Icloud syn addin now makes outlook lose data...

I create an appointment in Outlook 2010then there is the sync delay and it is saved.
I then re-open it and add text to comment, the body section of the appointment.  save.
I then re-open and there is no text.
If I add the text when I create the appointment, it is there.
If I then re-open and add more text...  it will be saved and it will be there.
BUT an empty comment at creation time means you can never add text later.
Tried the same thing with the location field, there is no problem with that field.

as well...  more often than not, if you drag an appointment to a new location, it doesn't move, it goes back.  As if when you were dragging it, you dropped it.  Likewise with resizing ie making an appointment longer or shorter.  Seems the syncing just throws a wrnech in the s/w.  And why is it so slow, can't we just syn every 5 minutes in stead of instantly thus causing all these problems?
There is no sync, you are receiving a copy of data from the iCloud server and it seems that the iCloud server is not always receiving changes from your PC. Make sure that you are using (on the PC) the iCloud calendar, not the calendar in Personal Folders when entering or changing an event.

  • What is the reason make i lose data?

I using a lot global variable in main vi, to control and display some nummeric in test.vi, and display graph of test.vi.
Test.vi take the value from 2 vi: value.vi and position.vi..
Test.vi, Value.vi and Position.vi using Queue Operations functions
I want to use main vi to read the iterationof value.vi
when I use run main vi , the number indicator in main, not save with indicator in value.vi. it's only same with test.vi. And it's slower 2 time than in value.vi
But when I run only test.vi. the indicator in test.vi is almost same with in value.vi ( but it's different = 1. if indicator show in value.vi = 10, i in indicator in test
    sao 9)
    Any hint for this problem?Thx

    ha noi,
It looks like the individual components of your project are working:  the read_sensor.vi is queueing the index, the test.vi is dequeueing and writing to the shared variable, and the main VI is reading from the shared variable.  The difference in performance you are seeing between running the test.vi and running the main.vi is probably due to the amount of other code that you have running in the main VI.  Your application uses a lot of parallel loops, so it is difficult to guarantee how often different sections of code will be run.  In this case, it seems that your read_sensor.vi continually queues elements, but the test.vi is not reading elements from the queue fast enough to keep up.

  • Two Apple ID's, will I lose data when I go to iCloud given that I can only use one?

Like a lot of people (it seems), I have two Apple ID's. One which I set up when I first set up my iTunes on my mac (yahoo) and then a mobileme account which I got shortly after getting my iPhone.
My iTunes account on my Mac defaults to my yahoo Apple ID and my iPhone defaults to my mobileme Apple ID.  This hasn't caused me a problem to date as the Mac and iPhone sync without any loss of data (by sheer fluke I think!).
I would however now like to use iCloud in order that I can use the invite function on the calendar on my iPhone.  If I set up iCloud using my mobileme Apple ID will I then lose all my purchases etc from my yahoo Apple ID?
To be honest, I'm not entirely clear what iCloud does and whether I will lose any information?
Thanks so much in advance of some help from someone!

    Welcome to the Apple community.
The best thing you can do is to continue to use the same IDs with each service, and migrate your MobileMe account to an iCloud account. This way you will be able to continue to use and access all the data as you always have done.
One thing you must not do, is change the ID you use for iTunes, this will cause you to lose access to any content that you have purchased through the previous account.
If you decide to change the ID that you use for iCloud, to match the one you use for iTunes, then you are going to have to manually move all the data from one account to the other.

  • How can I make Icloud my default calendar in Outlook

I moved to ICloud and if I get an invite and accept it then it automatically defaults to my standard Outlook calendar. Is there a way of maaking the ICloud calendar my deafult calendar ?

    Unbelievable.
I've been battling this problem for months, just like thousands of other people. I check back every so often, thinking someone will discover the magic fix or that Apple will update iCloud. No joy.
Clearly Apple has no intention of allowing iCloud to sync with Outlook's normal calendar or they would have fixed it by now. I can't imagine what their motivation is, but it's preventing Outlook users from adopting iCloud.
The workaround I've used for almost a year now is to replace iCloud with Google Docs and then install the gSyncIt plug-in to Outlook. My iPhone syncs with Google Calendar and Google Contacts fairly cleanly, and Outlook syncs with them as well, so it's more or less equivalent to what iCloud should be doing.
Shame on Apple. Anyone who says iCloud syncs with Outlook has obviously never used them together.
iCloud does not sync contacts or calendars with anything, not Outlook and not iCal, it is a subscription, and (except for Outlook) it can be the default (try EMClient on Windows)
It was Microsoft's decision to make Outlook the way they did, ask them to make the changes you want, or more sensibly, use Microsoft Exchange rather than iCloud, Outlook will allow that to be the default.

