IDE that works?
Hello!
I'm looking for an IDE that works.....
First I tried Suns Java Studio Mobility..... it was extremely buggy....got exceptions when trying to import......
Then I tried the eclipseME plugin for eclipse..... it was even more buggy......the J2ME categories did'nt show up in Project > Properties....
Do I have to buy Borlands JBuilder ...or is there something free that works....?

I am using Eclipse 3.0 with EclipseME and WTK2.1. It works perfectly fine.
May be u can try to enable the plugin. Try this:
Help -> Software Updates -> Manage Configuration
On the toolbar of the pop-up window, click on "Show Disable Features". If EclipseMe shows up on the left panel, click the check box to enable it.

Since I upgraded to iTunes 11.01 the "Smart" playlists feature no longer works.
I can CREATE the list but, the songs that I have played don't accumulate in the list.

Since upgrading to OSx 10.9, I cannot place my music for iPhoto slideshows. The only music that works is the Sample and Theme music that comes with iPhoto. Any idea of what to do about this problem?
In iTunes go File -> Library -> Organise Library -> Reorganise Library.
Then quit and restart iPhoto.

Scripts that work in VSTS IDE fails when run through MTM.
Hi, we have created scripts using VSTS Coded UI that work well when triggered from VSTS IDE itself. But when we trigger them through MTM and executed from Agent Machine, it seems that some controls are not being identified properly. This is causing scripts
to fail intermittently.
When we re run the script again, it passes. this behaviour is inconsistent.
Since this issue does not occur in VSTS, it has to be somehow linked to how the scripts work through MTM. any guidance on this will be much appreciatedHi Vasanth,

According to your issue, could you please share me the detailed error message after you run coded UI test some controls failed through MTM?
In addition, as you said that since this coded UI test script work well by the VSTS IDE, so the issue is not related to the coded UI test project itself.
Therefore, to check if this issue is related to the lab environment, I suggest you could try to create a simple coded UI test from VSTS IDE and then ensure the simple coded UI test work well from the VSTS IDE.
Then, you could try to run this simple coded UI test by MTM and then check if you could run the simple coded UI test fine.
(1) If you still could not run simple coded UI test well, I suggest you could try to restart your test agent machine and then check this issue again.
(2) If you could run this simple coded UI test, I suggest you could to make Coded UI Tests Wait For Specific Events and then check this issue again.

In addition, if you are testing the web application for coded UI test, please try to check if the test agent machine's IE browser is same with the local VS machine. Sometime, the different version of IE will impact the coded UI test.

[email protected]Mozilla, like many other software companies, thoroughly test their software before releasing it to the public and I'm sure that no problem you are having is intentional.
I do not work for Mozilla but I do have experience of releasing software for public usage.
Firefox has no way of knowing what other software is already on your computer and with millions of combinations it isn't always possible to test for every scenario.
You can go back to the old version of Firefox but that won't always solve your problem.

I've read others' posts on this issue and still don't have an answer that works! Safari keeps dropping wireless connection every 5 - 10 minutes (it's gotten progressively worse over the last month). My husband, sitting 10 ft across from me, has no issues on a Dell laptop with XP so doesn't appear to be the router or ISP. Safari v5.0.6 Mac OS 10.5.8. Cleared cache, tried kill commands in Terminal, restarts, etc. Only restarting seems to keep it at bay for a period, but then it will start again. Any other ideas?

