ICloud sync with iTunes doesn't work

Hello, I upgraded to iTunes 10.5 and iOS 5 on both my iphone 4 and iPad 2; I can sync contacts/calendar etc. between the two mobile devices, but changes on my PC won't be pushed to the iCloud.
Furthermore, when trying to sync to iTunes by WiFi, my PC isn't recognized on either mobile device; of course, everything is connected to WiFi, and the mobile devices are connected to power.
Any idea?

After upgrade iPhone 6, iPad Air to IOS 8.3, the sync (over wifi, as well) to iTunes doesn't work anymore.
On iMAC iTunes, the last sync's hour and day appear different from what is recorded on mobile devices (iPhone and iPad); with IOS 8.2 and the previous iTunes' version the sync worked correctly: the dates are the same only for few seconds after syncronization, then the IOS devices show the syncronization's dates related to two weeks ago.

Wifi Sync with iTunes has stopped working

I have a MacBook Pro running on 10.7.2 and have iTunes 10.5.
My iPhone 4 has recently stopped wifi sync with iTunes on my MacBook Pro , the device only shows in Itunes when i sync via the cable.
I have reinstalled iTunes 10.5 on my Mac and have restored my I phone's software and firmware to no avail.
Does anyone have an answer??

Do you have the ACE Mega CoDecS pack installed? I saw that as the problem somewhere, and uninstalled it and that took care of the problem. I had just re-installed before having that problem and had every single codec installed rather than just installing a certain filter that I was needing and it was affecting Quicktime, which in turn was affecting iTunes.

I reinstalled latest Itunes completly but still sync with outlook 2007 does not work.
Itunes says Sync finished, but nothing is synced.

*I just spoke with two different senior advisors from Apple one whose name was Matt and the other whose name was Zachary. They both were extremely rude and were not helpful at all. I explained the same exact scenario to them about how I just updated to iTunes 9.1.1 and that now my iPhone will not sync.*
The ONLY help they could give me was to purchase a plan for either 29.99 or 69.99
The reason no one from Apple will help us is because this company is based on greed. I am sure they knew about this bug that prevents thousands of users from syncing but I am also sure they assumed that we would pay the 29.99 or 69.99 for them to fix the problem. I honestly feel as though this is a scam to make more profit off of us.
There is absolutely NOTHING they can do to help they said except for me to purchase one of those two plans they offer. My question is WHY THE **** SHOULD I PAY FOR SOMETHING THAT I AM NOT AT FAULT FOR? It should be there moral duty and responsibility to fix this bug yet because they know they will profit from it they have no intentions on doing so. The only thing I can really suggest is calling Apple and telling them how you feel. The more people who voice there opinions the better (just be prepared for them to tell you the ONLY thing they can do to fix the problem THEY created is by making YOU pay more money to fix it).
I am extremely disappointed as a loyal Apple customer and this has seriously made me reconsider ever buying another Apple product.
This company is morally and ethically wrong.

Trouble syncing with itunes on new work computer

i have changed jobs and want to sync my iphone with itunes on my new computer but the prompt tells me it will wipe out all info on the iphone. How do I make my new computer my primary itunes account?

You should be able to:
Backup the device to the new installation
Transfer your purchases into a newly authorized library
Recover any other media using third party tools as suggested in this post from forum regular Zevoneer
Restore the device from the backup
This process should switch the association of the device to the new library, preserving the data and settings in your apps.
May also be prudent to attempt a backup to iCloud directly from the device before you start... Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup > iCloud Backup > On. It won't save any media but it would preserve the general account settings and documents in case anything goes wrong while you are trying to extract your other data.
When you get it all fixed, make a backup!

