Idea Tab A3000, Driver Problem

Hi.. I have two major issue for my Idae Tab 3000H having double SIM without calling facility.
1) My Idea pad A3000H is not installing while connecting to the USB port in the OFF mode.
2) Though the hardware is there but I couldnot call as there is no calling facility even with double SIM.
Both the problems are quite irritating as I couldnot access programs like whatsapp. Please suggest me the remedy of my problems (problem 1 and problem 2)

It's distinguishing feature is the dual SIM card function - a rare find in tablets.
The latest firmware version is 131112 with full Call(voice) functions here in the Philippines (I believe in Asia).

You can connect A3000 to the PC's port with the cable provided for data transferring with the PC. There are 3 connection methods available, USB storage, Media device (MTP) and Camera (PTP)

tap 3 vertical square's icon(Advanced menu) on top left
tap USB computer connection

Idea tab A3000 Streaming live TV

I have dipped my toe into the tablet water, with the A3000 for the specific purpose of streaming live TV and online video to my TV via a dongle.
I have BT infinity WIFI with a excelant signal and 24.6Mb download speed.
You tube and other online video works with no problems at all, no buffering, no drop outs.
I have tried the following apps:-
BBCi player (including the required plug in)
TV catchup
TV guide
They all do the same thing, the live program plays for around 2 minutes then either the picture dissapears, it buffers or an error message comes up.
Is there a setting I need to change in the tablet menu? Any help appreciated.

I had a go with my UK spec A3000, I have the same problem on iPlayer but not on TVcatchup or SkyGo, playing the same BBC streams. iPlayer was fine on non-live video. I tried BBC1 and BBCnews. Since I use TVcatchup or SkyGo for most of my tablet based watching I had never experienced the problem until you drew it my my attention.
Table firmware is A3000_A422_003_026_130823_WW_SMS_FUSE
Internet connection is Sky ADSL, 23Mb clocking rate to the exchange (I'm only 200 meters away).
I'll watch out for this in the future.

as an a3000 owner that issue has came up with mine try resetting ur machine and selecting it back to auto rotate on issue should its self if not find a repair tech buy DO NOT use lenovo they will mess it up and refuse to fix it they have had mine for a month and refuse to fix there screw up also don't use geeksquad all they will do is over charge you and send it to lenovo so try a local shop or something if the previously stated fix does not work

Idea Tab A3000 can't read SIM 1

I have just recently passed this table to my kid to use. It was working flawlessly for me since i had it. Both the sim card 1 and 2 worked. The 3g and the 2g worked.
Yesterday i had a full factory reset before giving it to my daughter. When we put her simcard in slot one. It keeps saying that there is no sim. So we tried putting it in sim 2. It worked! But she wants 3g, 2g is something she can't live with lol. Then we put it back to sim 1. Still not detecting
We took her brother's sim card and put it in slot 1. It worked! With 3g all functioning. But when we put her sim inside again to slot 1. It was still not detecting
We just came back from requesting a new sim card for her number. It still doesnt work.. OH GOOD HEAVENS. I am about to loose my mind. What could be wrong?
I don't think the sim tray is faulty coz it reads mine and my son's sim card perfectly. I don't think its the sim thats faulty, we just changed it to a new one!

i found out by chance that the Skype extension was causing this problem when I uninstalled it because of problems with Google Maps. Now all is OK.

I just upgraded my iPhone4s to iOS7 and now I am unable to make phone calls and send/receive text messages. Network signal indicator on the upper left side of the display shows hollow circles instead of full circles. Any idea how to fix the problem?

I checked with my colleagues in the office who use the same network and theirs work just fine on iOS7. Any idea how to fix the problem?

I have also called my service provider and my service remains active in the network. I tried removing and reinserting my SIM but to no avail.

Idea Tab S5000 touch problem

Hello all. I'm new to Lenovo community forum. I have an Idea Tab S5000,which I purchased from Amazon on April third this year Tthe touchscreen suddenly became unresponsive. I tried the factory reset and it worked untill the next time tried to log into tablet, then back to not working. Now my tablet sits on the lock screen and wont recognize any touch on the screen Any help would be greatly appreciated.
P.S. When I did the factory reset, the lines of text were all in chinese, so I'm not sure what I did to get it to let me login once.

