Idea. Not sure if its available option

I did some searching on a few occasions but have not been able to find what im looking for.
Maybe I have used the wrong terms in the search IDK.
What I would find incredibly useful between my Imac, Iphone and if I bought an ipad is the ability to seamlesly move what im reading (often a forum on a webpage in Chrome or Safari) between devices.
So while im reading a lenthly article, lecture or theisis on my computer, at the push of a couple of buttons built into the OS have that transfered directly to the device I choose E.G Iphone, Ipad so forth.
edit - Im not talking about bookmarks but, actually transfering exactly what your reading between devices so once I have clicked or done whatever is needed, the same document at the same location as it was displayed on the begining device is instantly displayed on the next device so I can continue reading
Sorry if this application is already available. I have just not been able to find it, and honestly think it would be very useful - if at all possible.

I've got itunes 7 installed and so far it runs OK.
I'm not getting any of the problems other people
seem to be having...(famous last words)
HOWEVER
I insert my ipod (30gb 5th Gen)
i tunes tell me the software need updating, I click
"update" after 30-45 second I get a message that
basically tell me that another application is using
the ipod and itunes can't update it.
my ipod is showing in "my computer" as a removable
drive but disk mode isn't enabled on the ipod summary
(within itunes)
Am i being a numpty here and just missing something
REALLY obvious ? are other people having the same
problem ?
has itunes struck again ?

Lojack for laptops - if that is the product you purchased and installed, you will need to read the user manual or contact the manufacturer as it is 3rd party. You did file a police report right?

HELP! Resetting all setting on iphone 5, but then i tried to restart it. Not sure if its stuck or resetting

Hi if you seen my previous post, or you might have not. My safari app isn't working and the setting for safari in setting insn't responding. I reset all setting hoping this would work and fix the problem. However, i held both the home and off button because i didn't want to do the reset anymore because i was stuck at one place for a long time. the reset with the home did happen, but the resetting all setting is still happening and progress bar hasn't move. Im not sure if its stuck or if its just taking a while.

Bought 64gb playbook from amazon and not sure if its new or refurbished.

Bought 64gb playbook from amazon for my daughter and not sure if its new or refurbished. Tablet has small fine scratches on the back, hair stuck in the casing, no screen protector, brown adaptor box has had label of some kind removed, adapter inside is loosely bound. Amazon supplier advises me to return but also that it isn't supplied with a screen protector or cover and adapter is new and packaged in a brown box. Not sure whether to accept a replacement or just get a refund. A bit concerned that this is a refurbished item being supplied as new.

settigns>itunes and app store to make sure you are signed in.. If you are, you will see your account name..... anyhow, click your account name, sign out and sign back in
also go to to settings>general>reset and reset network settings... if that doesnt work settings>general>reset and reset all settings!
one of those shall work. The last step would be to restore your device (apple.com/support) HT1414

Updated but not sure if its right

i updated my firmware version for my N97 from 10.0.012 > 11.0.021 but im not sure if its right, when i do *#0000# it shows my new version of the software, but my internal memory stays intact, i did not lose any files(even though i did a backup) is that alright? did any of u guys have the memory wipedout after the update? help pls asap im very new to this

Nokia n95 not sure if its for me

Hi I just recently got the N95. I wanted to stay with nokia but really only bought it for the camera, don't really need most of the applications and the battery life is rubbish. Thinking about the 6500 slide. Anyone got any ideas?? I do like the phone but friend has the 6500 and happy with the camera.

My program doesn't show any error.
But I am not sure if it's really executing in background....how to find out?
I have checked in SM37 and my
duration time is 0
delay time is 25 secs
status - released
startdate & time is empty.
Does this mean it never ran in background?

In SM37 i have
Status as : canceled.
have start time
have start date.
duration as 567
delay as 60 secs.
which is better that what i have done previously....Now i get the duration time, start date, start time.
How can i escape from "canceled"?

HT4623 My ipod4 doesn't have the 'Software Update' how do I update it without that? I'm not sure if its like ios 4.1 or 4.3 etc but It is a ios4 .

