Icon at start of videos

Can anyone help me remove that little icon(animation) that runs just before videos start in captivate? This litle guy
It is ok if it appears at the start of my published items, but why does it appear in the middle of a publihed project when videos start?
Surely we then have a flash single flash file now??

This is a video preloading icon. It tells your users that your video is being downloaded and they should wait patiently. I don't think you can get rid of it by changing a setting anywhere.
Video files are always externalized in Cp since about version 5.0. That means they are NOT encapsulated inside your SWF but need to be downloaded before play.
Cp7 has made some changes in the way things work. So don't expect everything to work the same way as it did in Cp6.

Same issue here- I can airplay my amazon prime library just fine from my iphone 5 but on my macbook- (mavericks, 15 inch 2013 retina with quad core i7, nvidia 650 M and SSD) it just sputters and lags.
I have noticed web video is considerably worse than local content, giving me pauses of up to 2 or 3 seconds in which video stops but audio continues in the amazon player. Youku video, however, seems relatively stable. Our subscription speed is 25 mbps, so that should be plenty to stream SD video from Amazon and doesn't account for why it would be nice and stable from the iphone, but not the mbp.
Playing light, locally hosted steam sidescrollers like Limbo is better but gives periodic drops in framerate on the Tv. when mirroring the framerate remains steady on the MBP screen.
Games airplayed from my iphone seem relatively stable, though with a noticably lower framerate on the TV than on the phone.
It seems these issues have abated considerably since yesterday's Apple TV update, but are still curious nonetheless and I'm not sure that the update yesterday was specifically meant to address those issues or if I'm just getting a time with less network interference now.
Comcast recently installed a new router/modem/phone combo, replacing our old separate modem and router setup. I'm going to test if putting the network on a different channel helps.

When I click on the Fullscreen [ ] Icon on YouTube, the video completely stops, then goes into another desktop.

Open System Preferences > Flash Player then select the Advanced tab.
Click: Delete All under Browsing Data and Settings
Then empty the Safari cache.
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Advanced tab.
Select: Show develop menu in menu bar
Now click Develop > Empty Caches
Quit and relaunch Safari and try a video.

It sounds like you may have multiple problems, but none of them are likely to be caused by malware.
First, the internet-related issues may be related to adware or a network compromise. I tend to lean more towards the latter, based on your description of the problem. See:

If investigation shows that this is not a network-specific issue, then it's probably adware. See my Adware Removal Guide for help finding and removing it. Note that you mention AdBlock as if it should have prevented this, but it's important to understand that ad blockers do not protect you against adware in any way. Neither would any kind of anti-virus software, which often doesn't detect adware.
As for the other issues, it sounds like you've got some serious corruption. I would be inclined to say it sounds like a failing drive, except it sounds like you just got it replaced. How did you get all your files back after the new drive was installed?

And it only dawned on me a couple days ago that because this iMac does

I get to the last step but no veido or sound
I have Mac OS X version 10.7.3.
This is the steps I have found, and see work for others, but I think they're like a year old or more ...

Slow start to video playback

I have a video in H.264 format that I want to play from within a pdf file created with Acrobat 9. The pdf file and the video file reside on a CD. My problem is that the first time the movie plays, it takes 45 seconds for it to start. Thereafter it plays almost immediately, until you remove the CD, then the first time is again very slow to start.The video file is a clip that runs a couple of minutes and is about 36mb in size.
Is this normal behavior or am I doing something wrong? Unfortunately, if this is normal I will have to find an alternative because it is unacceptable.
Any suggestions?

Also, I sometimes get the following error message in VLC:
ffmpeg: more than 5 seconds of late video -> dropping frame (computer too slow ?)

Fusion-icon, improper start Solved

Hello all,
I've had this problem for a while, but it's not that big, just a little annoying.
Whenever I start fusion-icon (either as a startup entry, or after start-up) it loads incorrectly as my metacity window borders disappear and there are no compiz-effects.
I have to hit "Reload Window Manager" on the fusion-icon properties everytime I start it up.
Any idea's as to why this is (it used to start up fine a couple weeks ago), perhaps some setting I messed up?

Hmmm, I coulda swore that wasn't it, because I only learned about metacity compositing (and enabled it) after fusion-icon started acting up
However, it seems to work at least switching from metacity to compiz from the icon with metacity compositing off.
I'm gonna reboot and start fusion-icon at start up just to make sure.

A few years back, it was possible in Safari to highlight text and drag and drop it over the Safari icon to instantly start a Google or Yahoo search. That no longer seems to work. Now, I'm running Snow Leopard with the newest version of Safari. Back then, I was probably still on Tiger and whatever the current version of Safari was at the time.
Does anyone know if it's possible to restore that old feature to drag and drop text of the Safari icon to start a search?

The newly downloaded version of Adobe Flash player 11.8.800.94.0 keeps stopping and starting during video presentation. I have to keep mouse cusor moving on the screen to prevent the video stopping. The previous version I had did not have this problem. Nothing else has changed on my system. What is wrong here and how do I correct it?

everytime when I try to start a video at iTunes the programm hangs and I have to close it via task manager. Quicktime works and I also tryed to reinstall it but I have the same problem. I aslo tryed to install the older version but I had the same problem there.
It worked well before I updated it to the version 10.7. What can I do? What went wrong?

You are pressing on the app, right? Are others jiggling? There are some system apps that cannot be deleted, such as phone, calendar, ipod, etc.
