ICR Contact persons details- Communication method  by default set as Remote

While maintaining  Contact person  details through FBRC010. The communication method  by default it is picking up as
Remote mail, it is same in user profile also,  with this setting when we tried to send the mail using template   through
FBICR3 or FBICR1. mails are not going to the  intended user.
When we changed the user profile from Remote mail to  Email,  mails are going,   But i understood that from ECC6 onwards
the mail type in user profile should be kept as Remote mail. if we change it to  Email, our concern is  users might not get
mails from other source.
Is there any way to come out this situation please.

Hello Ganapathi,
ICR simply uses SAPOffice standard functionality. Details about sending options would have to be answered by a basis communication expert. I'm glad you were able to find a workaround but if you would like to have a different solution you may want to ask somewhere else...

  • Issue while saving contact person details in CRM 5.2

    This issue is in IC webclient CRM 5.2.
    Issue:We search for the product and then confirm it.Once its confirmed,it will display the list
    of partners(ex:Sold to party ) for that product.
    When I  select sold to party ,it will display the list of contact persons for that sold to party.
    Then I select one contact person and I change some details for the selected contact person like extension,email and save it.
    Its getting saved.
    After that I do cancel interaction and I repeat the same steps.After changing the contact person,when I click on save ,its not getting saved.
    Again If I click on Save,its getting saved.
    I found that in setter method,collection wrapper is getting refreshed for the second time.Because of that,its throwing an exception 'CS_SY_REF_IS_INITIAL'.
    Can you please tell why this collection wrapper is getting refreshed and what could be the problem.

    I have an issue with respect to Authorization in CRM WebUI.
    Issue:-
    A User (end-user) depending on his role (Role A Assigned in SU01) should not be allowed to edit any account details except CONTACT Block Details, i.e. the respective user should be able to edit/create only the contact block details.
    The standard Authorization Groups CRM_BPROLE & B_BUPA_RLT are set with the folliowing values:-
    ROLE A
    1) BPTYPE = 000000, BUP003
        ACTVT = '  '
    2) BPTYPE = BUP001, BUP002, CRM000
        ACTVT   = 1,2,3

    I have created a Z BADI implementation of BADI in the method IF_UIU_BP_AUTHORITY~CHECK_EDIT.
    Commented the code from Ossnote 1259940 and wrote a simple code to give no/full authorization depending on parameter
    IV_APPLICATION_NAME.

    Now i need help from you all to suggest me on how to achieve it.
    One option is - Take away the complete authority from the user and give only authority on CONACT PERSON block.
    But for this I need to know how do we create authorizations on block levels.
    Any Help/Tip would be appreciated.

    I have a requirement wherein I will have to hide few commincation methods in Contact persons(BP category-Person).The communication methods as <b>Standard Comm.Method</b> for contact person viz.,RML(Remote Mail), SSF(Secure store & Forw.) etc need to hidden. I found no place where these values for communication methods are maintained in SPRO. Please guide how I can achieve this.

    In Customer master, Under General Data tab, there is a Contact person which is having Email id.
    The requirement is that to send PDF attached invoice automatically to the contact person (customer)from (Table : KNVK).
    If the value for the email is available for that contact person, then only the invoice mail(attached PDF invoice) has to trigger to the customer. If not, mail must not trigger to the customer.
    (Already code has been written for triggering of the mail to the customers and it is working fine). 
    Which fields I have to take into consideration for creating an access sequence.   So that I can create a condition record in VV31.
    Ex : Customer,Department, Contact person Function, Partner Function, Medium, Language.

    VV31 has nothing to with the contact person. The logic is that whenever an output is triggered, it looks into the contact person details and if email is maintained, email will be sent to him
    In VV31, you only have to maintain the communication strategy for emails. Your communication strategy should include internet/email as one of the communications. If this is done ,and if contact person has email id, it should work without any problem, of course, if the code is enabled for emailing.

    To your first question: "Can we automate this contact person creation by entering the data in contact person itself?"
    Yes, you can enter the contact person directly in the customer master in the contact person tab. A number is generated automatically.
    To your second question, go to transaction SNUM, and there use object "PARTNER". Here you can configure number range for contact persons.

    In SD Customer Master data, we can maintain Contact Person in General Data tab page.
    For my knowledge, we can not find u201CContact Personu201D field in ISM Business Partner u2013 General Data. Correct me if I am wrong.
    Mostly user enters the contact person details in u201CSearch Term 1/ 2 fieldu201D in Address tab page in ISM Business Partner u2013 General Data tab page. While creating ISM Billing Document for this Business Partner, system prints this contact person details in ISM Invoices.
    (Or)
    While creating ISM Order, user can maintain Contact Person name in Header Details(Click on u201CGo to >Header>Details>Purchase Order Data>Cont.Person)
    If you maintain Contact Person name in Header Details also, system print this contact person details in ISM Invoices.

    Scenario:
    We are implementing and MDM solution to keep a central vendor repository, which will be the source for multiple backend ECC systems. We use SAP PI as middleware and try to stay as much as possible with the standard SAP IDoc formats.
    Problem:
    Unlike for customer MD SAP doesn't seem to support the interfacing of contact person details via ALE for vendors (or I haven't found it yet, if it is there, please let me know, it would be great news ). For debmas you have an E1KNVKM segment included in the debmas IDocs and I assume that there will also be ADR3MAS messages to provide the address details.
    I believe that we'll have to go for customizing to get the same for the vendors but was hoping that someone has already gone through this effort and can share some best practices? Especially when it comes to configuring the system to make sure that the contact persons will be linked correctly to the vendors taking the CAM into account. (How to configure TSADOBJ and so on...)

    Take out the list of fields for vendor contact information in the respective table and try to include them in your custom segment in your message type and try to populate the data in that and sent it through the IDOC.
    if the same information can be handled at inbound system then you can capture the same.
