ID3 comment data won't clear on iPhone.

I have some songs that have a little advert in the ID3 comment field and I removed them using two different ID3 tag editors and as well as the iTunes Get Info option, it's blank in everyone as well as when I right click the song in the folder and check the Detals tab under properties it's clear as well, so I delete the songs on my iPhone and put them back on and same advert is still there even though I have four different sources telling it's blank. The only way I was able to get rid of it was by clearing ALL of the ID3 tag data, and obviously that is not very useful and I do not feel like rebuilding all the ID3 tag data for every song. My theory is that the first time I put the songs on my phone it had the advert and it just stays even after you delete it and add again with blank comment data. So im just looking for suggestions because it is kind of an eyesore when I start playing my tracks.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.

You're welcome.
Contact them anyway.
After contacting your carrier and there is no problem on their end with your account - they may want to reset your account which will require powering the iPhone off, if there is no change after resetting network settings on your iPhone and/or after doing a reset which is similar to a computer restart, try restoring the iPhone with iTunes from the iPhone's backup.

  • App updates won't clear after downloading on iPhone 4s ios7

After updating a number of apps recently I have this ongoing list continuing in the App Update after successfully downloading. They all show 'open'. But the apps won't clear after reboot.

    Yes.
They fall off the bottom after 2 weeks.

  • Can't view website comments in Safari on iPad or iPhone

On neither of my iPhones nor my iPad can I see website comments sections. They remain blank and the busy icon churns like the website is constantly updating. My wife's two iPhones both show website comments. This happens using Safari and Chrome. My Safari setting are the same as my wife's. I've tried deleting cookies and other website data, to no avail. Any help would be appreciated.

As I said i've tried this on various WiFi networks with my iPad 3 and on WiFi and cellular on my iPhones 4 and 5: touching the comments button moves the screen to the comments section, but no comments are shown. On that site the comments button is grey before you press it and red afterwards, and it shows the number of comments, but the comments do not appear.
Instead when I press the comments button I get a whirling animated progress icon up beside the WiFi icon suggesting that the device is trying to download something. But the comments never load. (In previous versions of iOS and Safari there would be three lines in the comments area rapidly animated to show that someting was forthcoming, but the comments would never load.) As long as I stay on that webpage the animation continues, suggesting that the iPad is continually trying to access the comments data but unable to do so.
I've tried it with popups block in the Safari setting and popups allowed, with Javascript activated and not activated, etc. I've deleted all Safari data (cache, cookies, etc). Nothing seems to work.

  • 2 things: iPhoto isn't automatically copying all my imported photos into an iPhoto album folder AND ever since i upgraded my MacBook 120GB to Snow Leopard, iTunes won't recognize my iPhone.

So i have a 120GB MacBook that's about 4 years old (just updated to Snow Leopard--been working in Iraq, i'm a little behind).
Never had a problem with it.
I also have an iPhone 4 which i've had for about a year (up-to-date software as of about a month ago).
Never had a problem with it.
I've had iTunes for years of course (up-to-date).
    Never had a problem.
    1.
Now my iTunes won't recognize my iPhone since the Snow Leopard update.
iPhoto will recognize my phone, but iTunes won't.
Went through all the preferrences and i can't find anything that isn't set properly.
iTunes Helper is used during startup.
    Everything seems fine.
    Any help?
    2.
I use a WD external hard drive to back my Mac up every week or so.
I recently realized that half of my pictures from iPhoto are not copied to the external.
    They haven't been transfering over.
So i snooped through my folders and as it turns out, iPhoto hasn't been copying the pictures i import from my iPhone to iPhoto and saving them as .jpg files in the pictures folder (or iPhoto album or whatever) like i think it's supposed to.
My pictures folder has approx half of all my pictures in it, meaning at some point (probably 2 years ago) iPhoto stopped making the file copies of my imported pictures.
    I do not know why.
No idea how to fix it.
If i were able to fix that (with your help), would all the pictures that haven't been copied automatically copy to my pictures folder once i had the issue resolved or would there be a lot of dragging and dropping?
I've been clumsily and sloppily copying all my pictures to a new folder on my desktop and manually transferring that folder to a thumb drive (which i keep in my pocket) and my external (just so i have them in some form) in case my computer crashes or a mortar shell lands on my room and blows my computer up.
Can anyone please help me with any of this?
I can't just stoll down to the Apple store to ask the Genius Bar (I'm in Baghdad) and i don't have Apple Care so no one will help me on the phone when i call Apple.
    Thanks so much.

