Ich habe den Audiotreiber und den Bluetooth-Treiber aktualisiert. Der Hinweis auf der englischen Seite, das Home Theater zu installieren, hat zu zusätzlichen Fehlermeldungen und einem Speicherkonflikt geführt.

Bitte um widerspruchsfreie Erläuterung über den Installationsvorgang; Anleitungen von Lenovo sprechen von Deinstallation des alten Treibers - teils mit teils ohne Systemneustart vor der Installation während die "Readmes" das einfache Darüberinstallieren vorschlagen. Vielleicht wäre auch das Vorgehen für das Aktualisieren der Lenovo Zusatzprogramme zu überdenken. Wenn Sie wieder diese im Zustand der Auslieferung vorfinden, wenden Sie als Nutzen Unmengen an Zeit für deren Aktualisierung auf. Danke für aktualisierte Informationen.

Vor dem Auffrischen des Systems: von Lenovo mit vorinstalliertem Setup, möglicherweise nachträglich geändert mit den MS-Updates. Nach Auffrischen System: zusammen mit den Updates für Windows 8 und nachher für Windows 8.1 von Microsoft. Frage Recovery Partition:
ja - in der Annahme, es handle sich um jene von Windows 8 bzw. 8.1; sie existiert auf der Festplatte und auf einem Stick. Massnahmen:
Treiber deinstalliert, Treibersoftware entfernt und neu gestartet. Fehlermeldung erscheint wieder, der Lautsprecher funktioniert (in welcher Qualität auch immer). Die von Dir empfohlene Version ist jene, die ich beim deinstallieren entfernt habe.
Seit diesen Massnahmen ist installiert: High Definition Audio-Gerät von MS, Datum 22.8.13, Version 6.3.9600.16384. Somit bin ich gleich ratlos wie vorher. Import of icas file to Thunderbird/ Calendar fails, no error message or anything; any ideas? (Win 8.1)

File originally exported from Microsoft Works Calendar. Is an ics format file which Thunderbird Calendar uses. There is an 'Events and Tasks/ Import' option in the toolbar but using this and selecting the ics file produces no discernable result; not even an error message.
Should import be possible? If so, are there limits on size, dates? Any ideas gratefully received.

Does that work? How large is your .ics file? Do you have lots of old entries?

Eclipse 1.3.2 window freezes issue, wrong IDE for win 7 or bad config?

Hi everyone, this is my first thread on this forum...well this is my first thread ever.
I wasn't sure where to post my question, but since it is veeeery noobish, I'm posting it here instead of the obscure 'other' development section.
I installed the Eclipse IDE for Java Developers the other day version 1.3.2 for my OS which is Windows 7 x86.
I installed the Java SE development kit 6 and had already the Java 6 runtime thingy installed way before I even considered studying computer science.
The problem is that when I run the code below the Java popup window appears.....but it won't close if I click on the 'x' to close it :/
Anyone knows the cause to this problem? It would save me a lot of time and mental sanity, I've been fighting with it for some time now.

Idea to win over BB

One of the feature that has many people change over to BB is the Messenger PIN Idea. If palm could send an upgrade to link into the BB messenger system (BB messenger for NON RIM DEVICE) using a Palm Smartphone and at the same time have an improvment over the applicatioin, Palm Pro and Pre would gain advantage over the BB. Also come up with a web page that alows totaly free text with palm phones all over the world. If this is not done soon, I also would have to change over to BB, and I don't want too. IDES/DB6/Win - Installation phase (Update Database Configuration) is slow??

To whom it may concern,
I am currently installing IDES ERP 2005 on Windows 2003 with database as DB6 with 1GB Ram and 1 CPU P4. 4GHz
However, I found that the phase Update Database Configuration phase is running very slow and sapinst growth very large (>500 MB) while no error found in the dbdump file.
I checked the view log from Netweaver Installer and showing TRACE
see that the message DB6_NODES_WORK > undefined < found keep repeating whereas no other message found. Please advise if you encounter this before and advise if anything can be done.

This phase started from 3 pm and still running till now 6 pm (3 hours)
previously, it was running for 2 hours before termination.
By the way, I found that the sapinst keep repeat the following to the sapinst_dev.log

while the task manager showing that the cpu was utilize from 11% to 100% from time to time (indicate something is running).

Geht immer kurz vor Schluß, dann bricht Insallation ab, Cd alles da, auch beim Online download das gleiche Problem, danke im voraus

... und was sagt der Adobe-Support dazu?
Läuft ein Virenscanner im Hintergrund? Wenn ja, hast du den mal während der Installation abgeschaltet?
Ist das Betriebssystem und auch alle Treiber auf dem aktuellen Stand?
Laufen irgendwelche Programme (z.B. AdAware oder sowas) im Hintergrund oder hast du dein System mit irgendwelchen Tuningprogrammen "optimiert" (bzw. kaputtoptimiert )?
Ist auf der/den Platten noch genügend Platz?
Ich würde evt. auch mal eine Windows-Neuinstalltion ins Auge fassen.

