[iCloud] Transfering Content From Google/Dropbox

I'm a heavy OS X and iOS user as my list of products may suggest. Logically, I use iCloud to sync content between my devices. However, In addition to using iCloud, I also use Google Services and Dropbox.
Since iOS 8 has been released and OS X Yosemite is right around the corner, I figured it would be a good thing to migrate everything from my Google/Dropbox accounts to take advantage of the new iCloud and Continuity features. If anyone could tell me how to move Mail (From Gmail) Photos (From Google+) and Documents (From Google Drive and Dropbox) to iCloud, it would make my life so much easier.

The best thing you can do is simply use the Google request methods for removing content.
If you believe that content breaches privacy and that's somehow urgent then request an urgent removal:

If it's not urgent then there's a link on that same page for requesting the same.
You've made posts on a public site on the internet, google has come along and copied that public content, which they are entitled to do. It's not really Oracle's concern if you decide that information should be removed. Of course, if you have posted personal details such as names, address, credit card details etc. then Oracle will be quite happy to edit/remove such details from their own forum (they have before, I know for a fact) and if that information is know to exist on Google then maybe Oracle will help out (Justin will be able to give a definitive answer) by requesting the removal from google if the appriopriate google cache links are given, but I don't think they are obliged to.

Transferring content from apps to new ipad

Sorry if this is the wrong section
I jus bought a new ipad, and i was jus wondering hw to transfer those apps content from old ipad to the new ones.
The contents I was referring to was stuffs like games histories, such as the levels and achievements. (i got a game called bubble mania, and i got quite far in it, i dont wanna redo it all over again. Hahas)
As well as contents in an apps called the "ppstream". (i kinda downloaded 10+ gigabytes of movies in it, so redownloading it is quite a hassle)
I used the backup using itunes, and it does reinstalled all those apps i used, but all the apps are empty so its kinda useless.
Did i did the wrong backup? or are they any more extra steps that needed to be done?
is there any way to make a complete copy of the ipad or clone it to the new ipad?

You have to have a current backup of the old iPad before you restore the new iPad from the backup of the old iPad. Read this and see if it becomes clearer to you. You should probably transfer purchases as well so that all of your bases are covered.

Transfer purchases from the old iPad, backup the old iPad and sync one last time. Then restore the new iPad from the backup of the old one and sync with iTunes.

Transferring content from iphone?

I wanted to know if it is possible to transfer content from my iphone to my itunes library which is on a new computer, my last computer pretty much gave up on me. I have tried a few things but have had no luck, so i just wanted to know if its even possible to do without a backup. Thanks any help would be great.

You can transfer itunes purchases: File>Devices>Transfer Purchases
The iphone is not a storage/backup device.

My son has an IPod Touch and uses my apple ID to purchase and download music and movies from the Itunes store. He finally got a job and he purchased an IPhone 5 C and has his own apple ID. What is the easies way for him to transfer the contents of his IPod (that was purchased with my apple id) to his new device that has his own apple id?

iTunes and App store puechaesed are permanently tied to the AppleID used to purchase them. They can't be transfered.

Is there a way to get "user created" content from google maps on my touch?

I have tried to figure out a way to load some saved maps I have made on Google Maps on to my ipod touch but it hasn't been working. I don't see any options to load such info and when I tried to go to gmaps from the Safari browser it automatically loads the Map app...I bypassed this by sending an email with a link to the user created content but safari had trouble reading the page probably due to frames or some other inline content...There has to be a way to do this - it is a really valuable feature to have, especially since the user community has offered up their maps to the web as well.

If you're using a Mac, you can save the maps a jpg images, then transfer them to your IPT using FileMarkMaker.

Transferring content from DVR to PC

Is the Media Manager capable of transferring recorded television shows from the DVR to a PC yet, ala TiVo?
When I had TiVo, I was able to move recorded programming from the DVR to my PC via a wireless transmitter and then play the content on my PC or convert it for viewing on my iPod. It was very convenient. Is the Verizon DVR and Media Manager able to do that yet?
If not, has anyone figured out a workaround?

It is easy. Just sync it to the same computer and the first time you connected the 4G restore it using the backup from your 1G. You should be prompted for that option when you first connect it.

Transferring content from Time capsule

I backed up our computers on Time Capsule. Our Imac has crashed and I need to access the backup files from that computer ( on the Time Capsule ) How can I do it. I tried Migrating assistant but it didn't transfer my photo library. How can I access those files ?

Migration Assistant should have transferred everything (unless you omitted things).
By default, the iPhoto Library is in the Pictures folder of a home folder, but some folks move it.
Normally, Time Machine only shows the backups for the Mac it's running on, so to see the ones for a different Mac, you'll need the Browse... option, per Time Machine - Frequently Asked Question #17.
Since you're on Lion, if you have iPhoto '11 you can't browse or restore individual photos. See the pink box in FAQ #15.

Transfering content from older model to newer model

I currently use a 20 gb ipod that is almost completely filled. I am planning to get either a 30 or 60 gb model and would like to transfer my current content (stored on my computer)to the new unit. iTunes is on my computer now, and so is a USB connection. Can I do this using my current software and hardware? without having to load any of the new software, etc. In other words how can I transfer all my current content with only plugging my new unit into the current connection?

You just need to connect the new iPod. On connection it will walk you through naming the iPod etc and automatically update from your existing iTunes.

Restoring or erasing all content and settings will just turn the feature of iCloud off and not deleting from iCloud. If you want to, turn off iCloud before you go through with erasing it.

In technical support, sometimes you have to make educated guesses. I'm sorry that you were offended.
iTunes does prompt when it is going to erase a device, and the message is clear.
She said in her message that she was able to successfully sync the old ipad. This indicated to me that itunes wiping the data was not an issue, because either it had been setup at the apple store (in which case it doesn't actually wipe the ipad despite saying it will*) (*based on a single case I saw), or because the itunes media folder was migrated.
Furthermore, my solution was to tell her how to backup her ipad (by either doing it manually, or as a last resort, by deleting the corrupt backup -- that she couldn't access anyway.)
I got that last part of the instructions from the "Taking Control of your iphone" book which I found samples of when I did a google search for "corrupted backup itunes".
She marked this as a solution, so it worked for her.

I can't erase all data and content from my iPhone 4s. It says iCloud account not verified, when it only asks for my Apple ID to erase all data and content.

It's really been puzzling me, I've never logged in the Apple site on a laptop before - I have been getting the same message 'Unable to verify iCloud account' every time I try and erase all data and content from my iPhone 4s. When I go to iCloud on my laptop and sign in using my Apple ID it signs me in. These are the same log in details I am prompted for when trying to erase all data/content from the phone. If anybody could point me in the direction that would be really appreciated. Thanks

Yes, I recently changed my Apple ID password - around 2 weeks ago when I bought the phone.
Does anyone know if you need to do the IOS update to be able to restore all data and content? I have not installed the new update on either of my iPhone 4S's yet.
The phone I am trying to reset was sold to me by a friend and when it was it had already been reset and it was on the language selection screen.
