Icloud with firefox and the auto-log-in

Hi there, I use the firefox browser with my windows 7 PC
and I have the problem, the the auto-logg in won´t work anymore.
Therefore I used the "keep me logged in" option at the start-up off icloud, but it won´t work... Any ideas?

"Remember me" options are stored in cookies. First try removing the cookies for the site and then log in and see if it remembers you the next time you visit the site. Details of how to do that are shown in the [[deleting cookies]] article.
If that does not work, the file that stores cookies may be corrupt and you can try deleting the file to see if that resolves the problem.
# Open your profile folder, for details of how to find it see the [[profiles]] article
# Close Firefox
# Delete or rename cookies.sqlite
# Re-start Firefox and see if it will remember login details

What's Up with Firefox and the way it displays sites?

Just wondering what is going on with Firefox? My site looks fine in both Safari and Google Chrome, however when I look at it in Firefox for some reason two of my links are covered up by the contact box that I have at the bottom of the navigation bar.
In Firefox both the Events and Blog links are covered by this box, but are fine in Safari and Google Chrome, as you will see.

I gave up on Firefox a good while back and now use Chrome more and more.
I downloaded the latest V 3.6.13 of Firefox a couple of days ago and it doesn't seem much better. Having said that I haven't looked at V 4 beta at all. It might be worth your while trying your site in that version to see if the cause of the problem is something they may be trying to fix.
I was trying an experiment putting the code for several single music players into one HTML Snippet and discovered that Firefox chops the bottom off and I had to add a line or two of code to force it to expand downwards.

Updated without my permission, and now doesnt work. I'm fed up with firefox and I'm not going to use it again.

When I opened Firefox, I found it automatically updating and trying to see if my add-ons could be updated. After I cancelled this because I didn't want this to happen, nothing is loading. It is not an internet connection issue because I am using Internet Explorer. I am sick of all the crashes and nonsense with Firefox and the constant badgering to update, when I DO NOT WANT TO. I am happy with the version I have and last time I updated I found it almost impossible to go back. Going to switch to Google Chrome

Thanks for the reply.I deleted an app to try your suggestion but as I can't download I have now lost that ap.I don't have it in 'purchased apps' now either as I downloaded it from my iTunes backup from my ipad 2 and that is not showing up any of my purchased apps either.This is a nightmare.Guess I'll have to go back into my iMac and try another backup but then I'll be back to square one.

No, iOS does not do short term incremental back ups to iCloud such as you get with Time Capsule.It backs up when you do soo manually, or if set properly, when the device is plugged in and connected to WiFi. It will not have saved your changes as of 10 minutes prior.

For no apparent reason, my email will not autofill addresses. I have no problem on IE, Chrome or Opera. This problem just started with firefox within the last 24 hours. My mail server is AT&T/Yahoo, and I use webmail - not a mail program.

With all other browsers, when I compose an email, once I start to put the recipient's name in the To box, it will autofill the name if it is in my Contacts. I am using a HP Laptop NOT mobile device. Every time I try to go into my YAHOO bookmarks it asks me to sign in which I do to no avail. AT&T came to the conclusion it may be that Firefox and Yahoo are not working together. I just downloaded both the latest versions of Firefox and the yahoo toolbar again to no avail. It's really up to you how often you want to clear history. If you have a large hard drive, Firefox may save history for a year or more...

A botched install on a Mac (to do with importing a profile) means that Firefox won't open on the grounds that the application is 'already open'. Tried removing everything I can find to do with Firefox and re-installed but no success. Any suggestions?

I have gone though all the libraries and preferences I can find and removed everything to do with Firefox and Mozilla - it was the first install of Firefox on this drive.

Do a clean (re)install:
* Download a fresh Firefox copy from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.
* It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.

You might want to consider getting rid of that '''desktopsmiley''' program that has messed up your UserAgent, it is known as Malware.

Make sure you don't have any notes that have no content or subject or this can prevent syncing with Outlook. If you do, delete them.
If you don't, try unchecking "Mail,Contacts,Calendars & Tasks with Outlook" on the iCloud control panel for Windows, choose Delete at the prompt (the data will still be in iCloud), restart your PC, then go back and check this setting again. (Your iCloud data will reappear in Outlook after a brief delay as it redownloads.)
Then create a new note on one of your iOS devices and see if it appears in the Notes folder in Outlook mail after a few minutes.

I can't see the bar which contains play, stop button on Youtube. Help me!!! Just happen with firefox and chrome after install DivX and I had removed DivX.

I had installed DivX and it includes DivX Web player but, when i remove it, the problem happend. When I click on a video, the bar which contains play, stop... buttons is there. But when the video nearly play, it disapears. The problem just happen with Firefox and Chrome, but it doesn't mean with IE. To clear cache and cookies do the following:
#Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
#Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
#Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
#From the details list, check ''Cache'' and ''Cookies'' and uncheck everything else.
#Now click the ''Clear now'' button.

When using Firefox and Bing, auto search suggestions will not populate even though all options for it are enabled.

If I try to perform a search using Firefox as my browser, and Bing as my search engine, auto suggestions will not populate. I can use other search engines with Firefox and they work, and I can use Bing in other browsers and it works.

If you have security software (antivirus, firewall etc.) installed, you can try deleting all existing instances of Firefox and its related processes/files in all the different configuration modules/areas of the security software like process monitoring, sub/spawned process control, virtualization, HIPS etc., in addition to the security software's main configuration panel. Instead create new fully allowed/trusted rules for Firefox + its related processes in all the different modules/panels - a genuine/original Firefox installer as well as all the installed EXEs (Application) and DLLs (Application extension) are digitally signed by Mozilla Corporation (right-click > Properties > Digital Signatures). Even otherwise, some security software may also ask again when Firefox and/or its sub processes are started, and you may be able to allow/trust at that time. I was updating Firefox from version 6 to version 7, after updating I tried to open Firefox and the message I got is this: This application has failed to start because xul.dll was not found. How can I fix this?

I was updating Firefox to the newest version 7.0.1 from version 6.0.2 I think it was, I clicked the restart Firefox button that always comes up after updating. It started updating and then Firefox never restarted like it was supposed to after it was done updating. I then tried to open Firefox and it told me "This application has failed to start because xul.dll was not found." I did have Firefox crash on maybe about 30 minutes or so earlier which bothered me because I have been using Firefox for years and never had it crash on me before but I didn't think much of it at the time it happened because I was able to go back onto Firefox and finish what I had been working on. A while later I checked for updates and updated. The first time I tried to update it didn't work though so I had to shutdown Firefox and reopen Firefox and start the update a second time. It was after the second time that when I tried to open Firefox I got that message about failing to start because xul.dll can't be found. I filed a crash report when my Firefox crashed. This would have been around 1am-2am in the morning that Firefox first crashed and then wouldn't allow me to open it after updating. I have a DELL laptop running the Windows XP operating system but the laptop is probably at least 6 or 7 years old. The laptop will no longer charge so I always have to have it plugged into an outlet. Both my laptop hard drive and my external hard drive give me messages that I am running out of disk space on my hard drive. I bought this laptop 6 or 7 years ago second hand so it could be even older. In short it's a piece of crap and it gives me all kinds of issues but I currently can't afford a new one, but I have never had any problems with Firefox and I use Firefox more than any other aspect of my laptop so it's really really bothering me. May you please help me fix it?

I tried to uninstall and it said I couldn't because the file is corrupt or something, but I think I finally got it uninstalled and/or deleted or whatever, but now I try to reinstall/download it again from the beginning and I can't. My daughter has had her Razr for about 9 months now. About two weeks ago she picked up her phone in the morning on her way to school when she noticed two cracks, both starting at the camera lens. One goes completely to the bottom and the other goes sharply to the side. She has never dropped it and me and my husband went over it with a fine tooth comb. We looked under a magnifying glass and could no find any reason for the glass to crack. Not one ding, scratch or bang. Our daughter really takes good care of her stuff, but we still wanted to make sure before we sent it in for repairs. Well we did and we got a reply from Motorola with a picture of the cracks saying this was customer abuse and that it is not covered under warranty. Even though they did not find any physical damage to back it up. Well I e-mailed them back and told them I did a little research and found pages of people having the same problems. Well I did not hear from them until I received a notice from Fed Ex that they were sending the phone back. NOT FIXED!!! I went to look up why and guess what there is no case open any more for the phone. It has been wiped clean. I put in the RMA # it comes back not found, I put in the ID #, the SN# and all comes back not found. Yet a day earlier all the info was there. I know there is a lot more people like me and all of you, but they just don't want to be bothered so they pay to have it fix, just to have it do it again. Unless they have found the problem and only fixing it on a customer pay only set up. I am furious and will not be recommending this phone to anyone. And to think I was considering this phone for my next up grade! NOT!!!!