Win 7 update funktioniert nach HDD Wechsel nicht mehr

Nachdem meine WD 320GB HDD auf meinem Lenovo G550 Model 2958 (Windows 7 SP1 32 Bit) immer voller wurde, habe ich eine größere WD HDD mit 500 GB eingebaut. Die 320GB wurde mit ACRONIS TRUE IMAGE mit den gleichen Partitiongrößen geclont. Alles funktionierte wunderbar. Bis dass ich jetzt feststellte, dass das Updaten von Win7 nicht mehr funktioniert. Es kommt immer die Meldung, das "mit Windows Update kann derzeit nicht nach Updates gesucht werden". Da ich das Clonen auch noch mit Windows "Sichern und Wiederherstellen" gemacht habe und dieselbe Nachricht erhielt, bin ich ein wenig ratlos. Kann man mit meinem Laptop keine größere Platte verwenden?

Das Zurückbauen auf die WD 320 GB habe ich auch schon gemacht. Das Wiederherstellen mit OKR hätte aber über 20 DVDs benötigt. Das war mir zu teuer. Gibt es mit OKR nicht die Möglichkeit, die Daten auf einer externen Platte zu sichern und eine Standalone CD/DVD mit der Zurückspiel Software zu erzeugen?
Dann habe ich 3 DVD mit OKR zum zurücksetzen auf den Werkszustand erzeugt. Dann habe ich versucht, auf der WD 500 GB den Werkszustand zurück zu spielen, was auch zu Anfang funktionierte. Als dann das System wieder oben war, versuchte ich OKR aufzurufen, um meine gesicherten Daten zurückzuspielen. Leider ging das nicht. OKR verlangte eine Neuinstallation. Die habe ich dann von D: mit der Setup anwendung auch gemacht, aber ich erhielt wieder die Meldung Treiberproblem, bitte OKR neu installieren. Da habe ich dann aufgegeben.

W530 Win 7 USB und SD funtionieren nicht mehr

Hallo zusammen,
zufällig ist mir aufgefallen, dass am meinem W530 sowohl USB-Sticks wie auch der SD-Karten (im SD-Fach) nicht mehr gelesen werden. Im Gerätemanager werden die Ports mit ! angezeigt:
USB: PNY USB 3.0 FD USB Device / Das Gerät kann nicht gestartet werden. (Code 10)
SD: Ricoh SD Disk Device / Das Gerät kann nicht gestartet werden. (Code 10)
Treiben sollen aktuell sein und werden somit nicht aktuallisiert.
W530 mit WIN7 64bit
Sowohl die Windows- wie auch die Lenovo-Updates sind aktuallisiert.
In einem Lenovo-Werkstatt eine andere WIN7-HDD eingebaut: alles i. O.
Meiner Meinung nach hat wahrscheinlich irgend ein Update die Treiber zerschossen...
Wie komme ich weiter? Jemand von Euch eine Idee?

zunächst Danke für deine Unterstützung, ich komme erst jetzt es auszuprobieren.
Ich habe
- die Treiber im Gerätemanager deinstalliert, NB runtergefahren, NB wieder hochgefahren, USB-Stick eingesteckt
-Gerät komplett im Gerätemanager deinstalliert, NB runtergefahren, NB wieder hochgefahren, USB-Stick eingesteckt
- Das selbige unter abgesicherten Modus probiert
- Treiber versucht zu aktuallisieren
Immer mit dem gleichen Ergebnis:
Einerseits kommt die Meldung, dass die Gerätetreibersoftware nicht installiert wird, anderseits erscheint das Gerät im Gerätemanager (mit !), wenn man die Treiber versucht zu aktuallisieren geht es nicht weil diese aktuell sind und die optimale Treibersoftware installiert sein soll.
Nochmal, es ist kein W530 sondern ein WIN7 Problem:
Mit einer anderen Festplatte und WIN7 funktionieren die USB und SD Laufwerke...
Herzliche Grüße von ein verzweifelten Nutzer der noch auf der Suche nach einer Lösung ist

Adobe Photoshop CC kann nicht gestartet werden. Im Dock erscheint ein Fragezeichen statt des Ikons. Es kommt aber keine Fehlermeldung. Photoshop öffnet sich einfach nicht. Hat jemand eine Idee, woran das liegen kann? Habe letzte Woche OS X Mavericks installiert, kann das damit zusammen hängen?

