ICloud won't load My Photo Stream to PC

I had approximately 800 photos in "My Photo Stream" on my iPhone 4S with iCloud turned on. The phone was stolen and I want to ensure that I'm still going to be able to access those photos when my replacement phone arrives. However, when trying to load the photos from "My Photo Stream" to my PC, only 17 of the 800 or so actually synched to it, even though

If you have a backup of your phone in iTunes or in iCloud you should be fine - photos are stored in the backup. If you have to rely on Photo Stream however you will be out of luck. Photo Stream is rather odd in the way it works. It only keeps 30 days of photos "in the cloud", but it leaves copies on any devices that synced with it. So you would still see older photos on your devices or on any PC that synced, although the cloud only had the last 30 days. I can see how this would lead you to believe you had all those photos in iCloud, but in fact you did not .
The new iCloud Photo Library (available in beta on IOS 8.1) is much clearer - photos stay there until deleted, but it does take up iCloud storage space, when Photo Stream did not.
But hopefully you have a backup of your phone and all will be fine.

  • Why do only some of my photos load to photo stream even when taken on the same day?

Why do only some of my photos load to photo stream even when taken on the same day?

    Hello Karelyn,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

I don't see photos in My Photo Stream on my iOS device.
Ensure that the Camera app is closed on the device that took the photo. Photos will not upload from an iOS device to My Photo Stream until the Camera app is closed.
Ensure that your iOS device has not fallen below 20% battery power. To preserve battery life, Photo Stream downloading and uploading are disabled when the battery reaches this threshold. Downloading and uploading will resume once you charge your device and the battery charge is greater than 20%.
    Best of luck,
    Mario

There's no way to delete all message threads at one go. You can however do one contact thread at a time.
In Messages app where you see a list of messages from different contacts,  tap Edit (top left), tap the red (on the left), then tap the red Delete button on the right.

  • TS3989 iCloud does not show my Photo Stream

I have a 4S.  Photo Stream is turned on my phone and on iCloud, but there is no Photo Stream on iCloud.  Apple could not help me with this.  Any suggestions??

Thank you so much for your responses.  I already reset iCloud photos.  It's so strange.  I have mail, calendar, notes, reminders, find your phone, docs........ but not photos.
I want to upgrade to ver. 6.0, but I want to make sure I don't lose my pictures.
    It's just frustrating.....
    thanks again.

  • My iPad won't load videos or streams home

My iPad won't load videos or streams well when I'm home but when I'm at school it seems to work fine. Would that be a connectivity issue. If so or if not, how would I fix this?

Settings > iTunes & App Store > Apple ID: > Sign out.
    Do a reset: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1430
    Sign back in.
Make sure you have Wi-Fi connection to the Internet.

  • Photo's won't delete from Photo Stream?

So I took a picture with my iPhone 4 and I have photo stream on between my iPad 2 and my Mac Mini, so why when I delete the photo from my iPhone it doesn't delete from photo stream?

How do I delete photos from my Photo Stream in iCloud?
Individual photos cannot be deleted from your Photo Stream. You can, however, delete all the photos in your Photo Stream by clicking the Reset Photo Stream button in your account at icloud.com. The Reset Photo Stream button will instantly delete all Photo Stream photos stored in iCloud, but it will not remove any Photo Stream photos that have already been pushed to your devices."

updates all the photos (cameraroll) in iCloud or is it just photo stream when you sync? I have 5000 photos in the camera but only 800 in the stream and I would like to save them all. How to do?

Plug your iPhone into your Mac and open iPhoto. Transfer the photos from the phone to your Mac.

  • HT201317 why my apple tv 3 won't load all photos from my photo stream

I have over 500 pictures on my Photo Stream and it shows on my iPhone 4S and on iPhoto o my MacBook but on my Apple TV it only loads 10 pictures. What is going on?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Photostream in the cloud only keeps photos from the last 30 days (subject to a 1,000 photo limit). When photostream syncs the photos to your device they will stay there until deleted, which means you may well have more photos in your photostream album on your device than there are in photostream in the cloud.
The consequence of this is that if you turn photostream off and on again on your device, it will only be populated with photos from the last 30 days, which may not be all the photos that were previously in the photostream album on that device.

