IDE - eclipse. How to duplicate a project

I'm not sure this is the right place to post this message but i wonder if anyone knows how to duplicate a project in eclipse (with a diff name of course).

might not be the best way of doing things, but i create a new project and import a file system which contains the old code throught
File --> Import --> File System.

How to duplicate Events/Projects with only Proxies.
I'm on a MBP Retina, with 500GB SSD. Running Mountain Lion and FCPX 10.0.5.
I have a 3TB Seagate drive.
I encoded all my footage to ProRes 422 first, then imported that as original media into my current Project. That footage is over 1TB in disk space.
I then created Proxies of all that, and am pleased at the performance, and file size of the proxies.
Now I want to copy my Event/Project to a smaller drive that only has 400 GB available (I measured my Proxies footage folder and it's only over 100GB. So plenty of space).
I've viewed tutorials on the dangers of duplicating in the Finder, and that everything must be duplicated or copied within FCPX.
So my question: How can I take my current Event/Project and Proxy versions only, and go home and edit, and then come back to the office and move my updated Project file and relink and keep moving with my bigger versions stored on my 3TB drive? What's the step-by-step?

Chris.Here is a possible way to go about this:
Duplicate (or move) all projects to the backup drive. Duplicate the event to the backup drive.
Click on each copied project from the backup drive (you don't need to open its timeline), go to the Inspector and click on "Modify Event References". There you will get a list with two events (the one on the original disk and the copy you just made). Move the new copy to the top an click ok. Now your projects will reference the versions of your clips in the copied event, and you can safely delete the originals. -
How to duplicate a project with a different fps
I have created a FCPX project with a frame rate that does not work well with the frame rate in the events I have taken clips from. I see that I cannot change the frame rate in this project. Can I copy the events on the timeline in this project to a new one with the correct frame rate?
I just couldn't believe it would be that easy!! I tried it and, as you say.... It worked very well!!

I have duplicates of a song on an album. One of the duplicates is grey with no album cover. When you attempt to swite and delete, the track will not delete and will not even play. I've contacted iTunes store and the person I received the support email from told me that it may not be downloaded. I emailed him back and explained that no there is no download for that song in my itunes store on my phone.
One I never received an answer back which shows you how well these people do their job.
Two: I really would prefer to have a solution to this problem without having to delete all of my music from my phone or resetting my phone. Because this duplicate isn't even showing up in my iTunes, it's only showing up on my phone.
When I attempt to find it in my itunes it plays fine. But when I try to find the file to delete it, it is no where to be found. I've tried everything that I could think of to get rid of it. And I don't want to leave the album/artist off my phone because I do enjoy their music... And I have the microsoft sync in my car.
Anyone got any ideas on how to do this without resetting the phone and/or taking my music off?If you have all your music on the cmputer then i would connect up my phone uncheck the Sync Music option and apply.
This should take all the music off your phone .Then you can resync the music back on to it.
If this doesn't work maybe a restore to factory settings and start from scratch is the way to go -
I am trying to connect a second monitor on my system so that I have one to work on and the other that I am projecting. Any ideas on how to do that?

I am using FCPX 10.1.3. with Yosemite, and want to duplicate my project and its complete resources to a different hard drive. When I click "duplicate", it automatically duplicates the project in its current hard drive, unlike the previous FCPX that gave you options. How do duplicate to a different hard drive?
Since projects are now stored in events and events are stored in libraries, you need to create a new l;bray on that different drive or open an existing library on that drive. Then duplicate your project and move it to the new library. It will copy the media. Then use the Consolidate Project File command to round up any external assets; there may or may not be any.

How to duplicate (finished) iMovie Project?
Hello,
I went on vacation with my wife and we shot some video all around town.
I've put together all of the footage and trimmed the video, tweaked the audio, etc. for OUR video archive.
The project comes in at just under an hour.
Our friends want to see footage of the trip, but nobody wants to see an hours worth of their friend's vacation...just the highlights.
So, now that I have the MASTER video for my archives...how can I duplicate the iMovie Project so that I can trim the copied project down to a "Friends & Family" version without jeopardizing the MASTER video?
I thought of just going into the Finder location for the iMovie Project, Copying and Pasting a duplicate copy that way, but don't want to chance it.
Any advice would be great.

I was trying to duplicate the project from within the "Event Library" and also while I was in Edit mode for the project in question.
I just noticed the "Project Library" button and see that the Context menu does have a "Duplicate Project" function.

