Hello Aditya,
in CRM 5.0 PCUI is still avaliabe. But have a look at the Comment: "MUSE and new interface for mySAP CRM" in the Blog https://weblogs.sdn.sap.com/pub/wlg/3748. [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] It seems that PCUI will be replaced in future releases by a sucessor of ICWC.

  • ICSS and PCUI

    Hi,
Can anyone please explain whats the difference between ICSS and PCUI. Is it possible to go for both ICSS and PCUI for a portal implementation.
Say for example, in customer portal, we have a few applications like MY Locations, My tickets, FAQ, IBASE.
If i develop My Location application in PCUI and is it possible to customize the standard applications available on ICSS and integrate them in the portal along with the PCUI application.
    Thanks and Regards,
    karthik

    Hello,
from my understanding, the customer portal can give access to e-selling (ISA), e-service (ICSS), e-analytics and some user administration tools.
I don't think you can give access to a PCUI screen over the Internet to your customer. PCUI screens are generated on the CRM WAS which is not accessible from the Internet.
    Hope it will help.

  • ICWC versus PCUI

    Hello experts,
we will develop a CRM 5.0 solution that needs several customizations (stuff like custom messages should be imported from external systems and shown in the interface for the call center operators).
We were wondering whether to use the IC WebClient or the PCUI for the interface. I hear that the PCUI will be discontinued after CRM 5.0 but looks much easier to customize (with the EEW) than ICWC.
    What do you suggest?
    Thank you very much

    Hi Gregor,
I am trying to convert PCUI application(containing Search and Search result) to ic webclient application. That means converting the PCUI application User interface to ICWC user interface.
But i am facing some problems.
    1. I have the knowledge of ICWc but i am new to PCUI. By following a pcui cookbook i tried to develop an application(flight example). But i am able to see the search but unable to get the search result. Could u pls tell me what is the solution for this?
2.Suppose i created the PCUI application. Then could u pls tell me how do i  proceed for the conversion?

  • Copying standard DCs pcui_gp~xsfpm and pcui~xssfpm into the localdevelopmet

    Hi Experts,
i am trying to develop an FPM application under, local development / Mcomponents.
But i dont have the standard DCs
pcui_gpxsfpm and pcuixssfpm underlocal development / Mcomponentsto to work on a FPM Application .
i have copied the folder pcui_gp folder and pasted it in local development / Mcomponents  and developed my application
but when i run it, i am getting the following exception.
com.sap.tc.webdynpro.repository.RepositoryRuntimeException: Could not find target object com.sap.pcuigp.xssfpm.wd.FPMComponent with type com.sap.tc.webdynpro.progmodel.repository.IWDComponentInfo (Hint: Is it deployed correctly?).
when i have checked if the content is copied properly
    there is no content found.
-->is it correct to copy them like that?
--->if so where is that i have gone wrong
    need ur suggestions.
    Regards,
    Satya.

    Hi,
you should first check if the components are deployed correctly on the J2EE engine. Maybe best would be to deploy the whole pcui gp SC to this engine. However in general developing FPM applications without NWDI is not so good. In case you just don´t want to create test dc´s you could create a test track in the nwdi for that.

  • ICWC and SAP DMS

    Hi all.
Searching trough the web and foruns I've read that it is possible to link a workflow to a DMS document. It is also possible more files to a DMS Document.
My question is: can I, trough ICWC, acess a workflow and any links it has and also acess/add/remove any link on the workflow?
In my case SAP R/3 is not implemented, only CRM.
I haven't been able to find any mention to this either in sdn.sap or help.sap.
Thanks in advance for your time.