Welcome to the Lenovo Forums.
From your observation, I suspect a faulty Touch Panel.
Can you try the following:
1. Press and hold the power button for 10-15secs until the tablet turns off.
2. Turn ON the table and press both the Vol+ and the Vol- keys while the tablet is booting. You will then see a recovery menu similar to one of the images below. Try and run the recovery one more time and observe.

In addition, pressing Vol+ while the tablet is booting up will go to a device diagnostic menu where you can tests the device hardware.
If the keys above doesn't work or if recovery still doesn't fix the touchscreen problem then I recommend you contact lenovo and report the issue.

SOLVED:Tabs is not displayed correctly?

I have a very strange problem which I can't really understand why APEX behaves it way it does (well I've probably told APEX to do so, but I can't understand why).
I have 3 Parent Tabs:
T_PAGE1
T_REPORTS
T_ADMIN
All of the Parent Tabs have one or more Standard Tabs associated to them. And each Standard Tab is associated with one or more pages.
But the strange thing is that I have associated page 3 with a std tab which then belongs to the T_REPORTS Parent Tab. If I run the page the Parent Tabs are not displayed at all, but the Standard Tab is (and also the breadcrumb). I did assign the tabs to the page when I created the page and I have retried the same thing a couple of times with the same result.
And if I run any other page in my application I can see the Parent Tabs and if I click on the Parent Tab (T_REPORTS) the Parent Tabs disappears and I only see the std tab.
Any ideas or is this completely confusing for you as it is for me ???

I should really make myself a martini and stop thinking that I can build APEX apps. The issue was that I had assigned my T_REPORTS Tab with the wrong Parent Tab. Doh!

Display Problem with RowHeader of a Scroll Pane

Any ideas?

Again the problem is that when you click on the row headers, some row header rows go blank (completely white) so you can't see what they show.
ie say I have table
Row 1 - 1 2 3
Row 2 - 2 4 5
Row 3 - 5 7 7
Row 4 - 5 6 7where Row X is the row header. So for example, if you click on Row 2, you will get something like
Row 1 - 1 2 3
Row 2 - 2 4 5
      - 5 7 7
Row 4 - 5 6 7until the screen is refreshed or you click some other row header.
hmm ok, I added calling repaint on the table whenever a row is selected and at least the display problem goes away; however, the selected indexes from the event don't always match the index of the row selected. I think actually that may be the source of the display problem.
Here is the code I added in the constructor:
        getSelectionModel().addListSelectionListener(new ListSelectionListener()

Excise tab is not displaying in migo

Hi,
for one material, purchase order has done. when i am going to do migo against purchase order, the excise invoice & excise items tab is not displaying.
note:- for all other materials(purchase order), excise tab is displaying.
could you please solve this problem.

Check the problem with repect to the material,
Check if the Tax % is assigned properly for the combination of tht material. check J1ID,
Is in the PO the excise amount calculated? Check the condition records?

i am getting one problem,
eg:- when i received a material in MIGO with Excise Details, all are happening properly, but when i am going to see the Material Document in Display mode, that time i am not able to see Excise tab.
due to that problem, i am not able to post Excise invoice in system.

Hi,
You have two issues:
1. Capture excise in MIGO t.code
2.Display mode of Material Document , need to view Excise tab.
For 2nd issue you need get authorization for Display Material Document with excise details
For 1st issue follow setting:
As you needed excise to be capture in t.code:MIGO, you need to do following settings:
Select check boxes of "EI capture" & "Post EI in MIGO" in MIGO Settings segment in Maintaining Excise Group setting in following path:
SPRO --- >Logistics general - > tax on Goods Movements- >India --- >Basic setting --- >Maintain Excise Groups
NOTE: Also set "Duty different at GR" check box in case manual entry excises value in case of Dealer Invoice.
Also set entry of 101 Movement Type for capturing Excise Duties in following path:
SPRO --- >Logistics general - > tax on Goods Movements- >India - >Business Transactions->Specify Which Movement Types Involve Excise Invoices

Weird event display problem in week view

Hi. I'm getting a weird display problem in week view. First time this has ever happened.
Some events appear to be missing, but when i double click on where I know the event is supposed to be, a new event is created (as excepted), and the missing events suddenly appear. When i move forward or back by a week, and then return to the week in question, the missing events are gone again. But, I can see the missing events in day view or month view.
Any ideas?

