ICloud won't let me add my new iCloud e-mail to my old .me account as an alias?

I have recently created a new iCloud account as I have changed my maiden name. I have an old .me account which I am trying to add the new iCloud address to as an alias, so I keep getting my old e-mails but through the newly named iCloud account.
When I go to add the new iCloud account as an alias to the .me account in the preferences in iCloud it says 'this alias is not available' but it obviously is because i am using it to sign in to my new account and post this message? Screenshots attached to help.
Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong or could be going wrong? I think it might be confused with accounts but can't be sure!

I'm afraid you can't do this. You are in effect trying to place one Apple ID within another Apple ID. Once iCloud address has been created using one Apple ID and iCloud account it can't be moved in any way to another iCloud account.
What you can do is to set up forwarding from the new iCloud account to the old one. Go to http://www.icloud.com , go to the Mail page, click the cogwheel icon at bottom left, and in the General tab of the pane which opens use the 'Forwarding' section to forward your messages on.
Note however that you probably won't be able to use the new account's address as the 'From' address when sending from the old one - I'm not sure about that: you certainly can't do that with a non-Apple address but the question of doing it in your situation doesn't normally arise, so you will have to experiment.

Mail won't let me add a new email account

I have 4 email accounts in Mail and for some reason it will not let me add another new account. I have tried file>add new account and also the + sign within preferences>accounts. Any ideas what may be the problem?

I'm having exactly the same problem, but this wasn't the case the last time I added an account a few months ago - might this be as a result of a recent update?

Pages 5.0 won't let me add a new page to a 13 page document.

Since updating to Pages 5.0, I have not been able to add anymore pages to a 13 page document I am working on for an art project. The document uses original photographs as a background and a text box over them for the text. In the "Insert" drop down box in the tool bar, everything is grayed out. The program will also not let me copy and paste any of the previous pages so I can't even add a new page that way. I've also just looked to see if there were any restrictions on the file on the "Get Info" menu from the Finder, it still had the file as anyone can read and write to the file, so it can't be that either. I was wondering if anyone else has had a similar issue, and if so, how they managed to work around it?

Sorry to be "that guy", but i've done that without an issue, I can now add pages by copying previous ones, but now Pages 4.3 groups a new page which is blank, with page 13. It also adds a the copy of the last page below the two that get grouped together. So basically, I end up with 2 copys of page 13, and the original.

Reminders won't let me add a new list

Yesterday, most of my contacts were wiped from my phone. Luckily, I had all these contacts saved on my Mac through iCloud, so i sent them to myself (my phone) and then saved to my contacts on my phone. Today, I realized that it also wiped my notes and reminders from my phone, but not on my Mac. I'm clicking "New List +" on my phone, I am clicking the plus button to add a new list, but nothing is happening. I tried turning my phone off and on, I cleared everything from my background apps, I went to settings>iCloud, and then I turned Reminders off and then on to see if that would help, but nothing worked. I deleted all the lists I could from my Mac and then added one to see if it would show up on my phone, but nothing happened. I'm not sure what to do, so someone please help me. Thank you!

Launch iTunes on your PC.
From the iTunes menu bar click iTunes > Preferences then select the Advanced tab.
Click: Reset warnings and Reset cache then click OK.
Then try changing your payment method.

RH10 suddenly won't let me add/import new images into my project

I have tried accessing the "Insert Image" option using the various methods (menu, toolbar icon, right click menu), but once the dialog box is open, I click on the browse folder to find the image that I added via Explorer, but nothing happens and the app freezes. The only thing I am able to do is close RH via the Task Manager. I have tried rebooting and also tried doing this in multiple projects to make sure it's not my main project with the problem. This same thing happens every time.
I CAN add an image that has already been imported into the project... I tried doing that then using Image Properties to bring in the newly created image... same result... freezes the app. My project is only about 50MB in size... and I probably only have 2 or 3 dozen images in it so far.
I am hoping you are not going to say uninstall and re-install because I don't have the disc with me today... working from home.
Help please.

