IControl has bugs since the last OS update
I've been using iControl from m-audio for the last 2 years without any problems, but since I made the latest system update the icontrol goes crazy for no apparent reason. Tracks get soloed or muted without me touching the track buttons. Is there something I can do?

Are the items you want to search for checked in Spotlight Search - Settings>General>Spotlight Search> make sure there is a check mark against all the items you want to include in any search.

For 2 years I've been using a website that I order my products through. One of the buttons is my '''account''', the other is the '''catalogue '''(many others besides those - but those are the ones I use frequently).
After the last FireFox update (3.6.15) - suddenly the "'''catalogue'''" button disappeared. I thought it was a problem with the company site, but when they accessed my account (using an older version of FireFox) - the catalogue button showed up.
I've tried clearing my cache and restarting firefox - multiple times. No dice. Can't get it to come back.

If you have increased the minimum font size then try the default setting 'none'.

My iphone has crashed since the last software update
I have an iphone 2g I think, is there a way to tell?
But anyway it was working fine before I updated it with the lastest iphone software update and now the iphone has completely crashed. I connected it with the USB cable and it said Apple mobile device (recovery mode) tries to install the hardware and doesn't. So I unplug the iphone and try again and the same thing happens. Third time, the computer doesn't even recognize there is anything connected. On the screen of my iphone is a picture of the USB cable and the itunes logo telling me to connect but I can't.
I have tried many things to get it working, like download the driver, check if the USB apple connection is there. And from what I can see its all there but it still doesn't recognize my iphone or connection.
Any ideas? I have only had this iphone for a few months and can't understand how a apple software update can ultimately crash there products.

You are right the Iphone is locked into the carrier softbank from Japan and its not the 3g model its the one before it, I am not sure what model.
If your iPhone is not the 3G model - it is the one before that, this means your iPhone is the first generation iPhone or the original iPhone, which WAS NOT sold officially by Apple in Japan. The first generation iPhone was sold officially by Apple in the U.S. as carrier locked with AT&T, in the UK as carrier locked with O2, in Germany as carrier locked with T-Mobile, and in France as carrier locked with Orange and as officially unlocked by Orange. The ONLY country where the first generation was sold as officially unlocked was in France, which is required by French law.
The original iPhone - the one before the 3G was not sold by Apple in Japan directly or through Softbank.
Did you purchase your iPhone from Softbank or from an Apple store in Japan ? If so, this would also mean your iPhone is carrier locked with Softbank since the iPhone is sold in Japan officially as carrier locked with Softbank only, and this would be the 3G or 3GS, not the original iPhone. This would also mean you are roaming internationally with Softbank with your iPhone in China. If you are using a SIM card from a carrier in China with your iPhone, your iPhone has been hacked to be unlocked unless you purchased your iPhone from an unofficial source in Japan which was sold originally as new officially in France as officially unlocked by the carrier Orange in France.
Is your iPhone is carrier locked with Softbank in Japan, are you paying Softbank international roaming fees while using your iPhone in China? -
Macbook, Snow Leopard 10.6.8. Safari 5.1.1
Since the last software update, Safari will not save bookmarks history.
Prefs. are set correctly, Cache has been dumped, reset done, appropriate .plist trashed, and finally an uninstall and clean install done
with 5.1.1 download from the Apple support site.
The problem still exists, making me very suspicious that this is a bug.

I have iphone 4 and the software is ios 7.0.2. I am facing problems with my phone. Since the last software update my phone has started giving problems. like it hangs sometime when i recieve an incoming call. The carrier status bar shifts down a bit and sometimes it vanishes automatically. I,m confused.
Secondly i have an update IOS 7.0.4 waiting in my Software Update menu. I have tried so many times to update my iphone but it always fails to update the IOS 7.0.4. Any body suggest anything regarding thisWow. Lots of help. Thanks apple

Since the last IOS update, I still can't drag distribution lists from my contacts to my email. Apple has been absolutely no help, in spite of contacting them 5 times on this subject. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.

Since the last automatic update (approx. one week ago) my Firefox has been running slow as molasses and I keep getting a "refresh" box popping up when the pages get hung up (very often)
What can I do to correct this? I clean my cache out at least once daily - most days more. Virus scan says I'm clear of viruses - Glary Utilities tells me that all changes to my registry have been fixed (sneaky apps trying to get in) I'm going crazy because I am used to my FF being fast! HELP!!!If you have problems with updating then best is to download the full version and uninstall the currently installed version.
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.

* Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.

Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder] and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox. -
Since the last AppleTV update I can no longer use home sharing. I have checked all IDs, re-booted iTunes, my router, and AppleTV, and checked the port settings in my firewall. nothing works. Is it me or did this last update really scew things up?

