ICloud tab in Safari

Just upgraded my MacBook Pro to Mountain Lion and noticed the iCloud button in Safari. Can I just confirm that this won't show what's open on my iPhone till iOS 6?

Well, are you sure? Accord to the new issue of MacLife, iCloud tabs should be working with Mountain Lion. Why would they say that if it is not true. When does ML X come out?

  • ICloud tabs for Safari work between Mac and iPhone 5 but not iPad 3

All my devices are signed in with my same ID account. My Mac and Iphone 5 are communicating just fine but my iPad 3 is not receving or sending its iCloud tabs. Safari is enabled in the iCloud setting on the iPad and private browsing is not enabled on any device. Whats wrong?

Try going to Settings>iCloud on your iPad and turning Safari Off, then back On.

  • How may I clear iCloud tabs on Safari

How may I clear iCloud tabs? Somehow a webpage from several days ago got stuck in iCloud tabs and it won't leave.

    Good Morning, Diapason.
The information you're looking for is found in this article:
iCloud: Using and troubleshooting iCloud Tabs
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5372
    Specifically this information:
Removing Tabs from the Tab list
To remove a tab from the list of iCloud Tabs, you must close that tab in Safari on the supported device that you used to browse that website. Quitting Safari, putting your Mac to sleep, or shutting it down will not remove the tab from the list. If you no longer have access to the device that that you used to browse that tab, the tab will automatically be cleared from the list after 7 days, if not updated.
Thanks for coming to Apple Support Communities.

  • Issue icloud tab safari, iMac-iPad-iPhone

    Hi averyone,
Imac running OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.4
    Ipad 2 running iOS 6.1.3 (10B329)
    Iphone 4S running iOS 6.1.3 (10B329)
iCloud tabs in Safari (iMac AND iPad) are NOT showing pages opened on iPhone; only iPad pages for iMac, only iMac pages on iPad.
iPhone Safari however is showing pages opened on both iMac and iPad.
Please help resolve this MYSTERY. all 3 devices were iCloud resetted - OFF, reboot, then ON, multiple times.
nothing changed. Iphone is still synching only ONE way-
    Appreciate

    Hey Bruno-
Thanks for the question. The following article provides troubleshooting steps for iCloud Tabs:
iCloud: Using and troubleshooting iCloud Tabs
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5372
    1. If Safari is open, quit Safari.
              - Double-click your Home button. Your open applications will appear in a row at the bottom of your screen.
              - Find the Safari icon. Touch and hold down the icon until the icons of your open applications start shaking.
              - Tap the red circle in the upper-left corner of the Safari icon. The icon will disappear from the list.
              - Press the Home button again to return to normal operations.
    2. Tap Settings, and then tap iCloud.
    3. Tap Safari to turn it off. Tap either Keep or "Delete from My iPhone" when asked if you want to delete synced data.
    4. Press the Home button to exit Settings, and wait about one minute.
    5. Tap Settings, and then tap iCloud.
    6. Tap Safari to turn it on.
    7. Press the Home button.
    8. Open Safari, and test to see if the issue has been resolved.
    - Turn off, and then restart your iPhone. This may sound simple, but it does reinitialize your network and application settings and can frequently resolve issues.
    Thanks,
    Matt M.

  • ICloud tab, Safari, Mac Book Pro & iPad

iCloud tab on safari (mac book) does not show open tabs on safari (iPad). However, it working other way around i.e anything open in safari on mac book pro can be seen on safari (iPad) iCloud tab. I have OSX Mountain Loin on mac book pro and iOS6 on iPad. How can i fix it?

Without knowing anything at all about what you'll want to do with your new machine, we can't possibly advise you. I'll just suggest that since you're used to having a real computer, you're probably going to be disappointed sooner or later if you get an iPad.

  • My iCloud tabs not working in Safari on my iPad.

My iCloud tabs are missing in Safari on my iPad since my problems with the App Store yesterday.
Private Browsing is OFF on all of my devices.
I've quit Safari from the task bar.
I've turned Safari on/off in Settings>iCloud and rebooted.
I've repeated the above about 5 times.
My iPod can see my iPad tabs in the iCloud tabs in Safari but not vice versa. What gives?

    Voila!! It worked!
    Don't know why I didn't think to do that before. <slaps forehead>
If we could think of every possible scenario and fix on our own, there would be no need for a support forum.
I had a minor panic a few days ago, when my lock sounds were no longer working on my iPad. I knew that I had not changed anything at all in the settings. I rebooted my iPad twice, I played around with the volume, I checked system sounds... I was stumped. I just couldn't figure out what was wrong.
Even though I knew that I hadn't changed anything in the settings, I decided to finally go back and check anyway. Sure enough, I had Lock Sounds turned off in the Sound Settings. I have no clue how it happened, but it was turned off.
I had my own "slaps forehead" that morning and thought to myself, why didn't I just check that to begin with?
I am happy to hear that you got the situation resolved.

  • ICloud tab not showing open tabs

When I click iCloud tab in safari, it does not show open tabs on browser on pc. My pc browser is IE

    Hello vera75,
Take a look at the requirements for icloud tabs outlined here iCloud: Using and troubleshooting iCloud Tabs http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5372.
System requirements for using iCloud Tabs
    Make sure that:
Your Macs have OS X Mountain Lion and Safari 6 installed
Your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch has iOS 6 installed
Keep in mind that while iCloud Tabs is only available for Macs with OS X Mountain Lion installed, and devices with iOS 6, you can still use normal iCloud Bookmarks to sync saved Bookmarks and Reading List content between any devices that meet the iCloud system requirements.
    All the best,

  • Closed iCloud Tabs

I am having trouble with iCloud tabs for safari. On my iOS device, I am being told that I have tabs open on my Mac, even though I close each tab and window, and quit the applcation completely. Why am I still being told that I have tabs open on my Mac after I go through this process?
    Thanks!

Well, the problem solved itself, so I can't provide more details. It must have been a problem with the server OS something.

  • ICloud tabs not working on iPad

I am unable to get the iClouds tabs in Safari to work between my iPad and iPhone.  I've tried the suggested fixes that I can find and it appears it's set up correctly I have restarted both my iPhone and the iPad and I've turned off iCloud for Safari in settings>iCloud and turned it back on.
I have an iPhone 5s and an iPad 4.
    Any help/advice is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

I have discovered that my iPad 4 is somehow not storing the Safari pages to iCloud. My iPad 2 sees the pages on my iPhone 5s and vice versa.   It is obviously something with my iPad 4.

  • ICloud tabs not working in safari

They show up in Safari on my iOS devices (two ipads and iphone) and my iMac at home. But they don't on my work Macbook Air. When I click on the iCloud tabs icon it a popup box comes up with the icloud logo and the message : icloud automatically shows all the open tabs on your other devices.
iCloud is on on the macbook air, and Safari is chosen in the list.

Can you check system update? I think I did a system Update 1st, a day before installing OSX Lion and there is a Safari update. If not try logging in iCloud.

  • There is no Icloud tab on my safari

Im not sure if I have the right version, but right now I have Safari 6.0.1. On Apples website, there is a Icloud tab in the new version of safari, but I do not have that tab on my screen. Anyone know what I need to do?

On your safari tool bar right click then go to customize then drag the iCloud tabs icon to your toolbar.

  • Anyone know why the iCloud tab is missing from the iPhone in Safari?

When I open a web page from my iPhone, I can view the same page on my iPad by opening the iCloud tab, but if I open a web page from my iPad and then wish to view it on my iPhone, I am unable to because the iCloud tab is not visible on the phone when I open Safari. This was a useful feature before the "big" IOS update.

    Hello there josiewhite,
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
The way you access your iCloud Tabs is a bit different in iOS 7.
iCloud: Using and troubleshooting iCloud Tabs
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5372
If you're using iOS 7, tap the Tabs icon in the lower-right corner. Scroll to the bottom of the list, below the images of tabs open on your device. A list of open tabs on your other supported devices will appear. Tap the one you want to open.
After you tap the Tabs icon, swipe up and it should reveal the iCloud Tabs underneath the open tabs on the device.
    All the best,
    Sterling