I pointed you to a brief discussion with another poster who had a problem connecting a Mac to a wireless router. He had an old Dell laptop that worked well with that router. I suggested he upgrade the router firmware. He upgraded it, and the problem was solved. Another poster in that thread did the same thing, and his problem was also solved. Within the last day or two, I made the same suggestion to a third poster in another thread, and his problem was solved too.
Conclusion: Upgrading the router firmware helps sometimes.
If I understand your response, you think that checking for a firmware update isn't even worth a try. Am I missing something? -
I have a new Airport Extreme that works well with my IMac but is intermittent with our Windows 7 PC. Any ideas?
Thanks planb77. Your instructions worked but I had to do a little more than you stated. I did not realize that transferring files to a new computer was not enough. When the iPod synced I was told I needed to "authorize" my new computer to get my iTunes purchases to sync to the iPod. So after the initial sync, I ejected and disconnected the iPod, went into the iTunes store, set up "home sharing" and then authorized the new computer. When that was done I reconnected the iPod and was able to sync all my books and music. The only thing I couldn't do was rename the iPod as iTunes never asked me to. Is there a way to rename it after it has been set by iTunes as "owner's iPod"?

So far I have pulled the system configuration file, I have reset safari, I deleted all old passwords from the wifi network in Keychain I restarted both devices. I am at the end here and I cannot get it to work I have an iMac that works fine with my network but for some reason this computer will not connect. It is system wide specifically to my personal hotspot. I can connect fine to any other network (wifi) but just not mine. I have not changed any wifi settings. I have been trying to figure this out. I have a MacBook Pro Late 2006 model running Lion (10.7.5) So any ideas anyone? Please help!
12. At a WiFi hotspot, you can't get connected. The most frequent reason is the login screen for the WiFi hotspot is only able to be connected with a single type of browser. If Safari doesn't work, try Firefox, Chrome, Omniweb, or Opera.

Script that worked in CS does not work in CS4 - multiple open page, print , pdf export and close
I had a script that worked great for me in Indesign CS. But now does not work in CS4. Anyone knows what needs to be done to make it work again ?
When I drop folder with indesign files on top of this script:

First thing I noticed is the interaction level is set off. If you comment out this line

you might be able to pinpoint the exact error -- ID will display a standard "failed" dialog, hopefully showing the line that it fails on.
A quick question: the script assumes two presets in your InDesign: one for print ("letter size") and one for PDFs ("pdf preset name"):

Does anyone know of troublefree editor that works?
What I want, is a video capture/editing program that works trouble free; or as close to that as possible.
I've upgraded from Premiere 10 to 12 and many versions prior to those, simply hoping that the next version will resolve my constant issues that involve freezing, glitchy capture problems, interminable "hourglass" (formerly) on the screen while I wait for the program to do.. something...
I've upgraded the program, upgraded computer components, but year after year I seem to get the same results and have teh same probelm with premier.
It's happened again while I am typing. the video just stopped capturing, for no apparent reason, on the other computer that was doing nothing ELSE but capture video on Premiere 12.
I've upgraded computer components. That never helps, or at least never seems to, either.
I still have a program in Premiere that freezes, intermittently won't recognize capture formats its recognized before, stops recording the media on its own (after I've walked away hoping to come back two hours later to edit the successful transfer, only to find out it stopped 10 minutes in.) or tells me there was some error in capturing so doesn't save the transfer but only tells me this the full-two-hours later.
Look, I know I'm not an expert.
But I'm no novice either. I used to edit video for a living.
For home use, I owned and tried using the original Premiere program released in the 90's.
My frustration with Premiere is that I keep expecting these glitches, problems to go away with the next version, then the next...
Any informative, practical support for the product seems to ONLY be this forum, which I've notice usually gets the "poster" even more frustrating responses that put the responsibility on the user to do all the exhaustive system information gathering, which results in a "scattershot" guess from a Responder, which requires the User (Me) to spend an incredible amount of time, have the motivation, not to mention some level of expertise, to go through, all of these proposed steps only to discover they have nothing to do with your problem or be told in some followup response that they didn't do it right. Viewing myself as a "typical" home-consumer user, trying to preserve family videos, I find myself simply walking away; at some point (usually the holidays) tackling it again months later.
When I flip the light switch and the electricity is "down", I am not expected to run tests all the way back to the hydro-plant.
The damned lights are supposed to come on when I flip the switch and they usually do.
I understand entirely that there are differences here.
But meanwhile, video formats continue to change, my family videos recorded on now obsolete formats continue to build up, become unviewable for all practical purposes, there's no quick, relatively easy way to transfer them to the "new format" and this cycle goes on and on.
I shouldn't HAVE to shut down firewalls, or change KEYS, or delete lines of code.
I should not have to go to the exe file to see if THAT works.
I should not have to uninstall, reinstall, then hold my tongue just so while it restarts and hiope for the best.
The program should open, when I open it. The program should record video when I click the "capture" button. It should keep capturing the video until I tell it to stop.(Or the power goes out!)

