Ideas for the ipod

i was thinking that it would be cool to have a ipod that i could sit in class and wirelessly play a game with a friend and listen to my music. plus have a wireless docking port so the ipod is almost like a palm pilot with out the memos and buttons. let me know what you think. is there ideas like this that other people thought of. is there plans to make a ipod with wireless abilitys. talk to me hear i love ipods. and the iphone i want a iphone too.

It will hopefully be released this week. An online store says they are due for delivery Oct 15, therefore Apple should be releasing them at least a week before that.

Splitting events for the ipod

is it possible to have each event show as a separate folder for the ipod. at the moment, all the photos i have come under the main library, they are not distinguished under the events they are put under on my mbp.

As Larry says you’ll need to make an Album of each event. The good news is that you can do this really fast - simply drag the Event to the Album heading in the Source (or Left-Hand) pane and iPhoto will automatically make an album of the same name. Also, as Albums simply reference the files on your Hard Disk they take up no extra disk space.

Thanks for your prompt response, however I have first seen it now. I have placed an active SIM card in the iPhone turned it off and on. It now says SIM locked, please write access code. The problem is I don't remember the password. When I connect it to iTunes it tell me that I have to write the password before it can be used with iTunes...... Do you have any good ideas? I see you are from the NYC area.... used to work there back in the early 90´ Those were good days..... What a City

Yes. They'll still replace your iPod. Several users have indicated that they have returned damaged iPods and were still given a replacement iPod.

Can i set up an access password for the ipod on my ipad 2?

I purchased an Ipad 2 for my son to use in his therapy for autism. He knows how to use it and knows that we have purchased shows and movies for him to watch in the car. Well now that is all he wants to do. I am wondering if there is a way that I can set up a password to access the ipod. If he cant get into the ipod to see shows and movies he will be fine with just playing the games we have for his therapy. I have looked online and have not had much luck finding an answer to this question. So again can someone please tell me if there is a way to set up an access password for the ipod on the ipad2??????

Have you got Home Sharing set up (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3819) ? i.e. he may be viewing the content from your computer, not on the actual iPad. If that is the case (which would explain to me him being able to access the videos via the iPod app), then the Restrictions settings that I've already mentioned should also work on that 'remote' content.
Edit : your last reply appeared whilst I was typing/checking this. And no, the Videos/iPod apps can't be passcode protected, you will need to go back into Restrictions and remove the restriction, or if the films are only on your computer and not on the iPad itself you could turn off home sharing on the iPad whilst he's playing the games : Settings > iPod and tap on your account id and/or password on the right under Home Sharing and delete it/ them (re-enter them when you want to re-enable it).

- Another cable
- Another USB port
- Reboot the computer
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

Looking for a leather case for the ipod Touch 4G

I'm looking for a real *GENUINE LEATHER* case for the iPod Touch 4G, preferably one that has a belt clip.
I just wasted $34 on the new Belkin "genuine leather case with belt clip" only to find out it smelled like rubber and felt nothing like what real leather would feel/smell like. Totally disappointed in Belkin advertising their cases as genuine leather when in fact they are made of cheap synthetic leather.

You can right click your video file, go to "Get Info", and select the Video tab and change the file type to Movie, TV Show, or Music Video, and then once that video is synced to the iPod it will be sorted into the proper location.
You can also create playlists of your video content. That would be the easiest/best way to get your genre classification system going.
