Buenas noches no se a quien dirigirle esta pregunta o donde colocarla ya que no posee o por lo menos no consegui donde escribir sobre aplicaciones, soy de Venezuela como podrán saber vivimos una situación muy dura en cuestiones políticas, el dólar en mi país esta ya casi en 30bs y conseguirlo con el gobierno es complicado, les escribo este blog para solicitarles un patrocinio para aplicaciones en su app store considero que tengo grandes ideas que me gustaría compartir o dar conocer que de alguna forma u otra se que cambiaria la forma de vivir en todo el mundo gracias por su atencion a quien pueda interesar escribir al correo

When i try to access the file manual i also get a 404:

I'm installing IOS only on a Mac and all is fine until the error.

Which is the version of Cordova and Kapsel you are using?
Your cordova version should be 4.2.0 and Kapsel version should be 3.7.1.

Don't know what "the apps" are; they won't happen all at once. It will happen for an individual application when the developer chooses to make a new version available.

New idea for app? how to i go about getting it made?

Im not totally sure this is the place to post this so if its wrong please steer me in the right direction. I have a very good idea for an a new app. There is nothing like it in the app store yet. So basically my question would be how do i go about getting something made into an app? Who do i pitch it too, where? any info would be appreciated. Its not a game so game companies are not what im looking for, and i dont know how to program at all so making it is not an option either.

Any ideas creating app to read log file when updated?

Afternoon all,
I have been asked to write a java app which will read the contents of the server log file every time the log file is updated by the server. The app will be deployed onto WebSphere Application Server.
Can anyone point me in the right direction as I have never written anything like this before and I don't know where to start. Any help will be much appreciated.

A bit of an abstract explanation, I guess. Your best bet is to first ascertain that Log4J is indeed in use, and then read the documentation, which is surprisingly good for an Apache project :-)

Any Ideas on Apps to Transfer PDF collections?

I have a bunch of PDF files I would like to distribute to Field Staff. Many of the PDF files are organized together in subject matter. Is there anyway I can "pre-configure" and organize this PDF collection in a single file then have the field staff download from my company server? Then, when they would transfer to their iPad, the PDF's would still retain the pre-configured organization. Similar to a comic book reader app (like comiczeal), I want them to have the collections by subject matter all ready to go for them when they open the application to read them. No way they can import hundreds and then it is up to them to organize. Obviously a free app would be best.

I can't answer this very well for iPad in the Enterprise but for my personal collection of PDFs, here is something I do:
iBooks syncs PDFs from iTunes. IBooks will let you sort PDFs by category, just like it does books. The categories are the genres you give to the PDF files in iTunes. The default genre for PDFs is an empty field so normally there are no categories for PDFs but you can create whatever genres you desire for them. If you select a bunch of them and "get info" you can change the whole bunch at the same time. These genres will give you one level of organization in iBooks, and then it is alphabetical within each category.
One note, though: I have noticed that if I have already synced a book and then I change the genre in iTunes, it won't sync that genre change to my iPad. I have to unsync the book(s) then re-sync them.
Actually, one more note: As far as I can tell there is no way to collapse a category in iBooks to hide all the PDFs underneath of it. A list of hundreds of PDFs might require some scrolling to get to the categories near the end.
Maybe something in there will lead you to a simple and free solution for your staff to sync PDFs.

Have a new iphone 5S and music won't play when headphones are plugged in. Restored the phone and tried again without restoring my info. Any ideas on apps that cause this?

I just purchased a new iphone 5s and music would not play on it with headphones plugged in. They replaced the phone for me but it continued to do this. So I restored the phone and tried to play music on youtube before I restored all my settings and apps....Any suggestions on common apps that may cause this?

We have tried 3 different brands of headphones, including the apple set and auxiliary audio cord.
Also, music works fine before I load all my apps, hence why I ask if anyone knows about any kind of certain apps causing this.

so you need to sort the file? How is the file organized? If messages are stored on individual lines its pretty straight forward. You could buffer the file into a vector then sort the vector. Here's some quick code to buffer a file to a vector.