TOTAL weirdness... so I just got into work... turned on my laptop... so i'm not working remotely... opened my project... at first i got this error:
then i continued to get a series of errors of various kinds.. finally one telling me the cpd file was corrupt... now mind you... I had to restart RH several times yesterday... also did a reboot... and didn't get any of these errors...I also tried to import an image into an older project to see if it was the project or RH.. but i had the same problem with the other project - no.. didn't try a NEW project as I was planning at your suggestion because it's working in my existing project now.
so i deleted the cpd... opened the project.. and tried to import a new image.. and BAM.. it worked like always! WHAT'S UP WITH THAT?
I don't understand what the problem could have been if this wasn't working even without VPN...
Thoughts? I'd like to avoid this issue next time I'm working from home.. which will be next week!

I am unable to access my email from iCloud on OS 10.7.4 mail. The incoming mail server is set in light gray and cannot be changed to the the recommended imap.*. It hard written as a curious po4-imap.* Is there anyone out there who can help me with this? The same thing is happening on my IMac.

Try to reset all Skype settings.
Quit Skype or use Windows Task Manager to kill any Skype.exe process. Go to Windows Start and in the Search/Run box type %appdata% and then press Enter or click the OK button. The Windows File Explorer will pop up. There locate a folder named “Skype”. Rename this folder to something different, e.g. Skype_old.
Next go to Windows Start and in the Search/Run box type %temp%\skype and then press Enter or click the OK button. Delete the DbTemp folder.
Restart Skype.
N.B. If needed, you will still be able to re-establish your call and chat history. All data is still saved in the Skype_old folder.

The 4G/iOS 6 does not have an Activation Lock. That started with iOS 7.
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

I would say that you are not connected to the iTunes library you last synced with. You can only sync with one iTunes library. If you connect the iPod to another computer/another iTunes library then you get what you see.
You can only manually manage music and videos among different libraries, not apps.

Why won't iChat let me add a new account?

I recently deleted my iChat account and I do not want to use Bonjour List. I am on the administer account and there are no other accounts created on my computer. Parental controls are also not on. ICal-all events deleted and won't let me add new HELP!!

Recently I started my iCal and all my entries were gone. Not only that, but it won't let me add new entries no matter what I do. As well, my to do list on the right is blank and the space on the left where my calendars were listed before is also blank. If I go into my computer I can find the files from iCal with the information but they aren't showing up in iCal itself.

1. Can you associate this behavior with anything that you recently installed on your computer?
2. Are you using MobileMe, or any other sync software?
3. Do you have any backups such as Time Machine, or an iCal archive?
4. What calendars do you have listed in your sources pane?
5. Have you subscribed to any calendars?
6. Do you have an iPad or iPhone?
7. Where have you found the iCal files on your computer?
8. Have you attempted to repair disk permissions?
9. Try refreshing the iCal plist file. You will find the "com.apple.iCal.plist" file in your Macintosh HD/Users/yourusername/Library/Preferences Folder. Quit iCal, and drag the .plist file to your Desktop. Then log out/in or restart.

Pretty much the the email that I used (but didn't verify) to create my iCloud account was hacked and now I can't remove it from my iCloud account due to the iCloud password also being changed by the same person and the fact I had "Find my iPhone" app on my phone also??? I had to change my iTunes email as well but that was far easier so yeah :S.
Please help. I live in NZ, out in the country, so reception is rare and so is getting into the nearest town that has an Apple Store.

If you truly change your existing Apple ID's email address to a new email address, follow these instructions: iOS 7: If you're asked for the password to your previous Apple ID when signing out of iCloud
If you created a whole new Apple Account because you couldn't access the old one after being hacked, you will need to contact the Apple Account Security Team. Apple ID: Contacting Apple for help with Apple ID account security
