Icons are being mysteriously deleted!

Icons (Safari, iPod, iTunes) are mysteriously dissapearing from my homescreen ever since the 2.0 update! I will admit that I was playing around with the settings, just trying to see what was new and get a feel for everything. So perhaps I deleted them somehow? But my question is...how can I get them back? I tried syncing my iPhone again but they don't re-appear...am I screwed or what? HELP!

Did you move them to another page?
From the home screen, swipe your finger from one side to the other ( left right or right left)
When you hold your finger on an icon until they begin to shake, you can then move icons to another home screen page.

Outlook 2010 hotmail calendar's reminders are being automaticly deleted

Probably after an automatic windows update session, on my laptop, my Outlook 2010’s Hotmail Calendar (connected to my mobile via MAPI) started to delete “only”
the reminder set for an event. Strangely same reminder stands active as you check the same event both the outlook.com and my mobile.
As it is being auto deleted (!) over my laptop’s Outlook it doesn’t pop the reminding sound nor show up on the reminders window as its time comes.
System: 64 bit Windows 7

Please also try to run Outlook under safe mode to avoid some AVs and add-ins.
Please also try to run some Outlook Switch to refresh the calender reminder caches, then try to create the reminder again. Switch commands as below:

/cleanroamedprefs
/cleansniff

Mail messages (inbox) on my Iphone 4S are being mysteriously moved to trash!

I recently purchased an Iphone 4S. When I open the Mail Inbox on it, messages are downloaded from my Yahoo Mail service, and according to my settings remain on the Yahoo server until my Mac Mail is used and downloads them, at which point they are deleted from the Yahoo server. With the new Iphone, if I subsequently go to that Iphone Inbox, the messages that were in my Inbox (whether read or not) are now in the Trash. It appears that the only messages that the Iphone Inbox will show are those that reside on the Yahoo server. I do not have any ICloud or other remote syncing services. Any idea how to get back to what I used to have (with my Iphone 3GS) which keeps the phone mailbox as is, and I control when to delete/move messages?

It is most definitely not terrible. Today I did not get any emails but I think it was because of your original answer of needing to activate the "Push" feature, (My GF helped with that) and now it's more of a theoretical question. I always thought/assumed, perhaps naively, that my smart phone was constantly "roaming" for data including my email, such as my Wi-Fi connected laptop and open gmail account does. I did not realize that there was a delay, or "check time", in recieving messages. Certainly not a big deal and I am hopeful and confident that this will resolve my confusion.

I have a comcast email account, and lately when I go to look at my inbox, all my old emails in the inbox have been deleted. Comcast says to contact you.

Firefox does not have any software that will filter the emails in your inbox. you should just check your email settings and disable the deletion of emails after a period of time. Don`t know how the comcast panel is but check your settings and you will surely find the solution there.

I have changed to a new computer and now find my emails are being automatically deleted every 10 days.

This if for the ones of you that are having the SMS deleting on their own.
Select Menu\Options\Satus and look at your FILE FREE and if it is below 4,000,000 bytes you need to get rid of some pictures or calls logs and turn the device off and back on and check the file free again and if it is above 4,000,000 bytes your good to go and if NOT get a Micro SD memory card no larger that 2GB and save your music/ringtones/and pictures to it

E-Mails Being Permanently Deleted from trash

iCloud mail normally moves deleted messages to the Trash and then deletes them permanently after 30 days. If you do not with them to be deleted, you can have iCloud move them to another folder instead of the Trash. See this article -

Specifically -
Change where deleted messages are stored
By default, iCloud Mail moves messages to the Trash when you delete them, and messages in the Trash are erased permanently when they’re 30 days old. If you don’t want your messages to be automatically erased after 30 days, you can have iCloud Mail move them to another folder.
Choose Preferences from the Action pop-up menu in the sidebar.
In the General pane, select “Move deleted messages to,” choose another folder from the menu, then click Done.

