Idea tab A2109A-F touchscreen not working after 2 days of usage

I bought my A2109A-F last thursday while traveling to Florida...
now back to Brazil - using the tab for just 2 days and my touch screen just won't work
I found a couple of posts suggesting a way to boot it and wipe out the data (Factory Reset)
tried that - done that
touch screen just won't work - 2 DAYS using it
well - what can I do to get it fixed - it is as useful as a paper weight as it is - a really expensive paper weight

It sounds like returning it to store you bought it for exchange isn't possible for you, so I'd suggest warranty repair.

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have looked into your issue about your HP Pavilion 14z-n200 TouchSmart CTO Notebook and the Touchscreen not working correctly. If you follow this document it will show you how to correct this issue.
You can do a system restore. System restore will help if something automatically updated and did not go well on the Notebook.
When performing a System restore please note remove any and all USB devices. Disconnect all non-essential devices as they can cause issues.

Tabbed and accordion widgets not working after latest export.

The accordion widget was working on the sites I built, but now when I export the sites after changes, the accordion and tabbed panels don't work.
The link below shows the old accordion and the new one I was placed from Muse.

This one didn't work though. I tried removing the clear Lock line, and I don't get any errors. But then it doesn't work properly.

The FN keys are controlled by Value Added Package and Flash Cards Support Utility. I think you have forgotten to install these tools
You should check the Toshiba page again and download both tools. Start with installation of Value Added Package then restart your notebook. After this install Flash Cards Support Utility. Once again restart and all FN keys should work properly now.

Touchscreen not working after reformating

I had to reformat my computer and everything is working fine except for the touchscreen. I reinstalled the pen driver but that work. When i try to go to "Pen table properties" in control panel is says "a supported tablet was not found on the system". I'm guessing that the tablet driver was not installed but I cannot find this on the HP website. I don't have my digitier pen anymore and i don't care about that, i just want to be able to use my finger with the touchscreen like I could before. Please help.

I grasp that you have reformatted the hard drive and everything is working except for the touchscreen.
How did you format the drive, did you do a factory recovery?

If this has not worked I suggest you install the original drivers using recovery manager and then run the HP support assistant for updates.
Using Recovery Manager to Restore Software and Drivers (Windows 7)
Have you Using Automated Troubleshooting (Windows 7) to overcome this difficulty.
If the issue remains I would do a full factory recovery. This return back to its original condition. Performing an HP system recovery (Windows 7). During the recovery you will be presented with an opportunity to backup your personal files to prevent loss. If you have not done one, it is the perfect time. Restoring Files that were Backed Up Using HP Recovery Manager (Windows 7)
If you used another method of reinstall your Windows 7 and you did not create recovery disk, if you are in the US you can order them by following the links on the driver page. If you are not in the US please call HP support and inquire about obtaining a recovery kit.

Touchscreen not working after windows 10 update.

Hello,I own an HP-Pavillion 15-n287cl touchscreen laptop. I updated my operating system today to windows 10, but after finishing the update my touchscreen dosen't seem to work. In fact it is not even reognized under the human interfaces tab in the device manager. I have tried intaling the HP drivers from the support assistant and the website but it still dosen't work. Any help on this would be much appreciated. regards.

It is not quite so simple.Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 do have native suport for touchscreens. There is the consideration that Windows 10 is a brand new OS. It has only been available to the general public for a single day. I am upgrading my current HP loaner HP Omen to Windows 10 Pro as I type this. I will know if the touchscreen works when it is complete. I am sure you don't completely rely on the touchscreen for input to the operating system. I only use the touchscreen once in agreat while if I even think about it. Wait for a few days and keep on trying the Windows update option. It will take some patience on your part. edit: The Windows 10 Pro update is complete. The touchscreen is still working just as it did before.

Iconia Tab 8 W Touch not working after update to Windows 10

So, I have an Iconia Tab 8 W which came with Windows 8.1. I updated to Windows 10 but there seems to be some issue with the default graphic card driver since the touch doesn't work (works during the installation process so it's not a hardware problem). I managed to plug it into a powered USB hub and get a classic mouse-keyboard setup working but the touch is still dead. I found drivers on the ACER website but not only do they not have any sort of "setup" or "install" file, the Graphic Card doesn't show at all on the device manager. So, the "update driver" option is not an option. I've tried reverting to Windows 8.1 but the place where this option should be doesn't show it. I can only clean up the PC or boot into safe mode. Tried both, none works. As a last resort, I downloaded the Windows 8.1 media creation tool and booted into it to reinstall Windows 8.1 but now it asks me for the Windows key which is no where to be found. Anybody got any ideas?

IIRC the touch driver and te graphics driver are two quite different things. The touchscreen digitizer looks to the system like a USB device, so a problem would show up in Device Manager either as a USB problem or a HID problem. Try W10 again but this time look into the different secions of DM for the issue.

HP Touchsmart 320-1030 Touchscreen Not working after update

Hello I bought a hp touchsmart 320-1030 pre loaded with windows 8 and once i took the free update to windows 8.1 my sound driver and touchscreen driver went. I managed to get a sound driver working but I cannot figure out this touchscreen problem. I see there are no windows 8.1 drivers but i cant find a windws 8 driver either. What should I do?

Terrence, welcome to the forum.
From what I have read, you will need the video driver for the computer. This should solve your problem with the touchscreen.

Hi I am having the same issue and the solutions you have suggested seem not to work. Is there no where the driver for the touch screen is available as this seems like the basic issue and quite a common issue for anyone who clean installs their stream PC? I am happy to purchse a restore disc, however this doesn't seem to be available either in the support section. Can you please help! Thanks Fuzzbubble

I have looked into your issue about your HP Stream x360 and issues with the Touchscreen. Here is a link to troubleshoot the Touchscreen. In the link you will notice a configure the touch display. Having the same problem with the same Laptop. Yes, full shutdown, numerous times. All Windows Updates addressed. First problem is that there is no programme installed called "Tablet PC Settings" - probably because it's not a tablet ? When I go to Perform UEFI Hardware Diagnostics tests to detect problems with the notebook touch screen hardware. This tells me there is no problem with the hardware, so it seems to suggest it's a software issue. I am loathe to do an entire system restore based on something that should probably be easily solvable.

All notebooks with Windows 8 feature Tablet PC settings and other touch screen-related features, regardless of whether the notebook features a touch screen. This is used as an operating system default. If you have already attempted to configure the touch display, and enabled the touch screen driver in Device Manager, then the only remaining step is to perform an HP System Recovery on your computer. This will help rule out any remaining software issues that may be contributing to this issue. This can be done by following the steps in this resource on
Backing Up Your Files (Windows 8), as well as Performing an HP system recovery (Windows 8). This should return your system back to factory defaults.
If the issue continues, please contact our technical support for further assistance in this matter by clicking the link below to get the support number for your region.

What are you setting it up as.. join wireless network .. the very worst setup, it will disappear.. reboot the whole network in order modem. router TC.. clients and it will likely reappear.
Tell us what network setup you are using..
If you setup with cable to a computer completely isolated from the network with TC also isolated.. finish the setup of everything you want. .before update.. then plug it into the network. .then restart everything in correct order.. it will work most of the time.

after 2,5 days (spending half a day within the apple shop as well with this problem) i have it all back on track.
i did a lot of different things: trying to remove and reinstall iPhoto; did a SL installation over the old SL I had on my HD; backing up all the data of course before and reformatting my HD and installing a new clean SL version on it + a new clean version of iLife9 with all the updates and than I migrate with migrate assistant all the data and setting with time machine back onto it, but all this didn't work, because it also migrated the error/bug through time machine with it.
so at the end i just installed a brand new, clean SL version on my hard drive, than I did the updates and put all my data, photos, docs, movies, mail, bookmarks, music, etc manual back into the system (drag and drop from my external HD, where i had an exact copy of my internal HD) and did all the settings again in all the different programs.
the only thing i used migrant assistant with time machine for was for the programs. it seems to work now all fine and i even got more free space on my HD, because some of the old stuff i always carried with me but i never used, i didn't take over.
basically everything is clean now. At least i hope and works fine. touch wood!

Touchscreen is not working after updates on Windows

My touchscreen stopped working after the Windows updates on my laptop froze. I have went through all the settings of the pen and touch and others to resolve this problem and unfortunately it is still not working. I have also rebooted the laptop to factory settings as well as updating all the things which needed to updated and updated softwares from the HP website recommended and I have updated the BIOS but still the touchscreen is not functioning.