I'm now more than convinced that this is caused by the latest iTunes version.
As some others stated in other threads .... it seems that Apple doesn't really take care of this problem. So what if, if we could make them feeling the same pain as we do. ... Just by dropping them a mail as soon as we have the problem again. Not more often, we don't want to be unfair, but everytime it happens.

Since the last update to iTunes Version 10.6.1 (7) streaming content (Movies and TV shows) to Apple TVs and iPads has two major problems:
- Home Sharing is lost during streaming (streaming stops even if a large portion of the content is already preloaded)
- streaming stops and the main screen pops up (Home Sharing still available)
This happens sometime after some minutes, sometimes after several hours, but it surely happens.
I followed every advice I could found on this support website. There are now a lot of threads following this issue.
Sometimes it seems getting better, but hours later the same isues occured again. Watching content on this enviroment is a real pain and very frustrating.
As many others I'm now convinced that the latest update of iTunes caused this problem.
Our family enviroment contains the following Apple products:
- iTunes on a Win7 32 bit Noname PC (all content)
- second iTunes on a iMac with OS 10.6.8 (all content)
- third iTunes on a MacBook Pro with OS 10.6.8 (daughter, only selected content)
- fourth iTunes on a Win7 32 Samsung Notebook (son, only selected content)
- all iTunes sharing the same Home Sharing ID
- 2 Apple TV second generation
- 1 Apple TV first generation
- 2 iPod touch (bought last year)
- 2 iPads (second generation)
all firmware or software are on latest available patchlevel.
At this moment, I can not recomend to others to buy this products.
I will drop this feedback everytime my famiily and I facing this problem... just to help you to get a better feeling of the urgency of this issue.

Since the last iTunes update my iPod will not connect to iTunes. My computer recognizes it but as soon as I launch iTunes I get the error message: An iPod has been detected, but it could not be identified properly. I have done ALL troubleshooting steps and it still gives me the error...... this only happend since I updated iTunes.

Ever since the last two updates of iOS 6 I have a blank email screen
Ever since the last two updates I have a lank email screen. I've tried a warm reboot and a cold boot but with no results. I have nothing. Also the battery drains very quickly now. It used to last for two days quite easily and now it barely makes it thru the day and I've actually been using it less. In the time I've been composing this post, it's drained 6%. Additionally, there is considerable lag when using other functions such as photos. I have a 64GB iPad and no where near capacity so that shouldn't be an issue. We are, BTW, down 8% of battery function. Just so frustrating to have a wonderful piece of technology turn into crap.
Prior to the last two updates, it was functioning normally. What's the fix? Please advise. And don't suggest a reboot or complete shutdown because I've tried that.
I am using iPad 3 64GB

PS Down 10% battery capacityBackup your ipad and then restore it as a new iPad with iTunes on your computer. Check to see if battery use has returned to normal. If it has not then your pad may have a hardware problem. If so contact Apple Support or visit an Apple Store.
If it now functions normally after the restore as new then restore it from the backup you made previously and continue to monitor battery usage. -
As detailed in my question. I need help as my screen has been flickering or blanking out when I scroll my mouse or when I type. This has only started happening since the last 2 updates to Firefox.
Open the system menu via Alt+Space and see if you can resize that window.<br />
If that works then close Firefox to save that setting.<br />

Just curious. Have you opened disk utilities application in the utility folder and select your drive, and run repair permissions. This may or may not help. It also may take awhile if it has never been done. Good luck!

Message "Backup disk identification has changed since the last copy"

I have MD033 Time Capsule and my iMac 2012 and MacBook Pro connected to it. Time Machine is set to backup @ this disk.
Every once in a while I get the message you see in attach on my machines. Approximately it means "Your backup disk identificator has changed since the last backup (Possible reason the disk was changed or erased since the last backup or someone is trying to make you make aт illegal backup not on your disk "
I get this message from time to time both on iMac and MacBook but not simulateoneously. Once in a week or a month.
I already reinstalled anew systems on my machines and even replaced time capsule itself to the same model (absolutely new, factory sealed), not even mentioning formatting its disk a dozen times and resetting TC.
Does someone have same problem? Russian support couldn't help and directs me to a repair. But I really doubt that BOTH MacBook Pro and iMac have EXACTLY the same problem with TC. Everything seems as it is a software problem with some of the programfrood42frood42 wrote:

Welcome to Apple's discussion groups.
It may not show anything useful, but try this: Disconnect all external and network volumes. In the Finder invoke the menu option Go > Go to Folder. In the resulting field type "/Volumes" (without the quotes) and click "Go". In the resulting window you should only see entries for any internal volumes. If you see anything else, particularly an item with the same name as your Time Machine volume, you may have the problem described in this article:

You should trash any such things. The way to prevent this in the future is to prevent any process from running that would write to external volumes that aren't mounted. For Time Machine, turn it off, then when you want to back up, mount the Time Machine volume and choose "Back Up Now" from the Time Machine menu item. -