Gehe in Deinen Programmordner und starte von dort. Dort kannst Du das Programmicon ins Dock ziehen, das bisherige einfach rausziehen.
Wenn Photoshop verloren gegangen ist, dann neu installieren. Kann auch sein.

Outlook2013 startet nicht ohne Exchange Cache

Hallo,
ich nutze Outlook 2013 mit Office365 auf einem Surface PRO 3(Win 8.1). Wenn ich im Outlook den Exchange-Cache deaktiviere und keine Internetverbindung vorhanden ist, so kann Outlook nicht neu gestartet werden. Es erscheint die Fehlermeldung:
"Microsoft Outlook kann nicht gestartet werden. Das Outlook-Fenster kann nicht geöffnet werden. Diese Ordnergruppe kann nicht geöffnet werden. Fehler bei der Anmeldung bei Microsoft Exchange."
Gleiches Verhalten tritt auch auf wenn ich Outlook Offline schalte.
Damit Outlook wieder gestartet werden kann, muss erst in der Systemsteuerung die E-Mail-Konteneinstellung überarbeitet und der Exchange-Cache aktiviert werden.
Kann mir jemand weiterhelfen?

I'm using Outlook 2013 with Office 365 on Surface Pro 3 (win 8.1). When I deactivate the Exchange cache and don't have an internet connection, Outlook doesn't open. I get the German Message
"Microsoft Outlook kann nicht gestartet werden. Das Outlook-Fenster kann nicht geöffnet werden. Diese Ordnergruppe kann nicht geöffnet werden. Fehler bei der Anmeldung bei Microsoft Exchange."
which translates to something like:
"Microsoft Outlook cannot be opened. The Outlook Window cannot be opened. This file group cannot be opened. Error with login on Microsoft Exchange."
(I'm sorry if I didn't get it quite right).
The same happens, when Outlook is in Offline-Mode and I have to activate the Exchange Cache via control panel in the e-mail account.

Everytime i get the same failuer message:

1. Diese Software unterstützt folgende Modelle. Stellen Sie sicher, dass Ihr Modell aufgelistet ist.
Canon MP493 series
Canon MX360 series
Canon MX410 series
Canon MX420 series
Canon MX880 series
Ist Ihr Modell nicht aufgelistet, installieren Sie die entsprechende Software MP Navigator oder MP Navigator EX.
2. Ein Ihr Modell unterstützender MP-Treiber/Scanner-Treiber ist installiert.
3. Ihr Modell ist ordnungsgemäß mit dem Computer verbunden und die Spannungsversorgung gegebenenfalls eingeschaltet.
4. Entfernen Sie gegebenenfalls das USB-Kabel und schließen Sie es wieder an.

K430 startet nicht nach missglückter Recovery

Ausgelöst durch ein Problem mit dem Ethernet-Adapter wollte ich auf dem K430 ein Recovery durchführen. Wegen eines Problems mit der benötigten Partition (benötigte Dateien werden nicht gefunden, könnten gelöscht sein), lässt sich der PC nicht mehr starten (WIN 8.1). Nach jedem Neustart kommen die zwei Fehlermeldungen und Win kann nicht gestartet werden. Wie kann ich diese Meldungen umgehen um den Rechner zumindest wieder im vorherigen Zustand zu starten? BIOS ist erreichbar, aber sonst keine anderen Funktionen, wie z.B. abgesichertert Modus.

Von der ersten wird gebootet, danach startet ein automatisierter Vorgang und die komplette Festplatte wird in den Werkszustand zurückversetzt, inklusive Partitionierung und allen vorinstallierten Programmen.
Nutzt bei Fragen zum Bestellen den Punkt "Kontakt" auf der Seite.

Adobe InDesign CS4 Debug WIN Installation

I need to port an InDesign CS3 plugin to InDesign CS4. In order to do that I've installed the Adobe InDesign CS4 Debug WIN but when I'm trying to start the application I receive the following error message in German: "Diese Anwendung konnte nicht gestartet werden, weil die Anwendungskonfiguration nicht korrekt ist. Zur Problembehebung sollten Sie die Anwendung neu installieren.". In english this should mean something like "This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Try to reinstall the application.".
The box I've tried installing on has visual studio C++ 2005 SP1 and InDesign CS3 Debug already installed (which works fine). I've looked through the requirements in the "InDesign® CS4 Read Me" and couldn't find anything that I'm missing.
Any ideas?

