ICS Calendar Widget Date Bug

I'm running the .587 software release.
Today is 10th September. I added a new calendar event for 25th September to my Google calendar (all OK). I have the calendar widget on my homescreen and it shows "No upcoming calendar events" (as it should as there are no events in the immediate future). If I tap on "No upcoming calendar events" it will show me my next event (the one on 25th September) -- all good so far.
However, when I look at the details shown for this event it shows both the "From" and "To" times as "01:00, Thu, 1 Jan 1970"!!! (if I go through the Calendar app and not the widget the dates display properly as 25th September). This is extremely annoying, and it can also corrupt your calendar dates by replacing them with this 1970 date if you then go on to tap the "edit event" button.
Please fix this bug!!!!

Have you also tried with other calendar widgets to see if the same problem occurs? It's wise to try so your able to sort out what might be causing the issue.

Calendar widget shows yesterday's date

My calendar widget shows yesterday's date. I have tried clearing the app cache and data. That did not work. Nor did clearing the cache partition. I'd hate to have to do a factory reset just for this one little very annoying issue. And no, the device is not in airplane mode. Help!

This is certainly a unique situation KEVATTLE! Let's get you a solution to your calendar concern once and for all. Can I assume that you are using the original calendar app? If so then what software version do you have on the Droid Ultra? Have you always had this issue since owning the device? If so then try downloading a 3rd party calendar and see if the date changes from day to day. Keep us posted with the results.

Calendar widget bug

I'm experiencing a bug with the Calendar widget.
If I have an event that goes from the morning to the afternoon, like from 11:30am to 12:30pm, the widget will show 11:30am to 12:30am.
Also, if I have an event that goes from 8am to 3pm the day after, the widget shows that the event goes from 8am to 3am.
This is very frustrating on confusing.
It should be an esay fix.

How to post dates from YUI Calendar widget

I am able to get the YUI calendar widget to show on a web page. I cannot figure out, however, how to access the the selected date into a variable in order to use it. Can anyone help?

HT2492 ML Dashboard Calendar widget has lost the ability to change the date.

In ML the Dashboard calendar widget has lost the ability to change the day to other days. You can still navigate to different months with the arrow keys, but clicking on any day has no effect. I have not found a keystroke/mouse combination that allows the date to be changed from today's date.
This is a useful function for me, to quickly be able to see what I have scheduled on any day. Now I have to open iCal, which is annoying.

You are correct that there is no way to sort jobs in the print queue window in Snow Leopard. This is to be considered expected behavior. In other words, that's the way the software engineers intend it to work in Snow Leopard. You should provide Apple with feedback as to what you want. How Do I: Bind a YUI Calendar Widget to a Spry Master Detail Region?

Hello All,
Does anyone know how to bind a YUI Calendar widget to a Spry
master detail region? I have the dataset, yui calendar inserted but
no clue how to bind the two so my dataset populates the calendar
(Highlights dates that have a event) and when a date in the
calendar is clicked it shows in the details section.
I have found a tidbit or two via google but they don't deal
with the new yui cs4
widget. I have seen some video on adove tv that touches on
inserting the yui calendar into a spry dataset but not how to bind
the two together...
Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.

You have to write some code that sets up a select callback on
the YUI side of things, and then set the current row of the data
set that matches that date.
Something like this:

Dashboard/calendar widget

suddenly my dahsboard calendar widget is showing three panels instead of two. Panel one: Today's day and date; Panel two: The calendar for the month; and the new panel, Panel Three: "There are no upcoming events in iCalendar today". Is this Panel Three a preference that I accidently turned on somehow and can be turned off to not display? Thanks

Xperia calendar widget wastes space

I love the Xperia Calendar (12.0.A.0.18) and think its user interface is superior to Google's Calendar app. However, I do not like the Xperia Calendar's widget. I like to have a nice and compact 2x2 Calendar widget on my home screen - this works fine with the Google Calendar and lets me conveniently see upcoming events, but with the Xperia Calendar widget resized to 2x2 too much information becomes truncated for it to be useful.
Perhaps Sony could provide us with a range of calendar widgets to improve the widget functionality in small sizes? I'm not a fan of the white colour either, and would prefer some transparency (I also preferred the look of the old Google Calendar widget before they changed the bar at the top from grey to blue, though I also think this bar with the current date is unnecessary altogether as I use a separate date and time widget. Allowing customization would be best)

OK, forget it Sony. On the Play Store I just found a 3rd party open source calendar widget simply called "Calendar Widget" from "+1 labs" that does what I want and is extremely customizable. Perhaps you could even incorporate it as it is open source!

Can't Import ICS Calendars with 10.2.1.2941

Hi all,
in the last couple of days, I tried import ICS calendars on my Z10 running 10.2.1.2941, and each time, the Calendar app only imports one of the events in the calendar.
The first time, I created a calendar for the 2014 World Cup using iCalendar on OS X 10.9.3, put it in an e-mail, downloaded it from the e-mail on my Z10 and tapped on the file in the list of downloads. At that point, I simply got the Calendar app's New Event screen for only one of the events and an option to save or cancel.
The 2nd time, I tried loading the calendar from http://bclions.com/schedule/importSchedule?year=2014&team=1&timezone=America/Vancouver , which worked perfectly on my Macbook Pro, but on my Z10, I got the Calendar app's New Event screen for only one of the events.
This looks like a bug in BB10's Calendar app. Is there a workaround, other than synching with my laptop or Google Calendar ?
One more thing, on my Z10, I have one local calendar, two Google calendars and a Facebook calendar. Syncing with the Google and FB calendars work perfectly.

How do I get the calendar widget to work?

I have the calendar widget on my side bar but nothing shows up. Any idea what I can do to get my iCal to show up in the widget?

The options for what you see in Notification Center are in System Settings > Notifications > Calendar. You can see 1, 5, 10, or 20 of your most recent items. It's my understanding that if your past events are closer to todays date than your future events, then they will appear. These are the only options available. There may however be third-party calendars with Notification Center widgets that may allow more granular customization.

Belle Calendar widget does not show the synchroniz...

After updating to Bella N8 has synchronized with Outlook via Nokia Suite. The Calendar shows all the dates. I have two calendars. The first calendar comes with Mail For Exchange, the second from Outlook (synchronization with the Nokia Suite). Calendar Widget only shows events from the Exchange account, and newly added to the second calendar. It does not matter whether the added element: task, meeting. I can only see those that will add to the phone. Synchronized with Outlook do not appear.

Calendar 2 from Outlook
- 2012-02-08 Meeting 2
- 2012-02-09 To-do

Calendar widget show only

When I add to 2nd Calendar any event, calenar widget show it. When I delete this event, show only "2012-02-11 Meeting 1".

First of all, welcome to the Apple discussions.
Widgets are not for Safari 1.3 OSX Panther. They come with Safari 2.0 OSX Tiger.
Ad the bottom of you post I can read Mac with Safari 1.3 this not enough information to help you in the future. I understand when you say "Safari 1.3" that you are using OSX 10.3.9
To help you better an give you the right advice, please list your computer specs here In Discussions sidebar - - - -> Go to Preferences > My computer and tell us your model, iMac, eMac, PwrMac, etc. G3, G4, G5, 000 MB RAM, 000 MHz, System 9.x, 10.2.x 10.3.x. 10.4. All on your blue Apple pull down menu > "About this Mac" (Also, 000 GB HD, if you know it.) This helps us help you better.

Problem with InfoView calendar widget

I am using Crystal Reports Server XI R2
I was able to successfully run reports containing date/time parameter with InfoView in a browser. However after installing stand alone Crystal Reports Viewer on the same machine as the server I now see errors on the page and the calendar widget no longer works.
The errors in the browser appear as,
Business Objects with red cross next to it. The next two lines contain the letter i by itself
Uninstalling CR viewer did not help.

Hi there,
I had the same problem as you. This stemed from installing Crystal Reports Designer on the server machine. Usually this is a good thing and I've always recommeded it. However it overwrote the prompt.dll file with a newer one.
I had to install Business Objects on a different machine so I could get at the original prompt.dll file and replace it with the original one. This fixed our problem.
In our case the offending version of the DLL was 11.0.0.2478 and the original version is 11.0.0.1282.

How can I reinstal the calendar widget on Mountain Lion?

My app cleaner accidentally deleted an important component of the Calendar widget on Mountain Lion. The widget didn't work any more (no dates in it) so I deleted it.
I've re downloaded the Mountain Lion installer and tried to extract the widget using Pacifist. But I can't find it. Can anyone help?

Reinstalling system components is almost never the solution to any problem with OS X. A common cause of your problem is the following:

Does Swing have a calendar widget that can be connected to a JFormattedTextField? I want to be able to either type a date into the field, or click an arrow and choose the date from the widget.
