Icons used on the Frame 9 interface

Many of the icons used in the Frame 9 user interface are in no way visually related to what they represent. Surprising that a design-oriented company like Adobe would let them out the door. Most of the icons should be redone. (Maybe in Frame 10 they are?)
Here are some of the choice icons from Frame 9, purposely not identified here. If you learn what they represent, they can be helpful, but if you don't know them, you can be left clueless. Thank God for balloon tips.
I really doubt if I'm the only person who looks for B for bold, and I for italic, as used on many other software programs. But Frame gives us:
I can imagine the "logic" behind this, but for me this just doesn't work. Do I want T or T or T?  I wonder if I'm the only one.

Hi Bill,
I don't have Frame 9 but RoboHelp has the same (IMHO silly) TTT buttons. I managed to change the button bitmaps with Customize Toolbar; I was able to copy the bitmaps from Word and add them to RoboHelp.
A caveat; on RoboHelp 7 this actually broke something (the dropdown Styles menu if I remember correctly), so be alert for side-effects.

  • How can i change the icon next to the frame topic?

    Thanks

    I don't know.... it couldn't possibly be the JFrame's non-static setIconImage(Image img) method, could it? If you don't know what method to use, give the API a little visit (http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/docs/api/).

  • Inline dialog title icon used when the dialog is running a bound taskflow

    Hy,
    if a bounded/unbounded taskflow runs inside a dialog, in the upper left corner of the dialog a 'task_flow_definition.png/unbounded_task_flow.png' appears.
    Is there a way to replace these icons with a custom icon ?
    In oracle.adfinternal.view.faces.renderkit.rich.RichDialogService these icon url's are hardcoded. I've tried to put an 'afr' and an adf/oracle/skin/images directory under html_root or META-INF with two custom 'task_flow_definition.png/unbounded_task_flow.png': this doesn't work (the original icons from the adf-libs are displayed, but not custom icons).
    Thanks in advance for any help !

    Thanks for your response.
    I tried that and I could not get it to work. Even though I can set pageFlowScope.pageTitle dynamically, the browser window title does not refresh (I tried to refresh via PPR and full post back).
    here is my code:
    public void setPageTitle(ActionEvent actionEvent)
    RequestContext requestContext = RequestContext.getCurrentInstance();
    Map pfs = requestContext.getPageFlowScope();
    pfs.put("pageTitle","TEST 2");
    RequestContext.getCurrentInstance().addPartialTarget(this.document);
    public void setPageTitle(ActionEvent actionEvent)
    RequestContext requestContext = RequestContext.getCurrentInstance();
    Map pfs = requestContext.getPageFlowScope();
    pfs.put("pageTitle","TEST 2");
    FacesContext context = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
    String currentView = context.getViewRoot().getViewId();
    ViewHandler vh = context.getApplication().getViewHandler();
    UIViewRoot x = vh.createView(context, currentView);
    x.setViewId(currentView);
    context.setViewRoot(x);
    }

  • Framing an item using the Frame Chaeel - PS CS5

    Under Window there is Actions and one of the actions is Frame Channel. When I click Fram Chanel nothing happens but it does expand and some stuff is listed below it. Each time I double click one of the listed items again nothing happens. I was wondering what the Frame Channel was to do. Maybe it just doesn't do anything in those trial versions of Photoshop Extender.   I am using thePS Extender CS5 trial.
    Please explain the correct use of the Frame Channel,

    I finnally can frame both photos and graphics.  I even figured out how to get a colored frame.  Just choose Fill and the color will appear like the example below.  However, for the life of me I can not figure out how to get the white out of the saved item.  I did one but not sure how I did it.
    It is hard to tell since the background of this board is white but there is a large white background when I open in PS,
    The best one is this Eagle.

  • Set Icon in the Frames

    Hi,
    I would like set a Icon (Icon.gif) in the frames that not be the default setting of the cup of coffee that set the Java in the top-left corner of window.
    It's this possible? and if so, how can I do it.
    Thanks in advance!!
    Salvador Huertas.

    You set the icon (probably in the Frame constructor) with :
    setIconImage(Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit().getImage("myIcon.gif"));
    To get the image from a Jar instead, do :
    setIconImage
    (Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit()
    .getImage(getClass().
    getResource("images/myIcon.gif")));

  • How to use the frame viewer?

    I've been watching some tutorial videos and wondered how they take a frame from two clips, and put them in the frame viewer. One half of the image is from one clip, the other, another. How do I do this? Thanks.

    The frame viewer has 2 drop down menus at the lower left and right corners. The left menu has a green icon, and the right menu has a blue icon. These icons correspond with the frame boundary indicator in the frame viewer window.
    The view options that are included in the drop menus are:
    -2nd Edit Back: Displays the frame of the Out point two edits back.
    -Previous Edit: Displays the frame of the Out point one edit back.
    -Current Frame: Displays the frame corresponding to the position of the playhead in the Timeline.
    -Current w/o Filters: Displays the same frame as the Current Frame option, without filters applied to the clip.
    -Next Edit: Displays the frame of the In point one edit forward.
    -2nd Edit Forward: Displays the frame of the In point two edits forward.
    -In Point: Displays the frame corresponding to the currently defined In point of the sequence in the Timeline.
    -Out Point: Displays the frame corresponding to the currently defined Out point of the sequence in the Timeline.
    This is from pages 556 & 557 of the Final Cut Pro Users Manual.
    Hope this helps.

  • Top and bottom margins to be inside the frame and form should less cluster

    Hi All,
    In my application we have created nearly 10 regions and for each region i have created sub regions with No templates. Here are the deatils below.
    I need to display two regions side by side with borders, so what i have done is
    1. Created a region as #Region Start with No template with Display point as "Page template body (1. items below region content) and Header and footer i have
    given as <table border="1"><tr><td>
    2. Followed by region as #What with Wizard region as "Page template body(1. items below region content) and nothing given under header and fotter.
    3. Followed by reagion as #Region Middle with No template with Display point as "Page template body (1. items below region content) and Header and footer i
    have as </td><td>
    4. Followed by region as #where with Wizard region as "Page template body(1. items below region content) and nothing given under header and fotter.
    5. Folowed by region as #Region End with No template with Display point as "Page template body (1. items below region content) and Header and footer i have
    given as </td></tr><tr><td>
    Simiallry followed by rest of regions by creating dummy regions and placing the <tr> and <td> in Header and Footer.
    Now users are asking me to have insde the frame and form shoul dbe less cluster.
    Can suggestiosn on this who we need to achieve.
    Thanks,
    Anoo..

    'File' > 'Page Setup' is used to alter the page margins when you need to print the email. It is not used to create a Template email nor to change the overall theme used in the Thunderbird user interface.
    To add a theme to the overall Thunderbird window, you can choose
    * either a Windows theme via Control Panel > Personalization >Theme
    * or download a theme Add-on, there is a huge range here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/themes/
    such as : https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/balloons/?src=ss
    If you are looking to create a Template email, then you open a new Write message, design the email, enter a Subject so that you can easily locate the email and click on 'File > Save as > Template or click on Save button and choose 'Template' from the options. then the email is saved in the Templates folder. To use, you click on Templates folder and double click on the email to open in a new Write message. then compose and send as normal. The original email will be saved in Templates folder for reuse.

  • Frame-relay interface-dlci switched command

    Hi,
    I want to understand the frame-relay interface-dlci switched command on router.
    I know it is used for local switching, but what this command exectly does? is it emulating router to behave like a frame-relay switch for particular interfaces (not all interfaces)?
    To use this command router serial interface needs to be have only layer 2 information or it can use that interface for layer 3 connectivity also?
    regards

    Hi,
    Thanks for your replies...
    In FRoMPLS we use connect configuration on global configuration mode with xconnect command to configure FRoMPLS. then how frame-replay interface-dlci switched will work with FRoMPLS, will it add any additional feature to configuration? I am just trying to understand the use of this command.
    will after putting this command i will have functionality to configure L2 and L3 VLAN configuration on same interface?
    am i correct with my understanding posted in this reply as well as my initial post?

