Icon is blurred

My podcast icon is blurred. What is the best configuration for an icon that is my logo

No, sorry. To clarify: If you right-click on the toolbar of any application, then select "Configure Toolbars..." you can select which buttons you have in the toolbars. There's also a button labeled "Change Icon" that allows you to customize individual button icons. No more than a month ago I was able to do this; now the button's blurred out, and I can't change some mismatched icons in my toolbar. Obviously this doesn't affect functionality at all; I'd just like some visual cohesion.
No problem. I've just checked this in konqueror and dolphin and I have the ability to change both the icon and text. It's been a while since I used 4.5 but it's there in the beta of 4.6

Blurred icons in Preview column

Low resolution images (for example icons) are blurred in Preview column since some recent osx update. It gets sharp (just like it should be) only when I resize a finder a little bit. But then when I move to another icon, it gets blurred again. Same issue on macs of my folks. Is there any chance to solve this issue?

I am a graphic designer and this icon is one of my work. When I go through a list with icons, they appear blurred on the right in Preview column section. Just like this:
But low resolution images in preview column always looked like this:
This thing has been changed in one of the last OS X updates. And it gets really annoying when I work with low resolution images/icons.
So my question is: Is this a bug? Folks around me have the same issue. How can we change it back to nice, sharp and real look?

'Fake' twitter icon appeared on screen - how do you get rid?

Hi new here but hoping someone can help,
I have a BB Curve 8520 v5 on Vodafone contract.
From yesterday an 'icon' appeared on my front screen - it is similar in appearance to the twitter icon but blurred, facing the opposite way and has a 1 by the side of it constantly. I have read all my twitter messages, I have carried out the security measures I can think of but that's not to say I have done everything! On my travels through the phone it would appear I did not have encryption enabled or other such settings.
I've tried a battery pull which hasn't helped.
The Apps I've got loaded are Twitter, Facebook, Google Maps, Bejeweled, BBHelp & Accuweather,
Can anyone shed some light on this issue please, it's driving me bonkers. Thank you

Blur internet pictures

Hi Everyone,
I have recently discovered that pictures that are in the Internet sites are quit blur. For example, even by going to the apple site and selecting your country, all of the flags icons are blur!
Has anyone else noticed that?
Any ideas how to fix it?
Is there a problem with my graphics card?

Does this happen with all pages or only some? Some web page designers have developed their pages for IE viewing and not Safari. I find the problem mainly with some banking sites.
Also check your Safari Preferences/Advanced to see if you have enabled Java/JavaScripts and plug-ins (these should all be checked) and not to block pop ups (this last one is your choice).
You might also try downloading an app called Safari Enhancer which allows you to present Safari to the web world as being something else (IE, Netscape etc) + has a load of other excellent features.
If these suggestions don't work, try downloading Firefox or Camino to see if the pages can be accessed using either of these browsers (I use Safari principally but have these other two as back up in case I can't access particular sites).

Can't get iDVD6 to work

I have Ilife08 installed on my machine and they work. I'm using imovie 6 but I can't get idvd 6 to work. I find idvd 7 takes longer and the icons are blurred. I would prefer to use idvd 6 but it will not boot. Even idvd 5 will not boot. Any ideas on how to get idvd 6 to work again.

Re: Can't get Mic to work? I'm using the Steelseries Siberias headset, with a standalone Zalman mic. I never unplugged them, I only reformatted from a cracked verion of Windows 7, to a legit version of Windows 7. The versions were actually the exact same, and now I regreat Formatting.

I've just gottren really frusterated. I'm about ready to go back down to XP just to get this to work, I use my microphone for so many different things.
I've searched this problem, it seems there are numerous people with the same problems, and I just find that sad, I've been using creative products for a long time now, and have never had a problem like this before.

What is wrong with icloud mail and how do I fix it?
I put the icloud mail login address in the browser, it brings up the login screen.
I put the login details in correctly, it says icloud has stopped responding, I always send to Apple.
It restarts and I get the right screen, below, but all of the icons are blurred out. If you hover over them they sometimes indicate what they are but won’t let me launch them.
I am using an Advent Laptop with a Celeron processor with Windows 7 and the browser is Internet Explorer 11 for Windows 7. (I know I am expecting a lot of it). All of my software is up to date.
Any ideas? I a not very techy but I'm not afraid to have a go...it communit question. Thanks fr your help.

IPhone 6 plus won't rotate to landscape - small lock with circle around it

I have an iPhone 6 plus - and I have an small icon that is a padlock with a circle around it - how do I unlock the screen orientation lock?