Issues with emails being permanently deleted on a random basis

Good Morning,
I have a user reporting that corporate wide emails (emails that go out to all users) are being randomly deleted from a shared mailbox. The emails are being shift deleted and bypassing the Deleted Items folder. This is a shared mailbox accessed by
about 7 people. I spoke to the manager and she "assured" me that no one has been deleting them. There are no Inbox rules and I have used MFCMAPI to verify that there are no hidden or stale rules. My best instincts tell me someone is deleting
the emails, but without some sort of audit trail I cannot prove it. Aside from that does anyone know what could cause this kind of behaviour
I did enable Audting on the mailbox through the Exchange Managment Shell and verfied by using Get-Mailbox (Mailbox) | FL Name, *Audit* -- I am not getting any results. I am using the following command: Search-MailboxAuditLog (mailbox) -LogonTypes

First, please check if the AutoArchive feature if enabled for this shared mailbox.
Besides, please check if these deleted emails go to the Recover Deleted Items folder.
Did you enable mailbox audit logging before the issue appeared?
I tested in my lab, created a shared mailbox and assigned full access to userA, userA login to this shared mailbox and delete an item to Deleted Items folder. After that, I searched the audit log for shared mailbox, it didn't return results. However, after
a while, I checked again and I got the output. Could you please wait for some time and check it again?
If there is still no any output, as a workaround, you can try to grant Reviewer permission of Inbox folder to those users who want to access shared mailbox instead of full access permission. Then you can check whether corporate wide emails are randomly deleted
from this shared mailbox.
You can use the following command to grant Read-Only Access to a mailbox.
Add-MailboxFolderPermission -Identity [email protected]:\Inbox -User test1 -AccessRights Reviewer

TS1702 On my iPad 2 the mail app opens and the page icons are there but no mail. I can access my mail in other ways so I know mail is being received.

iCloud emails in the Trash are deleted after 30 days on the website, and this over-rides the 'never' setting in Mail. There is no way of stopping this. (The Trash isn't really intended as a permanent storage area.)
Try this workaround. Go to http://www.icloud.com and go to the Mail page. In the sidebar, click on '+' to the right of 'Folders' to create a new folder; give it a suitable name.
Now click on the cogwheel icon at bottom left. At the bottom of the pane which opens, set the 'Move deleted messages to' drop-down menu to your new folder.
I'm not sure whether, when you delete messages in the Mail application, they will go to the Trash or your new folder - you'll need to experiment. I have a nasty feeling that Mail will simply move them to the Trash as before. If this is the case you will have to move them to your new folder manually - dragging messages directly to this folder rather than hitting the delete key will be the easiest way.

Everything that you have checked in your icloud settings will be shared between devices using the same Apple ID. If you don't want icloud to share that information, then simply turn off that process under settings > icloud

Messages are being deleted automatically

We have been using TB successfully on Windows 7 for a couple of years having previously used Outlook.
My wife's incoming e-mail messages are being deleted after one month. They are also deleted from Webmail. The ISP says that they have not been deleted by the ISP but by a 3rd party program. We noticed the problem when searching for an old message. (I just checked using an old XP-enabled computer and all the old messages are there except nothing since June 25 2014.)
I noted this morning that all of my sent messages have disappeared. For the moment at least they are still on the ISP's webmail.
I checked our TB settings regarding retention and deletion, including those of 3 addresses that don't have the problem. They all look OK.
Can somebody please advise on what our next steps should be? Many thanks.

If you had pop and now want to use imap you need to create another (new) email account in Mail.
When you start creating a new account, press the option key when you click the Continue button and you will be given the choice of creating the account for pop or imap.

Messages in Message Monitoring are being deleted?

Hi folks!
I'm facing a strage situation in our PI PRD system.
When I have to search for a message in the RWB Message Monitoring, sometimes happens that I got a specific message with its message ID, and then.. i look for it an hour later and the message isn't found anymore.. as it is being deleted or something.. the fact is I lose some messages there..
Does anybody know where can I find something about this? or where to look if they are being deleted?

The message is only persisted by the Integration Engine in case of error (as an error version). Once a message has been processed in the target system it performs an implicit database commit.

Trackstarts are being deleted when cutting a region?

Right now I'm working on a live album and it's the first time I'm working with WaveBurner. I've got several wave files of a gig which I'd like to burn onto a CD.
Everytime when I cut a region (in order to get rid of seconds of crowd noise between two songs which I don't want on the album) my track starting points are being deleted.
I think I'm doing something wrong but I can't find why... I'm working with WaveBurner 1.6.

I think I've already found the problem myself:
For some reason, the track start markers are connected to the 3rd region in the edit window. The problem with this is that (for instance) the first track start marker has a starting point of -37:14 (negative, relative to the starting point of the 3rd region.
Can anyone tell me what the point is for this feature?
