ICloud Tasks / Outlook Tasks

I am using iCloud for my iPhone 4S and synching with Outlook 2010 on a PC.  After much searching I understand that iCloud tasks and calendars can not be made the defaults in Outlook so therefore they will not show up in Outlook Today or the To-Do bar.  I have gotten around the appointment issue by copying my appointments from iCloud calendar to the outlook personal folder.  I want to have my tasks show up on the To Do bar by copying the tasks from the iCloud folder to the Outlook folder.  I can't find how to copy.  I can move by simply dragging from one to the other.  Does anyone know how to copy?

Press and hold the control key while dragging the task from iCloud tasks to Outlook tasks.

  • HT202297 iCloud and outlook: tasks vs reminders or both?

Okay, based on the information I've read about the labels 'tasks' and 'reminders' in iCloud and outlook.... Iif you are using both systems should I dedicate to one or the other?  I use PC outlook an iPad and iPhone and also have google and yahoo accounts. It's getting a little crazy!!

    Hi lan,
Did you find a solution for this?

  • Reminder 'notes' not being pushed from iCloud to Outlook Tasks 'notes'

    Here is my configuration:
    iPhone 4s
    iOS 6.1.3
    iCloud 2.1.2
    Windows 7 64 bit
    Office 2007 without Exchange
I've been 'synchronizing' data between my 4S and Outlook 2007 for a couple of years. I've had many many problems - too many to name, but I've invested untold hours to try to get it to work the way I need it, so I push on.  I would like someone with the same setup to please confirm that this is or isn't occurring in their environment.
I am a heavy user of MS Outlook tasks.  I really would like these on my phone too, but it needs to work correctly - not just a half baked apple solution.  The problem comes up when I am utilizing the 'note' field on a task/reminder. Usually I create a header tasks, then put detailed notes into this field (let's say grocery items for the task 'grocery list').  The problem occurs when I modify text on the note of a task on my iPhone or via the iCloud -- the changes are NOT pushed into Outlook 2007. This only occurs with the 'note' information. If I create a new reminder on my iPhone - just the header without additional notes - there is no issue; it is sent to Outlook 2007. If I add note information to an existing task via Outlook, it is passed correctly back to the iCloud/iPhone.  However, the reverse does not work. These new changes do not come into Outlook 2007. The notes for a task (iPhone reminder) between the two devices will be out of synch, until a change is made to the Outlook task's note field, which then is passed to the iPhone/iCloud.  This one way synchronization disgusts me and defeats the whole purpose.
I've disabled and then reenabled 'Mail, Contacts, Calendars, & Tasks with Outlook' via the iCloud control applet 2.1.2.  I've also signed out of it, chosen the delete local option and then signed back into the control applet to no avail.

    I have iPhone 4S

  • How can I sync my Microsoft Outlook tasks with my Ipad reminders? I dont want to use Icloud or an exchange

How can I sync my Microsoft Outlook tasks with my Ipad reminders? I dont want to use Icloud or an exchange

Plug it into your computer. Tell it to sync with "this computer" instead of iCloud. You shouldn't have to remove any apps. Otherwise, you can save the app data by using i-FunBox ( http://www.i-funbox.com/ ) just go to the "devices" tab and select 'user applications' and select all of your apps and tell iFunBox to "copy to pc" you're done! You have them all backed up.

  • How do you sync iCloud (contact, calendar, task) to outlook 2011 for Mac? and how do you make seemless sync between iCloud to Outlook 2011 to Blackberry device or an iPad?

I have three device: Macbook Pro (OSX 10.7.5) for work; an iPad and a Blackberry for mobile. I used mail, iCal, and Address Book combine with mobileme (iCloud) to exchange data such as contact, calendar and task from my Mackbook Pro to my iPad but never to Blackberry. The problem is my boss was asking me to change to Outlook 2011 for Mac because some of the email that I sent from Mail did not appear in my client's Blackberry. So how do you sync iCloud (contact, calendar, task) to Outlook 2011 for Mac? and how do you make seemless sync between iCloud to Outlook 2011 to Blackberry device or an iPad?
    Best regards,

  • Why can't I arrange my iCloud tasks in Outlook like I can with my standard Outlook tasks?

Normally when I want to work a task tomorrow or next week or so, I can just drag the task to the appropritate area instead of having to open up the task and manaully change the date.
This works fine for my Outlook tasks unless it's from the iCloud. Why won't my tasks from iCloud do this?
    Thanks,
    "Spooman_101"

I ended up fixing it.  Here's what I did:
    - Deleted the iCal preferences file (com.apple.ical.plist, in your library folder under your user name...not the main library folder)
    - Rebooted
That seemed to unstick this, and my system then recognized the calendar option as selected for iCloud, and iCal worked fine.

  • Reminders wont sync with my outlook tasks etc.

have updated both my ipad2 and iphone 4 to the new operating system, and was expecting reminders to work as mail and calanders have.
have is set up some thing incorrectly?

Unfortunately Tasks-to-Reminders syncing is only possible via an Exchange server or via iCloud. However syncing Tasks to Reimnders via iCloud has its own set of issues (it's not a true sync imho).
Unlike calendar, contacts, mail, and notes, you cannot sync Outlook Tasks to iOS5 Reminders via USB/iTunes.
To use iCloud to sync this one Outlook data type:
Install the iCloud Control Panel, which will also install add-on in Outlook
    Set up Reminders sync
New "iCloud" groups will automatically be created in Outlook Calendars and Tasks (even if you only choose to sync Reminders/Tasks)
I'd still love to know why Apple continues to leave only Outlook Tasks off the list of USB/iTunes sync-able things...
Here's an Apple KB article to get you started (if you want to try iCloud)

  • How the heck do I sync outlook tasks with reminders on iPhone 5c using USB?  Not at all interested in any over the air methods

Trying to sync my new iPhone 5c with outlook tasks using the USB connection and can't find any method to do this.  Due to data security I am not interested in sync'ing using any over the air method such as exchange server or iCloud.  Updated from a Blackberry to iPhone due to many recommendations but this apparent non-functionality by Apple is a major disappointment and a significant lack of capability.  Any help appriciated.

Windows still allows syncing over USB:

  • Outlook tasks completed in iOS Reminders app regenerate 'orphaned' reminders endlessly in Outlook.

Our small business runs up-to-date (iOS 8) Apple devices that sync via MS Exchange with our email, contacts, reminders, etc.
I create a task in Outlook and include a reminder. The task and reminder sync to Reminders on my iPhone and iPad. When I mark a task complete on mobile, the reminder disappears there as it should... but it regenerates the reminder in Outlook! The Outlook task is complete, but the reminder pops up at the top of the list in the Outlook reminders pop-up window. Marking it complete there is an option, but it just regenerates a new reminder. The only way to remove this 'orphan' reminder is to dismiss the reminder or delete the task.
The iOS 8 Reminders app would be very useful but for this bug. It's even better that it puts my work tasks and home tasks (we use a Mac at home so no problem there) in one place. But as it is, the app is not a time saver, but a time-waster and a source of frustration.
    Please advise!

I do not know the answerr. Ik also have same question

  • Outlook task list sync?

Is there a way that I can sync my Itouch to my outlook task list? I really need some help.

There is no a way to sync Outlook To-Dos or Notes, much to many people's chagrin, including mine. There have been many requests made to Apple for this functionality. Hopefully they will listen someday.
I have given up on Notes for now. For To-Dos, I use the Home calendar on the Touch and in Outlook for my To-Dos. It is not perfect because Outlook will not display reminders, but since my Touch is always close at hand, it works for me.
    Hope that helps.

  • My Outlook tasks disappeared, how do I recover?  I am using MS Office for Mac 2011 and software is update.

My Outlook tasks have disappeared.  Have update all software.  How can I recover or fix?

Go to the "View" option at the top of the page and then move down to "Go to" and see if Task is an option there. If it is, then select it to see whare it takes you. It may repopulate your task view, but only the trial will tell.

Hmmm. I do believe that Apple has set it up so that tasks sync in reminders in my iOS device, so that would be something to do with Apple, don't you think?

With the iPad connected to the computer, while iTunes is running, click on the iPad name on the left side under devices. Click on the Movies tab and look for Movie Rentals. You want to "Move" the films to the iPad.

Try an app called iMTasks. There is a free "test" version called iM Lite Viewer to see if it works.