Black macbook: not sure if its the fan, or something else (noise)

I got this macbook is september. I had no issues with it, when suddenly it began making noises. Now, I'm a gadget-blog reader, so I've been aware of Macbooks making the "moooo" sound from the fan; however, I'm not sure if my noise is the fan or something else. I get more of a "whrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr" noise.
1) I have the macbook plugged in
2) I leave it on all the time
3) It began to hear the "whrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr" when:
a) activate visualizer in iTUNES
b) download shows off iTUNES
c) have a bunch of windows open and the 512MB Memory is struggling to access each window, if I say, I want to close them.
Considering this is the uncrashable, flexible, awesome OSX, and should be pesk-free, like say WINXP...I would expect such problems to not exist on the glossy OSX.
I'm currently studying abroad in the United Kingdom. I bought this macbook in San Francisco just before I left. I have plenty of warranty left. Is this a big issue? It annoys the **** out of me. None of the macbooks demoed in the store had this problem. So in a way, this is false advertising, since I'm reading that a lot of people have this noise issue.
I've fully updated my firmwares with software updater, but I still get the noise. So I'm at situation that needs some outside help as to what I should do.

hard to say if it is serious or not. have you tried resetting the pmu? http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=303319 that could very well help the matter.

I have a ASA5505(base model) that my sales rep said would do what I need, but after trying to set it up I think I either need upgrades or a different product.
Allow me to explain what I'm trying to do and then hopefully someone will be able to advise. (note: I'm not super experienced with cisco gear, and will most likely be using the config gui software to setup and manage the device unless forced to use the shell.)
I have a /28 IP range from my isp, of which I'm trying to use 7 IPs, we'll say xxx.xxx.xxx.xx1 - .xx7
Behind the firewall is a Hyper-v server with multiple customer VMs on it. Each customer has a private NIC and a distinct subnet 192.168.1.x - 192.168.7.x
Each IP is connected to different internal network and needs to provide its own port forwarding rules as well as site-to-site vpn to that internal network. there will generally only be 1-2 devices on each internal network but they need to be segregated as they belong to different customers.
xxx.xxx.xxx.xx1 -->nat to --> 192.168.1.x with port forwarding and s2s vpn
xxx.xxx.xxx.xx2 -->nat to --> 192.168.2.x with port forwarding and s2s vpn
etc
The server is in the same rack as the firewall and is directly patched, so there is no trunking or switching concerns.
I get the feeling I'm either reinventing the wheel here or missing an obvious solution, but what I was trying to do was make 7 internal interfaces, (1 per switch port and assign each to be the gateway for its subnet, This looked great until I ran into a licence restriction, so here I am.
The above is my ideal situation, as each customer needs site to site vpn, and privacy. The cost is a factor, so I'm ok with paying for additional options on this unit, or buying another small product, but I'm not interested in spending 10k+ on some massive enterprise unit just to get 7 customers on 1 box.

The 5505 is limited to 3 VLANs if you are assigning VLANs per physical interface (data sheet specification).
If you use a trunk, you can configure up to 20 VLANs. The Security Plus license (ASA5505-SEC-PL=) is necessary. "show version" will tell you whether you have the Base or Security Plus license.

My macbook pro is moving on its own. Not sure if its being remotely controlled or if its a bug but its annoying!!

I have a 15inch Macbook Pro that has recently been acting wacky. It feels like someone else is controlling my computer but all my sharing featured are turned off and i have my firewall on so i doubt its being remote controlled. Using my cursor is a constant battle. Sometimes its fine other times it won't cooperate. At random times the cursor will move and highlight a word and define it. YES Define the highlighted word. While on safari it'll randomly zoom in on the webpage im on, and contiue to highlight and try to switch pages. It'll switch from desktop to dashboard on its own as well as make my launch pad disappear and reaapear. without me touching it at all. SOMEONE HELP !

There are several possible causes for this issue. Please take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried until it's resolved. Some may not apply in your case.
1. Follow the instructions in this support article, and also this one, if applicable. A damaged or defective AC adapter could be the cause, even if it's the right kind.
2. Open the Bluetooth preference pane in System Preferences and delete all pointing devices other than the trackpad, if applicable. Disconnect any USB pointing devices. By a "pointing device," I mean a peripheral that moves the cursor, such as a trackpad, mouse, trackball, or graphics tablet. A plain keyboard is not a pointing device.
3. Start up in safe mode and test, preferably without launching any third-party applications. If you don't have the problem in safe mode, but it comes back when you restart as usual, stop here and post your results. Do the same if you can't start in safe mode. If there was no difference in safe mode, go on to the next step.
4. Reset the System Management Controller.
5. If you're using a Bluetooth trackpad, investigate potential sources of interference, including USB 3 devices.
6. A swollen battery in a portable computer can impinge on the trackpad from below and cause erratic behavior. If you have trouble clicking the trackpad, this is likely the reason. The battery must be replaced without delay.
7. Press down all four corners of the trackpad at once and release. If there's any effect, it's likely to be temporary, and the unit needs to be serviced or replaced.
8. There's a report that a (possibly defective) Thunderbolt Ethernet adapter can cause the built-in trackpad of a MacBook to behave erratically. If you're using such an adapter, disconnect it and test.
9. There's also a report of erratic cursor movements caused by an external display that was connected but not turned on.
10. If none of the above applies, or if you have another reason to think that your computer is being remotely controlled, remove it from the network by turning off Wi-Fi (or your Wi-Fi access point), disconnecting from a Bluetooth network link, and unplugging the Ethernet cable or USB modem, whichever is applicable. If the cursor movements stop at once, you should suspect an intrusion.
11. Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store to have the machine and/or external trackpad tested.

IPhone 3gs problem i'm not sure if its bricked or not

Hello, my iphone suddenly wont turn on but when i put it on charge it turns but only the iphoen screen where it shows the itunes logo indacting u to plug iphone into itunes pops up but when i connect iphone to a computer it doesnt recongnize the iphone until i put it in recovery mode then it reccognize is it and connects and asks for a restore. When i attempt the restore it extracts update package and after its doen that thats when the iphone switches off and turns back and and it jsut keeps on switching on and off and for about 3-4 times and then an error messager comes up sayin "the iphone "iphone" can not be restored. An unknow error occured (1611) and thats when the iphone turns back opn and it shows the itunes logo indicating connect to itunes. Whats wron g with the phone and how can i fix this problem? Is it permanetly broke? how can i fix this? Thanks for al the help.

Error 1611 indicates a hardware failure. You will not be able to restore your phone if, in fact, it has suffered a hardware failure. To confirm, try restoring on a different computer. If you get the same error, this would tend to confirm a hardware failure. If under warranty, make an appointment at an Apple store to have your phone replaced. If out of warranty, Apple has an out of warranty replacement program, cost in the US is $199 or you can google third party repair shops in your area.

Error popup im not sure if its to do with firefox , a box appears with a looks like a film icon with several dots in the bottom

i have a persitant error popup whilst on my computer , it looks like a film icon and has several dots in the bottom of it , i have tried to investigate but come up with no solution , when i use firefox to clean my comp there is lots of mgbites for this error message , so i have taken google of and that seems to have stopped the error message in the ccleaner but it still keeps popping up , can anyone solve this for me

First, let me thank you again for your time and attention to my inquiry. I do wish Firefox and the Mozilla community well -- and I would agree that not nearly everyone who has downloaded version 4 has complained.
OTOH, I don't know what your multiplier is -- that is, how many downloaders on average actually having some kind of problem it takes for one of them/us to find it worth her/his time and trouble to input complaints this way. And thousands of messages does also still add up to quite a number of different problems. And my PC is old enough that it is perhaps more susceptible to problems and limitations.
So I have downloaded version 4 -- but I'm not planning to install it immediately . . . not until I have the time and patience accumulated to handle installation and its problems, whether they're teething problems or teasing problems or absolute lockdown/drag-out fights.
