Iconic Buttons

Hello guys,
I need to create Iconic Buttons for Oracle Forms 6i. Now I have two issues :
1) Is there a way to add text to the ICONIC BUTTON ?
2) I have modified the path in the key UI60_ICON under the Windows Registry, but forms doesn't really care, it seems like it doesn't find it. For now I have writing the whole path in the property palette of the Button, but I guess there has to be a more efficient way.

I download the zipped file from
http://forms.pjc.bean.over-blog.com/categorie-450786.html
Download the lablediconbutton.zip file
Unzip the file
Edit your /forms/server/formsweb.cfg file
Open the lablediconbutton.fmb module (Forms [32 Bit] Version 10.1.2.0.2(Production))
Compile all and run the module
But the icons do not appear at all.
Help!

  • How may I change the height of the menu bar to allow my large icons/buttons to maintain their size?

I recently updated from FF28 to FF31. Totally different UI, I get that. I waited to update until I could psych myself to try something different. I have the Default Australis Theme and Noia Fox Theme, which is designed with larger icons/buttons for those with visual needs. On my screen at the moment I have the title bar, menu bar, tab bar, and url/addon bar with the "hamburger" menu to the right. I placed icons in the menu bar, kept the home icon on the addon bar, and then there are the default icons in the menu popup. When I enable the Noia Fox Theme, the icons look great on the url/addon bar, even in the menu popup; clear, large, easy to see. However, the icons in the menu bar (not the menu popup) are less than half their original/intended size. So I switch to default Australis Theme, restart, and same issue, though not quite as dramatic since Default theme is smaller to begin with.
My thinking then is that there is a setting within the menu bar which resizes the icons/buttons to a small default size. Can this setting be changed to allow the icons to retain their original size (or close to it) and if so, how? I like the location of the menu bar on my screen, below the title bar, above the tab bar. Works nicely with the new The Fox Only Better addon which attaches to the tab bar and hides the url bar, a "new" feature for me and I'm liking it. I know I can get CTR with an additional bar, and I did try that. The issue then is that the additional bar appears below the tab bar and is not movable to above the tab bar and below the title bar.
At the moment, I have just the two themes, security addons added and The Fox Only Better. I've not added other appearance addons yet so as to keep potential conflicts/issues to a minimum. I've not tinkered with internal FF default settings other than to say don't track me (I think that's all I did). So to the best of my limited understanding, I've kept changes and customizations to a minimum. And yes, per your educated guess feature for questions posted, I am running Win 8.1 and FF 31.
I think I've offered enough detail so others can try to duplicate the issue. If not, let me know and I'll try to respond as soon as I can. Thanks so much for any help offered.

You can double the height of the menu bar area using a custom style rule. I couldn't immediately find an icon that would take advantage of the space so I'm not sure this will solve the problem, but you could try it.
The custom style rule could be as simple as:
    @namespace url(http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul);
/* double height (from 2x to 4x the 13px base font size) */
    #toolbar-menubar{
    height:4em !important;
(Result shown in the screen shot, using the preview feature of the Stylish extension.)
You can apply custom style rules to Firefox's UI using either of these methods:
    (1) Create or edit a userChrome.css file. This article has more information: http://kb.mozillazine.org/UserChrome.css
    (2) Use the Stylish extension: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/stylish/
Since I don't have this theme to test myself, if this doesn't work well, you might contact the theme author using the theme's support thread, which is on an independent forum: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=48&t=2230157

My Safari Icon ( Button) is missing on my iMac after I downloaded a update. How can I get the icon  (Button Safari) back on my desktop and connecting again to the Internet ?...
    Thanks for the help

Often when people think they've deleted an application, what's really happened is that they deleted its icon from the Dock. In the Finder, select
    Go ▹ Applications
from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-A to open the Applications folder. If the application is in that folder, drag it to the Dock (not to the Desktop or anywhere else.) The other Dock icons will move out of the way to make a place for it.

  • After I upgraded to iOS 5, my Genius icon/button disappeared. How do I get it back on my iPhone?

After I upgraded to iOS 5, my Genius icon/button disappeared when using my music player on my iPhone. I am not using iTunes Match, just ensured it's disabled. How do I get my Genius icon/button back on my iPhone? Genius is enabled in iTunes, using the latest version of iTunes on all machines. Help! Thank you!

Thanks, Huntress, but it's not in More either. I'm talking about the genius button/atom icon that used to appear in the center/top part of the screen while a song plays in the music player, like in this image (I used to be able to tap the atom icon to create a genius playlist on my iphone):
Now, when I play a song, there is no atom icon/genius button like in the following image. I've already tried tapping where it used to be and it doesn't come back.

  • Iconic Buttons in Oracle Apps 11i

    Hi,
I need to create an iconic button in one of my form. We are using Forms6i and are on apps veriosn 11.5.10. I want to use the same image as used for the 'Help' button on standard Toolbar. Where is this image file located? I tried to search for the toolbar in TEMPLATE.fmb, but couldn't find it.
Any help in this would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

At design time you see the .ICO files and at run time the .GIF files.
So, you must have the 2 versions (ICO and GIF) of the images files.

  • Edit Icon button grayed out.

When I go to edit the icon picture for some, but not all, of my Keyword Tags, the Edit Icon button is grayed out and unavailable. Did I do something incorrect when creating these Keyword Tags? Other Tags can be changed but not all of them.

