Icons in light table view?

In light table view, some of my slides have blue triangles at the bottom right, others do not. Some have three horizontal lines in the top right, some do not.
What do these icons stand for? Do they have an interactive function? Nothing seems to happen when I click/right click.

The blue triangles in the bottom RH corner (also visible in Navigator view) indicate that you have a transition for that slide which affects the next one. The three horizontal lines in the top RH corner indicate that you have Presenter notes for this slide. And the three dots in the bottom LH corner indicate that you have builds on this slide.

Keynote '09 Light table view causes crash on Retina MacBook Pro

I just discovered a problem with Keynote '09 (V. 5.1.1, build 1034) on my MacBook Pro 15'' Retina (2.7 GHz Intel Core i7; 16 GB RAM, 1600 MHz DDR3, under Lion version 10.7.4). More often than not, when I go into "Light Table" view, Keynote suddenly crashes with a dialog box quickly flashing on and off, so rapidly that it cannot be read. The only way out of Keynote when this happens is to Force Quit. This does not happen on any of my other Macs (MB Air, iMac, older MB Pro). I suspect it has something to do with the Retina display model. Any advice?

More about my post: Actually, I since discovered the problem occurs on another computer running Snow Leopard and appears to be unique to this one Keynote document. I solved my own problem by copying the screens from the allegedly-corrupt document to a new document. There is no problem with Light Table mode in the new document. Never had this problem with Keynote before, which I've been using more than any almost any other app since 2006 in connection with my work.

Light table View error

when i swith from navigator view to lighttable view I get a error message that flashes causing the screen to flicker. I can only get out force quitting.
any ideas on the error? i'm getting on a few different presentations.

The same problem is happening to me in Keynote '09 v. 5.1. The Light Table view triggered a crash and I lost a lot of work. Shame on me for not hitting Command-S regularly to save along the way.
It might have something to do with fonts and/or formatting with shadows. I had some text that had shadows behind it, without the shadow feature being clicked in Inspector. Then when I clicked the feature in Inspector, I got a double-strength shadow. Maybe this was an error, and light table couldn't resolve it, so it chose to crash. Right now I am missing my Windows AutoRecover feature.

Gray Box Light Table View

OK, after search for some time, I have no idea why I have a gray box on the upper right corner of some of my slides in light table view (see attached photo). Anybody have an idea why this is there? Both of these slides use the same master template (title only).

OK, I figured out that the gray box in the upper right corner lets me know that there are Presenter Notes attached to that slide. The boxes also show up in Navigation View IF you select to show presenter notes.

Showing Icons in the table view column

I am using a tableview.
In that tableview first column, i want to display the status as icon_green_light, icon_red_light like that as an icon.
I am having these status values in my table...
when i am assigning that itab to this tableview it is showing the text icon_green_light instead of showing the icon...
please help me.

Keynote light table icons

Does anyone know the meaning of a white square in the upper right corner of slides in the light table view in Keynote? I know the meaning of the icons in the lower right and left, but the square in the upper right is a new one to me.

Presenter View: can't use Light Table?

Let's say I have 40 slides. I'm on slide 33, and someone raises a question for which I need to return to slide 4. So far, all I know to do is click backwards through all 29 slides, including builds. VERY clumsy, unprofessional and time-wasting. (I use my white iMac remote, paired to my MacBook Pro, late 2008).
I tried starting from Light Table, but then when I click Play, it gives me only the two-slide standard Presenter view.
Suggestions?

There is no light table view that works during a presentation. However, the Keyboard Shortcuts help page (accessed from the Help menu) explains how to invoke the Slide Switcher, which may have the functionality you need.

Why is my keynote crashing when i try to view in the light table?

My Keynote presentation crashes when I try to view it in the light table view, and the whole system has to be restarted. The file is not huge, only 54 slides, mostly graphics and video plus a little bit of text. It is under 1GB in size, which I can usually manage without issue. Has anyone else encountered this problem? Does anyone know of a solution or a workaround? I'd be so grateful for any help. Thanks!

