device.  You could, for example, back up your iPad mini to your computer using iTunes (by connecting it, opening iTunes, then going to File>Devices>Back Up and choosing to back up apps and transfer purchases when prompted), then erase it and restore the old iPad backup (as explained here: iCloud: Restore or set up your iOS device from iCloud), save any recovered data you want to keep, then restore your iTunes backup back to your iPad mini (by connecting it to your computer, opening iTunes, then going to File>Devices>Restore from Backup).
Once you're done with the old backup, delete it from your account to free up the space.

  • IPhone 5s playing video from iCloud takes up all free storage space and phone to crash

    Hello All,
Traded in my 32GB iPhone 5 for a 16GB iPhone 5s today. Using the iPhone's built in "Video" app and streaming videos purchased in iTunes will sometimes cause the phone to freeze and fill of the phone's free space until the indicates free bytes in usage says 0. It seems like it is a software glitch as the phone works perfectly fine everyone else. I'm running iOS 7.0.3. I've also tried restoring the phone, which hasn't help.
Has anyone run into this before or have any suggestions?
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Chris

I've encountered the same issue tonight. Decided to purchase a movie and NOT download it to the iPhone 5S, but instead play it from the Videos app...which supposedly streams it from iCloud.
Half way through the film, a message informs me that I have low storage space. I check storage - 0kb.
I throw away 1.2GB of old apps and various pics / vids in my camera roll, then finish the movie. Just after watching, another message pops up...that 1.2GB was consumed as I watched the rest of the film.
It's almost as if the film was downloaded to the phone...taking up space (what was the point of "streaming" it from iCloud if it was going to take up such a great amount of space on the phone?) But it wasn't in my videos app as downloaded. I was missing 3 - 3.5 GB of space. There was no way to clear the cache. I tried everything (and I used to work for Apple as a highly competent iOS technical support advisor, so I DO mean everything).
In the end I decided to stop fooling with it and just erase the contents of the phone and restore to a backup.
But this is a SERIOUS bug in this system. I know "streaming movies from icloud" was a new feature with iOS 7...I hope they resolve this. Until then, I'll download movies if I want to watch them.

  • HT204053 I just purchased more storage space(10gb) for   iPAD, but when I attempted to download an app An error message appeared prompting me to buy more storage. according to my ICloud  I have 15gb available. Does anyone have any suggestions

If you are trying to download an app and get an error about not enough memory, it's talking about memory on your iPad, not in iCloud.  I don't know what you mean by purchasing more storage space for your iPad, you can't add more memory to a device.  You may have bought more memory in iCloud, but that's not going to fix your current problem.  You need to delete songs or video, or some other large files from your iPad to make room for a new download.

  • I'm having probs backing up iPhone 5 to iCloud - just sits on the backing up screen with message 'estimated time remaining....' But goes no further and doesn't back up - wifi is fine and definitely enough storage spaces. Anyone have any ideas plea

You might try a forced shutdown to begin with, hold down the top and home buttons together until the device shuts down, then restart it.
First check that your device is correctly connected to the wifi/internet (settings > wifi)
If your back up continually fails, you might try turning off back up on your mobile device (settings > iCloud > storage & backup) and then deleting the backup file from iCloud by swiping the backup file on the mobile device (settings > iCloud > storage & backup > manage…) and then turning back up on again.
If this doesn't help, try turning off some items for back up in a pattern to try to establish if your problem is being caused by specific data on your device.
Being able to back up to the cloud can be very useful, especially if you don't have access to a computer or have infrequent access to one, however unless you specifically need to use iCloud for back up, you will find backing up to iTunes significantly more convenient and possibly more reliable.

  • Does iCloud use up storage space on my MacBook too?

Does iCloud use up storage space on my MacBook too?  When I copied files from an external drive to my iCloud drive, my available space on my MacBook went from 40GB free to less than 2 GB.  I thought iCloud was separate storage where I can free up space on my MacBook.

To free up space you want to look for:
    1) files you no longer need. Omni DiskSweeper will help you see what's on the SSD.
    2) if you use iPhoto be aware that it has its own trash can. If you delete files from iPhoto you must then right click on the iPhoto trash can and select delete or the pictures remain on the hard drive.
    3) look for movies, tv shows, digital photos and music you can move to an external drive or mini-flash drive and then delete from the SSD. These are very large files so you can free up lots of space with just a few deletions. Example: my entire Documents folder is smaller than one two hour movie.

  • HT4865 I don't have enough storage space on my iPhone 4S to download the new OS7 so how do I save it to iCloud and remove it from my iPhone to make room but not loose the deleted stuff from iCloud?

I don't have enough storage space on my iPhone 4S to download the new OS7 so how do I save it to iCloud and remove it from my iPhone to make room but not loose the deleted stuff from iCloud?

You can't use iCloud like that.  It isn't a general file storage service; it's designed to sync data across your devices.
Some options are to sync all your music or other media off your device, then sync it back on after you update.  Another is to import your photos to your computer (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083), then sync them back to your phone after you update by putting them in a folder, then selecting the folder on the Photos tab of your iTunes sync settings and syncing.

  • Does iCloud drive use up hard drive storage space?