Enabling VoiceOver after restoring your iPhone with iTunes doesn't work

Yesterday, I was having a problem with my iPhone 3GS and successfully got it resolved by restoring it with iTunes 10.2. Everything went fine. However, after restoring it, I went to set up the device as new (after backing up the iPhone before restoring of course). Since I am blind, I then went and attempted to select VoiceOver under the "configure universal access" section. This is where I ran into the problem. When I selected Voiceover and then hit the ok button, I got a message that said something like "VoiceOver changes the way you use the iPhone jestures. Do you want to continue." I hit continue , and then tabbed to the ok button again. At this point I was brought right back to the dialog box about continuing and realized after several attempts to get out of that screen that I was flat out stuck. Because of the fact that I am totally blind, and not say "legally blind" there was no way I was going to be able to enable VoiceOver on my own. I ended up having to disconnect the iPhone from the computer and have one of my roommates enable voiceover on the iPhone for me. But I keep wondering what happened. I mean it was scary for me, because what if my roommate hadn't been around. I would've had a non functioning iPhone (to me.) Has anyone else had this problem, or would there be anyone who'd be willing to follow the steps that I did (preferably if you have sight) to see if you can get past this screen? If not, then this is a major iTunes bug that Apple needs to know about. Note that I am using a Windows desktop with Vista 32 bit operating system, and JAWS for Windows, (running the latest update of version 12.) Any help/comments would be appreciated. Thanks. Josh

My nano cannot be formatted and says restore with iTunes - doesn't work

Hi,
I have a number of problems with the new nano.
It worked fine until I updated it (which I never did in the beginning). I formatted it like suggested here with the HP USB... and is was perfectly fine. I reset it like suggested, but when I plugged it in again to load the music from iTunes, it didn't show up.
The ipod showed in my computer so I formatted it there again as also suggested here, but it couldn't finish formatting and since then all I get is a screen that says 'restore ipod in itunes' in four languages.
Unfortunately I can't see it in itunes so I can't restore it, I can't show it in My computer, because it says that the device is not formatted.
I re-installed all the software a couple of times, but nothing works. The updated cannot see the ipod or says: this ipod is not covered by this software...
I am absolutly desperate, especially as I sit here in Germany, but the ipod was purchased in the US, so no way of bringing it back to the store quickly.
Any advice someone?

Syncing with iCal doesn't work

When I try to sync my iPod with iCal it says that my iPod is synchronised and all the music appears there but no calendar entries or To Do list. Any suggestions?

Open iphoto, click on iphoto at the top and then choose preferences.
Bottom of box says connecting camera opens - you need to select iphoto.

Strange though, I downloaded an app directly to my iPod and when I connected it to my laptop again (for recharging if nothing else), iTunes updated itself by including the new app. I also tried syncing wirelessly. Also unsuccessful. I'm about ready to change to an alternate to iTunes if I can't get this situation fixed. Anyone else have this problem and/or a solution?

However, after your remove the Apple software components also remove the iCloud Control Panel via Windows Programs and Featurs appin the Window Control Panel. Then reinstall all the Apple software components
- New cable and different USB port
- Run this and see if the results help with determine the cause

Fourth Generation iPod will not stay in Sync with iTunes

My wife has a 20GB 4th generation Ipod that she uses everyday. Every 2-3 weeks the some of the playlists will not play. When entering a the playlist it will advance through the entire list and then will go back to the main menu. This does not happen with all lists but when re-syncing with iTunes it will work for a few weeks then start again. Any Help?

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

I would like to be able to use my iCloud albums to organize my photos but if I cannot access them from apps it seems pointless. I will end up having to maintain both an iCloud library and a separate iPhoto library which is more work that seems necessary. I want everything easy to organize and access. It seems like in this age where most people are more likely to use their mobile devices than their Macs (and some do not even own Macs) that there should be a mobile solution. Hopefully I am simply without a clue and you folks can help me out with a fix or a source of info as a solution. I have not found answers yet.

The error message you're seeing is likely the other way around -- i.e. something like "This iPhone has previously been synced with a different computer". There's no problem syncing multiple iOS devices to the same computer.
However, the reverse is not true for the iPhone -- you cannot connect an iPhone to another computer without it being erased, even if you manually manage music and video. So, it sounds like you've been syncing your iPhone to a different computer?
Also, 5.1 (not 5.0.1) is the latest iOS.
