Icon pic not showing in toolbar
I downloaded the InDesign trail version.
The icon picture is not showing up in the toolbar. Of course if I roll over where the pic is suppose to be the shortcut key information helps me (F, Rectangle, etc) , but still, it's nice to have a picture for each of the icons.
Also, when I type the text is not showing up either, though I did make sure that I selected black for the text color and insured that the background was not black too to insure that the text and the background are differential. I also only have one layer, so it's not that the text layer is hidden.
In addition, the gradient color is not working in Indesign CS4 too.
Hello Mr. Bob, thank ya for the advice, it worked superbly, I downloaded the 6.0.1 update and now my text, gradient, and picture icons are working superbly. God is so good, he used you as a vessel to answer my fretful prayer, I'm so happy! I think that I might go for a bike ride now and then rest my once weary head in my pillow. There is hope for me yet.

Thanksits either the presence of Share Online 4.0 or a firmware issue. the same thing happened with N78 until new firmware 20.149 rectified the problem of the thumbnails not displaying/displaying incorrectly. a new firmware should be on the horizon for N85 i'm sure

I installed acrobat 7.0 professional but an Icon does not show up on my computer desktop to enable me to log in to Acrobat....help me!!!!
What OS? Modern OSs will not support Acrobat 7.

The Airplay icon does not show on my Mac Pro, regardless that it is clicked on display. How can I do to see the Airplay Icon in order to connect my apple TV with my Mac Pro?
To check your model go to About This Mac (by clicking on the Apple icon, top left) and then select more info. If you wish to use mirroring you will need one from 2011 or later running OSX 10.8 or later. The alternative would be to use 3rd party software like Airparrot.

i have a macbook pro (almost positive that its a 2010 version) and i got mountain lion. The BIGGEST AND MAIN REASON i bought mountain lion was so that i can do airplay, allowing me to mirror image what is on my mac to my Apple TV. my whole computer is updated as far as the displays and newer features but the small airplay icon will not show up on the top of my screen. therefore, not allowing me to mirror image what is on my mac to my tv... it is connected to the same wifi as my apple tv. idk what to do. could it be because my macbook pro is a 2010? desprately looking for help...please help me with this issue

I'm on Windows 7 64 bit. iTunes 10.7 And I have a solution:
If found a thread about IPv6.
I followed the same directions on Windows 7 64 bit and it worked.
Disable IPv6 on _all_ of your IP ethernet adapters.
That includes Virtual Machines (VMWare... yes those too), including IPv6 for wireless.
Close iTunes. Start iTunes. Works. Airplay Icon is back.
It looks like All of the AirPlay devices may have to be re-setup. At the very least rebooted.
I found that I had to clompletely erase my DHCP addresses from my (non Apple) router.. and that fixed it. Finally.

In iTunes the iPhone device icon will not show up whenever I plug in a USB into my PC but the iPhone icon will show up in 'This PC' so if anyone who knows a resolution to my problem with my iTunes or PC,it would really help me.I need at least Help or some Tips.I have already tried many things to iTunes and my PC like trying to restore my PC but that do anything.Also,would it be fine if i contacted (call) Apple Support? The message icon is not showing in the drop screen of my photos where it says do you want to email, message, assign, use as waller paper etc. it used to show before and now it's not there how can I get it back?
Did this back along to mine. Plug it into itunes on your pc (or Mac) and click on the ipod icon on the left hand side. When the device options come up on the main screen, click on restore. Follow the steps and it should restore to factory settings. If you had icloud activated on the ipod all previous purchases should be in the cloud and ready to download onto the ipod afte rit has been restored to factory settings, otherwise you'll have to download them all again. Hope it helped.

AirPlay icon is not showing up on either of my ipads.
I just got Apple TV today. Was excited to use airplay and the icon does not show up on either of my iPads. I have looked through all of the troubleshooting. Everything is wirelessly connected to my same home Internet. All devices are updated, I rebooted both iPads and the router. It will work on iTunes on my desktop but not the iPads. I even turned off the fiirewall. I am super frustrated at this point for spending all of this money and it doesn't work!! Please help me if you can!!
Have you activated restrictions for the app in Settings/General/Restrictions?

My IPad 2, IPhone 3GS ans iPod no longer work with apple TV, I have 2 apple TV in my house and for he last 3 weeks the iPod was the only one we could use for appleTV now none of them works, the apple TV icon does not show up any more. Re-started everything.

RESPONSES:
1) When I set up my iMac, I did not transfer any data directly from my windows PC. I simply used the same iTunes login and account. I have access to all of the files via the "Purchased" section of the iTunes store. If I click "Download Previous Purchases" text, I can download ALL of the purchases I have ever made.
2) I have the Apple TV 2, so good news, question answered. I thought maybe it was the Apple TV 1, but it is the Black model, so bam. Good response for you. Well the whole damned reply is an awesome response, just pointing out that one piece of awesome. I stated that it was an Apple TV 2, and yet you were still good enough to figure I could be mistaken, and provide me with knowleedge just incase.
QUESTIONS:
3) So can my iMac not stream the data directly from itunes, without download? Apple TV can, but perhaps that is something among many things that maker it unique, and awesome.

I work in the computer support section for the Military. The only problem is we use Windows , lol. Well that and i've been gone for nearly 6 months on recover. I go back next month though I hope. This could be a plist corruption problem, but I'm not sure.
Sometimes, the preference list files get corrupted. You can usually just remove them and they'll get re-created. This may require you to reset certain settings. A notable exception to this is the Mail plist which actually stores the Library structure of your email accounts. Deleting the Mail plist will definitely cause lots of problems, but is recoverable.
The plist files are stored in the /Users/username/Library/Preferences/ folder. They usually have the naming convention of com.company.programname.plist.
A simple troubleshooting technique is to move a suspect plist file out of the Preferences folder and start up the app, again. It will re-create the plist from scratch.
In your case, I would try the com.apple.dock.plist. You can use Activity Monitor to kill the Dock app and it will restart. Or, you can log out and log back in.
There is a new file with Leopard called com.apple.dock.db. I haven't figured out what it does, but you might try moving it out. If anything gets worse, you can move the old file back in replacing the newly created one.
This all sound somewhat odd, so I don't know if this will help. -

Basically Apple actually took away the Gallery capability we used to have with me.com when they replaced it with Photo Stream. So there is no way to see on the web, nor send a URL to friends to share the pictures like you used to be able to do with Gallery. To do that, you will need to push those photos to an external service such as Snapfish or Flickr or a social media site.

Hi, I have a mac book pro running mavericks and recently tried to connect to a 3rd gen apple tv but the airplay icon is not showing up in the top bar. I then tried my girlfriends laptop running mountain lion and it showed up straight away. Any suggestions?
How old is the MacBook Pro? AirPlay is only supported on 2011 and newer models, due to the requirements it has in hardware for graphics acceleration.