Try this maintenance routine which has solved quite a few issues:

Close all applications

Uninstall Keynote; this must be done with an application remover tool to delete the installation properly. Appcleaner is known to work correctly for this purpose, it is free and can be downloaded from here: Appcleaner Download

empty the trash

shutdown the Mac and restart. After the start up chime, hold down the shift key until the apple logo appears
let the Mac complete the start up procedure completely, it will take longer than usual as the hard drive is being repaired

go to; Applications > Utilities > Disc Utility > First Aid > Repair Disc Permissions
when this is completed restart the Mac normally

Reinstall Keynote using the original discs or logging into the Mac App Store and installing from there.

Thumbnails in Navigator and slides in Light Table sizing?

can the thumbnails in the Navigator view be made larger and the same thing in the light table view... can these be made larger too?

Unfortunately, as far as I've been able to tell, and from what I've read online, you cannot resize the thumbnails in the Navigator window or the Light Table. Hopefully at least the Light Table view will gain this functionality in the future.

Light table in Keynote 3

In the light table view in Keynote 3 you can rearrange the order of slides. But is there any way I can reorder the slides vertically, instead of horizontally? I would like to arrange them from top to bottom in light table view.

no, there's no way to to reorder the slides vertically.
You could send feedback to Apple and request an option to arrange the slides from top to bottom.

Light Table

Switching from Navigator view to Light Table View almost brings Keynote to a standstill on my MacBook Pro - everything else runs OK. The Light Table seems to be taken a long time to "form" properly with most of the slides being blurred. Even the surrounding window is struggling to appear properly.
Is anyone else experiencing this?

I was curious. When I look in the project folder, it seems as though there are fewer photos than I recall. That is why I was attempting to move the ones from the light table back.
Do project foldders have filters that would prohibit seeing all of the photo contents?
Worse case, can I use my vault back up to restore?
Is there any way to see the contents contained in teh vault prior to retore?

Kbd command to switch views (to light table)???

Hello all,
I love Keynote, but would like to know how I can switch view modes from the keyboard, or how I can put a direct "light table" button in the tool bar.
Hasn't anyone thought of this?

How to set image size in a table view

Hi,
I've just built a small VC application showing some process chain logs in a table view. For the different status types Error, Warning and Success I show the well-known traffic light icons. But up to now I haven't found out how to set the image size in a table view (height & width field is greyed out for the table). Any ideas? Or is it just not possible?

I don't know, if it is possible, but I would say,
it's not implemented yet. Maybe you can change the picture size and use then the pictures, that might be a workaround, if you can't change the height and width in VC.

Rating filter moves images on light table into a single pile

Anyone seen this?
I have a bunch of images arranged on the light table with various star ratings. The images are arranged by number of stars into various grouping - all the 5's together etc.
When I use the filter in the browser to see only the 5's for example, the light table will show only the 5's as epxected.
When I then select unrated or better, all the rest of the images end up in a single pile on the light table.
If I filter on 3 or better, and then switch back, just the 2s and 1s end up in the pile, ie whatever is not displayed by the filter gets piled up.
Is this a bug or "feature"? If it's a feature it's very annoying, unless there is some way to "lock" the position of an image on the LT.

OK, so figured out a convoluted bodge-around:
1. Make an album of all your selects. Select all and make a new Light Table(LT) from all.
2. With LT selected, click the lock icon.
3. With LT still selected, hold down apple key, and select your album of selects (step 1). This opens this album in a separate tab, but because lock icon on LT is selected, the LT viewer area is still visible.
4. in you album of selects, type your chosen keyword search. From the resulting set, select and drag the image(s) to the LT viewer. Do this with as many keyword searches as required. When done you can optionally close the selects album tabbed browser.
5. Use LT as you normally would. You can now toggle on/off images by keyword by typing it in search field.
Any other methods I've tried crashes Aperture.
Comments anyone?