  • Photo stream won't load all photos in the upload folder

I added the photos I want in the Photo Stream to the upload folder. It trasnfers some (45-50 of 600), but not all. Any advice??????

Do you mean you created a shared photo stream? Did you make sure to select those photos by going to settings - screensaver on your ATV?
Also note, only a small portion of the cache is used for the screensaver (typically will hold around 100 photos)

  • HT201317 i no longer have an iphone and would like to view my saved pics on icloud from when i did. photo stream has no pics on it and my icloud storage is full. How to i veiw them please

    can anyone help

Photo stream photos only remain in iCloud for 30 days.  If it's been more than 30 days their gone now.  If it hasn't, you would have to set up iCloud on your PC as explained here: http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/pc.html, then sign into your account and enable photo stream.
Camera roll photos would be included in your iCloud backup, if you had one, but could only be access by restoring the backup to another iPhone or iPod Touch.  Also, Apple deletes backups after 180 days of inactivity.

  • Iphone 4 pictures moved to ipad via icloud Cannot delete picture in Photo Stream on Ipad

I have an iphone 4 which connects to icloud,  I take pictures with the iphone,  the icloud syncs the picture to my ipad in the Photo Stream tab on the ipad.  I cannot delete picutres on the ipad photo stream tab. or my iphone (using photos) I don't know why the pictures I cannot delete. What can I do ?

You have to delete the photos using a Mac or PC at the iCloud.com website.  It is a two step process.
    1. Go to iCloud.com. Click on your Name (upper right), then Advanced, then Reset Photo Stream.
    2. Go to your iPad/Settings/iCloud.  Turn off PhotoStream.  This will delete the photos on your iPad.
It is all or none.  You can't selectively delete phots from your PhotoStream.

  • I followed all of the steps to iCloud setup on PC and Photo Stream does not work

I have a Windows 7 PC, and an iphone 4.  I upgraded to IOS 5 and did the iCloud setup with the download Control Panel app and set it up.  However, when i take a photo with my iphone, the photo goes to my camera roll and does not go to my photo stream and there fore not to my PC photo stream folder on my PC.
So far Photo Stream does nothing.  Also, Are we supposed to be able to see our photo stream if we login to iCloud?  When logged in to iCloud, I see my contacts and mail and other stuff bu no Photo Stream.
    Am I missing something?
    Thanks,
    Jay Abbott

I figured out the answer to my question.  Photo Stream will not sync unless your iphone is connected via Wi-Fi.  Now I have to go find a Wi-Fi network to see if I am correct.  I read the maunal, wow, what a concept.
I hope this helps others who don't read the manual but complain on the forums!

  • ICloud iPhoto journals vs Shared Photo stream

In iPhoto (for iOs Only) you can create photo journals and publish them on iCloud. This is very similar to shared photo streams. However Journals give you quite a few layout options which lack for photo stream. On the other hand shared photo stream are available also on iPhoto and Aperture for OsX. Am I missing something or these two feature should be merged ?

No but there is an edit button which you select and then tap multiple photos.

  • I recently upgraded to Mt. Lion and am downloading my iphone, ipad, and iMac in icloud. Can not check Photo stream in iMac. Do my iphone photos sync to iMac

I recently upgraded to Mt.Lion 10.8.3. Am backing up icloud in iphone, ipad, and imac. In Imac, cannot check "photo stream".  How do I see my photos from iphone on my imac? and should I backup in imac icloud storage?
    Thank you.

Log into iCloud (system preferences),  launch iPhoto and Turn on PhotoStream (iPhoto preferences) and look under PhotoStream in the source list in iPhoto - if you want, turn on auto import and / or auto upload in the iPhoto preferences
