IDCS2-Pictureframes shows in PDF

Pictureframes shows when i generate a lowres pdf, but not when i generate a highres pdf.
It is not a frame as souch, more like a thin dottet white line, made by a knife.
I have try to solve this, by taking the highres pdf into Acrobat, and then downsample to 144 dpi,
but it is the same as when i generate a lowres from Indesign.
It wont work either if i make a postscript first and then generate in Distiller
So i have no problem deliver my catalog to the printer, but the webmaster will only accept
pdf´s, which are max. 144 dpi
To make matters worse to those who might want to answer to this problem, it is
not all frames that shows, it is ....well random.

Export using Acrobat 5 compatibility. Search for stitching for more

We need to show a pdf file as report which was saved in a given location. How to call that pdf file as report. We need to give a hyperlink in the report and when we click on the report the pdf file should be displayed.

In Word, if you have set the borders on then you should see them in the output. In Word it has a setting to let you see 'gridlines' even if they are not set ie you have turned the borders off. Highlight the table and set all the borders on and re-try. If that fails, try building the table from scratch and copy the cell contents across to the new table

How can I show a PDF in a browser when it has XFDF data?

I need to show a PDF file with data, this data is a XFDF file. So the process works in my machine I open the XFDF and automatically the PDF appears with a data. The problem is when I make this process in a web environment, the HTML page does not show anything.
I have 2 files: the PDF is TestForm1.pdf and the XFDF is TestForm1.xfdf.
I can embed an empty PDF, and it works:
<object type="application/pdf" data="TestForm1.pdf" width="300" height="200"></object>
But following (with the XFDF) does not work:
<object type="application/vnd.adobe.xfdf" data="TestForm1.xfdf" width="300" height="200"></object>

You need to ensure that the default Action for opening PDFs is to use the Nitro plugin rather than Saving the file.
Please let me know if that doesn't help.

In outlook 2013 emails,pdf attachments are not showing in pdf formats

We are using outlook 2013 as pop account for our official email communication.One of the laptop is having windows 7 professional operating systems and the email we are using as outlook 2013 in that laptop.
The issue is that when we try to attach the pdf documents in outlook 2013,it is attaching but it is not showing in pdf format and it is showing as notepad or word file.
when we try to open the notepad ,word file,it is opening in pdf format and also the client is receiving in pdf format.
If we attach the pdf document in email,it should show in pdf format.
Some settings are changed and i need your support to fix the issue.

Are the PDF files showing with the PDF icon or other icons in your local disk?
Please start Outlook in sate mode and test again. To do this, press Windows key + R to open the Run command, type
outlook /safe and press Enter.
In addition, you may also try to clean out the Temporary Outlook Files folder to check the result. See:

How to create an applet that shows a pdf as non-editable.

Hi friends,
Does any one know how to create an applet that shows a pdf document (should make that pdf a non-editable one) while clicking a link.Its urgent for me as I have to complete this one tomorrow itself...please help me...
I am able to view the pdf document but that cannot be make a non-editable one.
Can anyone gave me the code for that one....please I am not very much good in Java.

PDF is a proprietary format and Java doesn't support it by default. Are you using a 3rd party tool to create the PDF? If so, you need to review the developer docs to see how to make the document non-editable. Frankly, I don't see why you're using an Applet to view a PDF in the first place. What exactly are you trying to do. I'm confused.

IE 9.0 doesn't show updated PDF instead shows from cached version

IE 9.0 always shows cached version of PDF file not updated one. Can i know what is the cause of this issue in IE. Actually same issue was occur in IE 8.0 but i've changed security setting to default. As a result, IE8.0 shows updated PDF not from cache version.
But same workaround doesn't sort out this issue in IE 9.0.
I'd appreciate to providing solution to this.

I was having the same issue. I don't know what CTRL+F5 is supposed to do, but it didn't seem to do anything for me.
I finally saw the updated PDF in IE 9 when I opened Internet Options from the Gear/Tools icon, going to the General Tab and the Browsing History Section, clicking on the Settings Button and changing the radio button for "Check for newer versions of the page"
to "Every Time I Visit the Webpage" instead of "Automatically." Bummer, overall longer loading times.
Since my colleagues were able to see the updated PDF in IE9 and I couldn't, it points to browser caching going on, not server caching. Deleting the Temporary Internet Files did not fix this issue. I did not have this problem in IE8 and was automatically
upgraded to IE9.
Why doesn't deleting the Temporary Internet Files delete the cached version of the PDF? Where is this cache?

Showing a PDF with InteractiveForm and IFrame components

Dear Experts,
For quite some time we were having several issues while showing PDF Files in WebDynpro Java Components because of different versions of Adobe Readers and mainly because of browsers. Finally I have read about the option to show PDFs using IFrame.

Now this is working for me with Google Chrome, Firefox and IE without a problem. But with different pc clients of my colleagues PDF files are forced to download,when the application is called, instead of showing the PDF file in an IFrame.
Which setting is deciding to whether download the PDF or showing it embedded? Is there any way to prevent this grammatically?

When viewing a PDF in the Preview app can I show the PDF in the Finder?

Hi, if I open a PDF in Preview, usually from Safari I cannot then find away of showing the PDF in the Finder.
Usually with these PDFs, say I have opened a bank statement, I like to 'Move to' and 'Rename', both which I can do from in Preview but I then seem unable to show the PDF in Finder.
Is there a simple way I am overlooking?

Persian Language show wrong (PDF) (generated by BI Publisher)

Hi,
When Oracle BI Publisher Generate PDF output show persian characters wrong.
persian language (Use in Iran , Azarbayjan , Tajikestan ,... ) has 4 characters more than Arabic (cp1256) . this 4 characters is (پ ,ژ,گ,ج) .
when come (this characters ) in duration word appear a space between word.
for example word is پشتو But show in PDF پ شتو .
in HTML,RTF format we don't has this problem only accrue in PDF output .
This Persian characters :
U 067E PEH
U 0686 TCHEH
U 0698 JEH
U 06A9 KEHEH
when we copy پ شتو of Arcobat reader and paste to windows notepad show correctly (پشتو ).
Please help me how i can solve this problem.

I've seen this issue be raised in the past for another language. The advice then was to try copying the fonts in "C:\Program Files\Oracle\BI Publisher\BI Publisher Desktop\Template Builder for Word\fonts" to "<JAVA_HOME>/jre/lib/fonts"

Ibooks wont show my pdf files!!

Hello, I am using the latest itunes on Windows 7 and I have an iPad 2 with iOs7... Ive been trying manually add my pdf library to the iBooks app on my device trough iTunes, process that in the past was quite easy. The thing is that I can still do this, but this time the books would be on my device (or at least that is what see when I explore the content of my iPad through iTunes) but when i open the iBooks app: NOTHING!... it just doesnt show my pdf files even though I know they are there, Ive tried deleting them and adding them again, Ive also had the problem of iTunes freezing completely "syncing genius data - waiitng for items to copy"... does anyone know if these two issues are related? what can i do? is there a way to look for corrupyed files or something like that on ipad?... PLEASE HELP, I AM GOING NUTS!

I had the exact same problem. I bought some PDF ebooks and they showed on the iBooks Mac app but not on my iPad or iPhone. I looked in iTunes and I have select the books to sync on my iPad due to my iPad being filled up with tons of stuff. Anyway the newer PDF ebooks were not there. I tried stopping starting sync, sync over USB and various combinations of starting and stopping itunes and iBooks.
What finally worked is I removed the PDF ebooks from iBooks, renamed the PDF files and ensured I had the .pdf extension, readded to iBooks and then they appeared in iTunes for my iPad to select and then sync. Hope that works for you as well. I got this idea as someone mentioned a naming hint that was more related to the extension but that didn't work but when I deleted, changed the entire name and then readded to iBooks all good
