IDCS4. Flash version when exporting to .swf?

G'day,
Gotta say I'm loving CS4, it creates faster and more efficent workflows and that time saving makes me more money.
That aside, when exporting a document with hyperlinks, buttons etc. for a website, what version of Flash Player does the end user need to have installed on their computer to be able to view it correctly? I'm assuming the latest version, but I've not found anything to tell me.

Hi Flash experts!
I am a 2D illustrator and am relatively new to Flash (and love it!) and want to add some simple Flash animations (using my illustration) to my portfolio website. But I am having issues when exporting to .swf - I have emailed on examples of work to friends and colleagues to view (and check) and most have trouble opening the .swf files. In fact most can't open them at all! Is this more to do with your average (probably a pc user) person not having an up to date Flash player or to do with my settings when exporting?
Can anyone advise me on how to best export to .swf to ensure the majority of people can open and play the file? Is this a problem just for a newby like me or a wider issue you Flash superstars deal with?

It may just be that they do not have a standalone Flash player to play the file. Your better bet is to plant the swf on a web page and send the link to the page instead of the file(s).

Fuzzy text when exporting to SWF from Indesign

Hi, can anyone help? I have exported an interactive doc from CS5 Indesign to a SWF file.
The interactivity works great but all my text is fuzzy when viewing in swf?
text looks fine in pdf format thi?

InDesign audio doesn't play when exporting to swf.

I created an InDesign CC document with an audio file, MP3 format. I have the audio file and poster which shows and plays when exporting to an Interactive PDF. When I export the same file to SWF the audio and poster are not there although the audio files are the Resources File. How do I get the audio and audio poster in the swf file?

Most probably by correctly setting up the SWF export option or, if you have Acrobat, by converting the PDF into SWF.

Webpage Options When Exporting as SWF

I like the options to be able to choose the background color and set the vert. and horiz. alignment when you export to a ROME Website. I'd like those same options available when you check the Write HTML File checkbox when you export to SWF.

Transitions seem to be lost when exporting to .swf

Hi
I am new to keynote, and intend to use it to create content for a media server that powers several networked plasma screens in my place of work.
The media server runs on Linux, but can display .swf files alongside lots of other types of media. I want to use keynote because i can mix text and images etc in a tidy slideshow format.
I have created a couple of presentations and exported them as .swf file. When I do this all of the transitions are lost and replaced with basic fades. This is ok, but it looks a bit rubbish compared to what keynote is capable of. Is there anyway around this? Does anyone know why this happens?

Oh well. That's annoying as it's one of the reasons I decided to go for iWork! Nevermind.. Any ideas on any other software that can do the same things and export to flash? I know i'm kind of describing something like Flash MX or similar. I don't need anything as sophisticated as that.. I want exactly the functionality of Keynote or Powerpoint, but with the ability to export to flash. I wonder if illuminatus does that?

Mp4 file does not play when exported to swf?

I am putting together an interactive flash file that I have created in inDesign (CS4).
I have had no problems creating and exporting links, buttons etc, but when it comes to embedding video I am experiencing trouble..I have a video which I have converted to mp4 H.264 format, and there appears to be no problems when uploading but when I export, the video does not play, and there is just a black box in its place with no controls. I have tried converting the file into various other formats, all with no luck. I hope you can tell me where the problem lies!

Support for placed videos in exported SWF was introduced in InDesign CS5 so it does not suppose to work with CS4...

Can I change the version of Flash that InDesign CS6 exports to? i.e. can I export to Flash player version 9?

Not if you are exporting .swf, the minimum player version has to be 10.0.2. Player 9 will throw an error on the preload.

[CS4] Crossdomain security settings when exporting to SWF

I'm using CS4 (and CS4 server) to export single pages to SWF files, then I need to embed those SWF to a parent SWF binary (written with Flex) and publish them on a web server.
Everything works fine as long as both the parent and children SWF share the same domain and subdomain names.
But if I want different domain names for parent and children files, I have to face the standard Flash security rules ("embedded SWF files can be accessed only if they have specific security settings").
Using crossdomain XML files doesn't change anything, so what I need is to change the security settings directly inside the SWF generated by InDesign to allow him to be loaded by another SWF located on a different domain.
Is there a way (by scripting InDesign) to change my SWF security settings ?
I couldn't find nothing related to this subject in InDesign Object Model.