Next, try reinstalling the Mac OS X v10.6.2 Update (Combo).
If that is unsuccessful:
1. Use iCal>Export...>for each one of your individual calendars.
2. Delete all but one of your calendars.
3. Create a calendar and name it "Test."
4. Delete the calendar which remained after step #2.
5. Quit iCal.
6. Remove the iCal plist, and drag the iCal plist file to your Desktop.
7. Log out/in or restart.
8. Restart iCal and use iCal>File>Import...for each one of the calendars that you exported in step #1.
9. Delete the "Test" calendar, and any "Home/Work" calendar which was automatically created when you opened iCal in step #8.

Excise tab page not displayed during goods receipt for material.

Dear All,
The issue is we are doing GR for a PO in MIGO.Now the excise tab page is displayed in case of all other matl except for one.The matl type is manufacturing matl for this particular matl.I have checked all the settings in J1ID, also checked the tax code they are ok.can anyone guide me with any other possible solutions to this.

Windows 7 64 bit on iMac display problems and instability

I received my iMac 27" quad core with 8 gig ram & 2 x 1 TB hard drives last Friday. I'm using Boot Camp to run windows 7 64 bit on maximum 2560 x 1440 screen resolution.
I get intermittent but often display problems in windows 7. I get areas of the screen covered in little yellow dots or blue squares (never red artefacts.) This will happen at random areas of the screen, inside an open window, around borders of windows and so on. Most often the screen will go black and come back with a message in the bottom right corner of the screen saying 'Display driver has stopped responding and has recovered' with the sub message saying 'display driver ATI radeon family stopped....etc'. Sometimes I lose the screen wallpaper. Once I've had the system just shut down, once I've had Photoshop seize up and I had to do a cold reboot. Could this be an overheating problem or resolution too high problem or driver problem? Windows 7 tells me my drivers are up to date. I tried installing the drivers for the card from ATI's website which made no difference
The reason I bought a Mac is because it's the only effective way to code for the Mac family of OS's in XCode. The reason I didn't just attach a miniMac to my PC monitor was because there's rather a lot of advertising by Apple about the fact that you can use a Mac with a PC OS via Apple's own Boot Camp. Now I have a lot of Windows software (some of which is not available for the Mac or requires buying again) sitting on an unstable system. Any ideas would be much appreciated...

Summary (my own edit steps):
1. Install Boot Camp 3.0 and upgrade to 3.1
2. Uninstall graphic drivers and run Driver Sweeper

instead of:
removing the crashing driver by going into windows 7 setup via its install cd and deleting the ati driver manaully
3. Install ATI Mobility (link)
4. Uninstall ATI (Programs control panel?) Device Manager (rollback; uninstall?)
5. Device Nanager: update driver and BROWSE BACK to 8.681 (the original apple driver that was causing freezes and purple artifacts) - navigate to /Apple/Drivers/ATI
(Apple uses) a 4850 card in the iMac, its modified a bit for apple. Enough that desktop drivers don't work, and modded-for-laptop desktop drivers don't work either.
Now the upshot of using modified drivers is that it FORCES the catalyst control panel to be installed, meaning you get a few more options to mess around with the card.
I couldn't use the original apple drive, it locks up, the newer one had banding, the newer radeon drivers direct form ATI wouldn't work until they were modded and then they cause black screens.
SO the solution, as obscure as it was, was to download ACTUAL mobility Radeon drivers - version 10.3 still, but made for laptops.

THESE drivers I was able to install - and here is where things changed.
THIS driver changed they way windows saw the video card in device manager.
As I mentioned before, its NOT a desktop card, its a modified laptop card, but installing mac drivers makes windows THINK its a full desktop card, and running the original 8.681 driver crashed it.
Once installed 10.3 LAPTOP driver it now appeared in device manager as a MOBILITY card.
+These Steps "should" work:+
delete ATI driver manually
reinstall apple driver after that and see if that works,
otherwise try the steps above
(mod drivers, remove via windows recovery off setup disk, install laptop drivers, reinstall apple driver over it)