    hey mill1640,
Did you ever get your iPhone to register with iTunes? I just upgraded as well to Snow Leopard, and my my isn't recognized at all also.
If you did get this resolved, I would appreciate a little suggestion in the right direction.
    Many thanks,
    Josh

  • ITunes won't sync my iPhone 4 or connect to iTunes store.

Hello, I have iTunes 10.7 and it won't sync my iPhone 4, it gets stuck at step 2 "making backup", it also does not connect to iTunes store, it keeps rolling "accessing iTunes Store" and nothing happens, I checked the diangostics options, it says "Internet connection verified" and "Secure link to iTunes failed".
Note that I use Windows Vista Business (Service Pack 2), and that I made sure that Windows firewall allows iTunes to connect to the internet via both ports 80 and 443.
Note: my iTunes still syncs my iPod Nano 4th generation successfully but it won't sync my iPhone 4.

Man! thank you so much! After applying that command the problem completely disappeared and now iTunes is working perfectly! I really don't know how to thank you! I have been suffering from this problem since more than a month ago, I even bought new albums and couldn't sync them to my iPhone!
Not only that, I had also other issues with iTunes like when Windows starts up the "Apple Mobile Device Service" always occupies %50 of the CPU usage, that issue has been resolved also.
I also had problems with Google Chrome, Google Chrome was not able to open a lot of pages i.e. hotmail.com, 9gag, and sometimes YouTube, but now it's working perfectly! Seriously what kind of magice command is that?!
But I also was able to recognize what was causing the problem, I'm using the program "Internet Download Manager 5.19", and after I applied that command and restarted my computer, this window appeared:
First I clicked "Yes" and it asked to reboot the system, after rebooting, all the old problems were back, so I recognized that IDM is what was causing the problem, so I applied the command once again, restarted my computer, and this time I clicked "No" to this window, and now everything is working just fine.
Thank you very much for your help, you saved my life!
    Cheers

  • How did my ex's gf get the data off my kid's iPhone 4s?

The evil girlfriend of my ex says her computer "accidentally" downloaded all of the data from my daughter's iPhone 4s IOS7.  She claims to have just "run into" this weird file when she was looking for another photo on her computer. Cassidy says the phone was locked, and she had noticed the computer had an old version of itunes, which caused a pop up letting her know the version of Itunes was not compatible with her Iphone, and wouold need to update itunes in order to sync her iphone,  The evil step mother claims she had no idea the the information was downloading onto her computer, and she just "happened" to find this "big file" with Pictures, texts, notes etc.  I am appalled at the breach of basic human privacy.  I need to know what steps had to happen for her to accompish this, so I can get my ex to believe she did this on purpose, and try to make sure it doesn't happen again. Thanks

Thanks!  I have to be really clear before I talk to my ex husband and his girlfriend. Is backing the phone up done with an old incompatable version of itunes, or is it done some other way. My daughter says his girlfriend's  version of itunes is so old it's not compatible with ios7.  I guess I need to know what she had to do to back up the phone, since she told me it was a surprise to find this file there, she didn't do anything, she said it must have been itunes. I am pretty computer savvy, I just don't know much about iphones.  I KNOW what she is telling me is ********, but she's such a liar,, and she has my ex completely bamboozled.  Cassidy will NEVER plug her phone into anyone else's computer again.  It is not cool for his girlfriend to spy on our daughter, and she has been doing this sort of crap for years, and he refuses believe her or anyone else.  Thanks for your help                                                                                                                                                                                  x

  • Macbook pro won't pair with iphone

    Hi folks,
I have an iphone 4S running 7.0.3 and a Macbook pro with newly installed Mavericks.
I have failed to get the Maps app on the Macbook to find the iphone to send directions.
Now when I try to 'pair' the two devices with Bluetooth they can see each other but refuse to stay connected.
Two problems or possibly one causing the other.
    Any help would be appreciated.

