Icons top right no stopped working

Mac had been on for a few days and the Spotlight Icon stopped responding. No spinning well, just failed to do anything when you try and click it. So booted machine and now only the outermost one works. There are 11 in total. Spotlight, account, date/time, sound, VPM, etc.
Ideas?

Killed the application and all OK now.

I can longer find the airplay icon on my iPad when I double click the home icon. It worked fine and i used it for a couple of weeks to mirror with the Apple TV and then it mysteriously disappeared. Now when I double click and slide the icons at the bottom to far left, instead of finding airplay there is an extra music icon and a music control panel. If I open up the music app, there is an airplay icon top right next to volume control which works fine with mirroring the Apple TV, which suggests to me wi-if and networks are fine. I can only mirror music however. Any ideas anyone?

T-400 Right Click stopped working.

I have a Lenovo T-400 laptop Thinkpad and the right click stopping working on both keys....top one and the lower one.
Any ideas are welcome. I had a local computer store look at it...he took it apart and cleaned the keyboard and touch pad but it still does not work.

just those two keys ,all the other keys work? you can run a test on the keyborad from the thinkvantage toolbox

i found out my prob!
here is what you do.
go to the "system preferences" on your dock.
click "software updates".
click "installed software"
if it shows something about a recent update about "EFI UPDATE, FIRMWARE, THUNDERBOLT" or anything like that, exit out of it.
go to mail.
click "mail" at the top.
click "preferences...".
find the account you are having trouble with, once you do, make sure its highlighted, then click the "-" at the bottom of the window (this will only effect that mail account, it will not effect your ical weather or not its synced thought that email account)
hit the "+" (right next to the "-") and add your accout back!
its something with that update that effected mail, i hope this works out for you, if not reply back

Unfortunately, this message is almost always an indication that the internal AirPort card on the Mac has failed and will need to be replaced. This is a job for repair shop.

Right Click stopped working on my Magic Mouse. It works on Wife's MacBook

I have a Mid-2011 21.5 iMac, 2.5 GHz., 12 GB Memory, Yosemite 10.10.1.
The Right Click stopped working on my Magic Mouse. I have tried disabling and re-enabling it in System Preferences without Success. I have tried to enable the Secondary Click to 'Click on left side' just to see if I could get the secondary click to work. All of the other functions work.
I tested it on my Wife's MacBook and it is fully functional.
Can anyone help?

Go into control panel and click on sound. Select your speakers that should show up there and have a green check mark on it. Try the configure option and see if it is just a setting. You can test some different configurations there I believe. Unfortunately I think you probably have a bad connection to the speaker and will need someone to open up the cover and see if there is a solder break or a tear in the speaker.

Being new to Mac's, I have recently bought a book, 'Mac Basics in Simple Steps', by Tom Myer. On page 18, 'The Desktop', it explains about the Macintosh HD icon in the top right hand corner of the desktop. There is an ALERT entry that states, "Never try to delete, move or eject your Macintosh HD icon. However, it is okay to rename your start-up disk to something friendlier if you like".
OOPS!!!!! Before buying the book, I had successfully removed it; where to, I no not!!! Doing so does not seem to have adversely affected my MacBook Pro in any way. Do I need to worry, is there a way to get it back?

sig; I found the Macintosh HD icon as you suggested, but when I tryed to drag it onto the desktop it would fly back to its original position in folders. I then tryed copying and pasting, but I got the following message. "You can't paste "Macintosh HD" at this location, because you can't paste an item into its self".
I had also appealed for help to SWMUG; (South Wales Mac User Group) and got the following reply, which worked a treat. This was so simple, it amazed me; so I'm posting it for others in the same boat as me.
First click on the desktop, click on Finder in the top menu, click Preferences from the drop down list, click General and tick the box next to Hard Disks, and the HD icon will re-appear.
This worked a treat for me and only took seconds to do.

Left/Right Arrows Stopped Working

Hello,
I just noticed my left and right arrow keys have stopped working. I updated my computer earlier today and when I tried to move the line cursor over, it wouldn't move. The top and bottom arrow keys work fine, but not the left and right keys.
Any ideas?

I am puzzled by the arrow icon at the top right corner of my iPad. Bluetooth, capacity used and battery condition are self-explanatory, but the arrow icon?

It's there to let you know the application you are in is using your location data.
Like if you use the Target App, it will tell you what stores are close to you.

Show Reply icon in message list stopped working

About a week ago I noticed that the curvy show reply icon in my Mail message list stopped working. This feature has worked flawlessly with my set-up since it was introduced and suddenly it's dead on all messages going way back.
I use IMAP but this has not caused problems in the past.
I tried rebuilding some of the mailboxes but it did not help. I also replied to new messages and it did not work for them either. So it's dead. Anyone got any idea how to get it working again?

Well, I repaired permissions and rebooted this morning and now all the Reply icons are working again.
If you encounter this problem, give it a try.

Magic Mouse Right Click Stopped Working

My magic mouse is acting up, the secondary right click has stopped working, if you select left click it will work but not right click.
i have changed the battereis, restarted my mac, turned the mouse on and off but no joy, the left click just wont work, any idea on how to solve it?

Have you checked your settings?
Settings > Mouse > Point & Click that Secondary click is checked?
