IdeaCentre B320 Win 8 64bit

In the last few days, I have had trouble when booting up. The Windows logo comes on but instead of going  on to the log in screen, the screen just goes black although I can see that the backlight is on. I wait for sveral minutes but nothing so I power off using the power button. Usually when I try to reboot, the pc comes on, but today, Windows had to restore because of a problem. I haven't done or installed anything (honest!. It seems that the problem may be getting progressively worse.
I have downloaded the Lenovo Solution Center Program and performed a scan but no problems were found. Any suggestions?

hi elliotsdad,
Welcome to the Lenovo Forums.
Can you try to:
1. Boot into Safe Mode and see iif the problem reoccurs.
2. If the unit is ok on Safe Mode, there's probably a startup program that's causing the delay, try to perform a clean boot.
3. Update your display driver below:
AMD VGA Driver
Windows 8 32bit / 64bit
h1100433.exe
172 MB
Let me know your findings
Cheers

  • IdeaCentre B320 - Windows 8 64bit drivers for AMD radeon HD 7450 card

I have upgraded my recently bought B320 all-in-one to Windows 8 and now have a problem with video card drivers for HD7450 graphics card. Default Win 8's driver (named something like Windows Radeon HD7400 series ) works just fine, but it have no OpenGL support and therefor I can not run some games like Minecraft. Catalyst drivers available from AMD website can not detect the video card (probably because it have lenovo-specific oem ids?), and on lenovo downloads only 32bit drivers are available for AMD cards.
Was anyone able to get catalyst drivers working on B320 with 64bit Windows 8?
May be there is a compatible lenovo desktop or all-in-one which already have those drivers? And will Lenovo release 64bit video drivers for B320 anytime soon?

Till a better idea comes along:
Don't know if you have tried this but first thing I'd do is go to control panel/system/device manager, find the devices, right click and ask for it to update the drivers.  If there are new ones around they should be found.
The only drivers Lenovo offers for the b320 are 32 for some reason and they may not be the best.  I had a dead card reader, downloaded their drivers, and it did no good, asked the machine to update the driver, it did and it worked.  I don't know where it found the driver but it was not lenovos download page.
Hopefully they will get some updated stuff soon.  The tv software is poor at best.

  • IdeaCentre B320 - Veriface application, how can I download this?

I have just received my IdeaCentre B320 All-in-one desktop PC and am absolutely loving it!
When I was looking through the specs before I bought it they stated that one of the features of the desktop was the Veriface application.  However I cannot find it on the computer and am wondering if I have to download it and where I would download it from?
Any help would be much appreciated!

I'm not sure about Veriface but, there is a Veritouch application for the B520. I have not used it yet therefore, I can't tell you how well it works.

  • IdeaCentre B320 black screen

My Ideacentre B320 gets a black screen on startup but I can hear Windows starting normally and when I try the TV I only get the Lenovo logo screen and nothing else. I found a post from someone with the exact same problem but with a B340. It turned out to be the scalar board on the B340 - unfortunately the B320 does not have a scalar board. Does anyone know what the equivalent would be on the B320? Any help is greatly appreciated.

from the moment you turn on your pc do you get any images?
if you are getting an image and have a usb stick about you could try a linux live cd/usb and see if its your current install of windows causing the problem http://www.porteus.org/

  • Bluetooth of Ideacentre B320 is missing

    Hello anyone
Now, I used Ideacentre B320 all in one around 2 month. I need to connected and pairing with a bluetooth head-set. However, I did not found the bluetooth icon from anywhere in my computer. But, my bluetooth mouse and keyboard still working. Moreover, my bluetooth light at left below of monitor still lighting.
I try to solving this problem by  uninstall and reinstall the bluetooth driver again. The driver show that can not install complete. I try many times by another driver but unsuccess.
I would like to ask anyone to help me fix my problem. Here is my last hope. Please, help me.
    Thank you very much

I have no driver CD with my computer. But, I download from internet for "blustooth driver for window 7 64 bit" and "bluetooth driver for Ideacentre b320". Both of them unsuccess installation. Then, I using automatic download via automatic download center (lenevo software). It is also not work.
    What is your suggestion next?
Thank you everyone for your time.

  • Disable the TV features entirely? (IdeaCentre B320)

Is there a way to disable the TV features on an IdeaCentre B320 entirely?
I work with a user who is let's just say, not computer-savvy who has a B320. She has has no need for the television functions at all, and is often confused when she accidentally activate it either as PIP or full screen, which happens a LOT more often than you might expect.
She's not satisfied with the simple path to get back to her Windows desktop, so I'm hoping there's some way to just disable the TV altogether. Can anyone think of a way to do this?

Some things yoi could try if noone comes up with a defintive answer.
Try uninstalling drivers and pull the card though have my doubts.  Take away the remote and tape the tv on the side might be easier.