Xacir, nunca quise decirlo en ese hilo para no levantar más polvareda, pero mi caso es el único caso en que la persona que me dio duro se ha molestado por una llamada de atención hacia un aparente uso indebido de los foros (pregunté porque me pareció que se hacía propaganda a un programa comercial). Ahora estoy convencido de que se trató de un uso indebido, y la única razón que se me ocurre para los ataques de esa persona es que también tenga un interés comercial en el sitio que se publicitaba. Fue tal su tozudez que no quiso entender mis explicaciones, bastante claras por lo demás. Y ni siquiera cuando una tercera persona imparcial, que creo que además es un moderador, le hizo ver que sus opiniones no tenían justificación, dio su brazo a torcer. Por lo menos, nunca se disculpó. En fin, son sinsabores que hay que soportar para mantender encendida la llamita.
Con respecto a la poca participación en estos foros en castellano, atribuyo parte de la culpa a Adobe España, que no los publicita en su sitio. La última vez que lo visité, sólo había un enlace que pasaba fácilmente desapercibido. Realmente me cuesta creer que los únicos usuarios hispanoparlantes de productos Adobe que tienen preguntas sobre ellos sean los que publican sus preguntas aquí; mi estimación es que el número debería ser al menos unas cien veces mayor. Hasta los foros en francés tienen más participantes que los nuestros, y no me van a convencer que los francoparlantes sean más que nosotros...

Any one any idea when App Store will be back online?

I can see my updates, I can see my purchases but Categories , Top Charts and Featured are all offline, have been all afternoon.
My 30MB downloa dis working fine.
Mind you Keynote, Numbers. Pages all crash when trying to open anything in the cloud and now 1Password just stalls on open.
I guess they are all cloud issues.
Pretty sure it is not local, did a complete OS rebuild this morning - iMac flakey since upgrading to Mavericks think it is to do with my fingerprint scanner

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Step 1
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select

Enter the name of the crashed application or process in the Filter text field. Select the messages from the time of the last crash, if any. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message (command-V).
When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Important: Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.
Step 2
In the Console window, look under User Diagnostic Reports for crash reports related to the crashed process. The report name starts with the name of the process, and ends with ".crash". Select the most recent report and post the entire contents — again, the text, not a screenshot. In the interest of privacy, I suggest that, before posting, you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if it’s present (it may not be.) Please don’t post other kinds of diagnostic report — they're very long and not helpful.

Problems between IDE and Deployment on App Server 8.2

I have an application that I wrote last year using JSC-EA and converted it ti JSC2-1. I can run the application on my development environment SunAppServer 8.2 with no problems.
When I attempt to deploy it to a standalone Sun App Server 8.2 I experience the following:
1) Login page works fine
2) Main menu selection page works fine
3) Results page does not display information.
More details:
Main Menu page consists of:
1) a page with a page fragment that contains a menu.
2) 3 or 4 JSF components
Results page consists of:
1) 2-3 JSF text components (display OK)
2) Same menu page fragment as above (displays OK)
3) Second page fragment that contains a table with components added under program control (does not get displayed in deployment server, but displays fine in IDE server).
Is there ANY possibility that this can be related to migration from JSC2-EA to JSC2-1? If so, what could cause this behavior?
Is there ANY explanation as to why the application displays OK in the IDE (same app server version as deployment) but not in the deployment server?

For future references:
this happens to me too and I found that the cause is that the AM server you are going to configure, is already registered into the directory server.
Try running this command (with the obvious parameters substituted)
ldapsearch -B -T -D 'cn=directory manager' -w YOUR_CREDENTIALS -b ou=1.0,ou=iPlanetAMPlatformService,ou=services,YOUR_BASEDN -s base objectclass=* | grep YOUR_SERVERNAMEIf you found that the server you are configuring is listed here try going to AMserver console (if you have another AMserver configured) and browse to Configuration->System Properties->Platforms. If the server is here, remove it, if not, just hit Save (very important).
If this is your first AM and is a first installation you can just get rid of the Directory Server suffix and recreate it with the Top Entry alone.