By "works", I mean, plug in my camera (new or old) into an adapter, capture the video to an "editable" format that can be viewed in whatever the "now" format might be? Consequently, this is not a user to user question. Likely not even a question specific to Adobe. However, if your issue is with Adobe and not the whole NLE world, you might consider filing an Adobe Feature Request Bug Report Form.

Or trying to contact Adobe direct to take this matter up with Adobe Marketing or the Premiere Elements Project Manager for a given version.
Your list of "should not have to" is not practical if you have problems with a Premiere Elements version(s) in your specific computer environment
and you want/need to get it to work for you. If not, you go to another product (tryout versions first).
I (user of the Premiere Elements versions) will be glad for the opportunity to go the extra mile to help you troubleshoot a specific problem for a specific Premiere Elements version on your specific computer environment. But it will take good two way communication and follow up and abandoning your "should not have to". If you decide to consider the offer, please let us start with the Premiere Elements version involved and the computer operating system on which it is running and the specific issue.

I have a 2013 Buick Enclave with Pandora and Stitcher on the nav screen. With my Samsung S3, Pandora automatically lit up and worked. with new iphone5, I was told I need to connect USB port to car and phone and start Pandora. That worked and the icon on screen lit up. but as soon as I removed the USB cord, Pandora and Stitcher greyed out and stopped working. I know it's supposed to work on the car's nav screen once I hardwire it (at least that's what I was told), but as soon as I disconnect, they stop working through the car. How can I install Pandora and Stitcher on my car WITHOUT having the usb cord attached? the idea is to be able to use the car's touch screen to control Pandora, but with the phone plugged into the USB port, I can only use the phone to control Pandora, which of course is dangerous when driving! And it worked correctly with the samsung, so I have to believe it can work with the iphone 5! Right? Thanks.
You cannot install the apps on the car.
The cars head unit is merely acting as an interface to the apps on the device.
If you want to use those apps in the car, plug the device in and leave it plugged in. -
Traded in my iPhone for a different brand of phone. I had no idea that I had to sign out of iMessage before doing this. Now, my old phone is gone and my new phone cannot receive texts from people who have iphones and had me as a contact before. They try to send an iMessage and I have no way to receive an iMessgae now. On some server somwhere my AppleID still tells people they should send me iMessages. What is the solution to this issue? Deleting my AppleID would work to solve this issue, but I cannot ever delete the ID? What can Apple do for this?
If you did not erase your apps and data before getting rid of your old phone, try using Find My Phone and erasing everything remotely. See if this works.

How can I periodicaly get data from a CAN interface that works in "Transmit by response" mode??

I am a very new user of LabView, and last week I got the order to implement a Comunication with a CAN interface.
I am trying to get Information from a CAN interface, that works as a "slave", as it is said in the very short handbook. This means it only responds, when it is asked to.
As i want to get the 20 different datas periodicaly it would be fine to do this in a kind of loop. This means:
-tell the interface to send data1
-read data 1
-tell the interface to send data 2
Are there any examples or ideas, how to create similar loops?
As I am absolutely no expert in computing, it would be nice if you answer with very little technical terms...

Try the attached example, which writes a remote frame to your slave and reads the response. It is doing this 20 times in a for loop and a specified timing.