To be more precise : what I need is an InDesign SWF file with System.security.allowDomain set to '*'

Pages disappear when exported to swf

Hi all. I've got a document that I'm exporting as an swf to post on an etrading site. The problem is, I've got pages that are not appearing int he swf. For example, pages 1-6 show up fine in the .swf, but page 7 is blank eventhough there are objects on the page, then page 8 shows, page 9 doesn't, etc. I've browsed through the users forum to no avail. Does anyone have any ideas what may be going on? The whole document is 64 pages plus a few intentionally blank for formatting purposes, so I don't really want to have to redesign the whole thing. Any ideas would be great! ks

Yes, the pages that are missing in the swf are visible when the file is exported to a pdf.

Flash shutsdown when export to quicktime or test

I've had cs3 for a few months now and all of a sudden when I
go to test movie or export to quiktime I get an error message and
flash shutsdown.
"Adobe Flash CS3 has encountered a problem and needs to
close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
I can still export to avi. Anyone know what the problem
is?

Blur effect not applied when exported to swf ?????

I have added a fast blur effect to a portion of my video project in AE, it looks great in AE.
but when I export it out to a swf, the blur effect is not applied, why??????

See "Render and export a composition as a SWF file" for a description of what is supported and what isn't for SWF export.
You can choose to either ignore or rasterize unsupported items. It seems that you probably have the Ignore setting selected.

XMI version when exporting in metadata repository

All information of metadata/metamodel exported by SAP BI are all in xmi.version="1.1". Are there any way to choose or modify the version of these exported XML files? In other words, is it possible to get another format for the metadata export (XMI 2.1 for instance)?
And another question: from the exported metadata, how we get the XML schema? I found a trial tool that could translate the exported XML into XML schema (.xsd files) but Iu2019m under the impression that it couldnu2019t identify the value exactly, for instance:

Hi: I have the same problem, but it happened very suddenly and after very specific updates. I successfully encoded a file using the CS6 encoder. Then, I allowed updates to Adobe Media Player and Adobe Air. I tried to encode with CS6 again and it had stopped working - all in the space of 5 minutes. A reboot did not help. I also have CS4 and CS 5.5 installed and have had all along (which means that you can have them and use the CS6 encoder). Since I can no longer use the CS6 encoder, but am able to launch an older one, I am using that for the moment. I hope that this reply will be of some help in finding a solution.

I don't see new image versions when exporting, etc.

When I try to post pictures from FB to Aperture, I don't see any of my edited version, only the originals. This also happens with other applications...including setting my desktop photo under system preferences.
Any suggestions?

To see the edited versions of your images in the Media Browser and to be able to set the Desktop etc., you need to create Previews in Aperture. How are your Preview Preferences set?

Anyone got any good AVCHD FOR DVD Presets they can share for AME CC Latest Version when exporting from Premiere Pro CC Latest Version?

Just wondering if anyone has for download or can share some templates or settings that I can use to create a One Stop Encode that will suit both AVCHD HD DVD Disc and be good as a Computer MP4 File for PC and Android Mobile Playback and maybe even good enough for Full Bluray Mastering.
Currently I am using mostly HDV 50i Material with a bit of 1080 30p and Mobile phone type MP4 files thrown in.
I typically Encode to for DVD SD and HD BD. However I would like to be able to take advantage of putting some of the short HD Video to AVCHD DVD-R Discs.
I understand that the maximum bit rate is gonna be 18mbs? for AVCHD on DVD but am unsure what Profile settings I need to be compliant and as I say if create a good one MP4 that will be good for all formats
whether it be AVCHD DVD, Blu-ray Disc and good for YouTube uploading with possibility of compatibility with some of the Android Mobile Phones and Tablets.

Agreed about the roses but alas my next project always calls. Actually, I think what happens is I give each project SO much love that when it comes to exporting, I've run out of time.