I cannot edit pictures in my iphotos. I am able to start new projects but my calenders and books that I was working on are frozen. Any ideas on how to fix? I spent a lot of time working on these. Thanks
Any work you do in Lightroom is in the catalog. It is impossible to use Lightroom without a catalog.
In addition, your photos are filed in a specific location, which is determined when you import the photos (this may be a location you have specified or it may be the default location chosen by Lightroom).
So ... unless you specifically choose to delete your photos, your photos have not been deleted. To find them, open Lightroom and select File->Open Recent and select each catalog shown there until you find the one with your 170 photos.
And now ... a word to the wise: as gvb279 and Keith said, you absolutely need to stop doing whatever it is you are doing and learn the basics of Lightroom. You are clearly in need of such basic understanding. My contacts and groups are not duplicated in iCloud but my groups are duplicated on iPhone and iPad. Any ideas on how to remove duplicate groups or why they are duplicating?

How to import java project to Eclipse?

The jsp and java files are under src folder.
Since it is my first time to use eclipse platform, I do not know where should I put all those source files?
Is it a dynamic web application to have those *.prefs in .settings folder?

Hi everyone, I started JAVA programming today, and I've done the first tutorial, the famous Hello World.
Firstly I created my JAVA project, a package, and finally I created a class !
In my class I wrote :

You must make sure that the java source file has the filename of the class name plus .java.
The source file has to be in a directory with the name of the package. You compile it from the directory containing the package directory using the javac command.
IDEs like Eclipse organize this stuff for you but for your first couple of programs compile from the command line, then you are much clearer about what's going on. -
How to create a Project in Development system?

I am starting my development on client system.
Whenever i try to create infoarea or cube or catalog or whatever it is asking for request.
before creating request, Project must be created plz tell me how to create a project?
whats the relation between project and package?
And one more question...if i want to avoid asking requests then what settings must be done so that after all development is over i can transport to quality system at time.

Any ideas on how to do a local mirror for this situation?
I'm starting a project to allow ArchLinux to be used on a Cluster environment (autoinstallation of nodes and such). I'm going to implement this where I'm working right now (~25 node cluster). Currently they're using RocksClusters.
The problem is that the connection to internet from work is generally really bad during the day. There's a HTTP proxy in the middle. The other day I tried installing archlinux using the FTP image and I took more than 5 hours just to do an upgrade + installing subversion and other packages, right after an FTP installation (which wasn't fast either).
The idea is that the frontend (the main node of the cluster) would hold a local mirror of packages so that when nodes install use that mirror (the frontend would use this also, because of the bad speed).
As I think it should be better to only update the mirror and perform an upgrade not very often (if something breaks I would leave users stranded until I fix it), I thought I should download a snapshot of extra/ and current/ only once. But the best speed I get from rsync (even at night, where an HTTP transfer from kernel.org goes at 200KB/s) is ~13KB/s this would take days (and when it's done I would have to resync because of any newer package that could have been released in the meantime).
I could download extra/ and current/ at home (I have 250KB/s downstream but I get like ~100KB/s from rsync), record several CDs (6!... ~(3GB + 700MB)/700MB) but that's not very nice. I think that maybe this would be just for the first time. Afterwards an rsync would take a lot less, but I don't know how much less.
Obiously I could speed things a little If I download the full ISO and rsync current using that as a base. But for extra/ I don't have a ISOs.
I think this is a little impractical (to download everything) as I wouldn't need whole extra/ anyways. But it's hard to know all packages needed and their dependencies to download only those.
So... I would like to know if anyone has any ideas on how to make this practical. I wouldn't wan't my whole project to crumble because of this detail.
It's annoying because using pacman at home, always works at max speed.
BTW, I've read that HOWTO that explains how to mount pacman's cache on the nodes to have a shared cache. But I'm not very sure if that's a good option. Hmm... but why do you want to use rsync? You'll need to download the whole repo, which is quite large (current + extra + testing + community > 5.1GB, extra is the largest). I suggest you to download only those packages and their dependencies that you use.
I have similar situation. At work I have unlimited traffic (48kbps at day and 128kbps at night), at home - fast connection (up to 256kbps) but I pay for every megabyte (a little, but after 100-500 megabytes it becomes very noticeable). So I do

at work (especially when packages are big), then put new downloaded files on my flash drive, then put them into /var/cache/pacman/pkg/ at home, and then I only need to do pacman -Sy before installing which takes less than a minute.
I have 1GB flashdrive so I can always keep the whole cache on it. Synchronizing work cache <-> flash drive <-> home cache is very easy.
P.S.: Recently I decided to make complete mirror of all i686 packages from archlinux.org with rsync. Not for myself but for my friends that wanted to install Linux. Anyway I don't pay for every megabyte at my work. However it took almost a week to download 5.1 GB of packages.
IMHO for most local mirror solutions using rsync is overkill. How many users are there that use more than 30% of packages from repos? So why to make full mirror with rsync when you can cache only installed packages? -
