The update seems to be defaulting to the United States region - which also explains why most users are not experiencing a problem with logging in to iCloud, as most users are in the USA.
However for the rest of the World, a visit to reset the Region to one's own country, in settings, fixes the bug, and one can then proceed to log in fine.
Rather exasperating [as we say here in Blighty] and not a bug we've had before, on previous updates, I think...

    The best approach would be to take the iPad to the school's IT person and see what is going wrong, why it will not accept your sign-in.  That person can make sure the userid and password are correct on the iPad.

    Remember, any purchased item from the itunes store is forever associated with the Apple ID used to buy it.  So when you get prompted for an ID/password and it doesn't accept it, then you are using the wrong ID.
    Go to Settings>iTunes and App Stores, be sure it's logged into the ID you have set on the iphone (since that one seems to be connecting with the right ID).  If you've done this, then you might wait a bit to see if the "cannot connect to .. store" message has to do with internet connections.

    How can I backup my icloud files on my ipad and iphone when icloud won't allow me to login with my new email address when I try to initiate backup. My apple i.d.was successfully changed in April 2014 but some aspects of icloud don't seem to have accepted those changes.

    If you need to change the iCloud ID on it, you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iPhone, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use.  If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

    Wow that was really quick, thank you so much.  Im not sure at all which version it was because i said it was around 4 years ago he bought it.  I know it isn't under his username, since he's a PC person (ugh) so i know its probably registered to one of our actual names.  isn't there some way to look it up since we did register it, because I'm not even sure where the disks are from when we bought it (we've moved a lot and also have two storage lockers, i know i would have kept it with other disks) but my cd rom drive is actually broken on my computer as well ( i think it got stepped on and is now squished and won't eject or run disks.)
    So is there anyway they can look up that its registered to one of our names since we did register it when we bought and installed it, or do i really have to find the disk with some sort of proof of purchase (i know there would be no receipt after all this time)
    either way, ill do what you suggested to the best of my abilities and thank you so much for answering my questions, i can't even open the program as its incompatible and find out the info from that) so I'm in a bit of a pickle and your response was so thorough and it didn't seem to be posted long enough to even write a well researched response, thanks, all the best,

    First of all, you can't sync videos to icloud as a means of storing it.  You should look at Dropbox or a similar service for this.
    As for the ID/password, you should double or triple check your entries, because if icloud doesn't accept them, then something's wrong.

    Pretty much the the email that I used (but didn't verify) to create my iCloud account was hacked and now I can't remove it from my iCloud account due to the iCloud password also being changed by the same person and the fact I had "Find my iPhone" app on my phone also??? I had to change my iTunes email as well but that was far easier so yeah :S.
    Please help. I live in NZ, out in the country, so reception is rare and so is getting into the nearest town that has an Apple Store.

    If you truly change your existing Apple ID's email address to a new email address, follow these instructions: iOS 7: If you're asked for the password to your previous Apple ID when signing out of iCloud

    Hi everybody!!
    Since Friday my msn won't let me sign in, I've clear the account history, Delete and reinstall the msn and nothing!
    But when i go to somewhere else i can log in in msn, the problem is just in my house in my mac I have no proxy or firewall on, I have a destop pc and the msn works perfectly fine there. This thing is driving me crazy.. I google everything and nothing works. Thanks in advance