    Hi vee raa
Following data might help you a bit..
DMS(Document Management System) is part of PLM
Integrating Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) lets you link documents from the PLM Document Management System (DMS) with documents from CRM such as contracts, opportunities, and activities.
To use PLM in CRM, you require SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) 4.70 and higher. If you want to use SAP EPR 4.6c, you require SAP Note 620160.
You have maintained the RFC connections to PLM. For more information, see the Implementation Guide at Customer Relationship Management ® Basic Functions ® Content Management ® Maintain RFC Connections to PLM.
    Features
    Note
Integration is only available for the People-Centric UI.
Change markings in PLM documents are not displayed in the PC-UI.
    The following functionalities are available:
    ·        You can use the PLM DMS to link PLM DMS documents directly to the following objects, or to delete the links:
    ¡        CRM business objects
If you assign a PLM document to a CRM business object, it appears in the PLM Documents folder.
    ¡        Sales contracts
    ¡        Sales documents
    ¡        Business partners
    ¡        Products
    ·        Finding PLM Documents
You can also find PLM documents in CRM by the following properties:
    ¡        User-defined text
    ¡        Document number
    ¡        Document type
    ¡        Version number
    ¡        Status
    ¡        Description
    ¡        User
    ¡        Part
For PLM documents, the Creator field in CRM Content Management specifies the Person Responsible from PLM.
The full-text search only searches the document long text and not the content of the document itself .
and for more information regarding integration of workflow and DMS...maybe this could help you a bit

  • Call list in ICWC and SAPGUI

    hi,
does anyone know why i can't seem to "view" the call list assignments in IC web? but it it can be viewed in SAPGUI?
I have created the call list and its assignments in the portal. When i log into the ICweb, i click n the Call List link, all i see is the dropdown menu for "Call List". In the "Available Call Lists" table, it is empty.
Have i missed out some steps or did something wrong?

    Hello,
    Goto Transaction: CRMD_TM_CLDIST.
Select your call list, and in the General tab put your LOGIN ID as the Responsible User, and in the Interaction Center field enter the Organization to which your USER has been assigned for IC Web Client.
Then the Call list will be visible in the Available Call List table.

  • Difference, advantage and disadvanatges betweeh PCUI and SAP GUI

    Hi Scholras,
Can any one tell the advatnages , disadvantages or difeerence between the interfaces GUI and PCUI.
    Regards,
    sasi

    Hi Ramarao,
mySAP CRM offers two user interfaces for running the business scenarios: People-centric UI (PC-UI) and SAPGUI.
For Interaction Center-based scenarios there is a choice between a WebClient and a WinClient version in addition.
SAP Best Practices for CRM supports both UI versions.
In comparison with the SAPGUI the PC-UI provides a more easy and flexible adaptation and personalization as well as a state of the art technology and look-and feel.
But in some project situations these advantages may not justify the higher installation and maintenance effort. In this case the PC-UI can still be chosen.
Nevertheless a move to the PC-UI is of course possible also in a later project phase because for most of the scenarios the UI has only a very limited dependency on the customizing.
Only the choice between WebClient and WinClient is fundamental because the customizing is different and an automated migration from WinClient to WebClient or vice versa is not supported.

    Hi Sreelekha
For ICWC parameter passing check this blog it contains a complete example
Re: How to make data of ICWC available in PCUI
But the problem that i am facing is in the blog they are passing the BP as parameter name 'CRM_OBJECT_ID' but in the trace i did not find any variable with the same name and also tried to debug the application but not able to find the exact location wher and how the BP is passed from ICWC to BP
If you have any idea please let me know in which method of PCUI BP he is retrieving the parameter value.

  • Re: Creating credit memo with reference to Sales Order in ICWC

    Hello gurus
I am new to CRM and we hv ECC 6.0 & CRM 6.0 in our environment.
We have a process where a Credit Memo Request is created with reference to a Sales Order.
Now till this point we had launched VA01 in the ICWC and were creating the CMR with reference to the Standard Order.
Henceforth we want to move this to the CRM ICWC.
In ICWC we create Standard Sales order using Work Center IC_BT_SLO tied to the Navigation profile.
I am looking for some way of copying this order to a Credit Memo Request in the ICWC.
I tried adding the Complaints button on the navigation profile ... however it creates a new CMR ... not sure how to enable copying it from the Original Sales order in ICWC
    Any thoughts ?
    Thanks

  • Need to transfer field KLABC (ABC Classification) between CRM and R/3

    Hello Group,
We plan to make the R/3 field KLABC (ABC Classification) of a customer (R/3 Table KNVV, Attribute KLABC) available in SAP CRM under Customer's sales area data. It should also be maintainable in SAP CRM.
After some analysis we found out, that this field also exists in SAP CRM (Table SMOKNVV, Attribute KLABC) but it is not replicated between CRM and R/3 (and vice versa). Also this field is not displayed in SAP GUI as well as not in the PCUI.
Now we are analyzing the two options:
    1) Make KLABC from table SMOKNVV available in SAP CRM (and PCUI) for maintenance and extend the Middleware to enable the replication of KLABC between CRM and R/3
    2) Extend the customers sales area data in CRM (PCUI) by a new attribute „ZKLABC“ and extend the Middleware to enable replication between R/3 KLABC and the newly created ABC attribute in CRM
    We have the following questions:
    - What would be the better & easier approach ? Any recommendation or comment is highly appreciated.
    - If we choose option 2, to what extend would the SAP CRM Easy Enhancement Workbench (EEWB) support this development (Is it possible to extend the business partners sales area data with EEWB ? Does the EEWB also extend BDocs if you add new fields to Business Partner tables ?)
    Background Information:
We have SAP CRM 4.0 SP8, R/3 4.7 and SAP Enterprise Portal 6.0
    Thanks a lot for help,
    Erik

    Hello Frédéric,
no, I do not have the middleware enhancement guide. Do you have it electronically and could send it to me erikmueller (at) gmx.de ?
In CRM would make the field KLABC from table SMOKNVV available in PCUI? Or would you use the Easy Enhancement Workbench to introduce a new field?
Either way I the middleware would need to be enhanced, but I would like to understand what is easier in CRM to have the field available in PCUI.
    Thanks for the info.
    Regards,
    Erik

  • Export PCUI search result to Excel over Context Menu / right mousebutton

    Hello
I am using CRM 5.0 and PCUI
I want to export the search result into Excel, on Servicetickets (BUS2000116). When i press the right mousebutton on the searchresult, I get the option Export to Microsoft Excel.
When i choose this option, Excel opens and i get the error message "Unable to open ......./mainDH.do. The Internet site reports that a connection was established but the data is not available."
and the cell A1 says ExternalData_1.
In Thread Export PCUI search result to Excel, Manuel Rodriguez told "Standard Export to excel is avaible in PCUI 5.0 and dont works in PCUI 4.0.". But I still can't make it work.
Anybody an Idea how I can do it work ???
    Best regards
    Thomas

    Hi Thomas,
you should not use the right click and Export to Excel. I think this is a functionality of Internet Explorer for HTML Tabes. Using that functionality you will only get the actual table exported. Do you see the Button "Download" in the Toolbar? That's the export to Excel functionality introduced in CRM 5.0.

  • Status is not updated after Save in the transaction but after closing and

    Hi
    In CRM GUI and PCUI,
    1) Opening a transaction (say an Invoice)
    2) Changing the status from 'Open' to 'Completed'.
    3) Save it
    4) after save, the status shows as 'Open' (but it should show as completed) but if we come out of the transaction and come again to the same transaction, we can see now that it is in completed status.
Is there any thing to be checked or SAP usually works like this?
As whenever an user change the status from open to completed, an follow up activity is created, since here the user see the open status again in the same transatcion (after saving), he/she again change the status from open to completed and save.. so it now creates two follow-up activity..
    Please help.

    HI
i had similar issue when I planned callback after saving document (function module with commit was doing sth).
This commit caused that status displayed on my document was previous not actual. When entering document again status was ok.
So check if there are any function modules with commit launched after you save document (of course I do not mean standard commit for saved document).