  • Working around the frame selection order issue in CS 4

    Hi guys,
    I'm trying to write a javascript in Indesign that will copy the contents of every selected text frame into the clipboard. The main problem is the selection order, since I'm using CS 4. I'm trying to work around the problem by writing the X and Y coordinates of every frame in arrays through a "for" loop, since the relevant order is always from top left to bottom right in my documents. However, I'm not sure what to do after sorting the arrays : how could I tell the program to use first the frame with the coordinates closest to 0, then the next, etc. ? So far I have this :
    var LesX = new Array();
    var LesY = new Array();
    var Blocs = app.selection;
    for (var i = 0; i < Blocs.length; i++) {
    var myBounds = Blocs[i].geometricBounds;
    var X = myBounds[1];
    var Y = myBounds[0];
    LesX.push(X);
    LesY.push(Y);
    LesX.sort(sortnum);
    Thanks a lot for your help!
    Ma

    Ths is not a good approach. your LesX array will be something like [90, 50, 30, 60, 20] before the sort. And after the sort it will be [20, 30, 50, 60, 90]. But that will not tell you how to find the object whose X value is 20.
    I would write it like this:
    function byYX(a,b) {
        var
            aY = a.geometricBounds[0],
            bY = b.geometricBounds[0],
            aX = a.geometricBounds[1],
            bX = b.geometricBounds[1],
            dy = bY-aY,
            dx = bX-aX;
        return dy?dy:dx;
    var blocs = app.selection;
    blocs.sort(byYX);

  • How can I change (or select) what is being being used when I share, as the file cover. When I Share lets say "Master File" i want to select a frame that is used as the file cover. So when its on my desktop I see this image as the file icon.

    How can I change (or select) what is being being used when I share, as the file cover. When I Share lets say "Master File" i want to select a frame that is used as the file cover. So when its on my desktop I see this image as the file icon.

    I don't think Finder does this (I've tried).
    iTunes does though. Where you can set artwork or the "poster frame"...
    This may not be what you want but if it helps, I know 2 ways  do this is
    Open the video in QuicktimePlayer7 | View | Set Poster Frame (even then, you might need to save it as .mov (ie in a 'mov container').
    Drag the file into iTunes and set the artwork (as in http://www.dummies.com/how-to/content/adding-album-cover-art-or-images-in-itunes .html)
    From there, iTunes will use that frame as the "poster frame" ie the photo/frame that shows when you browse your videos. Which is what you want, but limited to iTunes.
    When I do either of these above, the frame I set does not show when exploring files in "Finder" (or in the other Explorer tool I use called "Pathfinder").
    So it maybe, that exactly what you want, is not possible.

  • In the FCE browser the frame of the video on the icon is missing

    When using the option to automatically create subclips using DV start/stop detection, the frame of the video is missing in the icon that is created. How do I get that fame in there.
    Cheers,
    Robert

    USe the set poster frame function, either manually with the icon and hand scrub tool or in the viewer with the Mark menu or the keyboard shortcut.

  • How do I remove the coffee-cup icon in Windows's frames?

    Hi Java developers!!!
    I'd like to know if there's a way I can remove that small icon at the upper-left corner of an AWT Frame that
    appears on every window under Windows. As far as I know, there are licensing restrictions that won't let me
    distribute any program that use these copyright-protected icons/images in any program unless Sun
    explicitly tells me so. Ideas anyone?

    (Sorry for my bad english, I'm from Costa Rica.)
    Ok, let me explain it. Frame.setIconImage() gets rid of the coffee-cup icon in the frame, so that the old icon is
    not visible again in the application, thus it's not infringing any Sun-imposed copyrights on it's usage. That works
    when the application is run under Windows, and possibly other OSes. However, Windows is my only current
    development platform, and I don't know how my application will really look on other OSes, as
    Linux/Solaris/MacOS/etc., and I'm actually worried about if other Sun-proprietary icons/images will appear in my
    application when opened within these OSes, besides the coffee-cup icon. Should I be worried, or not?
    Again, thanks for your quick response!
