Icon for quick view in finder

I can't see the icon for quick view in the finder-bar in the Leopard? How do I turn it on?

If you go to View > Customize toolbar you can drag the quick view icon (looks like an eye) to the toolbar in the finder window.

Keep Preview for quick Viewing of PHotos rather than Photoshop

I just loaded Photoshop Elements 4.0 and am learning it. Unfortunately, for photos I may have on my desktop, everytime I want to view one by clicking on it, Photoshop elements loads which takes time. I really would prefer only the preview from Mac to use for quick viewing. I tried resetting preferences back but it did not work. any help would be greatly appreciated. have a wonderful new year.

From the finder, click on one photo to select it and then go to File/GetInfo. Scroll down slightly and look for "Open with..." You can set each photo individually to open with Preview or configure to open all documents of that type (jpg) to open with Preview (or any other app of your choice).

Would like to seek for your help, how to use (SQVI) quick viewer/SAP query to generate the listing of and can I use SQVI -quick viewer and select the data source as logical database source to generate in order to generate the listing of GL account number,GL account descrition , tax category,posting without tax allowed column in the query by company?
Between, what are the data source should I use for logical database to generate the query with listing of GL account number,GL account descrition , tax category,posting without tax allowed column in the query by company?

Thank you for the prompt reply, what I would like the query to generate is the master data GL listing for GL account,GL description,Tax category, posting without tax allowed column where i use BRF as the data source for logical database to generate the quick viewver but the BRF data source do not have the GL description.
How I can join table/join query or what are the data source should i use so that i can able to generate the query with GL master data listing by company code by display GL account,GL description,Tax category, posting without tax allowed?

Also, what the difference between SQV1 and SQ01 ?

Authorization Control for Quick Viewer

Hi,
I have create a quick viewer using table join and I notice that the authorization when I execute the program is only at table authorization level.
Question: Is quick viewer authorization be down to the field level. For example, if I join MKPF and MSEG and RESB to view stock movement with reservation information. Can quick viewer check the plant authorization object (M_MSEG_WMB) to make sure that the person execute the report is only able to view his/her own data?

I forgot to say we are on SCMSNC 7.01 and we have Purch Org available in our system. It was a custom development in 5.1, now SAP has added it as default to PO worklist/Duelist, and some other screens as extended selection criteria.
We would like to have it on QuickView selection and it looks like that it has to be custom development anyway. We had some discussion w/SAP, they might add this to future releases.

Firefox doesn't have a compatibility button like IE has. Firefox is W3C compliant as much as possible and doesn't need such a compatibility mode like IE does to make it possible to run older proprietary IE code (newer IE versions tend to be more W3C compliant).

No icon for Cover Flow in Finder

I have recently upgraded my ibook G4 to Leopard. The cover flow option with quick look in the finder is wonderful. Unfortunately, I seem to be missing the little eyeball icon in the Finder window toolbar. I can access Quick Look by hitting the space bar, but I'm wondering why the icon is missing? Did I get a defective version of Leopard?!?!?

1) That's the quicklook tool, not cover flow. Cover flow is a black rectangle with two parallel lines along each side.
2) Finder->View->Customize toolbar->drag the quicklook icon to the toolbar.

Generic document icons for applications in Simple Finder

I have an account setup with Parental Controls and using the Simple Finder. In the My Applications folder of the simple finder, all of the apps show up with the default blank document icon instead of the correct application icon. How do I fix this?

I imagine you already tried this, but just to be sure, did you change the default .tiff app in Finder? Does that change the icon? If so, what happens when you then change the default back to your app?
If the above doesn't help, what happens when you change the Bundle Name and Executable File name of your app, then set the default .tiff app to the "new" app? Not saying this is practical if you've already distributed your app, but it might help to know the result.

In Internet Explorer under File, It had an option SEND TO DESKTOP which I used all the time when I wanted to keep an Icon for quick reference. Is there anything similar in Firefox?

I guess I said it all in my question above. I would like to know how to add different options to the menu.

Quick View not working in Finder

Quick View in Finder is not working for me. Whether I right click on an item in Finder (Word doc, pdf) or press the Space Bar, it is not working. I restarted the computer and have closed and reopened the Finder windows to no avail.
Anybody else having this problem on their MBA?
Don't know if it's pertinent, but I have had my MBA 13" for about two weeks, and I used Migration Assistant to transfer all of my stuff from a 15" MBP.

A workaround has been posted on the SugarSync forum here:

In Finder, go to the Applications folder, Right click (or Ctrl click) on SugarSync Manager application
Select Show Package Contents
In the new Finder window that opens, go to Contents/Plugins and delete SugarSyncCMPlugin.cocoa.plugin.
After deleting these files, just restart Finder (or log out and log back in to your computer)
Note: by deleting the plug-in you are disabling Finder extensions completely. You will lose overlay icons and context menus untill we fix the problem. We apologize for the inconvenience and will get an update out as soon as possible.

Word 97-2003 attachements not viewing in quick view

for some reason, my mail app (and finder) does not show a quick view for word 97-2003 attachements (the ones ending in .doc) whereas .docx and the other office 2007 attachements view perfectly. I have VM ware installed and use it for opening both types of attachements but it does not seem to prevent .docx attachements for quick view, why do the older formats not work in quickview?