Can I assume that when the iPhone Screen is rotated to Landscape, and the display adjusts appropriately, users are then Swiping Up from the Bottom [now Long edge], then hitting the Lock-Unlock Icon, and the iPhone is Locked into Landscape?
If I do, as described, the Swiped Up Control Centre covers the entire screen.
When I hit the Lock-Unlock Icon a blurred image of the Display can be seen Rotating back to Portrait View.
I am being very careful to ensure that the iPhone remains horizontal during the above action.
To Close the Control Centre I have to Swipe it Downward form the Top [now Long Edge].
Now being forced to revert to using Portrait View I Swipe Up for the Bottom [now Short Edge].
When the Lock-Unlock Icon is hit a Message pops up saying the Portrait View has been Unlocked.
Clearly these actions are not producing the results expected in my case.
I would appreciate being able to use the iPhone Locked in Landscape View because of the need to view Bus Timetables very frequently.
Any suggestions as to what I may be doing wrong, or actions toward resolution will be greatly appreciated.

Something happened... need help

I was transferring music files from 4gb flash drive via usb, and when finished transferring I pushed the eject button. But, it would not eject and when I click on the flash drive icon, it said no volume drive on flash drive. Not knowing what to do, I just force plugged out the flash drive. But the icon would still not disappear and when pushed it would say no volume control on flash drive, just as same as before. So I went ahead and performed the disk repair in the utilities.
Then I opened the Finder, and more than half of the icons were blurs! Although I was able to get access to the files, the icons are Just some square shapes of blurs...
What could be wrong here...? Could I have transferred bad files? or because I force ejected my flash stick? Please help.

After posting, I tried to shut down the computer, but couldn't... And then I just tried what you suggested, but now it's back to where I began where it says The volume for "Flash Drive" could not be found.
Should I just press the power button? Could this be some kind of virus, because it seems very familiar with my pc experience...

Lagging on classic application

I just upgraded to Mac OS X 10.4.8 yesterday. I was using Mac OS X 10.2 (or 10.1... I forgot) before. I was working with MATLAB through the classic mode and everything was fine. After I upgraded I start to get some lagging everytime I run MATLAB. Also some of the icons (including the Macintosh HD icon, and the folder icon) are blurred after the upgrade. Does anybody know what might happened? Any help would be appreciated.

Many applications that need Classic can find things tougher with later versions of X, partly because Apple applies various rules more rigidly as time goes by.
If MATLAB's only problem is lagging - which sounds like you mean it runs slowly? you might try increasing its memory allocation quite a lot, by using File>Get Info on the application.
Underneath all that, though "blurred" icons suggests something more basic. in my experience anything before 10.2.8 appeared basically unstable and if I'd started from that far back and updated, as opposed to wiping the disk and starting afresh with the higher version, then I'd eriously consider backing up everything that matters to you (preferably twice) and starting again.

Problems installing Tiger onto G3 Imac - please help!

hi all.
i've tried to install tiger onto a g3 imac but i'm having some problems.
basically, once i've inserted the install dvd and restarted, the screen is either totally blank or it's very very dark and the desktop is sliding off to one side, plus the text and icons are blurred.
i checked that i didn't need to update the firmware first, and the computer said that i didn't need to.
does anyone have any idea what i can do? i don't have the original OS9 install disk any more and i'm starting to panic ...

Not to be silly but do you you have DVD capabilities? Not all G3s (mine included) have DVD drives. Is the firmware 4.1.9? What is your machines specs? Do you have enough ram, hard disk space?
I haven't read about these types of going ons, however on the Tiger OS X.4 discussion board Gulliver has an excellent check list/ decision tree.

Blurred text in icons

Hello everyone,
when I write text into icons (almost in every icons), the text appears as blurred, not sharp. There's a kind of shade.
Since the text is minuscle, the final result is not clearly readable.
I tried many fonts but the result is the same.
Does anybody know why and how to make clear text to appear ?

Altenabch has a point here.
It is something related to Clear Type optimisation, I'm using a laptop BTW.
But unfortunately the final result in the small icon is as blurred as in the drawing area.
It seems that the editor draws the characters in the bitmap area of the icon editor, and from that point the icon is just a bitmap, forgetting whatevet picture optimisation (Clear Type) might have been done.
Anyway, as already said, I'm fine with just one font (Small Font). I don't really have the need to play with fancy fonts .

Disappearing Icons/Controls in Blur Gallery and Lighting Effects Filters

About a month ago (after I downloaded Photoshop 2014 but BEFORE the most recent update); I found that the adjustable tack icon (in Field Blur) and the light icons (in Lighting Effects) have disappeared. I can still adjust their controls but they don't appear on the screen so I'm not sure where exactly they are and thus can't move them. Anyone else had this issue? This has persisted after the most recent update.

Could you please post a screenshot to illustrate the issue?
What are the Performance Preferences?
What have you done for general trouble-shooting so far (restoring Preferences after making sure all customized presets like Actions, Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved might be of special interest)?

Edit: Have you tried changing the GPU "Advanced Settings" (and restarting Photoshop, otherwise that won’t take effect)?

Icons blurred on desktop

After upgrading to OSX 10.4.3, I noticed that the icons which are on my desktop are blurred. This is especially noticeable with icons that are actually thumbnails of graphics or photos. The text portion of the icon is crystal clear. How do I get back to my nice clear icons? The text portion of the icon is crystal clear.

In case your dad prefers buttons, there is a way to move them - drag them by the button's namefield rather than by the button itself.