Hi Folks,
ID CS4 Debug and ID CS3 Debug can be installed on the same system. The likely reason that the CS4 version is giving that error is because the CS4 version needs some Visual Studio 2005 SP1 DLLs that aren't installed on the computer.
I believe that there are a couple of ways to fix this. One is to install Visual Studio 2005 SP1 (the recommended setup for CS4 plug-in development). When you install SP1 the DLLs needed by ID CS4 Debug will be installed. The other way, I think, is to not SP1, but install the release version of ID CS4 on your system. I understand that the ID CS4 Release version installer will install the DLLs needed by the debug version.
However, if you use VS2005 (no SP1 installed) for CS4 plug-in development you will not be using the recommended development environment for CS4. But if you install SP1, and you want to develop plug-ins for CS3, you will not be using the recommended development environment for CS3 plug-in development. Go figure.
Please note that once you install VS2005 SP1, any plug-ins that you compile will be looking for the SP1 version of the C/C++ Runtime DLLs when the plug-in is launched. The needed DLLs will be on your development system, so everything will seem fine when you test your CS3 plug-ins on your development computer. But when the plug-in is launched on a machine without the SP1 DLLs installed, the plug-in will not run.
I'm not sure of the best way to deal with this (I'm mainly a Mac guy), but there was a thread here entitled
Visual Studio 2005 SP1 about this issue a while back. This thread was partially deleted due to a forum software problem, and one of the ideas that was mentioned was lost from the message thread. From your original error message, the problem is most likely with the installation of the C/C++ SP1 runtime DLL on the machine that does not have the compiler. It's not so simple nowadays as copying over the DLLs, because Microsoft invented the side-by-side system, that allows having several versions of the same file on one machine.
Your options are installing the runtime on each machine (a package for that is available from Microsoft Download) or changing your project to the static runtime ("Multithreaded" instead of "Multithreaded DLL"). I always use static linking in plugins with no problems, although Adobe specifies dynamic in their instructions, but you avoid these "DLL hell" problems.

You're welcome.
Yes, that project change should do it. The difference is that with the "DLL" version, your plugin loads the C/C++ runtime shared library (DLL) at runtime and calls it for any needed functions (like strcpy, malloc, etc.). Without the "DLL", the linker puts the C/C++ runtime code directly into your plugin and you don't need the C/C++ runtime SP1 DLL (the error you're getting is because your plugin required the DLL and it's not found on that machine).
The C++ SP1 runtime shared library is different from the C++ non-SP1 library InDesign uses. In this new Windows "side-by-side" scheme, both can live together.
If you use the exact same C/C++ runtime that Adobe uses, then that library is physically shared and it allows to do some "risky" things as e.g. allocating memory in one module (e.g. InDesign) and freeing it in another (e.g. your plugin). But this is usually not recommended and I don't think Adobe is doing it (but then it's only my impression from the code structure).
Anyhow, from the moment you use the SP1 compiler, you're not sharing the runtime any more with InDesign, so it doesn't matter if you compile "MultiThreaded" instead of "MultiThreaded DLL". The difference between these is the size of the plugin and the easyness of distribution, and without DLL you miss possible "automatic" updates of the C++ runtime DLL (because the C/C++ runtime code is embedded in your plugin), but lately new versions of the C/C++ runtime become "different" DLLs, as you can see, so that's not so relevant any more - or if it's critical, you can always recompile your plugin and redistribute if needed.

Update Lightroom 5.0 - 5.5 (win) failed

Update from lightroom 5.0 (win 8.1, 64 bit) to 5.5 failed with following messages:
Das Feature das sie verwenden möchten, befindet sich auf einer Netzwerkressource, die nicht zur Verfügung steht. Geben sie einen anderen Ordner ein, der das Installationspaket Adobe_Lightroom_x64.msi enthält.
(The feature you want to use is placed in a network resource, which is not available. Fill in another folder, which contains Installationspaket Adobe_Lightroom_x64.msi).
Cancelling this message, a second message appears:
Die ältere Version von Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.5 64 bit kann nicht entfernt werden. Setzen sie sich mit ihrem technischen Supportpersonal in Verbindung.
(A previous version of Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.5 64 bit cannot be removed. Contact the technical support.)
Our Lightroom history:
installing Lightroom 5.0 64 bit (win 8.1)from CD, registration failed (WLAN problems)
programm could be started with the icon on the desktop.
Popup adviced update to 5.5
update process was started. update failed just before end.
Removing update folder from desktop
Removing lightroom 5.0 with windows deinstaller
New installation of lightroom 5.0 from CD, runs well, registration ok
update to 5.5 failed (error message see above)
the same error message appears, when I tried to install 5.4 update

Hi,
this seems to be a generic corrupted registry error causing deinstallation of many programs to fail. While i am not sure how often it occures, it did occure to me albeit witg different lightroom versions.
For me, this microsoft repair utility worked rather nice:
