Icons are inactive - impossible to sync

When BB in connected via USB, at the BB Desktop Software, right upper corner appears " CONNECTED", at the bottom does not appear the BB PIN. I have version 5.0.1.
All the Icons are inactive so it is impossible to sync.
The BB Device manager recognize correctly the BB PIN.
I´ve already made a clean unistall and a new installation of the BB Desktop Software.
This happens with all BBs of my office in this PC, and my BB I can sync it correctly in others PC
What can I do??

Also, check that you are using only root USB ports...no hubs (sometimes the front-side ports are hubs...use a rear USB port). And make sure to try disabling USB power management in your system configuration (Device Manager).
Apologies in advance if this is redundant -- there's no way to be sure if you've already seen and tried these.

yes i tried with the layer selected, either text form or image nothing -> no reaction upon the icons. I tred by selecting an entire group nothing. Trashed all preferences files nothing. The only way to get my filter and behavior is to select one in the library tab -> icon are now fully functional!!!

Hi there,
first: I'm quite a noob. Using Ubuntu and Lubuntu for years I gave Arch a try on my laptop (IBM Thinkpad T42) and was able to get everything running - thanks to search engines .
But there's one little thing, that bothers me:
In menus the inactive icons look somehow pixelated/slobbery. I uploaded an example here: (picture #1 is how it should look like and #2 how it looks now)

The funny thing: I installed Arch on another laptop (IBM Thinkpad R40) an I'm pretty sure I didn't change anything in the installprocess - but on this machine everything looks fine. The inactive icons are pale like in screenshot #1.
I use Openbox with the ThinIce theme and Faenca icons. Graphiccard is a ATI Radeon7500 - I use the free radeon-driver. (The same config as on the other laptop). The effect also appears on other gtk-themes or icon-themes - no matter what icontheme or gtk theme i choose.
I tried to find something in LXappearance and OpenBoxConfig manager...but nothing. My .gtkrc-2.0 is generated by LXappaerance and i have not generated one by myself.
Anybody an idea?

Ok, looks like it depends on the chosen theme/engine. With Clearlooks for example everything works fine.

The date randomly changed and all app icons are white?!?

I updated my apps to their latest version and when the sync was done everything was fine, but somehow out of nowhere my date changed completely and all my app icons are white. Only apps that I did not update had their original icon. My ipod touch 2nd gen is not jailbroken. This happened once before, I updated my apps, and it went back to normal only for a few hours until it happpened again.
What is going on and how can I fix this?

Same thing happened to me! I took it into the apple store and they said its a glitch in the system and that it needed to be restored to original settings. You can do this from itunes, just don't restore from backup, set up as new.
He made a list of the apps I had to make sure he could download them again for me. It shouldnt be a problem with icloud but if you dont have it, i would recommend asking someone at the apple store to do it for you so you dont lose your apps.
Also, mine was great for a while after that but I have noticed that its back to changing the date. It only happens when I let my itouch's battery die completely so I try not to but it is still annoying when it does happen.

On my ipad, some of my purchased apps icons are missing. The app store indicates that the apps were purchased so i cannot install them again. How do I get the icons back?

- Are the apps missing or are the icons white?
- If missing have yu tried using the Spotlight search and trying to find them?
- Have you tried downloading them on your iPad and then syncing?
- Have you tried deleting them on the computer and then syncing? That might also delete them from the iPad so you can redownal them
- Have you tried reetting the iPad?

button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

Make sure your phone is connected to the computer and iTunes is open
1. Visit Instagram.com from your computer web browser
2. Click "Download in the app store"
3. It will download and show up in your iTunes
4. Highlight and sync the app to your iPhone (note: it will not show up on your phone, even after it says syncing is complete).
5. In iTunes, select the Instagram icon and click "Remove" or "Uninstall"
6. Click Accept and Uninstall when it asks you to confirm as it will remove instagram and its data from your iPhone
7. Disconnect the phone from the computer
8. Manually reboot the phone after exiting all apps
9. Upon re-start, you will be able to access the app in the App Store, and install it

Updated to IOS 5 and app icons are missing

I upgraded last night and now some of my app icons are missing. If I do a spotlight search and find the app I can then launch the app from there but I would like to have the icon back to use rather than a workaround.

After the IOIS 5.0 update my apps weren't showing on my device until I tabbed thru several screens on the phone. The only other issue was when I did a "restore" to new , not from backup because I was issues with the update (Bugs) Did a update and my apps didn't show until I did a " File" ................Transfer Purchases from Iphone.....with the device connected to ITunes...........then Sync................ I have posted this quite a few times and some of these suggestions have worked for others in the past. See if anything works for you.
1. Tap the "waiting" icon and see if you can pause it. If it does pause, then tap it again and see if it will resume. If that works, repeat the same steps for each "waiting" icon.
2. Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
3. Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
4. If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.
5. You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again. You can also dete apps in Settings>General>Usage>Storage.
6. You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered.
7. If all else fails, download the updates or the apps in iTunes on your computer and then sync the content to your iPad.

IPod Touch app icons are missing/blank

On my sons 3rd generation iPod Touch, some of the icons of the apps are missing.
I've tried resetting/restoring the iPod, and deleting and reinstalling apps, but still some show with no (that is to say only a white, blank) icon.
The same apps, synced fro the same Mac and account, look fine on my iPhone4.
Apps seem to work fine, it's only the icon that's missing.
iOS is up to date.
Any ideas?

Did you set it up as new device without using the backup afterwards? How to back up your data and set up as a new device
The backup might contain corrupt files causing your problem.

InDesign Icons are Blank in MacOs10.10.3

On my MacBook Pro (17-inch, Early 2009--2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo)
I have uninstalled CS6 and CC14, reinstalled CC14 and still all my InDesign file icons are blank. I can use Get Info and past the icon from a file that still has one, but nothing else has worked. The InDesign install is from a package and initially it did sync with the admin account (not mine) and I think that is when the problem started. On the uninstall, I checked uninstall preferences and On the second install, I made sure Sync Settings is turned off. Anything I can do?

What do you mean with the install is from a package?
Did you install it from the original installer, which is the only way to install any Adobe Program or do you mean with package some kind from migration?

Try to double tap with three fingers on the screen to get back to normal size.
Zoom in or out: Double-tap the screen with three fingers. By default, the screen is magnified 200 percent. If you manually change the magnification (by using the tap-and-drag gesture, described below), iPod touch automatically returns to that magnification when you zoom in by double-tapping with three fingers.

'Add to' & 'On This iPod' icons are missing

I want to add my new music to my iPod but when I connect the device to my laptop the 'Add to' and 'On This iPod' icons are missing. However when I have previously added music to my iPod these icons have shown up.
Could someone please try and help me get them back..

I realize that you have playlists in your iTunes library but they are not on your iPod Classic. These playlists may need to sync to your iPod Classic. Please use the syncing steps in the attached article to assist you in syncing those playlists to you iPod.

Ipod app icons are grey

I have just received my new ipod touch 2nd generation back from apple as my other one would no longer work. Having synced my material to my new ipod. 75 % of the app icons are just grey boxes . How do i fix this please to get the icons back on the apps..any help would be greatly appreciated

Yea ipod touchs do that, there probably downloading and you unplugged it, am i right? If you have alot of music and apps it should take from 30-60 mins to reinstall them...connect it to your computer and sync purchases or connect to wifi click apps to make them stop "waiting..."
NOTE: only one app can download at a time dont click them all at once clck one and leave it alone if you use wifi.

All my desktop icons are Adobe Reader icons, can't access related files

I was trying to open a file this morning, and when a pop-menu asked what application I wanted to choose (from a list) to open it, I clicked on Adobe Reader - just as a guess. After that, just about all my desktop icons are Adobe icons, and when I click on them, the pop up menus says I can't access the file. These icons also show up on my menu of all my MS Office programs like Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
Tech support at Adobe recommended I use System Restore, but it also is now an Adobe icon, so I can't open it. If anyone can help reverse this, I'd greatly appreciate it.

This also happened to me this morning. Now all my icons are PDF symbols and Reader opens when I try to open any other program. I uninstalled Reader it and it fixed itself but when I reinstalled the program the same issue occurred.
I wanted to make PDF reader the default application when openning PDF's vs. Distiller, tinkered and broke my computer.
Any clues on how to bring everything back to normaL?