  • How do you sync iCloud (contact, calendar, task) to outlook 2011 for Mac? and how do you make seemless sync between iCloud to Outlook 2011 to Blackberry device or an iPad?

I have three device: Macbook Pro (OSX 10.7.5) for work; an iPad and a Blackberry for mobile. I used mail, iCal, and Address Book combine with mobileme (iCloud) to exchange data such as contact, calendar and task from my Mackbook Pro to my iPad but never to Blackberry. The problem is my boss was asking me to change to Outlook 2011 for Mac because some of the email that I sent from Mail did not appear in my client's Blackberry. So how do you sync iCloud (contact, calendar, task) to Outlook 2011 for Mac? and how do you make seemless sync between iCloud to Outlook 2011 to Blackberry device or an iPad?

  • Will i lose data stored on icloud if i reset my iphone

Will I lose data saved in icloud if i reset my phone?

    Welcome to the Apple community.
No, all the iCloud data will remain in the cloud if you reset your phone. After reset and you log back into your iCloud account, all the data will be restored to your phone.

It seems that saving to iCloud is a default.  My Pages documents automatically save there unless I change to save to destination.  I probably just need help in setting up the cloud.  When I tried to change the setting, though, it told me that if I made the change, all data on icloud would be eliminated and i don't want that.  I would ideally like to save everything on my external HD and not bother with iCloud.  Certainly don't want to buy more storage space.  Thanks for replying so promptly.

You cannot delete an Apple ID, you can just stop using it. If your photos are still on your phone now, then I suggest you do back them up. Transfer them from the phone into your iPhoto Library. iCloud only backs up your Camera Roll automatically. But the Camera Roll only contains new photos that were taken but not yet transferred using iTunes.

  • Has anyone managed to get icloud to synchronise properly with outlook calendar?

I have an iphone 5 and am running outlook 2010 on windows 7 32 bit.
I can get icloud to do the intial upoload of the calendar but then after that it won't synchronise new calendar entries.
The phone and icloud syc, but icloud won't sync with outlook whether the entry is put in outlook or in icloud.
I have spoken with Apple support and over many weeks have de-installed and re-installed icloud several times.
I have sent various diagnostiocs and screen shots.
The icloud outlook addin does not appear in the outlook add-ins section, although I can see what might be the add-in sitting on the c drive in the apple folder.
Support have also told me that there is no way to download the icloud add-in seperately.
Apple support are now telling me that I need to de-install and re-install outlook to try and get the add-in to install correctly.
That would be a real pain and I can see on this forum that other people have already tried that without success.
They also say that if that doesn't work I will need to completely re-install the OS.
I don't think they know what the problem is and are just trying anything that might work.
I really don't want to lose all my business data from outlook and certainly don't want to trash my whole PC.
Has anyone any idea where the problem might be?
    Many thanks

Do I gather by the lack of answers that nobody has?

  • ICloud calendar syncing with MS Outlook issue

    Greetings,
I am not sure what happened but a message appeared within iTunes asking if I wanted to sync Outlook with the iCloud calendar.  In the process all of my Outlook calendar entries were removed and I can't figure out how to get them back.  Now I am trying to figure out how to sync the iCloud calendar back up with the Outlook calendar.  I have looked but can't find anything that will answer the question.  I would greatly appreciate some assistance on what the trick is.
    Thank you.
    Joe

After turning off iCloud, I would reload the Outlook backup file. That should recover all of your Outlook data. I would assume that you have Outlook set to either backup or autoarchive on a regular basis. After that you can see about turning iCloud back on. I would also believe that syncing the iCloud calendar and Outlook would be the same as doing it with an empty iPhone calendar and Outlook, you need to make sure there is a unique calendar event in iCloud that does not exist in Outlook to ensure you get a merge option. Not sure since I do not use iCloud, however you should be able to find information here http://www.apple.com/icloud/
