ID CS3 – cannot access "find" or "tab" dialog boxes. I've restarted, uploaded recent upgrade, and "repaired permissions" in Disk Utility. Will re-installing from original disks correct this problem? The disks are 3.0 version. I currently have 5.0.4 available at Adobe.

I cannot access the settings tab in the management console

I am in the management console for my verizon d-link router and i cannot access the settings tab..
i got to the router/verizon management console via the default gateway ip address and used the default password which worked and then tried to access settings which im assuming is the same default password.. however when i try to use the default password on the settings tab when im prompted it says that it is wrong.
is there some different password for the settings tab?

Have you tried to go here and select your Gateway, then follow the trouble shooting tips. Most gateways/routers default passwords at one point were changed to the serial number for security reasons. If that does not work, you may try resetting the gateway/router to get back to the default. Never leave your gateway/router with the default passwords. If you get into the gateway/router a Verizon firmware upgrade if it is a Verizon model, may even change the default password to the serial number so it is not the standard D-Link that is used with all their gateways.

In Tools - Options - Privacy....I cannot access the Privacy tab. I can open all the other Options tabs..just not Privacy.

Try the Firefox SafeMode.

If it is good in the Firefox SafeMode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one.

Screen Locked with box "Cannot Access Find My Friends"

This has never happened...when I try to go on my iPad there is a box that says "cannot access find my friends" with 2 buttons "later" or "open". When I select either of those nothing happens. I have tried shutting down and it won't let me select to power down. I have asked Siri all sorts of questions and commands which she answers and follows. When I ask her to go to the find my friends app it displays a white screen. I never even use this app. Here is a pic of what it looks like.

Try a device reset:
Device Reset (won't affect settings/data/music/apps/etc)
1. Press and hold (& continue to hold) BOTH the Sleep/Wake button & the Home button.
2. Continue to hold BOTH (ignoring any other messages that may show) until you see the Apple logo on the screen.
3. Release BOTH buttons when you see the Apple logo and allow the device to boot normally.
Afterwards, enter multitasking and close off the Find My Friends app as it may be running and throwing this message. It appears you are likely on iOS 6.x so I'll include the procedure to close off the app for that iOS as it's different than iOS 7 and above:
Double-tap Home, press and hold one of the running app's icons (in your case, Find My Friends) until it wiggles, press the red - on the icon to close the app. Do this for all of the apps you want closed.
Note that a similar pop-up message stating something like "This iPad had not been backed up for xxx amount of time" has also been know to appear with similar symptoms as this message. The only way to clear the message is with a device reset as mentioned above. Apple needs to address (at least) this "no backed up" message issue as it can prevent one from using their device unless they know of the reset.

Find and Replace dialog box issue

When I am in split mode, I get the Find and Replace dialog
box up "Edit -> Find and Replace..." When I run a "Find and
Replace" clicking the "Find All" the dialog box disapears and I
have the Results checked in the Windows menu. When I go down to the
little green arrow to bring back my dialog box - the Find and
Replace text areas are clear and I have to re-paste the items into
it to do the "Replace All" - this is much more time consuming. Why
does my Find and Replace dialog box disapear and why does it lose
the last "Find All" texts?

The problem is every time I try to copy a page from a website or attachment sent to me or anything that I don't create, the dialog box says I have to save it before I can print -- there are no other options on the dialog box. Very frustrating -- one of the girls in my office is having the same problem and we can't find a way around it.

Can you evenly distribute tabs in the Tabs dialog box?

I work with lots of statistics arranged in columns and separated by tabs in text boxes. The number of columns will vary, but the text box is always the same width. I manually space out the tabs to evenly fill the text box. This is slow. I wonder if there is any way to select all tabs and then evenly distribute them across the Tabs dialog box? Like how you can evenly distribute multiple elements using the Align tool.
The 'Repeat Tab' function is close to what I need, but an 'Evenly Distribute Selected Tabs' would be even better.

Scripts are easy, and very powerful, and you don't need any programming knowledge to use them. Just install them (see How to install scripts in InDesign | InDesignSecrets) and double-click the name inthe scripts panel to run them.
You don't have to use the ESTK as suggested above, a plain text editor like Notepad or Text edit is fine (be sure to save as plain text, but add the .jsx extension). Since these scripts are very old, there's a chance they won't work in newer versions, but that can usually be overcome by making a subfolder in the scripts folder with the correct version name and placing an older script into the subfolder. In the case of the second script that would be a folder named "Version 4.0 Scripts" (without the quotes, but case-sensitive). I have no idea waht version Gerald's script was written for, but I've removed the codes and replaced them with the correct line breaks below if you want to try it:

All though provisioning somewhat more flexsible and pointing forward ... things are starting to go wrong here ... i.e. pointing to a very potential lack of success introducing users to the new Home namespace/concept ...
0) Situation if you do not fix 1 + 2:
You can not release the Homeview feature like this - without fixing 1 + 2.
If not 1 +2 is fixed you might just as well leave the release of the Homeview feature out of the roadmap for Windows 10. I.e. not ready for use ... or promotion in the UI
1) How come Homeview has not been included - like other namespaces i.e. Libraries into the Common File Dialog Box?
How can such a trivial thing to do be missed? I.e. like forgetting to include Homeview into Explorer (would be absurd).
If not included into the Places Bar of the Common File Dialog Box ... Home View will be unusable - because some very visible applications like Java, Photoshop will not be able to navigate that space easily at all.
2) Finally, please fix obscure situation in the UI namespace in Explorer
Please fix obscures like having Home view, Favorites and Libraries (side-by-side complexity and confusion obscuring usability) - all similar concepts but on a different evolutionary step. I.e. have Favorites and Libraries
hidden - and add i.e. view control like to small buttons whatever to unhide/show the legacy concepts.
In any case - Home view already seem to migrate/move links from Favorites to the Homeview container.
Additionally, Home view should migrate links from Libraries to Home view - and provide similar and better functionality.
Thus going the evolutionary way from Libraries > Favorites > Home - with the later concept of Home providing links to the cloud. Even better, sync relation ships could then later (extended features for Home) be set up among the pins - i.e. concerning
cloud/network syncing.
The UI should always reflect the 1 essentional concept - and not under the hood technologies or different evolutionary stages of the same basic/essential concept (technology/implementation free - abstract: "Home with pining of user data space"
- was previously favorites or libraries (thus obsoleted)). Now the name for that concept is Home. Have it include the technology that replaces Libraries too - i.e. categorization/nesting ... and some whitespace inbetween the nesting (alike some whitespace
already there inbetween the namespaces in the Explorer UI ... provides easy "modular" reading)

* What is the project directory structure with respect to WEB-INF/web.xml? Are you able to see the three pages (from web & pages folder) in NitroX Editor?
* Does the modified content appear in "Design view" of index.jsp upon restarting NitroX?
Ex:
- modify one of the pages in "web" folder > save the file (alert appears)
- restart NitroX, does index.jsp display the modified content of included page?
* If possible please send the test case project which exhibits the behavior to [email protected]

Lightroom 3: cannot access color management / print dialog

Whenever I go to print anything in Lightroom 3 (or CS5 for that matter), I cannot access the print / color management settings in the print dialog box. The words are there with black lines through them, with the warning that the bundle doesn't match the architecture - or something like this. I have installed the newest print driver software (Epson 2200, work horse). Help! I have not been able to solve the problem with Adobe either.

After trying to figure this out for weeks, I did find a related post on Lightroom's Facebook page. It is the 64 bit issue. To solve, highlight the application icon, go to "Get Info" dialog box, and click on "open in 32 bit mode". Same applies for CS5. Good Lord, what a hassle.