    HI,
I want to save hard drive space and use iCloud Drive to store my documents, pictures etc. I have the iCloud drive folder set up in my finder. I have been copying and pasting data in there, but it seems whenever I do; the hard drive storage space decreases.
I thought the entire point of iCloud was to use cloud storage and not offline storage; unless you download it from the cloud to your hard drive. Why am I losing hard drive space?
Any help you can offer or suggestions would be very much appreciated

    Hi FlyFalcon,
I am writing to say that I am having the problem you are worried about. I have a 121 GB MacBook with flash storage, and I am running out of room.
This is my work computer so I don't have any personal photos/music/movies stored on here. My iCloud drive has over 100 GB on it and it's driving this computer nuts! I am constantly getting the "your startup disk is full" message. As you can see from the screen shot below, it's saying I have 58.61 GB of photos on this computer, 25.84GB of movies etc...but all these files live on my personal MacBook at home.
I am paying for the $3.99 a month for 200 GB but I didn't get that iCloud would use up my HD space. So as a warning, 128 GB may not be enough for you.

  • My iPad keeps showing a message that I have run out of storage space.  I purchased more iCloud space in settings, but this message is still showing.  It also won't sync when I plug in to my computer...??

My iPad keeps showing a message that I have run out of storage space.  I have purchased more iCloud space in settings, but I am still getting this message.  I also am not able to sync my iPad in iTunes when plugging in to my computer.

The storage space is the iPad storage space, not iCloud storage space. What size Ipad do you have?
How much space is your Other using? You may be able to reduce.
How Do I Get Rid Of The “Other” Data Stored On My iPad Or iPhone?
    http://tinyurl.com/85w6xwn
With an iOS device, the “Other” space in iTunes is used to store things like documents, settings, caches, and a few other important items. If you sync lots of documents to apps like GoodReader, DropCopy, or anything else that reads external files, your storage use can skyrocket. With iOS 5, you can see exactly which applications are taking up the most space. Just head to Settings > General > Usage, and tap the button labeled Show All Apps. The storage section will show you the app and how much storage space it is taking up. Tap on the app name to get a description of the additional storage space being used by the app’s documents and data. You can remove the storage-hogging application and all of its data directly from this screen, or manually remove the data by opening the app. Some applications, especially those designed by Apple, will allow you to remove stored data by swiping from left to right on the item to reveal a Delete button.

  • TS3992 Phone running out of storage space, bought 15GB of iCloud storage...still not working

My phone was running out of storage space so my friend suggested I backup my files to iCloud. After doing this and paying for 15GB, I still am unable to take any new photos. This did not open up new space for me and it says there is still 7.7GB available. HELP. My friend who told me to do this said it worked for her and she has 25GB. My phone allowed me to take screenshots before and now I can't save anything. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Any help here?

This more than likely means you are running out of Space LOCALLY on your Device and you need to Delete Data OFF your Device...
If this is the case... Getting Additional iCloud Storage will not fix your issue.

  • ICloud & storage space on iPhone

I'm looking at purchasing the iPhone 4S. Before buying it, I want to learn more about iCloud as it will likely influence what size I buy (16, 32, 64GB). I have looked at the webpage and video but am still a little unclear about a few things:
1 - Will iCloud only store music purchased in iTunes? I have downloaded much of my music from other sources. Currently on my nano, I want to know how this will affect storage space.
2 - Will iCloud automatically keep all of my apps/downloads? Will they only store on Cloud or will they still take space on phone too?
3 - How much control do I have over what is kept on iCloud? I am currently an online student and being able to work on my course assignments from the iPhone will be great. Can I move things as I see fit or does the program determine this?
4 - Anything else I should know about storage and iCloud? I am trying to determine how much storage I need, thus affecting my cost. I want to have a better understanding of iCloud and how it may benefit my storage space.
Anyone who can offer any insight will be grealy appreciated. Thank you!

2 - If I'm getting this right: By putting the file "as is" on the iCloud we can then sync between my Macbook Pro and iPhone... Do we select/upload the files as needed or does it just copy everything?
Although the final details of iCloud have not been revealed yet, logic would indicate that you'd have control over what non-iTunes material gets sync'd to iCloud. Otherwise, if you didn't have some sort of control then every non-iTunes item on your Mac would go up to the cloud, not something everyone would want. Once iCloud is released and in use, then we'll learn more.
Also, for your university work there are other options (e.g. Dropbox, SugarSync, etc.) that let you store and edit documents in these other cloud storage services, with apps for your i-device to access and edit them.

  • How to delete backup data in icloud to free up storage space?

My iphone 4s has not been backed up in 3 weeks because it says "there is not enough iCloud storage available". Through viewing the data sizes currently backed up in iCloud, the Camera Roll is taking up 99% of the space. I deleted almost everything from the camera roll and photo stream on the actual iphone device, but what do I need to do in order for the storage space to be freed? Is there another place I need to check to delete data (i.e. photos) and regain the storage space available and resume successful backups?
    Many thanks,
    SM

So by selecting "Delete Backup" it will delete everything backed up to iCloud from other apps as well, correct? Is there anywhere I can go to view the actual data being backed up and specifically delete certain data? Without knowing exactly what has been backed up, I'm hesitant to delete everything.

  • Icloud storage space for Mac book

Will I get any extra icloud storage space , when I buy mac book pro. I am already using iPhone and ipad, so my 5GB icloud storage is almost finished. I know creating one more icloud I'd can give 5GB more , but I don't want too much ID and password.

The 5GB is tied to the account, not the devices using it, so no matter how many devices you have logged into it you still only have 5GB free for the one account. As said, you can purchase more: additional 10GB, $20 p.a., 20 GB, $40 p.a., 50GB $100 p.a.