  • IdeaCentre B320 doesn't boot into windows

When I turn on my brand new IdeaCentre B320 all I get is a "No signal" message. Windows seems to boot in the background (the hard disk indicator LED flashes several times) but nevertheless I'm unable to switch to it.
The IR remote control doesn't work at all (so that I can't enter the password in the menu) and the PIP button at the side doesn't work either.
Any help would be much appreciated.

just had the same happen to me but  had a small screen  on the botom left of the monitor shut down, i went to get a hdmi cable plug it in hdmi out and the other end into a tv  and viola in sending this from my 320e

  • Ideacentre B320 display problem

I'm suffering from a display problem, and cannot figure if it's a software or hardware issue... I'm on Win7 64bit. Here are the symptoms:
    1) For a while now, intermittently the screen would go grey (or some sort of a messed up pattern of rgb pixels) and I would have to power down forcefully. The frequency of this has gone up very much in the recent weeks
    2) When the machine freezes, I can still hear the music playing, and Windows continues to do whatever it was doing before
    3) Recently (I'm guessing after a Windows update), I wasn't able to boot into normal mode anymore. It would show the Windows splash screen, then before the login screen appears it would just go black and freeze. Leaving it for a long time doesn't lead to recovery
    4) To try and fix this, I've updated the ATI driver to the latest version, which didn't work so progressively tried every version between the11.6 and 10.3 (4?) which was the default when the machine was purchased. No luck there. I've also flashed the bios and that didn't help either
    5) I can boot into safe mode, so I disabled amdkmdap using sysinternal's autoruns.exe, which meant that I can boot into normal mode, but it woud fall back onto Windows' vga driver (1400x1050 only!)
    6) Now, even in the low res mode, almost daily the grey screen freezing would happen and I would have to reboot. Tapping the power button allows the shutdown dialog to come up (I'm guessing), and pressing enter would shut down the machine then.
There's an awful lot of posts on the internet regarding people having issues with ATI HD6450 and similar category cards, some of which sound similar to my case. They too experienced the freezing problem and reverting or upgrading the drivers had no effect (many even reinstalled windows completely). It sounds like though, the problem is software in origin at a guess.
On the other hand, the machine is now 3-4 years old and I could imagine that the GPU or graphics memory might have suffered wear and tear -- emailing Lenovo support took a week to get a response, the only thing they asked was whether my warranty is still active (after that it's been a complete silence) are they usually this terrible?
The last thing is, when the problem first occurred I booted using a linux live CD and it was all fine, at full resolution graphics. I haven't repeated this experiment since it takes quite a while to boot from a CD... but suggested that the hardware is intact. In fact, by messing about with the drivers I was able to boot into Windows normal mode and operate for 1-2 days, after which the grey freeze happened again. I haven't been able to get back into that since.
Here is my question: Is there a way to find out whether it's software or hardware that's at fault? If it turns out to be hardware, what are my options at replacements? The GPU is soldered onto the motherboard, so do I have to replace the whole thing? If it's a software issue, would restoring to factory default state fix this issue, given that an unknown update could cause the same issue at any time... This is the last time I will buy an AIO without removable everything.

Welcome to the Lenovo Community !
Probably a good test of the hardware is use the Linux Live CD that you used earlier.   If the graphics are still good when using the Live CD then your monitor and GPU are fine.
If the hardware checks out Ok then I suspect you have a driver problem.  Try using a driver cleaner to fully uninstall the ATI driver since bit and pieces left over from previous driver installs can cause problems.  The link below is for a free and highly recommended utility for cleaning the system of the graphic drivers.  After the clean up I would try installing the original driver that came with your system.

  • PC/Win 64bit/Creative Cloud " We are unable to load all your plans. Please try again" error message

I've just signed up with CC on my Win PC 7/64bit and when I log on to my Adobe account I get this error message, "We are unable to load all your plans & products. Please try again.
Just below it I get the correct:  Creative Cloud Membership/One Year
Any way to solve this error message?

Thank you for your reply. I appreciate the generic list of hardware/software/browser problems, but that's a lot to go through for what seems to be a simple problem. Not all of the info listed in your link applies to my problem, so I will provide only the info that is relevent.
    1. See attached photo of Error message found in Chrome Browser.
    2. I do not get the error using the FireFox browser.
    3. My hardware works with CC because I previously had a Cloud account for one year and all the software downloaded and worked perfectly.
    4. My system is Windows 7, 64bit with 12GB of Ram Memory. I have plenty of space on my 1TB C drive
    5. I am able to download CC software, but now when I open up an application (Premiere Pro, to be precise) it says it cannot verify my account.
    6. It appears that the issue isn't my hardware or operating system, but a problem with my online Adobe account which is paid for and listed (as you can see in the screenshot).
Can you help solve the problem?

  • Ideacentre B320 No Bluetooth

I just received my B320 (wireless version, Win7 64bit) a few days ago, and so far no BT device is being recognised.
I updated the firmware and driver (I think), but I cant't find the broadcom on my device manager to see what version I have installed.
I don't have wired keyboard to change bios BT settings either.
Lenovo BT Mgr comes up fine, just to tell me I'm desconnected everytime.
Tried with other BT devices, but these aren't picked up when I try to re-install the driver version 6.4.0.1800.
Another thing, the BLUEtooth light has never been ON, but the wifi one has been continously on even though I want it off.
Is there some hardware/software switch or setting I'm missing here? (yep, I know about the BT reset button)
Any ideas please, before I send it back?
    And thanks in advance.

    hey spoiltforchoice,
    welcome to the forums.
uninstall the bluetooth drivers and software from your unit. let windows install its own generic driver.
then, use the bluetooth connection wizard provided by windows and try to connect your device. does it work ?
later reinstall 6.4.0.1800 but set your unit to diagnostic mode via msconfig before doing so.

  • Photoshop CS5 Win 64bit, selection/point glitchy?

    Hi guys,
I'm trialing CS5 on 64bit at the moment, just wondering if anyone has had experience, where when using the selection tool, or move tool or any tool where you need to select or draw out something, I am regularly getting a glitch where where I selected/where the mouse point should be moves like magic 100+ pixels off (in random direction) where it should be. It like shifts off on its own?
Never had this issue in previous photoshops etc.
    Not sure what's causing this.
    Any help would be great

Someone reported a similar problem due to Windows tablet functions being enabled (it was trying to recognize some gesture).
And I've seen similar problems due to a bug in a third party plugin before (it just plain messed up mouse input in Photoshop).

  • For CF Server 9 developer win 64bit has the same running problems like 32bit, or more

    CFWACK8 reader:
Better install CF Server stand alone - so no need  Apache? For CF Server 9 developer windows 64bit has the same running  problems like 32bit, or more?
I have installed  http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp-windows.html ..WAMPP, well Mysql  may used by this CF Server 9 developer, although book use Apache Derby  embedded to cf server?
CFEclipse plugin may installed either in my (separate) Flash Builder 4 or Eclipse Helios, or only to latter?

CF 9 64-bit will generally be your best choice on a 64-bit platform, unless you specifically require something that's not available in 64-bit, like COM.
For development, the built-in web server is fine. But if you want to learn how to manage a web server, it's good to install Apache and configure CF to use that.
You may use any SQL engine for which there are JDBC drivers, including MySQL. Apache Derby is used for demos, etc, because it's bundled with CF. You don't want to use it for real projects, though.
You can install CF Builder in any modern Eclipse, including Helios or Flash Builder. This is largely a matter of personal preference. I've encountered some features that don't work properly unless you let CF Builder install its own bundled Eclipse, but these are features that I don't use much anyway.

  • Ideacentre B320 performance issues

    Hi,
My All-in-one system has been performing very poorly for past few months. following are few of the observations
    * booting time has slowed down
    * opening of any url (via chrome) is very slow, at times it doesn't open  (when logged in with a specific user)
    * Overall performance is slow, picutre browsing, starting any media player...
As i did not renew the McAfee AV , i suspect this could be the reason, with some new virus in the system.
    I can do the following.
    * Install the latest AV and the issues get resolved.
    * With new AV, issues are still there.  get the system formatted. However, once i format the system, i do not have the Win-7 s/w on any CD (have misplaced whatever CD's were provided in the pack).  Do i need to buy MS Win-7  or is there a way that i can get original s/w without purchasing with the fact the Lenovo had provided the s/w with the system.
Any help/comments to the above situation would be appreciated.
    Regards,
    Nagendra.

to check your system use spybot search and destroy for malware and other things https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0CCEQFjAA&url=h...
then install something like microsoft security software https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&sqi=2&ved=0CDEQFjAA... or bitdefender http://www.bitdefender.co.uk/solutions/free.html(what i use) run and see if that finds anything
after that if there is still something there goto add and remove/ uninstall and uninstall any toolbars and programs that are there you dont use
    if still no joy
    click start then run
    type msconfig
    click startup
    disable all
reboot and test if it works fine it is still a program
    goback to msconfig - startup
turn a couple of things on the reboot and test do this until you find the program that is causing the problem and remove it

  • IdeaCentre B320 - BIOS Auto Power Nonfunctional?

I wondered whether others had this issue, or whether people who had this issue were able to resolve it. We have a UPS system attached to a B320 that is intended to power the computer off in the event of an outage (this function works fine). I've configured the BIOS setting for "After Power Loss -> Power On". However, after testing several times, the PC fails to actually start up after power has been reconnected.
Is this an issue others have experienced? Is it a BIOS bug? Has anyone resolved this issue?

Thank you for your feedback, RMattoo.
We actually tried this (loading setup defaults) on all of the machines we ordered (4 total) and, despite multiple resets and multiple restarts, the BIOS setting fails to operate. Although the BIOS setting is "After Power Loss -> Power On," when power is restored, it sounds almost for a milisecond that the computer will power on (the lamp on the power switch flickers once, momentarily), the computer fails to actually start, unless manually switched on. This is, naturally, a major frustration.
    Any other ideas?