You are quite correct that Bluetooth isn't the usual method - in truth I'm frustrated that the Maps app on the Macbook won't find the iPhone to send to.. Therefore I have tried to 'link' the two devices by any means and tried Bluetooth almost as a last resort.
Both devices are connected to the cloud and I have checked that I have up to date OSs on both.
chattphotos - your screen shot is bang on - but it should have one or more devices listed as well to send the info / map to.  That's where it is falling short and hence my attempts to 'find' the iPhone.
ChrisJ4203 - I'm sure you are correct as well. Bluetooth probably isn't the correct method, however I'm struggling to find what is.

  • Bug in To do's - Due date won't change unless you go to "Other..."

Bug in To do's - Due date won't change unless you go to "Other..." when you create or edit a to-do in Reminders>To Do's view
    Mail Version 3.0 (912.1/912)

Another bug: The "No Date" option doesn't work properly. I have a smart mailbox set up to show all items dated plus/minus a year from now (i.e. all dated items) and four undated items showed up in the list. Selecting "no date" didn't work, so what I had to do was use the "other" option to set a date a couple of years back then go to iCal to set the items to "no date". That cleared them from the smart mailbox in Mail.

  • What is "Other" data in iTunes for my iPhone?  And why is it over a GB?

In iTunes, my iPhone reports I have 1.6GB of "Other" data. It appeared immediately after I deleted and unsubscribed from a podcast (via iTunes) which had 24 large videos, and then sync'd with my iPhone (which was running out of space).
The podcasts appeared to be removed from my iPhone, however I still had no space and I saw that now I had this 1.6GB of other stuff.
I had a look around for answers on this and the default answer given is "restore your iPhone". So I did a backup and then did a restore to that backup. I don't have an earlier backup (except one that's from last year) and I really don't want to lose my app data and settings.
The restore didn't remove the 1.6GB of data.
So the question is, am I right in assuming the 1.6GB of other data is the left over podcasts that are now corrupt somehow? Or is it something else? i.e. What constitutes "other" data?
Second, any other ideas how to get rid of that other data?
    Thank
    Boz

    wjosten wrote:
Other that large is corrupt data. Normally, a restore from backup fixes things.
So, I discovered something new about iTunes today. The "Restore from backup" context menu option that appears when you click your iOS device in the Devices tree on the left of iTunes, is different from the "Restore" button that you get on the Summary tab for your device.
"Restore from backup" just does an restore from backup. Whereas the Restore button does a restore and then restore from backup. Make sense? Hmm.
This distinctly different functionality is not clear to the user, indeed the advice I was given above was to "Restore from backup", which in this instance is not what is needed to clear out the "Other" data.
In summary, to fix my problem I:
    - performed a complete Backup (from iOS Device context menu)
    - performed a Restore (clicked Restore button on Summary tab)
    - after device is reset with latest iOS software, chose latest backup
My other data shrank to 0.2Gb, and as an added bonus another 1.4 GB of other space was freed up from Apps and Video, even though I can't find anything missing, so I suspect there was other non-"Other" data that was cleared out by this procedure.

iPhoto won't recognize my iPhone 3Gs.  just says there's an "apple iPhone" instead of the device name, and says there are no files to download, but there are 62 items on my phone... what's going on?  as far as I can tell I have everything up to date and it's always worked in the past.

Have you already confirmed your Mac as a trusted device?  Try this:
    Lauch iTunes.
    Connect the Phone/iPad
When it asks you to trust it, say yes.
    Now try again to import.