No, PSE 6 and later never displays an icon for a sub-category.  If you accidentally created a sub-category where a leaf keyword tag will do, change the sub-category to a keyword tag by right-clicking it, and then you'll be able to assign an icon.  But if you change the keyword tag back to a sub-category, the icon will disappear.
None of that design seems very well thought out.

  • How to create iconic buttons in forms 10g.

I am trying to create a iconic buttons, same I am able to do it in forms 6i but not in 10g. And also please give me a proper example of java bean items in forms 10g

    dear sunny
are u able to do the iconic button on 10g forms i try but appear the icon on button I have alreay do the following
    Runtime Configuration
    1) Creating Jar file
    i) Once you are ready with your GIF files or JPG files, create a folder called ICONS. You can create this folder anywhere. For e.g. you can create ICONS folder on a C drive under root directory or as a sub-folder under any folder.
ii) Assuming you have created ICONS folder as a root folder on C drive, now copy all your GIF files in this folder.
iii) Go to the DOS prompt and enter cd\
iv) At C:\ prompt enter the following command to create Java Archive File (JAR) called my_icons
    Jar ?cvf my_icons.jar icons
(Note: If above command don't run then paste icons foled at C:\DevSuiteHome_1\jdk\bin.)
    v) Copy this file in <Forms10g_Home>\Forms\Java folder.
Please remember that having the name of the folder holding GIF/JPG files as ICONS is very important. Because if the folder name is something else, icons will not be displayed in your form at run time.
    2) Modify REGISTRY.DAT file
    i) Open this file located in <Forms10g_Home>\forms\java\oracle\forms\registry folder.
ii) Append the existing parameter default.icons.iconpath as follows:
    default.icons.iconpath=icons/
iii) If you are going to use GIF files as image files for icons, then leave the existing parameter default.icons.iconextension=gif as it is. If you want to use JPG files instead of GIF files, replace GIF with JPG as shown below:
    default.icons.iconextension=jpg
    3) Modify FORMSWEB.CFG file
This file exists under <Forms10g_Home>\Forms\Server folder.
    Append the following existing parameters:
    i) imagebase=codebase
    ii) archive_jini=frmall_jinit.jar,frmwebutil.jar,jacob .jar,my_icons.jar
After doing above configurations, create a form and place an icon on the button. Set button's icon property = Yes and give name of icon.
NOTE: This icon shoul be in jar file. If u want to add more icons in jar file then u will have to create JAR file again. Also again place it in <Forms10g_Home>\Forms\Java folder.
pls if u have any solution send me

  • Voice icon, button or image

I am looking for a modern Windows 8 stile (Metro stile) Icon, button or image of voice. Person speaking… I want it to match the rest of the app. Is there any place in Siean where I can find something like this? Does Microsoft have any
other place for all its modern stile icon and button?
Example of images I found on bing... However, they do not match the round arrow I use as Back that much.

You'll have to check out Metro Studio by SyncFusion - it's a free app that may have the icon you're wanting -

  • Displaying Iconic Button images

    Hi,
I have installed 9i Apps Server with Forms6i and have deployed an already existing application on it. The Iconic buttons are not displaying any images. Is there a patch that I need to install ? if yes, which one? Otherwise, whatelse needs to be done in order to deal with this problem ? Thanks for anyone's help in advance.

I have all the gif in the directory and the physical directory's path is defined in Registry.dat file. Still no result and I cannot get the iconic button images. Appreciate your feedback but any other suggestions.

    Hi, Vishal Agrawal
Icon size not more then square of 32. mens 32 by 32
icon path should be full path without extension or following type
    C:\icon\save
    or
    icon\savecompile and test.
    Hope this works..

  • Iconic buttons in Forms6i

    Hi All,
I want to use Iconic buttons in application built in Forms6i. For this,
I set the UI60_ICON to c:\myicons, in windows registry.
I set the ICONIC BUTTON property of button to YES.
Finally, I set the ICON FILE property of button to "myfile" without the extension ico. I tried it in properties and dynamically through Set_Item_Property as well. But it doesn't work. And when I give the static path of any icon, it appears on the button.
    Wot should I do ?
    Thanx
    Zaaf.

    Thank you Huerkamp,
Its working fine now. By the way, the documentation of Forms6i suggested the UI60_ICON for these iconic buttons.
But anyways, once again thanx a lot.
    Zaaf.

Problems with bookmarks and history not working properly can be caused by a corrupted places.sqlite database file.
You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database file in the Firefox profile folder.

  • Layout Editor crashes when loading icon for iconic button (11gR2 patch 1)

Using Forms 11gR2 Patch 1, 64 bit on Solaris 10, the Layout Editor crashes when reading the .GIF file to display an iconic button. (The workaround is not to set UI_ICON and UI_ICON_EXTENSION in the frmbld.sh script. In that case, the Layout Editor displays an empty iconic button, but at least it does not crash.)
The truss output from frmbld says,
    5078/1:          open("/usr/local/Oracle/Middleware/Oracle_FRHome1/ohs/icons/bomb.gif", O_RDONLY) = 24
    5078/1:          lseek(24, 0, SEEK_END)                    = 308

    5078/1:          siginfo: SIGSEGV SEGV_MAPERR addr=0x0000004C
(These are consecutive lines from the truss output, so it would appear that read()'ing from the bomb.gif file -- or any other .GIF file for that matter -- causes the FLTBOUNDS fault.)
The hs_err_pid*.log file in the Forms home directory says,
    # Problematic frame:
